Nashoji: why are you soo bitter about d sacking of dis man? They may bring in more competent person to take charge of dat position, besides u cant succide if u dont take risk at times. Pls stop being bitter because it cant chant anytin. Answer: you don't just met out such treatment (sack) to an individual who diligently discharged his duties and achieved meritoriously what others before him could not. And someone will come and preach coming back home to 'serve'. Rubbish! |

The Beam: Motif8: ur opening statement is actually an unfortunate function of the despicable state of Nigeria and the non-existence of appropriate monitoring of governance.
Your thinking is: -Is it not ONLY a plane crash? -Just a single one shey? -Compared to all the others we'd been having before, should we not be awarding this man for cleaning up the sector?
Dear friend, in an ideal society, one crash caused by administrative irresponsibility is a crash too many for any administrator under whose watch regulations were so lax that planes with a combination faulty engines and a pilot with a marathon schedule were allowed to take off.
The simple fact that no airport regulation official was recorded as raising an objection gives credibility to the conclusion that this was standard practice.
That ONE CRASH was a testament that he was criminally negligent in the discharge of his duty of care and should be held vicariously liable as has been the case. Should any lawsuit be instituted, u can be sure he would be joined as a co-defendant. And given his credentials, this was someone who actually was trained to operate by the highest standards, but too many years operating as a local champion had eroded his principles.
I don't really think he can get a similar job to this anywhere else except maybe in Niger, Somalia or any other back water country. The best he can hope for is to consult which with his credentials should be easy but assuming Russia or US'll employ him as an administrator in their aviation sector? Haba! ^^^ Talk of giving the dog a bad name just to kill it. It's people like you that earn a living out of cheap blackmail. Smh |

Billyonaire: The bolded shows the cantankerous nature of the man if you are right, why the f/u/c/k should anyone stop my humble self, from buying my humble Jet if I have my humble cash. Isnt it ironic that he was being parochial ? (That is if you are right oh, but I think you are dead wrong my friend.) Demuren has served the country well, its time to allow fresh mandate with fresh ideas into the evolving sector, courtesy of the able mInIsTeR! Ol boy, in the first place you can't buy and bring in just any aircraft in Nigeria only because you can afford it. And then you have to undergo some rigorous stages of processes to show you have the capacity to manage and operate the said aircraft. Needless to say here there are criteria the aircraft should meet before it enters the country. You don't just bring in scraps because you want to cut cost. See> Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs) |

wesley80: Plenty plenty talk, little little sense. We know your mouth is bigger than your head but do you mind drawing on some common sense from the pit of your stomach? Let me guide you; Oya how was Demuren transforming our aviation sector with his "wealth of experience" b4 this sack which you're not sure what he did/didnt do to suddenly deserve? You obviously lack knowledge of the happenings in the aviation sector. For ignorants like you I suggest his online profile will give you an insight to his achievements as NCAA DG. And bad-mouthing someone's sincere opinion on a forum can make you appear daft. |

A Nigerian comedian once made a joke out of this.. He painted a scenario where God doles out his blessings and sent His angels to share among some designated persons, along with the said persons' photographs for onward identification. It then happened that some of the beneficiaries could not be identified because they have undergone one form of cosmetic surgery or the other, so the angels of course went back with their blessings.

Kept me company during the past yuletide. I really enjoyed that guy that goes on air around 2pm (I think he's called Didi), very funny human being. His street Igbo lingua is just hilarious! Also Jude & Tobe in the morning was soothing. Wish they could stream their programs for us far from the S/E. |

I totally agree and support them. Only corpers who read education, or who are qualified to teach should be allowed to do so. But if I run a school, I probably would allow the corpers teach in senior Secondary classes, but a† primary school level...No way! |

Anton LaVey, founder of the church of Satan, provides a very succinct explanation (as cited on an excellent blog explaining Baphomet in detail):
“The symbol of Baphomet was used by the Knights Templar to represent Satan. Through the ages this symbol has been called by many different names. Among these are: The Goat of Mendes, The Goat of a Thousand Young, The Black Goat, The Judas Goat, and perhaps the most appropriately, The Scapegoat. |

Politics › Re: Patrick Obahiagbon On GEJ's 100 Days In Office by Myluv1: 1:33am On Sep 06, 2011 |
Jakumo: For the avoidance of vacillation or vacuous rhetoric, I enthusiastically concur with the fundamental parametric locus standii established by the Honorable Grammar Meister Patrick Obahiagbon, with respect to the modus operandii deployed by disgruntled, snivelling career prognosticators of doom, as they seek philosophical footing and transcendent relevance amid shifting sands intermittently reconstituted by ephemeral rip-tides of political compartmentalization.
Truth be told, dispassionate international observers still reminisce in bouts of wistful nostalgia about the Golden Era of Enlightened Discourse and Linguistic Multidimensionality, when fabled Grammar Meister Obahiagbon held the rapt floor spellbound as he regaled august gatherings with unrelenting bombardments of sanctimonious invective, pseudo-argumentative jousting, irreverent yet insightful banter and tautological extrapolation ad-nauseum ad-infinitum, nihil incarborendum illegitimii.
The bland, subdued, understated, uneventful, stupefyingly laborious, tedious, ponderous and unmitigatingly morose tone of all Nigerian House of Assembly gatherings convened during the dark, neuvo-nihilistic, Bohemian Post-Obahiagbon Era, have established in a fundamental, unequivocal, irrefutable and incontrovertible manner, that an individual of grandiloquent bearing, caliber, fortitude and constitution did once hold forth in those hallowed halls, and shall thus be remembered by appreciative chroniclers of the human condition in both its panoramic complexity and its parabolic trajectory. Can't stop roflmao and farting simultaneously! @ Jakumo, you've killed this thread. You have given Meister Obahiagbon a run for his dictionary. Lol |
