My sister calm down, l feel your pains.  l was two years last May.  We just have to believe that theres nothing God cannot do.  l will advice that u try as much as possible to get something doing, that will take your mind off it a bit, cuz when u are idle, your mind will be occupied with it.    Do the ones u can, and live the rest for God.  The bible say the Barren shall keep house and become a joyful mother of CHILDREN.  This is our inheritance in the Lord and it shall come to pass.

Arlington, my sister l understand all those symptom tricks grin cheesy, still crossing my fingers - the prophesy shall speak forth this time around, and my (our)  joy shall be full

@Aladuni . Hope you are taking clomid with doctors supervision.

@ all,

my doctor gave me one fertility drug that supposed to make me release quality eggs (dont know the name oo - very unfortunate). l notice that this cycle, when l supposed to ovulate, l somehow felt it, but didnt notice cervical mucus but somehow wetness. Does absence of CM really indicate non-ovulation? l have researched online, some pple say they got pg without visible CM.

Career / Re: Secretaries (Or Personal Assistants) On Nairaland by MyPeace(f): 3:18pm On Sep 18, 2009
ChichiAda welcome to the forum

Wow!!! the job functions they subject you to seem really like that of an ice assistant as u said.

1. Yes the work of a PA is purely administrative in nature. In a very small office, you may work as an office assistant, front desk, secretary/PA (as seems in ur case). In a very organised office, they supposed to have an office assistant, departmental secretaries. Seems u are the only administative assistant they have in the office. If your coy doesnt have office assistant request for one.

2. In an organised office, he supposed to have a department secretary or an office assistant, who should be responsible for that. But in the absence of that, you just have to do it for the sake of the job. Get a water flasks, everying morning boil water and put there, he can use without distubing u.

3. This is purely office assistant job. They should get one, they cant call u PA still have u do that. lf u have office assisant, hè/she will report to you, so u still answer query if she fails to do the right thing.

4. lf the meeting in ur office, its ur duty to get the tea ready. You can delegate ur office assisant to do that.

Pls dont quit ur job, winners dont quit and quitters dont win. As u said, u are still an undergraduate, you are there to gather experience, after ur education, l beleive u will get a job that will place u where u rightly belong.

Make urself happy and enjoy ur job the best u can, afterall doing those things, does not take anything from you!

Arlington:

hello my peace,
I had my last miscarriage in March and i saw my period in July.It takes a while for your body to get back to Normal.
Have your doctors run tests to see if everything is ok ?Arrgh i hate the fake symptoms it can make one crazy it is funny how these things happen when you want a baby.
Blessed are the women who just get pregnant have healthy babies without knowing what God has done for them.
May we never ever again cast our fruits before the harvest time again.

Haa, if l had know this before, l wont have been so stressed as l was when my period refused to show up. l never knew it could take that long, l spent alot in hospital. Trust some doctors, he made me believe something was wrong but could not really see anything, thank God it later came.

My Colleague in the office, had similar thing, her doctor did family planning for her to correct the stuff, till now close to 2years the period still doesnt run. lt runs when shes carrying the IUD, if she removes it, it stops.

Have you heard about this 21 days tip? A friend told me that if a woman gets to age 30, that ovulation changes to day 21 instead of day 14 (However, ovulation depends on the length of the cycle) and preferably position is reentry, which deposits sperm straight to the womb. l dont know how truth it is ooo, but that was what l did and conceive for the first time in life.

The Bible says, we shall never caste our young, or be barren in the Land.

Arlington, u are right, but l found out that the more l think of it the more l get fake pregancy symptoms when am about to see my period.   So l think we just have to stop the stress of thinking, though it impossible to be completely forgotten as u said.

How long did it take u to get your period after each of your miscarriages?  l have my first miscarriage in April and got my first  in August.

l should think every coy pay transport allowance. Blue chips coys are in the island, thats the 'koko' with better pay
Career / Re: Secretaries (Or Personal Assistants) On Nairaland by MyPeace(f): 12:09pm On Sep 16, 2009
l see Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) as more of COMPANY SECRETARY stuff than ADMIN SECRETARY.  For me, it favours lawyers than admin secretary like us (personal opinion), however, admin secretaries are doing it.  The CBAN, u wan become banker?  lf you are in the industry thats good.  For the IAAP that should be for every one of us, may not likely create another niche for us, but consolidate our existing profession.

Your proposed course of study is cool,  But there is this charterd Institute of Administrators of Nigeria school at Badagry, Lagos.  Incase u want to become a chartered administrator, combined with your Pgd in your proposed course of study, that will be sellable in the labor market.

I would like to go for my Post graduate studies. I need ideas/suggestions from good people of this forum especially those who have been there and done that. I have HND (Secretarial Studies). Mail to ayokemi2003@yahoo.com.

Thank you.

What area of study do u want ur Pgd? l usually like professional courses instead of following the crowd. l have not been there anyway, but applied for Masters with Unilag in 2008, but didnt get admission.

l wish u all the best!
Career / Re: Which Is Better Working On Lagos Island Or On The Mainland? by MyPeace(f): 9:43am On Sep 16, 2009
Apart from good companies with structured pay pattern e.g banks. 90% percent of private companies in mainland pay peanuts as salary,  Island pay better salary, thats where u have high calibre of companies, but if care is not taken u spend all on transportation fare.  Having worked on the two sides, l prefer Mainland (because l live in maindland), lf  l can get a good offer like what l have now -  l doubt if l can see that on the mainland though.  Therefore Island all the way, not minding the stress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
