@nwangap

I will advise you take it easy.  Abdominal scan which l believe you did, shouldnt dictate anything at this stage if you are actually preg.  And sometimes blood test keep reading negative until you are into your 6wks.  l will advise you  give yourself more 2weeks, and repeat the test, if it doesnt come by then.  Pls allow yourself and dont take any action yet.

@franny1980
Congratuations!.

you keep recommending Funbell, i have been using them and dont see anything too special about them, only that they now seem too expensive for my liking. How can they collect N1000 for blood pg test when others collect less than that.

l attend the one at Ikeja GRA, i.e Grange School. it is one of the best centres. For PE1, you supposed to have started before now, lectures started October 16, they would have gone far now. you need to be present from begining to the end because of Operation Research unless u are good in calculations. I will be writing PE 11, am not attending lectures, but l attended Inter. 11 and PE 1 at the given centre. l recommend it!

toba:

Well the employer reserves the hire&fire rights, which can be exercised at anytime. Now if your friend have a proper letter of employment, it would contain various conditions before she would be sacted. I mean the usual clause of one month lieu notice from either party. If either party fails in meeting the conditions, then the law can take its course

not only the notice should be considered. Did the sack follow due process. Did it follow the organisational policy on termination of employment. lf they went thru the laid dow process of termination, u dont have a case, but if not you can sue for wrongful termination of employment. The problem is that most of our naija coys dont have a well defined process manual, so u dont even know when they are going wrong or right, the issue of sueing becomes impossible.
If you have your employee manual, go thru it and see if it has a well defined process on termination. Or if your coy has a documented mgt system, go thru it, and see if the termination is justifiable.

Registration for the exam has not started, but lectures have started incase you want to register for the lectures. Go to their head office and make enquiry to know where you would start from with your NIM membership.

@ everybody i need a little advice on February cipm exams ,am a fresh grad an wud be headin for service dis month,i intend to enrol nd write exams in february, considering d facts that i wud be in camp for most of november, nd wud b quite busy with nysc business, soon after nd wudnt have time for lectures, i wud like to ask my people who have written cipm exams if i can cope with self-study, nd i think am to start with intermidiate 2,

l wrote int.2 last February. You can well cope with self study. Though l attended lecture during my time and passed all the four papers, but its something you can read on ur own. PE1 is the one you must attend lecture becuase Operation Research, unless you know the course before now. Every other stage u can read on ur own. l will be writing Pe11 next year February, and l intend studing on my own.

Calm down, you are barely one months old in ur new coy. your boss has to know and trust you before he can involve you in his sechdule. All you can do now is to let him know that u can be trusted with info. and also let him see the l can do attitude in you. Secretarial job does not really involve much of your boss's job, but a PA position involves his job. Take it easy he will unfold with time. Dont come here to tell us that work is killing you oo grin

l wasnt able to pay for the IAAP, it was one of the members OJURERE that brought the idea. Someone later come up that we should pay the money to him, that he will help us to pay, bla bla bla. I have forgotten about that.

I dont believe in NIPS, l dont see much credibility in the institute.

CIPM - l wrote my PE 1 exam last August, l believe God to pass all the papers, so l will be writing the final stage next Feb.

@mypeace, am so sorry for your loss, am really in tears now, I can understand how ure feeling right now but I want you to have a firm believe that You are already a mother of great children, It doesnt matter what the situation is saying now, God is bigger than all of it, His promises are sure and settled, no compromise,
for Ehi stuff being an ibo is enlargement of the spleen but you need to check it out, Its also normally treated with local herbs. I will advise you to do a thorugh medical check up first before taking a herbal stuff, Personally am not a fan of herbal or traditionally stuff. I believe scans or tests can identify the actual problem whether its Ehi or whatever.

Thank you for ur response. abegi is it the same thing with 'ori nwa' its like they use the two names interchangeably. From the explanation l got and from my experience ,whatever it is, is a living being. Because whenever l concieve l usually have a sharp niddle-like intermittent bite below my navel. They said thats when Whatever is biting the 'baby' because its occuping baby's space and doesnot want a rival -lol. l also learnt that every woman has it, but if yours stays where it supposed to stay no problem,but mine left where it supposed to stay and stayed where the baby stays.

they said home ready for it is to stop eating sugar.

My God is still alive!!

Pls Diva if you have more info on it let me know. thx.

Thank you everyone for your wishes and prayers.

@Arlington
Thank you. Let see what the doc will suggest.

@Limar
Dont be carried away with what the pastors are saying.  Receive and claim it since it a positive thing, but dont dwell on it.  Some times when God says a thing, it doesnt just happen immediatelty. When God told Abraham he was going to have a son, it took several years to manifest, but the truth is that the Word has been spoken and it must surely come to pass.

l am speaking from experience, l entered a public bus one day,  a preacher in the bus got up and told me that God said He has opened my womb, after about one week, a family pastor friend, called to tell me that God told him l was pregnant.  These happened late last year, but in real l wasnt pregnant.  But l believe and trust that the Word has gone forth and it must surely come to pass!

So dear, just relax, do all you supposed to do to help conception and leave the rest to God.  finally believe that the Words spoken to you will surely come to pass and dont go about looking for prophets, because they must say something, even when God is not speaking!

Yes, l think the problem now is keeping the pregnacy and not conceiving. The injection is progestorne. As per the doctor he was introduced to me recently, dont even know his speciality. But l will be getting a specialist opinion this time around, l trust God it wont happen again. The blood work u talked about share more with me pls.

Ejadamen
Dont just mind the devil, surely l will have the last laugh, this year is still very far along for God to show his blessings.

Ada thank you.

They called it Ehi i.e igbo name for it.  (sorry for non igbos l dont know what it is called in english or other dialect)  For pple who understands the Ehi stuff, what is your take?.

they said it stayed where the baby supposed to stay and when l conceive it start fighting the baby to go. Very funny, l discussed it with my doctor, he medically doesnt believe it.

@stages
congratulations for your boundle of joy.

Ejadamen, Arlington and other preggies. Hope u are doing well. His Grace will see u thru!

l am sorry for this bad news again. l got a bfp last week friday. l was advised to have a bed rest and was also given an injection (meant to last for 4wks i.e onces a week) because l was spotting, after the first injection that friday the spotting stopped and all sounded well. Last tuesday l did a scan which showed all was well, but to my surprise on tuesday nite l started having abdomen pain, went back to the hospital on wednesday morning, did another scanned, was diagnosed to be having threatening abortion, doc couldnt do anything to rescue the situation, the rest is history. To him he is VERY surprised that it happened with all the precautions we took.

This is the third loss, my enemy seem very helpless and not me. l dont know again, when doc said medically he doesnt seem to know why. Some pple are calling it native names and want me to take herb - what next?

ls the pain a constant pain? Or does it comes at a particular time of every month? lf the later is the case, then it could be ovulation pain. l have it when l really do ovulate and it could be so painful that bd could be a problem.
