Update: the drugs are working well so contractions have stopped (last one was at 1.30am). The fibroid is degenerating and the pain is what stimulated contractions. My doctors are trying to stall delivery to 36weeks but I’ve gotten 2doses of dexamethasone injection to hasten lung maturity. I’ll be 35 weeks tomorrow and the baby’s weight as at yesterday was 2.8kg hence my major duty is to eat very well to increase his weight to at least 3.3kg by this Friday and 3.5kg by 36 weeks so he won’t be small (to decrease chances of NICU admission).
This will definitely end in praise in Jesus name

June teamies, e be like say I may port o. Started having preterm contractions (courtesy of the fibroid) since yesterday evening, had to rush back to the hospital early this morning. I’m back on admission and I’ve been placed on more drugs to stop the contraction and hasten my son’s lung maturation. My doctors are also prepping me for emergency CS incase it doesn’t stop (CS cos I’ve had 2 myomectomies and I hv placenta previa currently). I’m just 34weeks 5 days but my baby is 2.8kg. I really want him to hold on a bit longer till 36 weeks

Abeg, does this doctor know u’re pregnant? Ibuprofen is not safe in pregnancy. It can cause heart issues for the baby. Nimartem and embaether are both anti malarial medications (doing the same function, so u don’t hv to use both at once). I ll suggest u go to another hospital abeg

Today I managed to go to the hospital and the doctor prescribed ibuprofen tab, Nimartem QS, Embaether, amoxicillin capsules and some others. As I see the drugs, my mind no give me. Please mums, since I put to bed on Monday morning my baby has been on oxygen and IV fluids, they said till her breathing is stabilised cos they won't want food or anything to mistakenly enter her airways. Fortunately I didn't start lactating immediately but since yesterday I've been flowing... I can't express and keep the milk cos of light issues... Baby has not taken colostrum (someone said for 2 weeks the breast still produces colostrum, donno how true), should I just squeeze and throw it away to prevent pains? Please I need help before the pains fully sets in

Like play like play, this single tiny fibroid causing me pain has placed me on tramadol, salbutamol and fluids. It never disturbed me all through first and second trimester, don’t know why it’s now that I’m less than 3 weeks to term that it’s now showing me pepper. Spent my day crying like an infant. I have my hospital bag ready just incase my son decides to play surprise. As big as I am, my mum has been calling back to back as par I’m still her baby. Omo, I salute all mothers. We’re extraordinary

Congratulations. Mama, just relax. Ask ur doctor for diclofenac suppositories, it works like magic for CS pain. Always clean the CS line with cotton wool and spirit three times thrice daily- meaning in the morning, afternoon and evening, u’ll clean it three times each. You can’t have a full bathe yet till about a week (confirm with ur doctor), so it’s bed bath for now. You can eat ANYTHING you want, so enjoy. You can’t have sex till 3 months after ur CS so that ur uterus would have healed perfectly just incase another baby decides to come unexpectedly.
That’s basically all I guess

Hey mama. Usually, in late stages, the space in the womb is reduced as the baby has grown to take up available space. Hence, movements are less. My friend had same experience. However, you should do the scan just to be sure. There won’t be cause for alarm by God’s grace

Good evening mamas, My Los activity has really reduced. Tho I know he is in there, but for for days now or so he rarely moves or kick on his own onless I cajole him like touch my belly for a long time, shake it or something like that, and he just move to tell me he is in there and that's all, till I touch him again.. at 35wks fah. Even his dad noticed.
Going to do scan tomorrow Sha just to be sure, if to say I no dey use general hospital and my doctors are easy to access I for go hospital straight sef.
Any reason to be worried or is that how baby boys do?

June people, vomiting dey show me pepper.. I vomit literally every 2 days. My food rarely digests. As soon as I’m done vomiting, my baby kicks repeatedly and tickles my insides. Lol. I’m so looking forward to delivery. I don try abeg. 3 weeks to term. I no even mind 36 weeks at this point so far my baby and I are safe. God is my strength

My coconut oil is really doing wonders against stretch marks on my tummy. No new stretch marks. The old one that was coming out has blended perfectly with my skin and I have no discoloration on my tummy. I massage my tummy with the oil twice a day. Thank you to those that suggested coconut oil to me.

sex is xy. That edd get comma cos I’m having a CS. My initial surgery date was moved forward during my last antenatal due to my medical history. I don’t know what to expect in my next antenatal. By God’s grace, I’ll share my story when my son arrives.
I’m seriously counting down with all my strength. I just dey eat everything in sight cos I get so hungry now. I’m buying the rest of my baby things this week so I’ll pack my bag and have it handy.
