i think the poster is missin the point. if they brag about being abroad they arent bragging about material things or money. they say that to emphasize enlightenment. i guess they assume that people who have left 9ja have more insight than those that havent left nigeria.

which is still wrong, even b4 i left naija i knew alot than many nigerians i came across online in many subject matters, at a very young age i use to write alot and a few of my writings have been published outside nigeria and within nigeria. so leaving the shores of nigeria does not automatically make u enlightened. moreover, most of what ppl claim to have been enlighten on bcuz they got out of nigeria is what they ought to have known long b4 now
