no offense to Beef and Donpuzo, both of u are missing the point, there is a place for all these languages, it boils down to using the right tool for the right job. why kill an ant with a shot gun?   for example, forum sites like NL can safely use php to quickly generate pages without any real harm to its overall security and using ASP in my opinion will be an over kill. another example is when someone needs a router for a small office of 3 computers and one network printer and u start to suggest he/her buys a cisco 3845 router that can support 2500 vpn tunnels when a simple linksys or netgear (5 to 8 switch port) router will do the trick even with a small possibility of expansion in the future; pure over kill. more so, all technologies have their flaws as there is no perfect technology, all can be exploited; like i always say, made by man, will be destroyed by man! in my book, understanding the project at hand and implementation is a bigger risk than the actual language or tool used. when i meet programmers fighting over when to use tcl instead of python, i know 4 sure that they dont fully understand what the project really entails.  my point is this both of u (Beef and Donpuzo) are smart guys, so let this argument go.

why are u interested in php? u can start learning from the php website itself http://us2.php.net/tut.php, this is also a very good website to learn from http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp (ironically, the site was designed with asp!   ). u can also download free e-books on line from various websites or just go to 4shared or rapidshare to download them.  let me know if u need further help, if i am not too busy i will lend u a helping hand

Last night, I was at home just browsing, chilling with my cousin and occasionally peeping into naira land. Roommate had been gone for hours on end, (probably bleeping the whole town, I told my visiting cousin), so I and cousin were the only ones in the apartment. Everyone pretty much knows I was mad when I threatened to bleep J, I didn’t really mean it o. Besides, I’ve been holding the kitty captive for more than a year to get my life back on track, why should I dish out just because some silly girl made me mad?
So Saturday was just a laid back night, indoors!

Later on roomie comes in with the other guy she bleeps. And by the way, I and this guy have a mutual dislike for each other. I mean, even if a girl is going to cheat, the other guy should be worth it, right? This guy she cheats on J with on the other hand is a ruffian! He has nothing on J and I fail to see what roomie sees in him…maybe the s-ex is good sha. That’s the only logical answer I can arrive at. Maybe J is too much of a teddy bear to be good in the sack!!!

And as a side note, I don’t know what is wrong with roommate, she likes flaunting her men like; ‘See what I got, you have nothing’.

Cos immediately my cousin takes his leave, Roommate and her boyfriend number 2, start French kissing and stuff right in front of ME. Well, me I just shut down my laptop and left for my room o, to see a movie. They were laughing and giggling like they just won the lottery or something. (Two immature drivels…hiss!). I wonder if she thinks I miss having s-ex or something. She acts as if she’s waving food in front of a starved woman. Me o, I love s-ex but I don’t miss it. When I meet the right guy, I know Il have lots and lots so WTF?!

I know people have been suggesting vengeance and stuff, but I just decided to breathe and let it go. If J has to find out, then he will have to find out by himself or through others. Only that she really knows how to play her game…and I wonder if J will ever discover the real girl behind the façade she puts up. But I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that he DOES find out!

I know for sure that J doesn’t visit Nairaland though. He has this PA who does all his online stuffs for him. I know cos it’s another of roomie’s empty, breezy boasts that J’s PA is responsible for most of her assignments and researches (lazy slut), so as far as I know, she’s blissfully ignorant about this thread.

And by the way, I’ve started cleaning up in anticipation of leaving! I’m sick and tired of living in a darn war zone. Whenever I’m going back to the flat, my heart starts beating fast and I wonder what poo she going to come up with, again! Can’t allow anybody to get my hair from the bath tub for voodoo (she hates me that much). So I’m moving in with one of my cousins…and I’m hoping no more drama before I leave in about a weeks’ time.

But life’s funny though. I cheated on my boyfriend just once and got caught (that was the old me peeps, now am an angel) …but roomie’s been getting away with blue murder over and over again, while J is none the wiser. I feel sorry for J…he doesn’t deserve a girl like roomie!

I previously started a thread some days ago about 'how I allowed a good man slip my hands'. But I can't even continue writing that one again because I have stuff happenin presently, The other story is about the past and I have decided to let the past rest inorder to deal with this new issue bugging me.

Now here's what is happening-
I have been supportive to my boyfriend who has been on his own (doing Business) since he graduated a couple of years ago. The business isnt a big one, just enough for him to get by. At a point, he decided to look for a job as a stable means of income.

He got an one excellent one last year. An extremely well-paid international job. And there was an instant change in his character. The guy is no longer recognizable to the guy I've been dating all these while. I was with him when he didnt have a job, I stuck by him through thick and thin! Now I dont understand why he wants to treat me this way!
He is now proud, arrogant and talks down at me and others! I can't even reach him emotionally anymore! He claims he doesnt really have the time to act the way he used to,  due to the busy nature of his job, but I know better. He has changed!

Pls, I'd appreciate advice on how to make the situation better. Does anyone have valuable words of counsel?



N.B-Some1 misquoted the word 'Applicant'. I meant applicant as in 'job applicant'. I didn't want to use the word 'formally jobless' to describe my boyfriend. I think its insultive!

it is a shame that u dated someone for so long and up till now u don't know how to get around to his heart. do u think if he didn't change now he won't change in the future? all human beings go through phases in life and it all depends on circumstances, u should know ur man well enough to filter what is substance and what is just chaff. ask ur mom if ur father has been the perfect man or husband from day one and she will tell u things she had to endure but with wisdom handled it properly. then go ask ur dad if ur mom has been the perfect woman or wife and he will tell u stories that will make ur ears wax but then again they worked it out. my point is this, rather come to NL and take advise from girls with no head on their shoulders telling u "that is why they don't date broke guys", yet they don't have a bicycle tire to their name, sit down and evaluate ur r/s with ur BF, find out what u use to do in the pass when he was broke that he might have taken offense to but kept to himself for fear that u will disgrace him publicly and please don't come here acting like u never did any wrong, we are not 2 yr olds. work on ur flaws and be a woman,  improve ur own self academically, financially, spiritually and otherwise and u will find out the more value u add to urself the more he sees u as a virtuous woman and not just one who sees him as her ticket to a new benz; his common sense will finally return to him. just my 2cents
