PenSniper: @Op, i know there are people who will mock you for this question as well as what i'm about to pen down in answer to your question Whether people accept it or not, the Bible is the only source of solution to most if not all mysteries in life. God already answered your question in the only authentic scripture on earth - the Bible. When people die (1st death), as soon as their soul exit the physical into the spiritual realm, the are faced with two paths - one narrow and the other, wide -"Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and there be that find it - Matt. 7 vs 13 & 14 (Kjv). The wide way leads to hell, a place of torment and anguish while the narrow way leads to a purgatory with no punishment whatsoever. The former is for those that died without Christ while the latter is meant for those who died in Christ. I must emphasise that a christian may die without Christ (Romans 8 v 9). Both remain in their respective place awaiting final judgment. Those who fall into this judgment are those that suffer the second death https://www.lds.org/youth/article/what-happens-after-we-die?lang=eng |

victorkc: The events proceeding the second coming of Christ are in stages. First of all when the trumpet sounds the dead in Christ shall arise and join the righteous living and they shall be taken to the kingdom of God in heaven where they will spend one thousand years. However during this Same coming of Christ the unrighteous living shall all die as they cannot behold the glory of God. This is first death. They will be bound for 1000 Years with devil their master After the righteous has spent 1000 years in heaven then the kingdom of God will come down on earth. At this time all the unrighteous who at this time have been dead would arise And the devil will also be released and would attempt to fight the kingdom of God in what is called Ammagedom with their master Satan. Then finally they will be condemned to the Final death which is the second And eternal death.Note eternal death does not mean they will burn forever. I Thessalonians 4 :16, Revelation20 No sir. When I man dies, if he is a righteous man, his spirit will go to spirit Paradise which is a place is rest and happiness. But if you were unrighteous, ur spirit will go to spirit prison. This is what is called partial judgement. There the will wait for resuration |

wink2015: The 2014 National Conference report stipulates that states in Nigeria is free to establish a state police if they so wish.
But I am wondering how poor state like Jigawa, Zamfara, Yobe, Borno etc can fund a state force especially by the time the federal allocation stop coming from the federal government in Abuja.
I think our political class are dilly-dalling on restructuring. They should sit up and quickly implement in full the national conference report.
No time to waste! don't you known that necessity is the mother of invention. Let every state contcontrol their resources and check out the rate of growth this country will experience with a very short period. The truth is that some state will be richer than other but in long run Nigeria will be great, and you will see a genieu love in this country. Do you think for instance Anambara state will watch a state like borno to suffer without giving them aid. |
Politics › Re: Senate Wants N200 To Dollar Rate For Pilgrimages by nabiz(m): 8:04pm On Jul 20, 2017 |
Jengem: The Senate on Thursday urged the Federal Government to give N200 to dollar concession to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) once in every year.
It said that it was for pilgrimages to the respective holy lands for Muslims and Christians.
This was part of the recommendations by the Committee on Foreign Affairs on “The Extortion of Pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’’ presented by the Chairman, Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu, at plenary.
The committee recommended the concession to bring down the cost of the pilgrimages to bearable level.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the Senate had in a motion on June 7, urged the Federal Government to review downwards, the 2017 Hajj fare.
Part of the 10-point recommendation by the committee was that the Federal Government should hold discussions with Saudi Arabia authorities.
Sunmonu said that the consultation with the Saudi government was to review the 50-50 carriage of pilgrims between Nigeria and Saudi Arabian airlines.
“This is with a view to providing opportunities for more indigenous Nigerian airlines to participate in the Hajj operations. This will give Nigeria varieties in choosing the air carrier.
“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria should expedite action on the establishment of Hajj Savings Schemes in compliance with Section 7(1 and 2) of the NAHCON Act.
“The Nigeria Government and its economic team must do everything possible to improve on the Nigerian monetary policy which would expectedly guarantee a long-time stable relationship of the Naira with other currencies,” she said.
Sunmonu noted that 98 per cent of the entire Hajj operations were dollars-denominated with only two per cent as naira content.
In his contribution, Sen. Ali Wakil (APC-Bauchi) said that there was need for an ad hoc committee to look into the matter of feeding and transportation of the pilgrims.
He called for the restoration of Amirul Hajj to serve as checks and balance between Nigeria and Saudi.
In his remarks, the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, said “we passed the 2017-2019 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and based on it, we have passed what should be the exchange rate which is N305 to a dollar.
“We should make laws that are truly going to guide our people because we have MTEF which says the exchange is N305.
“If with passing MTEF nobody should be given N200, but businessmen are getting N200, then, definitely pilgrims deserve N200 as well,” he said.
Saraki said that the Senate must put an end to the money-making venture, because pilgrimage was a religious activity and should not be for money-making.
“We will put an end to these leakages,’’ he stated.
The Senate accepted the recommendations but rejected the one requesting NAHCON to ensure improved feeding for Nigerian contingents to all designated points, insisting that feeding should be left to the pilgrims. (NAN)
