Nigeria should enact laws to protect wildlife, what is this bikonu? It is not every meat that we should be eager to eat. Some of these animals, expecially monkeys may carry diseases easily transmissible to humans. And some of these animals are already endangered species. In late 80s and early 90s, there were these beautiful moths and butterflies I normally see, which I no longer see nowadays in my village. Caterpillars that form these moths and butterflies have turned to food for some. Travel along East West Road, Bayelsa & Delta states, you will see these maggots openly sold, including turtles. 9 Likes 1 Share |

What is it with Nigerians always wearing mask below their chin? What's the essence of mask when you pull it down to speak? Speaking releases more viral particles than breathing. What is NCDC even doing, not properly educating people? I pity what will happen to Nigeria in a few weeks. I don't have any response to those that say that there's no COVID19 in Nigeria. You're dumbest of the dumb and live in a fool's paradise 1 Like |

Health / Statistics Of COVID-19 In Medical Doctors by naijanative: 3:14am On Jun 15, 2020 |
Each time you call COVID-19 a scamdemic, you probably are not protecting yourself. You may end up being an asymptomatic carrier that transmits to more vulnerable individuals who in turn become a burden to our weak health care system. Yes, you may not have symptoms or very mild like it is malaria. But it is unfair to our vulnerable people when you pass it on to them. Be your brother's keeper, protect yourself. This is just for medical doctors, other healthcare workers not included.

You actually know know nothing. If you had taken time to read about COVID-19 apart from false information on nairaland and probably other social media platforms, you would have known that about 80% don't require hospitalization, and about a third have almost no symptoms at all. Limitlessss: |

Politics / Why Nigeria May Never Move Forward by naijanative: 4:46am On May 19, 2020 |
I woke up yesterday to unsavoury post of Ade Cooker on her Rant HQ. I am Igbo and a member of the group. I have never even posted on that group, and rarely comments. I sometimes enjoy funny posts and stories there. There are thousands of Igbos like me that on that group, including my wife. May be a few people may have cast aspirations on her, probably some of Igbo extraction (This is an assumption). I did even recognise that I am an Igbo on that group, just an ordinary person. I don't even read her personal post, she wasn't great at humour, I am not as well. Imagine me waking up seeing the post “Why are Igbos touchy, are they on their period". At this point, I fully recognise that I'm an Igbo in that group. I didn't even border reporting her, I just left. I called my wife, she told me she saw it and left as well. Imagine the damage she caused. Every right thinking person should caution her irrespective of tribe or religion. But no, some people support her because she's from their tribe or enemy of their enemy. But this does not end here. It has eaten deep into our fabric as a people. You see average Nigerian blindly supporting failed people, just because they are from their ethnic extraction. We can never progress if we continue this way. For those that think Nigeria will get better, it's more of a dream than reality because we support evil and bigotry. It's headed gradually to downhill unless we collectively change. 2 Likes |

Why this country won't be better is nepotism. A woman irrespective of her race, tribe or religion made unguarded utterances which every right thinking individual should condemn, and you see some people supporting her due to hatred they have for Igbos. Nigeria has a very long way to go. It will never develop 4 Likes |

Two weeks quarantine requirement is just to wait to see if the infected will start having symptoms. Unfortunately, many are asymptomatic, and never show signs of the disease throughout infection period. The best thing to do is to repeat the test after a few days, 3-5 days, anyone infected will test positive to PCR test, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic. This should be standard. UK's isolation time is even one week. We in Nigeria copy and do dumb things. 10 Likes 1 Share |
Health / Someone In Need Of Health Assistance. by naijanative: 6:29pm On Mar 03, 2020 |
Please, this is not for me. Someone I know is seriously sick and needs assistance at FMC, Owerri. She has fibroids and abdominal tumor (suspected malignancy, biopsy to be done after surgery). I am not asking anyone to pay money to any account. If God touches you to help, indicate below, I will post her name (with her consent) and ward #. She's very poor with no means of livelihood. You can walk in directly and help. Due to fraud, I am currently not posting any account number. You can also PM me as well. She needs at least N200k for starters. |
