Op, are referring to all displays or just mobile phone display? For TVs, it's a completely different ball game, and LG in this case uses mostly Oled (Amoled is an Oled), while Samsung and others still rely mostly on LCDs. The competition between both screen type is getting more interesting by the day.

If you're a frequent reader of tech blogs the words AMOLED and LCD will certainly not sound strange to you. One of the biggest and most important parts of any smartphone is the display. The display is something you interact with dozens of times every day. It’s your window into the apps and tools that make up a smartphone.

Displays have gotten ridiculously good over the years, but they still fall under two types. A smartphone usually comes with either of these displays. These displays are quite different, but both have advantages. AMOLED is mostly found on Samsung phones and a few other random devices. Most smartphones, including the iPhone, come with LCD displays. The big question is

What's the difference between the two?

LCD
LCD stands for “Liquid Crystal Display.” These are the most common displays used in smartphones. Your TV and laptop probably have LCD displays. LCD is literally made from liquid crystals but that means it needs dual glass panels and a backlight. LCD displays are usually not as thin as AMOLED.
The colors are not too vibrant and the contrast isn’t very high high. Despite that, the colors generally look more realistic.
A common term that usual comes with LCD smartphone displays is “IPS,” which stands for “in-plane switching.” IPS offers wider viewing angles than other types of LCD displays, which is why it’s preferred for smartphones.

AMOLED
AMOLED is an acronym that stands for “Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode.”
The displays are made from a very thin layer of polymers that light up when given electric current is passed through it. Because of its design, AMOLED panels can be very thin and they don’t need a backlight.
AMOLED displays tend to be more energy efficient.


LCD vs AMOLED
LCD displays usually look more dull compared to AMOLED because they don’t have the same level of contrast. This is actually a good thing if you want colors to look more realistic . Another thing to compare is power consumption. AMOLED displays don’t need a backlight while LCD displays do. This makes AMOLED displays more energy efficient.
AMOLED is generally better for your eyes. Unlike LCD with its blue like display. However some LCD displays come with Miravision™ to protect your eyes but it'll never be as good as the AMOLED display

Which is better?
There are different kinds of LCD as well as AMOLED displays so I can't say anyone is better. Samsung makes great devices with AMOLED , LG makes great devices with LCD. So everything depends on user preference. Which do you prefer?

It doesn't take a Geek to know that Facebook is making billions of dollars from almost everything we do on our news feed. An average Facebook user spends at least 35 minutes a day on Facebook which is equivalent to almost 5 years of your life, that's more time than you'll ever spend hanging out with friends.


Facebook is expected to reach 2 billion users this year, 2017 and coupled with that milestone, Facebook made quite a lot of money in the last 4 months of 2016 - $8.81 billion making a profit of $3.56 billion. Facebook generates an average of $1.57 per user monthly which is not bad for a user base that increases in millions every month.


The question is - Where does all the money comes from?
Advertisements.


Facebook already knows your interests and topics you may like to click so they provide extensive options to advertisers. Advertisers can target people from a specific age range, region, sex and other demographics as well.


95% of the ads you see while scrolling through your feed are from products you'll be interested in.
Facebook knows that you may occasionally click the ads so instead of increasing the cost of their ads and pushing out more news feed ads they've added it to their Facebook Audience Network. While reading instant articles on Facebook, you get to see the ads while scrolling through the post.

Another of Facebook’s revenue streams is Facebook Payments. This is where Facebook takes a cut of purchases made within games that you play on Facebook.

Facebook also has a couple of more income streams, Instagram Ads, Sales Of Oculus Rift headsets, etc.
There are still more options to expand to. Whatsapp is still available but I'm really hoping they don't ruin our Whatsapp experience with ads.
By the looks of things, this is just the beginning and Mark Zuckerberg seems to be driving his company in a direction that guarantees maximum profit.


Ads are the major source of revenue for Google and Facebook but with the increased use of ad-blockers, revenue from ads may soon take a hit and Publishers are fighting it with everything they've got.

The way bloggers with a branded blog run their blogs is quite different from the non-branded blogger.
Blogging has given me a chance to work with a couple of companies and organizations. Some opportunities didn't work out , while some were successful.


I worked with Obi Worldphones (I was contacted by a PR company, Invicta Africa) and everything went well while a deal I had with Romoss Electronics, China broke down because the distributor in Nigeria insisted that I come to Lagos but I couldn't go to Lagos simply because of a review. I felt bad but it's a stepping stone to get to where I want. I think you ought to see blogging as a way to start off your brand. You should be a voice that reader's can trust. Always be ready to accept corrections. It's okay to be a Maverick or a Dissenter once in a while, you can even play the Devil's advocate, it's fun but don't go off limits.


You may be scared that you won't get enough people to see your content but with strategic marketing, you can boost a new blog from 0 to 100 in a couple of weeks. The question is. Are you ready to invest your time and money?
You need to be ready to invest your time and money strategically. Once you have planned out what your brand is going to be about you can start off.
Here's a tip on how to build your brand while earning from affiliate marketing.


Let's say you blog about fashion products and your Google AdSense isn't really converting, take the bull by the horn. Join an affiliate program, select the best products, write a catchy headline with an attractive photo and promote the product on Facebook with your link. You'd be surprised to see how much you'd make compared to when you leave the link on your blog. Using Facebook algorithms, ads displayed are usually based on the person's interests so your ad gets displayed to people who are really interested in it.


Facebook may be a social network but it's not a non-profit organization, the users are it's products and they're offering them to you on an affordable platter. The more you spend the more people get to see your ad. You can try out the same strategy on Instagram, Twitter, Reddit and other social networks. Don't just rush into an advertising campaign. Test the advertisements with a low budget, if the turnover is okay you can increase your budget..

You could try increasing your budget and see if it makes more money but if you don't get back the money you spent, it's totally unprofitable for you.


On the long run people will inadvertently get to trust your blog and it will boost your social media following as well thus building a successful online brand for you. Also try to reach out to other brands and see if you can get to partner with them. If it works out, it's a win-win situation. You earn from the other brand and they get something from you in return as well. At the end everyone is happy. If you're turned down, don't feel dejected, there are over a thousand ways to get something done.

Did everything I could to make Puffin Pro the number one browser for me, but it just didn't work.

Browsers let us access different websites on different parts of the Internet.There are hundreds of web browsers available on Google Play but only a few will actually give you what you want. The most essential features in browsers are speed and efficiency.

Puffin Browser
Puffin is a clear example of speed and efficiency. It's the default browser on my device. The speed is definitely out of this world.

Uc Browser
Uc Browser comes second on this list and it's certainly one of the best browsers out there. Coming to download speeds, Uc is the king. It speeds up downloads quickly depending on how strong your network connection is.
In Advanced Settings, you can tweak how your page is rendered: flip your User Agent to mobile or desktop, adjust brightness levels, or enable page acceleration and rotation. You can also opt to restore closed tabs if the browser crashes. Within this menu are even more features to tweak, like changing the number of pages that cache or remembering passwords.


Dolphin Browser

Dolphin Browser has been quite successful on Android. It has a decent set of features as well. That includes theming, flash support, ad-block, incognito mode, and some tertiary features like gesture controls. There is also add-on and extension support if you need that.It covers most of the bases and that's more than enough to rank it among the best. It’s definitely one of the best Android browsers.

Opera

Opera has a number of good Android browsers and they're both pretty good. The first is the standard Opera Browser. It features a partial ad block, video compression to save data, and a dashboard where you can have news and favorites stored. You can create an Opera account and sync data between this and the desktop version. Opera Mini is a smaller, more lightweight option. It comes with a Facebook notification bar, partial ad blocking, and more. Each one has its own beta version as well.

Google Chrome

Google's own browser "Chrome" is also fast too but here's the reason why I placed it on 5th - It uses up a considerable amount of RAM. Sometimes it may freeze. Apart from that the browser is a nice browser

I've seen that CAT phone, it's ridiculously hefty. That phone should be used by those who work in construction sites and mechanics but interestingly, I saw a lady using it.

Yeah. It's quite heavy. Considering the design, its meant for construction sites. Just in case the phone falls while you're working you'll be assured of minimum damage.

Perhaps you should check your post again. Nowhere in it says anything about inbuilt storage. Also, some phones aren't even released yet.

Smartphones with massive storage space. Won't your sixth sense tell you that it's the inbuilt storage. And I clearly explained the size of the storage of each phone and the limit to which it can be expanded to with an SD card. The specification of the phones that are yet to be released have already appeared on Geekbench so what's your problem.

5. HTC U Ultra

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory expandable up to 256GB. The camera quality is superb. It sports a 16MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera (OIS) and can record 4K videos. It comes with a 3000 mAH battery.

6. Asus Zenfone AR (ZS571KL)
The Asus ZenFone AR sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32/64/128/256GB of UFS 2.0 storage (expandable with micro SD) . It'll come with a 3300 mAH battery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The rear camera packs 23MP, f/2.0, while the selfie camera is equipped with 8MP. I don't know the release date and price yet as the device is still yet to be released.

7. Gionee M6s Plus
This smartphone sports a 6-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) AMOLED display (367 ppi). The smartphone packs 16MP on the rear with dual LED flash, and an 8MP front shooter.
The M6 Plus comes with a massive battery ( 6020 mAH).The phone also runs Android Marshmallow with Amigo 3.5 on top. The Gionee M6s Plus is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 1.9GHz and it comes with 6GB of RAM and an Adreno 510 GPU. The phone comes with 64GB or 256GB of internal storage. Price - $515.


8. ZTE Axon 7s
This phone is powered by a Qualcomm (MSM8996) Snapdragon 821 processor.It comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal storage (expandableto 256GB) . The ZTE Axon 7s also sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels/534 ppi) AMOLED display. The phone runs on MiFavor UI 4.0 based on Android Nougat and comes with a dual camera setup (20MP+12MP)f/1.8 aperture, (phase-detection autofocus, dual-LED flash), and an 8MP front shooter. It comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAH battery.
