Lee correct you. USB debugging is actually bad if you don't know what you are doing.i won't advice anyone to turn on USB debugging on their device. Because it give the Android full right to Factbook into the phone. And flash any custom firmware you want

You can't uninstall bloatware from ur android without root permission.you can disable,but some times then keep popping on the screen.

I haven't seen any issue with USB debugging, it just enables you have specific administrative access to the phone from a computer and some bloat wares can be uninstalled, if you can't uninstall it you disable it

#1 Check out the Device

After buying a new smartphone, and before you turn it on, you need to check your device properly. Check what’s inside the box properly and make sure you bought a phone instead of a box of soap and make sure all the accessories are complete and working.

#2 Prepare Your Phone

Try to charge your phone properly first. You are going to use a new device for the next couple of hours, and I'm sure you don’t want your new device dying on you right in the middle of something. It's advisable to do charge the phone full before using.


#3. Clear Your Home screen

By default the home screen of your device is usually filled with some apps and widgets that are placed in their default order as provided by the manufacturer. You can simply remove them and make your homescreen look less congested or you could install a new launcher.

#4 Unwanted Bloatware

Most manufacturers pack some unwanted apps in their new products. These useless apps are just annoying and you will definitely want to remove them. You can remove these apps by just going to app settings and removing or disabling them from the available options.

#5 Setup Your Google Account

If you used an Android phone previously I don't need to emphasize much about this. Without having a Google account, you won’t be able to access Google Play store and other Google services.

#6 Secure Your Device

Most devices come with fingerprint security these days.Make sure you set up some solid security measures to protect your privacy and identity. You can put up a Fingerprint,PIN or pattern lock.

#7 USB Debugging

USB debugging is very important because it helps just in case you ever forget your pattern lock or pin lock then you can reset the password by enabling the USB debugging. You just need a computer and USB cable to reset your old pattern lock with the help of USB debugging.

#8 Photo Backup

.Create a backup with the Google account where you want to store all your data, you have up to 15 GB and you can access it anytime. To create your own data backup, just install Google+ Photos app on your device.

I don't think that's possible. However if you restore your chats and you don't want pictures from a particular chat to be showing on your gallery, go to the person's profile and select Media Visibility and turn it off.

This feature is available in the latest version of whatsapp

Both devices work quite differently, lumia backs up to one drive while Android backs up to Google drive and the encryption method used for both phones are slightly different so the Android phone may not recognize the local database file stored in the lumia's SD card

And what if you use Nigeria number WhatsApp say in North America but changing to a new android phone. You want to retain the Nigeria number WhatsApp and chat history. The Nigeria number itself is not active anymore. Complicated I guess.

Have and issue. My what'sapp database files is always to the tune of 135-240 Mb (only one of those files, and they accumulate). So I always need to delete them to have space on my phone. But what I see on other folks phones are just 2Mb or so. How can I resolve this?

Whatsapp backs up everything everyday, so it's advisable to delete the old local backups and leave the new one. Your back up folder should have 2 files. One with a date and the other without.


Those you're seeing with 2MB database files either use Google Drive's daily backup or don't have much chats.

Switching to a new phone gives you that happy and enthusiastic feeling until you remember your WhatsApp chats.

Normally there are actually two ways to reinstall WhatsApp without losing your chats -

Using a local backup
Using Google Drive

Most tech savvy people would actually use the Google drive feature because it's easier but it doesn't guarantee you will get your last chats because WhatsApp automatically backs up chats by 2.am and if your data connection isn't turned on at that time, your chat backup would not be uploaded to Google Drive only the local backup would be kept and if you don't know how to restore it properly you will lose your chats

So without further ado lets get started on how to restore your chats on a new phone using a local backup.

1. Install Xender On Both Phones Then Open Xender on both as well and connect the phones.

2.Go To File Manager > WhatsApp > Databases

3. Mark And Send The Databases Folder To The New Phone then close Xender

4.Install WhatsApp on the new phone but don't launch it yet (If you have already launched it long press the WhatsApp icon till an info logo (i) comes up then click on it or drag the icon towards it, this will vary depending on the launcher you are using. Once you do that click on the clear data option)

At this point you are done with the old device. Let's set it up on your new device

5. On the new device Go To Your File Manager > WhatsApp > Databases then delete the Databases Folder

6. Go To File Manager > Xender > Folder

7. Copy The Databases folder and go to the WhatsApp folder and paste it there

8. Launch WhatsApp and continue the installation process

9. WhatsApp will detect the backups them restore your chats for you


Note: If you have a memory card try the whole process within your memory card first. If it doesn't work for you then try with your phones inbuilt storage.
