Nigerian lady, Fatima Liman calls for justice after SARS operatives scaled their fence and shot her cousin performing ablution in Abuja.

With deep sorrowful broken heart I write dis painful story of what happened to my cousin today, today as a Nigerian citizen, I have seen the highest order of abuse of office by the SARS officers and cruelty, at about 1pm SARS officers jumped the fence and entered my aunt's house in gwarinpa abuja, and started shooting, Sadiq was performing ablution for zuhr prayers, on sighting one of the officers shooting he got scared and he thought they were armed robbers, out of fear he jumped in to their neighbour's house, one of the officers shot him on the hand, Sadiq was bleeding, he handcuffed Sadiq and one of the neighbour's son and took them in to their vehicle, mean while the remaining officers broke the doors in to the house, brought out the remaining boys and her Husband and started beating them up and took them away and after some minutes some of the officers came back to the house and packed the bullets that were on the floor in an attempt to hide evidence, after making several phone calls they were said to be taken to the SARS office at Guzape with alot of cooked up stories, on reaching there, they took us to see one of the heads of the office, he narrated the story that, the officers were chasing a kidnapper demanding a ransome and the kidnapper jumped in to my aunt's house and that they didnt shoot any body, that Sadiq got injured by a barb wire while trying to escape and that Sadiq is the kidnapper, after narrating our own side of the story the officer realised they were some hidden facts, after clear listening to his step mum, the officer asked them to release every body, I demanded they take Sadiq to the hospital and get him treated and they must foot the bills, the commander and his deputy threatened to arrest me for saying that, and he said everyone should be rearrested he is not releasing anybody, after going back and forth I insisted they give us Sadiq for treatment and seeing is a gun shot injury non of the hospital's will accept us without a police officer attached to us, I demanded one of the police officer accompanies us to the hospital, they took Sadiq in to their Hilux vehicle, drove him to National Hospital and left, the Doctors told them to wait behind and submit their statement, they refused and left us there, when the bandage on sadiq's hand was removed, it was a gun shot injury, the bullet has damaged his Radius and Ulna bone, and also damaged the whole tendons on the wrist, we are demanding justice for Sadiq and the entire Family if there is any justice remaining in Nigeria, if not we have raised our hands and prayed to Allah in this Holy month for devine intervention, but today as a Nigerian Citizen our government has failed us.

SARS officers are very cruel and in human, the officer that shot Sadiq was looking like a hoodlum, with is tattered hair style and chains hanging around his neck, if any one can help us raise the alarm untill it reaches the ears that needs to hear and Justice is given to sadiq it will be appreciated, pls help us share until it reaches the ears that need to hear... This is Sadiq's picture at the trauma Centre in National Hospital Abuja...

I remember every other day before February 22nd 2016 and I’m super happy cause God showed out for me. The chelsea that everyone referred to as Anya 4:30. A lot of people called me that Even family and each time they did it ate a tiny piece of my heart out .

wasn’t easy and nobody could even tell cause I was one of the happiest and jovial people you would ever meet but I mostly cried my self to sleep every night cause It was hard. Nobody! I mean nobody ever knew how hard it was for me. I was beginning to hate myself and question God
But as a normal human being I had my breaking point . If nothing happened at that point I was willing to take my life. While I was in 200level someone jokingly called me that and I stomped out of class and walked straight to my mums office and I broke down. I couldn’t hold it in all the anger,sadness and depression I’d been penting up for years my mother got to see it in one day. It broke her heart and she literally started crying with me. It even made me cry more. She called the driver we got to my hostel and headed straight home for a family meeting

When I got home I unpacked and I started telling my dad everything and how I was always bullied and shamed. My dad isn’t even one to show so much emotions but I could read his expression and it made me cry all over again. He was sad. He asked me what I wanted to do
And I told him that I wanted get surgery. That I’ve been reading about it and all. He asked me to go back to school and finish the semester that we we would travel in summer and know if we can find other solutions or better alternatives. Summer call me and I went with my dad

Got there and realized that surgery was my only resort. So he came back to Nigeria and I stayed back and fixed all the doctors appointments and got it done. I had to even defer my admission in uni for one year. I was even willing to do it for seven years or more. I didn’t care

The family I had abroad was so helpful especially my big sister and it wouldn’t have been possible without her. I came back better, stronger and my confidence level got so boosted eh I didn’t even realize it was that low. Guys this is my story . I’m so thankful to God for every!
The friends I had pre surgery were so supportive but nobody really knew how I felt. I couldn’t even speak up about it because I felt no one would understand. I saw a tweet about not calling someone with Down syndrome an slowpoke and It triggered me.

We should really try even tho I know it can be hard to always put ourselves in someone else’s shoes. Most people that called me those names didn’t even know the effect it had on me. It’s not easy but pls let’s try not to body shame or any kind of shaming at all

The Premier League says six players on three clubs have tested positive for the coronavirus following the first round of checks.

Tests were conducted on 748 players and club staff on Sunday and Monday.

The league has not disclosed the names of the individuals who tested positive. They must self-isolate for seven days.

Three British soldiers on Covid-19 testing duty have gotten themselves into trouble for posing naked on a Red Arrow jet next to a memorial to two dead airmen.

The Red Arrows jet is parked next to a plaque marking the deaths of Flight Lieutenants Jon Egging and Sean Cunningham, who died in separate accidents in 2011.

Colour Sergeant 'Tats' Taylor, posted X-rated pictures on Facebook of himself with Corporal Shane Woods and Private Anthony Panton posing on a Red Arrows jet after a boozy party.

The 49-year-old captioned the images: 'Think we took over RAF Scampton' and a laughing emoji.

The trio had spent ten days carrying out Covid-19 checks in the Lincolnshire community.

Senior figures are said to be furious with the pictures which were taken on Friday, at the historic home of The Dambusters after a boozy party, The Sun reports.

A source told The Sun: “The soldiers were naked except for their regimental headdress.

"It brings the army into disrepute and the battalion as well. It’s so disrespectful.
“Tats put the pictures up on Facebook but took them down after, but it was too late, everyone had seen them. They know they’re in the s***.”

It is claimed the three soldiers had been given alcohol as a token of appreciation by the local council after spending 10 days at the mobile Covid-19 testing site at the Lincolnshire base.

An Army spokesman said: “This behaviour clearly contradicts the discipline we ask personnel to display. We will deal with the matter accordingly.

A commercial vehicle driver, Gbenga Ogungbemi, and his friend, Tosin Olbamoyo, have been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for allegedly killing a businesswoman, Evelyn Ebere, and stealing her N400,000.

A statement by the state police command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Gbenga who usually takes the deceased to Ire-Ekiti where she buys palmoil, connived with his friend to kill her so they can steal her money.

While on their way to Ire-Ekiti, Gbenga stopped on the road, dispossed Ebere of her N400, 000, and killed her with the help of his friend, Tosin. The suspects then dumped Ebere's body inside the bush along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.

Oyeyemi said an investigation was launched following a report about Ebere's disappearance. The anti-kidnapping unit of the command embarked on intelligence and technical-based investigation which led to the arrest of the suspects in different locations.

“On interrogation, Gbenga informed the detectives that he is the driver of a Toyota Carina car with number plate AGD 107 GU, with which he was hired to convey the victim to Ire-Ekiti on a charter arrangement, where she intended to buy 26 kegs of palm oil.

He stated further that he was accompanied by his friend, Tosin Olobayomo, on the journey. While on the road, they both decided to dispossess the woman of the money she wanted to use to purchase the palm oil, consequent upon which they drove her into a bush along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway, where they dispossessed her of N400,000.” he said

Oyeyemi said the suspects decided to kill the victim because she knew Gbenga.

“Since the deceased knew them very well, being Gbenga’s regular customer, they decided to kill her and dump her corpse in the bush. The remains of the victim have been recovered in the bush along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway and have been deposited in the General Hospital morgue for autopsy.” the statement read

The police spokesperson added that the suspects will be arraigned in court once investigation has been concluded.
