Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwoolu becomes photographer to celebrate the birthday of his official photographer. He wrote; It was my photographer, Demola’s birthday, and to celebrate him I tried to look at him through the lens of his ever busy camera. I immersed myself in his world for a few seconds, but found that I couldn’t fit in, as that is not my area of specialization. But what I took away from that 4 seconds experience is to never trivialize any occupation. Whatever career path anyone chooses to tread, as long as they work diligently and effectively, develop themselves, take pride in what they do, and work like no one’s watching, they’ll be a master at their game. 25 teenagers (10 girls and 15 boys) have been arrested by the police for allegedly shooting pornographic videos in Kenya’s Kakamega County. The teenagers who are reportedly in Form Two and Three, are between the ages of 13 and 17. Among the arrested suspects is the alleged mastermind identified simply as Caleb. An eyewitness who is garbage collector, said he was attracted to the scene after he saw a polythene bag full of condoms. Upon closer inspection, he saw the teenagers having sex and another person recording. He said he notified the police immediately. The eyewitness said; “I was doing my garbage collecting business, which is when I noticed something strange, there were so many condoms wrapped in a poly bag and I also heard some noise from the house.OCPD of Kakamega Central David Kabena who confirmed the arrest, said; “All these are minors and we found them during the act and arrested them. A 22-year-old vulcanizer, identified as Dele Ope, has been arrested by police officers attached to the Ogun State command for allegedly stealing the pant of a client for money rituals. In a statement , the PRO, Ogun State Command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested following a complaint form a woman at Warewa Diviison of the State police command. “The woman said that she discovered that her car tyre had been deflated and wanted to go out. She invited the suspect to fix the tyre in her house. After he left, she discovered that the pant she spread on a rope within the compound, had gone missing. Since the vulcanizer was the only person who came to the compound , she went in search of him but he was nowhere to be found. She quickly reported to the police and detectives were sent to the area where the suspect was traced and arrested. A thorough search was done in his house and the woman’s pant was found. Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have stolen the pant with the intention of taking to a herbalist for money ritual,” she said. The culprit has been detained and would be charged to court. The President of Kogi Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Ibrahim Shaibu Atadoga is dead. Report had it that Atadoga, who was called to the Bar in 1986, died on Sunday after a brief illness. The Chief Information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Justice, Saheed Saqeeeb confirmed the news of his death to The Nation in a telephone conversation. “Yes it is true but I have no further details as at now,” he said. Atadoga, who had been in private practice since he was called to Bar, hailed from Omala LGA of Kogi State. He was said to be instrumental to the creation of the Customary Court of Appeal in the state. Atadoga became popular when he swore-in Capt. Idris Wada as Governor following a controversial court verdict, which gave room for two Governors as the then Speaker Abdullahi Bello was also sworn-in by the Chief Judge, Justice Nasiru Ajanah. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at Ode-Irele in Irele Local Government Area of the state. A man identified as Bebu Abiodun has been accused of brutalising his pregnant wife, Aderonke Adeymi, in Ondo State. Abiodun, 35, was said to have battered his wife out of anger following her alleged refusal to abort a three-month-old pregnancy she had for him. The incident occurred on Saturday evening at Ode-Irele in Irele Local Government Area of the state. Nairafame gathered that the incident threw the entire neighbourhood into confusion as the couple fought openly on the street. The 33-year-old mother of one was said to have been rushed to a private hospital in the town for treatment. Two younger brothers of the battered woman, Banjo and Ezekiel Adewole, confirmed the incident to reporters. They both explained that there was no week in the nearly three-year-old marriage that a fight or quarrel didn't occur. "Our sister had been complaining to us for a long time about how her husband had been maltreating her over every single issue since they got married. "We always settle issues for them because there is no perfect marriage but her sin this time around was her refusal to abort her three-month-old pregnancy which she had for Abiodun. "The husband want her to terminate the pregnancy and since she refused, he went ahead to beat her up and left injuries all over her face and body. "She told me that her husband even tried to remove the fetus himself and threathened to kill her. We don't know what had gone over him this time around," one of the brothers said. They added that the case had been reported to the police while the family had resolve to take legal action against the alleged wife-beater. Tee-Leo Ikoro, spokesperson for the police in Ondo State, could not confirm the incident when contacted. A man, who identified himself as Usman Mohammed, has been arrested and charged to court for allegedly 'insulting' President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State. Mohammed had appeared in a video that went viral on social media where he attacked President Buhari and Governor Yahaya. He also threatened to lead a team to attack the duo. He said, “I swear to God, I am Usman Mohammed. I was born in Bambam, Balanga LGA Gombe State. O Allah, destroy Buhari and Inuwa Yahaya into pieces. “If I can get one million persons like me, I will lead them to attack and deal with them. Go ahead and put it on the Internet, let them come and arrest me if they wish.” Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, Mary Malum, confirmed Mohammed’s arrest to reporters. She said he has been charged to court for insulting and intimidating President Buhari and Governor Yahaya. “The suspect has been charged to court for intentional insult and intimidation,” she said.
