Do Nigerian government offices now adhere to official prices? Aren't these usually just the paper value? |
phlio666:How so? |
firstclassmumu:Would you rather see this "nonsense" or some crap about a snake? |
Naija |
As a general rule of thumb, never sell yourself short. However, you have to walk a fine line with that. You don't want to undersell yourself and end up unsatisfied, or overvalue yourself and lose the opportunity. All the best. |
moshino:By "I don't really care," I mean if you don't know, or no one knows, it's no big deal. My primary lines of info/connection to Nigeria are Nairaland and the website for which this Nairaland account is for. Otherwise, I'd have near zero clue about anything happening over in Nigeria (which I'm trying to avoid). That said, in most of the comedy shows posted to my site, he's always present, and constantly referenced with some of the details I mentioned - by the comedians. So, no stalking required to know this. I also see random allusions to this, just as seen in your post which I responded to. Curiosity and concern are different things. e.g I might be curious why anyone would type in all bold fonts, but it doesn't mean I'm concerned by it. ![]() |
moshino:Not that I really care, but I'm curious. I read people mention e-money and reference his wealth. What exactly does he do? Other than being an exec of a record label. Which obviously is his secondary income. |
It's a lot of money, but money has a point of diminishing returns. So, the change in lifestyle from British to Chinese might not be attractive to him. Also, such deals usually signal an end of career move, which he might be in denial about. |
Naija. Over here, most of them would get registered as sex offenders. When you're registered as a sex offender, in most cases, whenever you move to a new neighborhood, you MUST go door to door and introduce yourself to your new neighbors as a sex offender. Perhaps Nigeria should implement that. Then again, most of the politicians would end up on the list, so they wouldn't support it. |
Nice! |
henrimoto:His official age is 34, so I don't think he should look any older. The other two guys are older than he is. Well, at least on paper. |
Didn't PEJ deliver an academic speech? |
Boys are not smiling. ![]() |
All hail Africa the motherland. ![]() Later on, Africans will argue that their problems are caused by "colonial masters." I bet the colonial masters forced them to loot their nations dry and cling to power for however long they can. |
I swear, she looks just like Pepe the Frog. https://cdn.smosh.com/sites/default/files/2015/04/sad-frog-meme-butt2.jpg www.nairaland.com/attachments/4520279_screenshot019_jpeg5c398830b35290850f74dac0350ba662 |
Are those guys selling phones? |
Looks like he is also practicing his modeling career. |
Dking99:Did you read the paragraph? |
The surveillance footage should lead to an arrest. |
How else would they protect their expensive Italian suits and luxury cars from the poor congregation who afforded them the luxury? |
I bet the state's Governor and Senators have newspaper allowances nearly as much as the owed salaries. The Giant of Africa! |

![]() Can someone please check the year on the calendar for me? Mine must be wrong. |
If the senators have to store their loot in Naira, they'll run out of space in their houses. |
Chigold101:That's how you had spelled it, so I guess you've invented a new word. Congrats! ![]() |
Chigold101:My "desinition" of "stressed" has little to do with "hunger," so their weight is irrelevant to that. Proper training facilities, proper camp boarding and logistics. Timely and proper pay. With these, the players carry fewer mental baggage, and ultimately perform better. Stress reveals itself in the eyes and faces of people, not necessarily in their body mass index. |
Many of them look stressed. Nigeria needs to take better care of its national athletes. All the best to them. |
I know a professor at Harvard currently conducting in-depth research on "humble bragging." It's ironic that's what this politician displayed in saying "Students life oooo in Harvard." A subtle "complaint" about student stress, but the real intent is to brag about Harvard. Other examples of humble bragging: 1. Girl: I'm so tired of people asking if I'm a model. 2. Guy: I'm so tired and sleepy right now, and the useless dealership keeps calling me to pick up my new Bentley. ![]() |
cr7lomo:It's way too early to go by current exit polling. There's still a minimum of 2 voting hours left at this time. Hillary got my vote. My state is a very blue state, so there isn't a remote chance for Trump to win here. The way I see it, Hillary will win the general election, but not by a wide margin. I'm just happy this nonsense is nearly over. This has been the most toxic election season we've had - ever. Most of us who voted Hillary aren't exactly excited about her, she just happens to be the better option. By a lot, but still. @topic As for Nigerians in Nigeria being interested. If they're interested, that isn't inherently bad, as long as it's limited to watching the news and such. However, it only gets ridiculous if they engage beyond that, e.g forming groups or campaigning on behalf of any candidate. As for Wole Soyinka, he only references his "green card." Which means he can't vote. A green card holder is a resident, and not a citizen. Only citizens can vote. I guess that's just his way of saying he can't live in a nation run by Trump. Anyway, to each his own. ![]() |
SimpleBea:Really, dude? ![]() Why would anyone say that? |
