So, let me get this straight.

Someone presumed dead after ingesting a harmful substance wakes up. Rather than rush the person to a hospital, they take her to a church? undecided

Africa, why?

CareerRe: Nigerian Lady Joins The US Army (photos) by NaLaugh: 1:50pm On Oct 01, 2016
amiskurie:
If this girl was pictured in the African forest, fighting for either rebels or government, you and your american government would call her child soldier.
I'm not following your logic. A child is a child, and an adult is an adult ( 18> ).

A 10 year old rebel soldier with a machine gun is a child soldier. An 18 year old soldier with a machine gun is just a soldier.
The term "child soldier" has nothing to do with the "opinion" of any one country. It is simply based on the age of the soldier in question.

No nation has children (<16) in its national military, except rebels and militia, so I'm not sure what your overall point is either.
CareerRe: Nigerian Lady Joins The US Army (photos) by NaLaugh:
amiskurie:
Foolish USA that will be shouting abt child soldiers in Africa are the main culprit.
Minimum recruitment age is 18 (17 with parental consent), so I'm not sure what you're referring to.
CareerRe: Nigerian Lady Joins The US Army (photos) by NaLaugh:
That's nice.

However, personally I would not consider joining the Army. They literally try to recruit people on the streets.

Years ago, I worked across from a small recruitment office, and the officers would always try to get me to join the military.
They try to convince people with promises of fully paid college tuition etc.

To be polite then, I would say "I'll think about it." But they would keep calling my phone to follow up, so I had to tell them outright that I had no interest.

I've never been interested in the military, and even worse, our veterans are one of the most neglected groups of people after service. Many homeless people you see on the streets of the US are military veterans.

PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) is commonplace, so they find it hard to re-assimilate after deployment, and end up on the streets.

I wish her the best in her service though.

Did you give them a resignation notice before leaving the first time?

If you didn't, then that's almost certainly what made you non-rehireable by the company.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 5 Reasons You Are Not To Blame For Being Jobless by NaLaugh: 10:40am On Sep 27, 2016
Pavore9:
Some derive "comfort" from blaming others and that keeps them in the holes they find themselves. Even with the present economic situation, l have evolved past blaming others but rather focused on building on what is entirely within my influence because l have made up my mind not to get hypertensive over what is happening in Nigeria.
That's the most beneficial mindset. All the best in your pursuits.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 5 Reasons You Are Not To Blame For Being Jobless by NaLaugh: 8:40am On Sep 27, 2016
Pavore9:
From my personal experience and acquired knowledge, l will blame myself if l find myself jobless in Nigeria today.
Unfortunately, people find it easier to blame everyone and everything else for their failures, without looking in the mirror.

Nairaland GeneralRe: 6 Interesting Things You Can Do When You Are Bored by NaLaugh: 5:37pm On Sep 22, 2016
If you can afford protracted periods of "boredom," then you're doing it all wrong to begin with.

Rather than use 100% of your free time engaging in trivial things, channel that energy into actual actionable plans - at least 80% of the time.
Make a business plan. Research that business plan. Execute that business plan.

If that fails, rinse and repeat.

Car TalkRe: Why Do They Put Car Batteries In The Trunk? by NaLaugh: 8:07am On Sep 06, 2016
My car's battery is in the trunk. However, there is a secondary battery terminal unit under the hood (primarily for hooking up jumper cables).
That one isn't an actual battery.
