If it's put on lock down then no one can see your posts, so what's d essencehuh
By lock down I mean having your activities and posts restricted to your "friends," or whatever applies to that specific platform.

hmmmm this advise would have been usefuk to me when i startted my career over 9 years ago so no thanks . i state again this is Not Applicabke in Nigeria. i see alot of delusional posts here and that is one of them. let me round off by saying there is the way things shoukd be and ther is the way things are, you only neglect the way things are at your own peril. reality check dude . ps i am not based in Nigeria even though i am here currently so no thanks for waated time
When you started your career is irrelevant. Try going on a verbal tirade against your employer on your publicly accessible social media today, and see how that works out for you.

If you're self-employed, then you're fine.

However, you have failed to make a coherent case for your stand.

You say it is not applicable in Nigeria, but:
The business I referenced is based IN Nigeria, the employees referenced are based IN Nigeria.

So what exactly is your argument?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Do Recruiters See Your Social Networks? by NaLaugh: 7:27am On Nov 03, 2016

Not applicable here in Nigeria
I have a business in Nigeria, and have full time employees (some from Nairaland).

Everyone gets a social media "background check" they are unaware of.

While I don't live in Nigeria, the practice is here to stay (everywhere). So it is in your best interest (even in Nigeria) to keep your social media on lock down if there's any unflattering activities or reckless statements going on in it.

Serious that man is something else
You do realize that was satire (at his own expense), right? He was reading a "joke speech."
Hillary also delivered her own jokes at the same event.

It appears Nigerians generally don't get satirical humor, along with sarcasm.

Here is the video of the Joke speech that line was gotten from. Including Hillary's jokes as well.
It was a charity event.

While I agree Trump is a dumbass, it's best to keep things in context when consuming news.

It's 9 days to election day, and honestly, I can't wait to cast my vote and get this toxic election season out the window.

Car TalkRe: 7 Steps To Buy Your Car From USA And Ship To Nigeria Without Leaving Your Bed. by NaLaugh: 7:02am On Oct 29, 2016
Buying from car auctions is generally a major gamble.

Their vehicles generally have unflattering titles and backstories. With many being pulled out from Hurricane Sandy and such.

BusinessRe: IMF Affirms Nigeria As Africa’s Biggest Economy!!! by NaLaugh: 9:08am On Oct 19, 2016
undecided

Nigeria has been Africa's largest economy for a long time.
The fact the GDP re-calculation didn't happen for many years doesn't change everyday realities of people in Nigeria.

In other words, it's an empty trophy in the grand scheme of things.

Take a look at your Senator income to GDP ratio, to get an idea where the financial drain is.

Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump And The Hypocrisy And Shallowness Of Evangelical Christianity. by NaLaugh:
For those foaming at the mouth in support of Donald, ask yourselves this.

Can you walk around a Donald Trump rally by yourself without snide remarks directed at you?

A Trump rally crowd is a glimpse into what a Trump presidency brings to the fore.
It's virtually a time travel back to the Jim Crow era, and this is the potential future you advocate?
Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump And The Hypocrisy And Shallowness Of Evangelical Christianity. by NaLaugh: 9:44am On Oct 18, 2016
This general election, my polling place is literally 4 buildings away from mine.

On Nov. 8th, I'll be rolling out of bed and landing right on the polls.

The Donald sure isn't getting my vote.
