Basseti: @ namfav
So because some NGO's decided to take up the case of Amina Lawal and some contestants pulled out of the Pageant in solidarity, justifies the barbaric that followed. R u kidding me ??
The more u make arguments to defend stuff like this, the more U paint Islam as a backward and intolerant religion. I think Islam needs better representation than what U are offering. let's use common sense here ok, there are people who are being executed in asia who are from nigeria, drug dealers, do people protest in the south? even when the ngo's like amnesty goes against it were there protest when more than 10 nigerians are killed in asia? i've never heard that, but an affair such as amina lawal will cause uproar in the south? does it make sense to you? if you use common sense than you will figure that everyone in nigeria has the right to mind their own business we don't make rules for everyone just as i believe sharia should not apply to southerners, you won't find the north protesting against any practice in the south, we are in no position to do so |

Politics › Re: Panic In Kano Over Osama's Death by namfav(m): 8:19pm On May 04, 2011 |
if miss world had no agenda with the north then they were supposed to let the north mind its own business instead of telling the north how to run its affairs, we are trying to live in a fair world no southerner in the north should be killed for nothing, no northerner in the south should be killed for nothing, some people take some events as a excuse to carry out attacks, but it is obvious that in the north there were no atacks on christians because usama was killed, not even 1 attack has been reported, i am sure that you my sister, you wish there were such attacks so that you can tell us that the north is violent and will use any means to attack southerners, that is jinxing and the media causing mass paranoia is not helping, the southerners were not told they will be attacked, the fled because they expected no less from northerners, tell me how helpful that is? Sarahluv: Miss World had no agenda with Northern Nigeria. No State in the North was to host the contestants. Anyhow, you have made my point - If any southerner anywhere expresses his view concerning an issue some Northerners are sensitive about, then all southerners must be hacked down wherever they are found for not minding their business. If America declares "a bin Laden" wanted, then all southerners must be hacked down wherever they are found for not minding their business. If a Danish man draws a cartoon, then all southerners must be hacked down wherever they are found for not minding their business. That is the thinking of the average fanatic, that is the core of the lust for blood. Still wonder why some folks read the signs and quickly found somewhere to hide themselves when they heard Bin Laden had been killed? are you saying that because of christian you would have killed indisctriminately, don't use christianity not to go ahead with your plans, it is funny how some people use christianity not to go ahead with what is in their heart, you are already a murderer Jah Man: My hands are tied.
1.Christianity is the only religion that can take me to heaven. 2.Christianity teaches me in one of the ten commandments, "Thou shall not kill" 3.Christianity preaches peace and even advises that I should not retaliate but pray for my enemies. 4.Lastly,I am not as rich as to have enough money to play around.
Else,
These nonsense in the North could have stopped far back.
Because,
I could have funded terorism against them,so they can see that I can play the game better. Not with sticks, clubs and matchetes, but with modern weapons of warfare.
So help me God! |

Basseti: Please I have two simple questions:
1) How is Miss world a "Northern problem"?
2) How did OTHER people meddle? southerners started to protest on amina lawal, a muslim woman, how is it her business whether she is prosecuted under islamic law, how does it affect the south? |
Politics › Re: Panic In Kano Over Osama's Death by namfav(m): 6:47pm On May 04, 2011 |
Sarahluv: No need for falsehood. Miss world was to be hosted by Nigeria, and some fanatics in the North started making all sorts of noise. As soon as a newspaper published an article concerning the rantings, Christians and Southerners were murdered. The North flowed with blood. Sharia law wahala - an excuse to murder by extremist fanatics. I know loads of decent Northerners - they mind their business. Fanatics on the other hand, have been programmed to look for opportunities to cause mayhem; they would murder if someone sneezes. You asked for trust by saying how can we talk of change if we can't trust. We can't trust if fanatics don't change, and that's the truth. It is not a muslim problem, it is a fanatic problem. Unfortunately, they abound up North sis sharia law does not promote murder, neither should it apply to non-muslims anyway, miss world if it had a agenda with the north then they had no business to be in nigeria, we have fanatics in the north and in the south as well, there is no difference, everyone should mind their own business, if someone is to be prosectued under islamic law it should be dealt in the north, why should southern christian groups go up in arms? they should mind their own business |

Politics › Re: Have You Ever Seen Or Heard Of A Hausa/Fulani 'hustling' Abroad? by namfav(m): 5:07pm On May 04, 2011 |
Sagamite: Rubbish!
Northerners are scarcely seen abroad because:
1) Majority cannot afford it. The North has the highest rates of poverty across the nation. This is reflective in bank's savings figures by geo-political region, educational standards, economic activity levels and standard off living. The proletariat are left completely destitute in far more magnitude than the south.
2) The North is not as into education as the South. Most people abroad go there to study and some stay behind. This end up to be Southerners as they are more educated and more into education.
3) Of the very small, minute set of Northerners that can afford it, they prefer to stay back in Nigeria as things are easier for them due to guarded competition in economic activities.
4) Those that do go abroad out of the very small, minute set of Northerners that can afford it keep to themselves and tend to mix within only their circles due to cultural and ideological differences with the south.
5) Majority of those that do go abroad out of the very small, minute set of Northerners that can afford it are kids of people with questionable source of money who live an affluent lifestyle and prefer not to mix with people that might look at them with disdain if they can avoid it. how did many southerners end up in the west ? 1. it is not because they afforded it 2. it is not because they are educated 3. it is not because they had a better choice 4. and i'm in america, i hang out with many southerners, almost every weekend 5. every questionable southerner has family outside of nigeria too, didn't i read that naeto c studies in europe and his mother is some politician now imagine if it were a northerner, see the hypocrisy |
Politics › Re: Panic In Kano Over Osama's Death by namfav(m): 4:51pm On May 04, 2011 |
Sarahluv: I've fixed the links. They work now. 10 years ago, Osama was declared wanted, and Southerners paid with their lives in Kano for something they knew nothing about. For about half of the ten years from then till now, Southerners have paid with their lives for incidents that did not concern them - Miss world wahala; Danish cartoon wahala; Sharia law wahala; and more recently Buharigate wahala, even when the said Buhari won convincingly in Kano. Don't forget that the Buhari issue happened less than a month ago. Now Osama is dead, and naturally people would not expect those that have perpetuated all this havoc in the last ten years to suddenly become reasonable and detached from the Osama thingy, so they have to resort to self-help by relocating. You honestly expect me to trust a group of people that massacred innocent corp members et al a few days ago and expect change from them? Be real, Mr. miss world was nothing but the norths problem why should other people meddle? the same for sharia law, why do people think they can interfere in other people's affairs, i don't think northerners would interfere with affairs that don't concern the north elsewhere, it's your own wahala if you don't want to trust northerners no one asked anyone for trust, but you can't honestly think that nigeria will survive as a union if there is no trust amongst the people, in the north we try to trust our northern kin but it can't materialize if the south does not trust the north based on the fact the north is muslim some people will overreact sometimes but that is not only a northern problem, you see it everywhere neither is it a muslim problem |

she gave a reference (her link), and u still attack her.
i dont blame people for running for dear life. none of your links work, and even if it were true why should you run for something which happened 10 years ago, and people expect there to be change and trust when there is still paranoia, usama was not our leader Sarahluv: ^^^^
I do not need to. If you read my post, you would notice that I said "the links below are the reasons why the Southerners have to preempt the actions of fanatics". So your question is irrelevant. |
