WilLayne: This is easy, just like most of the numerical questions. The main bottleneck, other than not using calculator, is test duration. Way too short. Yup but as long as people are passing it, nothing is going to change. |

klassd: When I saw the first 3 abstract questions, in my mind I said it is finished.lol
The numerical aspect is another bullshit. Table does not have "June" yet question was asking sth about June to August.
I called their attention and the told me to just skip to the next one.
Verbal and skills test to the rescue.
Dragnet no dey try. Lol. I saw this question and remembered this instantly. In case anyone was wondering, its not wrong. You were given average from June - August with only July-August figures and asked to find June. |

airsaylongcon: You are right. I'll allow you to explain why you chose this First row doesn’t change. 3rd row shouldn’t change in the next sequence |

airsaylongcon: One last one D. But this took even longer. I think looking at the answer can actually help identify a pattern. Thanks so much. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by NanaF: 12:04am On Jun 08, 2019 |
airsaylongcon: The abstract is really mad o. Nothing compared to what we wrote for those guys that year.
For the first one, you missed it. The number of x in the bottom box determines the number of triangles in the top.
Use this technique to solve the second. Oh wow. First one is E Ok second one is E also. Number of gray arrows = number of black objects. This one makes that look like child’s play. Thanks a lot! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by NanaF: 11:51pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
airsaylongcon: You are getting the hang of it. Enjoy these two.
Also remember that the test is timed and you have less than a minute for each (20 questions 17mins) so you need to work on speed. On exam day if you can't identify the pattern in 30 seconds, MOVE! It seemed like the simpler ones were towards the end.
There's still one more I have but answer these first Oh wow! The first one took me like 15minutes and it seems so easy once you figure it out. I think the first one is B. This abstract is mad o. Don’t have a pattern for the second one but I think it is E Are you allowed to go back on the tests? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by NanaF: 11:22pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
airsaylongcon: Chop this one.
Note that there will be things that will distract you. You have to find the the main "theme" F. Thank you! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by NanaF: 8:58pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
airsaylongcon: NanaF This is the answer here. The number of circles must equal the number of asterisk (*)
all the others are distractors Oh wow! Thanks |

airsaylongcon: NanaF! Good to see you again. I'm sure you remember what thread we "met".
Regarding the dragnet abstract, forget those "dragnet" style of questions. They aren't the style coming out. Try this instead Oh yeah I do! What are you doing here? You got in na. Wow this doesn’t even look any better. |

Mma24: Please, I am currently rounding up with my diploma in education which is entirely different from my job as a Document Controller in oil & gas, just that is a family thing to get Edu background.
My question now is can I also evaluate the diploma in education together with my BSC in Business Admin (Accounting and Finance option) considering the fact that is entirely different from my job experience. Hello, please I sent you a pm. how long did the diploma in education take and do you get any exemptions for having a first degree in education? |

3pleo: Can't really recall but I think its like this: Numerical 17mins - 20 questions Verbal 17 mins - 20 questions Abstract 17mins - 16 Questions Verbal had 4 options (though I heard engineer test in Jan was 6 options) you will have to pick two right answers. Expo: Don't insinuate and never pick an option that's not in the passage even though it sounds right Numerical was insane with big figures, some with decimal, and no calculator. Expo: Once u glance through it and its not making sense just skip to the next one. Most of the simpler ones are toward the end. Abstract was super insane. Most of the patterns and symbols don't make sense. Expo: Try not to find a logical pattern to the symbols every time (like how they rotate). Sometimes it's as simple as counting the symbols. Like the 1st might be 3, 2nd 4, 3rd 5 and so on. Caveat: use the expo at ur discretion o. Though I'm sure it will help Thanks a lot! |

3pleo: No calculator. Though the system os has calculator but we were told not to use it. P.S. Practice without calculator and I will advise you to skip any question u don't understand within 15secs cos the simpler ones are toward the end Hello, Please is this correct for each section? Numerical :20mins Verbal : 17mins Abstract: 16 mins |

Richness1104: With respect to all the elders in the house, page 1 of this thread is where you need to visit. Yes you need to write IELTS and evaluate your certificates. Only your Bsc and other certifications is ok in this case and not Hnd and Ond. There is also a PNP thread for everything you need to know about that process. His other certifications are not going to be assessed by WES. |

Presie: Pls I need help oooooh. For the two emails my friend has gotten, I get a failed FedEx email saying a package was failed to deliver to me because of incomplete address.
Is there anywhere else I can check to know if it was a failed email from NNPC? If I was shortlisted? Please how does failed fedex package delivery equals to failed email from NNPC? What’s the correlation? |

MT: Please I need a head start as I just got a grip to start this process. Please can someone respond to these questions:
1. Do I need to do WES and IELTS before starting any of the process?
2. Do I need to pay WES for each of my credential to be evaluated. For instance, I have HND Computer Science, Bsc from a University in UK , PMP and Microsoft Certifications. I am a Software Developer.
3. I am over 40 but if I want to boost my score via pronvincial nomination, what do I have to do? Do I apply to each of the provinces as the first step or after 1 and 2 stated above, I can now commence.
I hope someone will pick this up to be addressed. Thank you. If you are over 40, then provincial nomination is your only option right now. I’m assuming you’re married. You have two or more degrees. WES will evaluate your HND and BSC at the same price ($200+) , there’s no cost for additional documents at this stage. Before you spend money on WES and IELTS, spend time on the provincial nomination thread. Reading, asking questions etc, and see what province will be in demand for your NOC or if you have a family member in those provinces that allow nomination. The selection process and requirements are different for each province and may vary over time. After doing this, you can now talk about WES and IELTS. |

chrisebsy: I know what it takes to answer peoples query.
thanks , but I wish u were more elaborate,lol
I guess I will have to it like that.
merci. You know what you already want to do regardless of the answer anyone gives you. Like joo2018 said, it shouldn’t matter. If you want to change address or go ahead and request a new bank statement with the correct address, do that if it give you peace of mind. You have three good options, pick whatever gives you peace of mind |

Ameeria: Aunty biko no vex. I have another question. I've gotten to the point of education history. Should I just include those verified by WES or I should add all others even though they are neither Canadian education nor verified by WES? Thanks a ton! Enter those verified by WES which you’re claiming points for. Are you filling your profile post ITA? |

Ameeria: Thank you for this info.
I had come to realize that too as I have been filling so far. Please I need advise on this part. My noc is not part of the listed on the eligibility questionnaire, but I know it to be 1211. Please what should my answer to this question be? Thank you.
Cc all the elders. You’re asking about the ‘In the last 5 years’ question right? The question is simply asking if you’re a skilled trader i.e. if you belong to any of those NOC’s listed. You already know your NOC. The answer is simply no. |

danfad: please help, I woke to a sad message from ICES saying they cant verify Uniport degrees now. After almost 4 months of waiting. Please advice on the next step to take. Thank you.
See the message below
We have completed more research regarding the credential you have submitted for evaluation. Unfortunately ICES is unable to provide assessments for degrees completed at Port Harcourt University because ICES has insufficient and inconclusive information regarding the validity of the degrees that were issued by this institution. At a later date, should ICES receive more conclusive information regarding the validity of the degrees from Port Harcourt University, then ICES will resume evaluating degrees from the said institution. Until then, ICES will not be able to provide any assessments for degrees awarded by Port Harcourt University. In accordance with our cancellation policy outlined in the ICES Credential Evaluation Application Package, we will issue refunds for $200. Sincerely, International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES)/bh Why do they keep referring to "Port Harcourt University" though. That's not the name of your University. You can call their attention to that to see if that will change anything or head over to WES. |

Adexxplace: thanks so much. i called them and the agent said that i can't make enquiries on that number........please how did u go about yours Did you call during working hours? When you call you hear ‘Welcome to Global Affairs Canada’. Follow the prompt, you’ll end up pressing 1 three times. After the third time, it will tell you that your call is being transferred to Citizenship and Immigration. Now you’ll hear ‘welcome to IRCC’. Then you’ll hear a different set of prompts. When you hear the instructions, press1, listen again then press 3 (though I should have pressed 1-calling about status of online application-but 1 is a long thing) then I waited to speak to an agent. I called some minutes after they opened. |

Big thanks. +1 (613) 944-4000 Try and call as soon as they’re open or it might be very hard to get through to an agent. When you’re through to IRCC, don’t click the number for info on the status of your application because it will read out your online profile before giving the option to speak to an agent.
