Annim: Please I need advice so I do not misrepresent in anyway. I got ITA on 2nd October and I'm done with filling my forms and uploading all documents in my profile. I got nomination from Manitoba where I have a relative (1st cousin -spouse' cousin). My spouse's youngest sibling is in Alberta (schooled there) and has been for over 8 years but not a PR nor citizen yet. Sibling just got NOI from Alberta and has filled family details which includes spouse' details as well. Some friends have said I should not include sibling under my spouse details for family member as it will look as if we have no intention of settling in Manitoba right from the onset. I am not too comfortable doing that as it will be seen as misrepresentation. Please I need advice so I don't shoot myself on the leg. You’ve sort of answered your question already. Don’t over think it. There’s more thinking to come after submitting and awaiting PPR. |

Enddystar: Good morning house. I have been going through this thread for a while now. There are so many questions I would like to ask but start from the basics. Between ICES and WES, which is faster for ECA?
Secondly, I'm a banker and also a web developer/digital marketer managing social media ads for a private company here in Nigeria. I receive monthly pay from the company as well as from my regular job.
Questions •Is there any advantage getting reference from both firms? •If yes, will it raise eyebrows? And if No, will I have any advantage applying as an IT person as against banking?
My apologies for the numerous questions There is no advantage in what you have mentioned. It will cause questions and delays. Use only one reference letter, preferably the bank as that is your main job with enough evidence of employment. |

I am trying to take advantage of Canada Express entry by next year....
But here is the problem I'm facing while checking my crs score...
1... I have both OND and HND in Computer Science... What will I choose under education qualification level?
2... I know HND is not equal to BSc... In case I need to do any other certificate which certificate will you advice me to take in either IT or Graphics Design...
3... and how can I accredit my skill certificate... I have certificate on graphics.. Your HND is equal to more than Bsc in this process. It is equal to two or more certificates. You’re good to go. |

Thanks Yes, with good scores and other conditions known to the province (e.g occupation.) You select the provinces you would want to live in when setting up your profile |

ladymarshall: Nice. But I wish you had not resubmitted the mutual funds letter again. There must have been a clause that might have made the VO question how easy it is to access your funds. There was a case here not too long ago with a gtb clause and the mistake was resubmitting the gtb letter again upon ADR request instead of liquidating the cash outright. Hopefully your bank account statements for raw cash would convince the VO. Let's stay positive. See a sample of my money market mutual funds letter. Its quite clear and says the funds can be liquidated at anytime.

Gifty28: Good Morning guys pls i used the crs score just to calculate my score, haven't written ielt yet, just estimated scores where used and i got 441. bsc, 3yrs work exp and 28yrs. quick question can an IELTS score of 8 all through increase the score or what ielt score can increase the crs score. thanks and pls your responses are needed. With what you have chosen to get 441, you have used the highest bands in each category. Meaning, 441 is the highest you can get if you are under 30, single, sufficient work experience and Bsc only. Write ielts, evaluate your degree and get in the pool (you can be nominated by a province), all these while considering other avenues to increase your score. |

TYPOP: Hi all. Please I need assistance.
I don't know what to do and may have to decline my ITA for the 4th time. I have declined it 3 times now and I have just received another one.
My issue is that my wife applied to SA embassy in Lagos for SA visa. Till date, her passport is still with them. This means she is unable to go for medicals (from what I have read on this thread, passport is required). This has been the major reason for my declining each time.
Is there anything I can do please? Thank you. I assume your score is high enough since you keep getting ITA so no need to fret. If you must go ahead without her passport, I actually did my medicals without mine. I gave them a photocopy but they noted on my report that they could not confirm my identity. I included details of the incident in my LOE and have long passed my medicals. |

NwaAmaikpe:

Your husband is such a polite gentleman. His kind is rare and he thinks so much about how you'd feel and that's why he won't tell you truth. That is so wrong of him but Hanty, NwaAmaikpe is here to serve you that long hidden truth.
You are a pathetic cook and he is being too civil to say it. Dude cares so much about it not coming off the wrong way so he'd communicate indirectly and expect an intelligent you to get the subliminal message.
Sadly you don't.
Your colleagues only tolerate your meal because it is free. I don't think they'd eat past a spoon if they were paying for it. You also don't expect them to criticize it because very few are like us.
I once had a colleague back then who always brought food for me. One day I decided to give it a try. I tasted the beans and it was like raw carbide mixed with Cameroon pepper. Anyways, I was courteous enough to tell her to send an assassin instead of trying to kill me with food.
Ewa should be the easiest thing for you to cook....so if he keeps requesting for Iya Basira's ewa, it is so that it can help neutralize the effect of the remaining of your edible poison in the rice and stew.
Please be a virtuous woman. Be a wife, And be a mother to that poor man. It's not fair that you have to send him to Sokoto to get what is in his shokoto. It's also not fair that you waste his resources to build office relationships.
It is from clapping that the best dances emanate. Today, you feel obliged to feed your colleagues. They now eat daily from your cooler. I hope very soon they won't be eating out of your honeypot as well?
"It is from help me hold my gown, help me hold my gown that Azuka found out the colour of his landlady's pant".
I can’t believe people are actually liking the rubbish you just spewed. The average Nigerian on Nairaland is insanely misogynistic and very insensitive with zero tact. Read what you wrote and what she posted, what’s the correlation? So tactless. Gosh! |

Subalinga: so the issue is, i got exemptions for that too, i only wrote one paper to qualify. so i don't know if WES will evaluate it positively. I guess it’s same as people who got exemptions and only wrote professional level of ACCA, they had no issues with WES evaluation. It should not matter that you only wrote one paper, they are evaluating your certification. I think you should go ahead with it |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by NanaF: 4:06pm On Aug 13, 2019 |
Subalinga: so the thing is i have not completed ACCA, i still have one more level to go-4 papers. But i know people that have evaluated the first 2levels-9papers and got 3 years equivalent from WES. but in my case, WES change am for me. i dont know y they didnt evaluate it, something they have been doing in the past. Oh I see. I evaluated my ACCA Advanced diploma and got 3 years equivalent. Problem is you can’t get ACCA advanced diploma since you have all those exemptions. I’ll say your best bet is to use your CIMA since you have that already |

Subalinga: I was going to evaluate ACCA alongside, i got the exemption for 9 papers and people have gotten 3 yrs equivalent for that. But in my case, WES just did not even evaluate it. i am so sad right now. Wait if you have ACCA, you don’t have any problem na. I’m confused. ICAN is not accepted, it’s been discussed here serval times. If you have ACCA (no matter the exemptions gotten), evaluate that instead |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by NanaF: 3:42pm On Aug 13, 2019 |
Subalinga: I just got my evaluation from WES and ICAN wasn't favorable. Please has anyone evaluated CIMA, please share your experience. Note that i got exemptions in cima, i only wrote one paper. will this affect the outcome if i try to evaluate it. CIMA should work. There are people with exemptions from ACCA, wrote only 5 papers and evaluation with WES was ok. But why did you bother though? ICAN evaluation has been discussed here several times. Do you have ATS? You can use that if you have. |

PLSHELEP: My very good people. Thanks for all the info so far.
Please I need advise on the following options for POF:
1. Mutual funds (any advantage?) 2. Dollar Dom account (because naira is unreliable) 3. Normal saving account: (risk of naira devaluation)
I saw someone talk about Renmoney reference letter. 1. Mutual funds - ease of withdrawal (sometimes same day withdrawal) and interest gain. Currently about 12% for money market funds. Stanbic and Investment one have money market mutual funds. I’m sure there are others. 2. Dollar Dom a/c - Naira has been stable against the dollar due to CBN’s policies and intervention. Not a good idea if you plan on converting some back to Naira, also no interest on this. 3. Not even an option |

Timi was never in COZA.

Some things have changed from when this person wrote this: like medical is now more expensive, cut off score is higher etc. To put your simulated score in perspective, last draw was 465 and people are hopeful that it drops further. You can google the trends of the draws this year. Read the link then come and ask specific questions. |
