GBSS: Hello, Please which of the VFS office did you submit, Abuja or Lagos. We need that info here, because it looks like only Abuja honours that clause on their website from COPR stories here.
Many thanks I used Lagos |

Thanks for sharing. This is true, I forgot my biometrics slip (don’t even know where it is) and I was told that if I have it, I won’t have to pay the N8,200 |

Saintee2009: please I'm begging anybody who can swap or help with this ordeal.. Edakun Those people are the front desk in Qlife are witches (Remi i hope you read this) who are extremely unsympathetic and offer no help whatsoever. I was almost in tears and this people were so unhelpful and didn’t even offer to refer me to someone superior who could help. All they know is ‘there’s nothing I can do.’ Go there and ask to see the doctor in charge, if you stay there long enough he might come out to ask what the issue is. I can’t remember his name, he helped some people and he’s sympathetic and will try to make room for you based on the expiry date, especially since you’ve already paid |

Mamaroon: All the best ma'am.
@All, a general note of warning on Mutual Funds. They are equity based and even though the Fund Manager or Asset Manager may indicate that you can easily liquidate your investment, the truth is that the amount you receive on liquidation may differ (and be lower) from your original investment if asset/share prices have dropped significantly.
This is not the case with treasury bills (which one holds to maturity) or a deposit for which a bank may charge some small nominal fee for early liquidation on (if at all). This may be why some VOs have issues with Mutual Funds. I know people will say "but it has worked for lagbaja"...but...a word is enough for the wise....apart from deposits and treasury bills, CASH is king! Money market mutual funds is not equity based. That’s what we use when we refer to Mutual Funds here. No risk of capital loss. It’s 100% money market- treasury bills and other money market securities. Nobody here will put their POF in an equity based mutual fund. Maybe Stanbic needs to be more specific on their reference letter about the nature of the mutual funds. |

ans123: Hi NanaF
Sorry to hear this but did the letters state that the funds are accessible at any time and free of any liens, debts, encumbrances ? It’s the standard format for both letters. Mutual funds letter states that the funds can be fully or partially liquidated at any time, Pension fund letter has the normal clause of 25% available 4 months after resignation. |

Dare002: Liquidate your POF immediately, print your bank statement, and send CSE. Otherwise, it’s straight rejection. I’ve already submitted updated POF. I considered that before I got GCMS today, I received an ADR last week for updated POF and I thought it would be more complicated to change POF since they are asking for an update. Submitted that and got re-medicals almost immediately. |

Finally received my GCMS. Officer said I did not provide proof of funds so ‘review required’ for eligibility. Also commented that I provided $0 out of the required proof of funds.
Used my stanbic mutual funds letter/statement and pension letter/statement, included explanation on POF in LOE, even included a table breaking everything down alongside the exchange rate.
This thing is very unpredictable because you don’t know the officer that will be in charge of your file. |

Jbelieve: If you where given a remedicals letter from IRCC just walk into IOM explain to them at the reception that you've done it before but you've been requested to do it again and it urgently. Pled with them, that you understand that you normally would book an appointment but yours is urgent and you have a short deadline and be respectful.
They should be able to schedule you for the next day. Same happened to me. I just walk there and explained to them.they told me next Monday, had to beg that the date is too far and its urgent. You can add pity face to. Did mine the next day. Please was this in the era of booking online that this happened? Trying to see what the odds are of this working for me. |

Adunnee: No. I used Axa Mansard letter + Money Market fund statement, Pension Fund letter + Pension fund statement.
I'll send a PM if I find any useful info on the new MPs. So I got an ADR for updated POF today, after 10 months of waiting. I considered liquidating the Mutual Funds into my savings account and doing a gift deed for the balance instead of using my pension fund for the balance, as I did before However, since they are asking for an updated POF, it should mean they have accepted my method of POF? I have just 7 days to respond. |

CHILZ: Please help me with the calculation I dont know what I did wrong, I just calculated mine with 8777 ielts 3 years work experience Single 27years old Bsc,though I have a diploma cert
yet I got 407 as my CRS score Add your diploma certificate to get two or more degrees. With what you have up there, your score is at 429. When simulating the ielts scores, 8 is for listening. With the recent trend, you’ll need that additional certificate. |

Amahjosh: I am a single 29+years old Man, a BSc holder with a certification in my field Computer Networking CCNA with over 3 years working experience, and I do not have a Masters degree but will be taking the BCS diploma in IT and am yet to write my IELTS exam and I have been. I calculated my CRS score even with the BCS diploma and my score was 437. Below are my questions..
1. What are the things I must do for my points to be high? Because truth be told, If I decide to go for Masters now, I would be 32+ when am through, which means my points will automatically drop because of my age. What are you simulating for ielts? With BCS it’s not possible for your score to be 437. If you max out ielts, It should be above 470 which should land you an ITA when you enter the pool. |

Your response will be highly appreciated. The application and rprf is processing fee for PR. If you’re spouse is not applying with you, you’ll only pay for yourself. |
