Education / Re: Why Parents Should Stop Enrolling Their Child To School Too Early. by Nanaiky(f): 4:28pm On Apr 02, 2022 |
Why all this big grammar? There is a difference between day care/crèche and actual school. As a working mom, I will take my young kids to Day care/crèche/(Nursery/kinder in Nigeria inclusive) before actual school starts at 5/6 which is similar to primary 1 in Nigeria or Kindergarten class in US. There are preschools (ages 3-5) in US. Infant and toddler class also exists. It depends on what your money can afford you. 2 Likes |

Life is easy….Do whatever you like so far you don’t constitute nuisance to yourself (‘cos society still caters for people on self destruct) or to the society at large. Pray for 365 days if you like! 1 Like |

Islam for Muslims / Re: “freedom” Of Women Or “freedom” To Men To Enjoy Them? by Nanaiky(f): 12:34pm On Aug 27, 2021 |
Articles like this have underlying tone that women don’t have sense and can’t decide for themselves. Someone needs to always direct them.. smh! 3 Likes 1 Share |

All the vices mentioned if women are not ‘protected’ are perpetuated by men and also men are supposed to do the so called ‘protection’. Shouldn’t that tell you something that the main focus should be on the ‘supposed protector’. In both sceneries, the male folks need training to respect and not to oppress the female folks. Eku ise , Muslim ummah, keep regurgitating articles and not look inwards. 1 Like |
Romance / Re: A Broke Guy Is Disturbing My Sister's Happiness by Nanaiky(f): 11:46pm On May 05, 2021 |
You guys should be careful with your advice here oh. This kinda happened to someone I know. Long story short..Lady is back at home with 2 kids after 3.5 yrs of marriage and still trying to find her feet. Guy did not improve his financial standing and with child rearing the lady’s finance plummeted. It’s about the guys attitude when he had and if he is currently making effort to secure something but he should not marry while he has nothing. Disaster looming! 5 Likes 1 Share |
Romance / Re: My Wife Is Emasculating Me by Nanaiky(f): 1:25pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
Life and issues. The story is one sided and the audience can't judge based on that but I will give my 2 cents. Do you help around the house? Men find this hard to do even when they are the core providers. In homes where spouses contributes equally financially, men still feel the burden of child care and domestic chores rest on the women. Empathy and respect will make marriages thrive regardless of gender, esp if a partner goes from grace to grass suddenly. Empathy and mutual respect for all. 5 Likes |
Family / Re: My Wife Is Not What I Thought Before We Got Married: I Want To Divorce by Nanaiky(f): 6:16am On Jan 04, 2017 |
@ OP can I ask what attracted you to her in the first place and how did you guys meet. I am sorry to say this, the signs (illiteracy and non-nonchalant attitude about life goals) were there before you get married. these are always not hidden. It goes back to my beloved saying that guys keep marrying the ladies/women they don't want their daughters to become. Don't divorce her, you are her meal ticket and she's committed to you. Just 'deal' cope with it. 1 Like |

thatsincerechic, the problems you encountered during your undergrad days would not have been compounded if you had come out open to a religious sect. And this advice goes out to everyone, attach yourself to a religious group on campus, both muslims and Christians. They would help. So many students have survived through religious organizations. Even buoyant students contribute. They sometimes have outside sponsors for indigent students. 3 Likes |

@ phatlon and giantparrot, u guyz shd try imperial college london, most graduate programmes (sciences and engineering) are taught pg, and u do not need to get a course adviser or write IELTS/TOEFL, WAEC ENGLISH A1-C4 is sufficient. for enquiries: mail: admissions.enquiries@imperial.ac.uk (please state your course as offered by the institution). If u intend crossing to the US, MSC does not really count, will be given the same admission as a Bsc for Phd except that you have more experience in academics to backup ur application (still the same no of yrs), apned to a senior colleague...it all depends on u,UK; after masters, apply for phd,..US; apply to the phd prog directly,...ALL D BEST |
