‘fetish’ Pastors Arrested For Defrauding And Sexually Abusing Members.

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested two clerics for allegedly defrauding and sexually abusing innocent worshipers in their respective churches. The suspects – Dada Babaroti and Clement Olatunde Fabeku – were arrested by officials of the Ondo State.

They were alleged to be extorting the unsuspecting worshipers by using diabolical and fetish means. Fabeku operates the Truth and Life Bible Church located in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, while Babaroti is the General Overseer of the Blood of Jesus Christ, in Idanre area of Ondo State.

The state NSCDC Commandant, Pedro Awili Idebo, who confirmed the arrest of the clerics yesterday, said the two pastors had been extorting the worshipers by using diabolical and fetish means. Idebo explained that the two men were arrested after some church members reported their criminal activities to the NSCDC and were later arrested in a sting operation.

The commandant added that some fetish items used in swindling the victims were recovered from the suspects. According to him, the criminal activities of the culprits forced some church members to report them to the NSCDC office in Akure.

He said: “They also obtained various sums of money running into millions of naira from members of their congregations under the false pretences. “Section 3 (1) G expressly empowers the Corps to monitor the activities of religious bodies and trade associations.

“We use this opportunity to warn the fake clergymen and women to urgently relocate from the state or face the law of the land.”

Idebo, however, said that the command had begun a clampdown on fraudsters in the state and would team up with other sister agencies to rid the state of criminals.

COMMENT : I quoted these few biblical verses from the sayings of the Holy Man of God whom the Christians called their God. It always beats my imagination whenever I hear the Christians calling Jesus Christ God . This was the very Man the bible called the Prophet of God in Luke 24 v 19, Luke 7 v16, Luke 13 v 33, Matthew 21 v 46, Matthew 21 v 10-11, John 9 v 17, and Mark 6 v 4. This was the very Jesus the bible says he ate and drank in Matthew 11 v 19, Luke 24 v 41-43, John 19 v 28. This was the very Jesus the bible says he slept in Matthew 8 v 24, This was the very Man the bible says he worshipped God, prayed to him and even cried seeking his assistance in Matthew 26 v 39, Hebrews 5 v 7. Finally, this was the very Man the Christians generally believe that he was helplessly killed by the Jews and Roman Soldiers in Israel,. How then can such a being be the Almighty God that created the universe ? It is not only untenable to call Jesus God but also a theological madness to even think that Jesus is God. Such kind of belief in the Godship of a Man is not acceptable in this age of reason and civilisation. The Christians should have an independent study of their bible and revolt against their Pastors and Bishops who blatantly misguide and confuse them to worship a Man (Jésus) that was born by a Woman (Mary) , who depended on the factors of growth and reproduction. This was the very Man that the Bible says in Luke 2 v 21 that he was circumcised in his foreskin (génital) when he was eight days old. Can a sensible and civilized human being call Jesus Christ God ? No !. The Muslims, of course, believe in Jesus and his message, but no Muslim can ever make the mistake of calling Jesus God. That is the beauty of Islam.

Only when a northerner is in power in Nigeria that is when you hear mundane things like "northernization" and "Islamization"

Obasanjo, a Christian, was in power for 8 years and we didn't hear northerners cry "yorubanization", "christainization" or "southernization".

Jonathan, another Christian, was in power for 6 years and we didn't hear "ijawnization", "christianization" or "southernization"

It beats me that even some highly educated and enlightened people from the south mouth this kind of hubris.

How can somebody come from Sokoto to Illah to northernize or islamize me? How is that going to happen?

Even Christianity which has been trying since 19 kilidim to impose itself on us all has not fully succeeded. Village deities still exist everywhere. Native doctors, oracles and priest are still receiving heavy patronage, sometimes from even Christians themselves.

Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN) is crying foul over some Islamic bank giving out loans, but it has not checked to ascertain the beneficiaries of the loans, for what purpose and the conditions attached. Most of the beneficiaries are of course business owners who are Christians from the south east.

Many businesses in Nigeria today are owned by Muslims. They employ Christians. Likewise, businesses owned by Christians also employ Muslims. Why hasn't CAN asked Christians not to accept appointment from companies owned by Muslims?

Recently, there was a Christian-Christian massacre at Ozubulu - right in a church, during a church service for that matter - but of course it did not qualify for a statement from CAN. In just one pronouncement Nnamdi Kanu turned IPOB members who were mostly Christians to Jews and we didn't hear a word from CAN.

CAN is gradually turning itself into a nuisance with its hate posturing.

Jesus is a Servant of God

The book of the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible is an important piece of evidence on the present subject.  This book details the activity of the disciples over a period of thirty years after Jesus was raised up.  It is important to see what the disciples were saying about Jesus, and what titles they used in referring to him.

It will be quickly obvious that they often referred to him as a servant of God, but never Son of God.  Peter, for example, said:

   “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus” (Acts 3:13).

Peter further said:

   “God raised up his servant” (Acts 3:26), where the title servant refers to Jesus.

Not only Peter, but the entire group of believers viewed Jesus as God’s servant.  When they raised their voices together in prayer to God, in the course of their speaking to God they called Jesus “your holy servant Jesus whom you anointed” (Acts 4:27).  They repeated this title also in verse 30.  Consistently, Jesus was being called servant of God by the original followers of Jesus.

Some people mistakenly thought that the disciples called Jesus Son of God.  An inconsistency of translation actually helped to give this wrong impression.  In the King James Bible, the translators call Jesus ‘Son of God’ in Acts 3:13, 26, and ‘child of God’ in Acts 4:27.  They simply translated the Greek word paida as ‘son’ or ‘child’.  But the word paida also means ‘servant’, and the present context demands this translation since the author of Acts is trying in this passage to establish that Jesus is indeed the servant of God.

The translators knew that the Greek word paida means servant.  When the same word was used for David in chapter 4, verse 25, they translated it ‘servant’.  Why not call Jesus also by the same title?  Or, if they feel that ‘son’ is the correct translation, why not also call David ‘Son of God’?  Jesus and David are both called by the same title in Greek.  Why not call them by a same title in English also?

Other translators recognised this inconsistency and corrected it in the modern translations of the Bible.  Therefore the New International Version of the Bible and many others call Jesus Servant of God in the verses already quoted above.  Nevertheless, the fact that Jesus was God’s servant was so well known that even the King James Bible called him by this title in Matthew 12:18.  Referring back to Isaiah 42:1, Matthew identified Jesus as the servant of the [quote author=alBHAGDADI post=60770484]https://www.nairaland.com/4064473/what-muslims-belief-concerning-jesus

I came across the above thread on Front Page stating what Muslims believe about my Lord Jesus Christ. It was put on front page on a Friday, a day pro-islamic threads make front page. What bothers me is that the thread spoke things about my Father and Saviour which are contrary to what I know of him. The sad part is that I couldn't correct those things cos Islamic threads are locked away from non-muslims who can only comment if they swear an Islamic creed. That is why I decided to create this thread to put to correction all those things said about my Father, just as a son would. There are lots of good Christians in Nigeria and we interact very well but why must the petty ones always lead them?

They are a belligerent lot, warlike and aggressive. Have they ever seen Muslims opposing a benefit going to Christians? We did not protest when you started going to Jerusalem even though we know that it is not mandatory for Christians.

You enjoy Western banking system, Western education, common law, etc without any protest from us. Why is it that CAN always cries foul each time we seek parity?

This was how CAN deceived Nigerians in 1999 when it said Shariah was unconstitutional and MURIC challenged it to go to court.

They went to court of course but they beat a quick retreat. They withdrew the case when they found out the truth. But why heat up the polity all the time when you have the means of finding out the true status of Islam? CAN likes making noise.

These are verifiable facts if CAN would eschew its armchair leadership style. Even Google alone is enough but CAN leadership will not search. They are just interested in rabble-rousing and cantankerous razz-mataz. CAN should seek education. The Bible says “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). CAN should stop misleading Nigerians and inciting Christians against their Muslim neighbours.

We advise Christians to take their destiny in their own hands instead of allowing warlike leaders to lead them into unnecessary confrontation with Muslims every time. We invite CAN leaders to eschew bitterness. We should be partners in lending the voice of reason to the national debate instead of constituting clerical nuisance to the Nigerian nation.

I advise CAN leadership to desist from giving religion a bad name. The word ‘religion’ is from the Latin word ‘religio’ meaning ‘to link’, ‘to tie’ or ‘to bind’. Therefore religion is about linking people together in love and sharing.

It is not about dividing them. Religion is about love, forgiveness, tolerance, giving and taking.

Let us be good examples for the young generation. Our constant bickering has led to too many religious crises. It has pushed our followers to the precipice of war and instigated them against one another.

Why must we live together like two envious wives of the same husband when we should see ourselves as two sons of the same father? This is the etymological essence of religion.

This is just the bitter truth. I was in the oil city of Port Harcourt. I have seen deeply into the oil sector, what is solely keeping all of us here in Port Harcourt is oil. Take away oil and Nigeria economy will collapse. Nigerians are lacking in creativity thinking.

They lack peace of mind whenever they see other people/group other than what they affiliate progressing. Sheikh Abubakar Gumi Guest House, Abuja is there, standing firm and strong. It shall operate well and continue disturbing the sleeps of others, though not aimed at that. I see pure envy when the news is out that Izala has built a hotel for their guest and other guest that can pay and abide by the Islamic rules on accommodation.

Most of them are not happy that Izala is now running HD in accordance with 2017, while their affiliates are still in their 80's. Some of them are not happy that for the first time, something good is coming out of an Islamic organization they hate, but unfortunately, neither their words nor their deficient hatred can stop the progress.

Call it a hotel or whatever, everyone must show his marriage certificate before he lodge in with any woman, she must be certified his wife or biological daughter. It will save the cost of accommodating the Izala leaders and scholars whenever they are in Abuja for meeting or any program, and as well, generate income for running the organization and supporting other activities.

Part of their argument is that, we have millions of IDPs and vulnerables in need of assistance and the hotel is a misplaced priority. But my confusion is, I can't remember when any of the organizations other than JIBWIS ever assisted the IDPs, orphans, widows, poor and less priviledged. Not long ago, JIBWIS assisted more than 10,000 handicaps with upper and lower limbs in Abuja. The handicaps were drawn from across all states in Nigeria, irrespective of their sectional affiliations.

It is now a norm for Izala to seek and assist thousands of orphans with foods and clothes every year for sallah. The IDPs were not left, they have been supported severally by the JIBWIS organization. Please, if you know any of the organizations these fools are working for that ever assisted any poor or orphan with anything let us know!

They call Izala a political organization for frequently supporting any political move in accordance with the aspirations of its followers and defending their interest. Also, for praying for the leaders. The first thing Izala does wherever they establish a structure is building school, then comes other projects.

To add trauma to their headache, it is pertinent to inform them that JIBWIS is not in possession of only first-class hotel, but also a TV and radio channels on satellite, a university under construction, HD onsite transmission equipment, hundreds of PhD holders scholars, licence to preach in Saudi Arabia, strong structures in all states, thousands of vehicles, farms, thousands of schools and training centres and a certification of peace and loyalty to political leaders and constituted authorities for prosperity of Nigeria and Africa at large.

On a recent visit to a *Cemetery*, I noticed a signpost at the entrance.
It read *"We were like you".*This got me thinking.
