REMEMBER YOUR PARENTS NOW! While buying new clothes for your wife and children, do not forget the one that bought you same when you were a kid (if he is alive or rather pray for him if he has passed away). Equally, do remember that woman that dressed you in the morning of Eid day, she always wore smiles on her face while doing the job. She always makes sure that you look nice in your dress on that Eid day. Please buy her something for the Eid if she is alive or pray for her if she has returned to her Lord. May Allah forgive our parents and shower His mercy on them. |

MISS WORLD OR MISS HEREAFTER? We are like travellers in this world who sit under a tree to seek shade for a while. This world is nothing but an illusion to get you distracted, lost and gets carried away about the next life. You forget the Day of reckoning and ignore all the beckoning. You leave your Salah (prayers) and when asked about it you say later on and give silly excuses that both you and the devil knows are not true. You keep ignoring the One Who created you and only remember Him when you are in need, pain and trial or even thinking that you will obey Him when you get old. SubhanalLah! Beware of the Day when it will be too late to amend and don’t be among the Munafiqun (hypocrites) who deceived himself that Allah is not aware of what you conceal, for Allah knows all that the heart conceal. Allah (SWT) says: “And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time comes. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do” (Quran 63:11) We heard how Prophets and Messengers were sent to nations before us by Allah to give glad tidings to the righteous and warning to the rebellious. So many nations were punished right from this world before even their death for their disobedience. As believers why then do we ignore those signs? v Imaging a sister wearing tight trousers, short top rolls and a veil over her face then walks around in public and calls herself a hijabi. v Imaging she walks around half naked in public as a sane and when asked about it she says “Faith is in the heart”. No… my sister faith is in practice also. It’s scaring how some of the believers don’t hesitate to sin and deceive themselves that Allah is Most Merciful forgetting that is also severe in His punishment. Allah says: “The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Knower. The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment….” (Quran 40:2&3) It’s scary when you see a sister in full hijab and in the next hour she is committing evil with the hijab that represent modesty, decency, humbleness, humility and righteousness. Another scaring issue of concern is LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) which is among the major sins that caused the whole nation to be destroyed before us for such devilish act when they disobeyed Prophet Lut (AS) who was sent to them by Allah as a warner against it. Concerning this Allah says: “Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lut (Lot), them We saved in the last hour of the night” (Quran 54:34) Those that read the Scriptures are aware of it but choose to follow the sinful path. The bad friend tells you that it’s okay and that you are created like that, then you go ahead and believe them. Allah says: “And (remember) Lut (Lot), when he said to his people: ‘Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alameen (mankind and jinn)? (Quran 7:80) Undoubtedly falling into such sin and transgressing the sacred limits of Allah are among the causes of the punishments that befall people. Punishment comes by the will of Allah because of sin and affects a person in his religious commitment or in his spiritual or physical well-being. These punishments may come even in this world, in the grave and in the Hereafter. In conclusion, the effects of sin are many more than a person can grasp and the effects of obedience are many more than a person can comprehend. The best of this world and the Hereafter are to be found in obeying Allah and the worst of this world and the Hereafter are all to be found in disobeying Allah. I WANT TO JOIN CHRISTIANITY. My confession... 5 years ago while at high school, many pastors convinced me to start worshiping Jesus. Told me Jesus is God. I was happy and asked them please offer me a bible. They happily gave me. I Settled my mind so that I must start worshiping Jesus our GOD. On the first day of opening the bible I read. Mathew book 2:13! and it says ...then the angel of GOD appeared to Mary and Joseph and commanded them to flee with the Child to Egypt. Before my mind settled in believing that Jesus is God I was unsettled With that on my first attempt. ##so which God commanded to flee with child jesus ![]() Am confused but I bear patience. So which one must I worship now.?? I found Mathew 4:10 Jesus says scripture says u must worship Lord your God serve only him. .then I was satisfied my heart settled that I must worship only God. But which God is that that deserve to be worshiped ?I found John 4:23 The time is coming is already here when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in truth. I realized that true worshiping is only to the Father not Jesus who by then was still son of God. Now my question forwarded to Jesus. Are u that father ![]() He shown me Mathew 23:9 stop don't call anyone here on earth a father because there is only one father in heaven. Father is greater that I.john 14:28 and (U have not seen him John 5:37) (This time jesus too was on earth that indicates he was not that Father). ###my argument continued .... Hey Jesus but why do u call God as your Father u are confusing me.. ##Jesus replied because u are gentile but in our Jewish custom father is God because God used to call us as his sons. So in opposite we call him Father. But fact God is father of everybody John 20:17. My God and Your God.my father and your Father. At this time I realized that what pastors taught me were malicious lies and fabrication man-made teachings. Jesus continued and when u pray say Our Father in heaven. Complementing that God is Father of everybody. In disbelieve I asked Jesus using the bible. Is this GOD also Your God? Do u share with us ![]() He replied.... Listen God our Lord is only one God. Mark 12:29 There is no other than him. Mark 12:32 Hey guys I was amused i did not believe according to what pastors told me. I asked so whom do we worship now.? He took me back Mathew 4:10 worship only God. Now I was getting my senses Do u jesus also worship... ![]() He relied Mathew 26:38 ..Jesus said let us go to worship and he spent whole night worshiping.. Luke 6:12 Why u Jesus do u do miracles are u God?? He said didn't u understood all what I said above. ![]() I said I do"''' but answer me please. He shown me John 10:25 ...I do miracles in the name of father God. Because John 5:30 I myself I can do nothing. I run fast to desciples to confirm that. They said read Acts 2:22. Jesus a man anointed by God After that I believed. So Jesus do u have authority He said yes! Only if given by God. As others were also given. But all authority belongs to God. Mathew 20:23. After that I asked people who exactly walked and knew JESUS. Who is Jesus ?? They said a Prophet of GOD ...mathew 21:11◄ Luke 24:19 ► New International Version "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people In my my journey to jesus led me to Islam. Quran 19..Jesus said.God is my Lord and your your God. Worship him only that is the straight path. Qur'an 36:7 indeed the word of punishment has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe. Qur'an 17:22 Set not up with Allah any god partners, O man you will sit down reproved, forsaken in the hell fire. Because I God tolerate no partners -Exodus 34:14. [ this is mandated in the bible So is either you are lying or bible is lying judge for yourselves before dooms day overtake you. وَاِنۡ تُطِعۡ اَكۡثَرَ مَنۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ يُضِلُّوۡكَ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَخۡرُصُوۡنَ (6:116) If you obey the majority of those who live on earth, they will lead you away from Allah's path. They only follow idle fancies, indulging in conjecture |
THE POLITICAL REVEREND. "Nigeria is not worth dying for." A reckless & useless statement by Rev. Fr.Mathew Kuka (the military are dying to save Nigerians) don't mock them Cynicism, scepticism couple with religious sarcasm with flavor of money in the circle of political favor that define spiritual prosperity is what Rev. Kukah stand for. That is why when the black rev ooze odious statements that can ignite flames, it differs from what is obtainable at the VATICAN. The pope is never a hypocrite. We all know who is Rev. Kukah not to menace a word he is a PDP mouth piece that had his liason office at ASO rock in the days when stealing was not corruption. He has been talking from all sides of his mouth because we have rule of law. His congregation is not up to 2% in the Sultanate of Sokoto that he lives peacefully but he blows his cannon with utmost power and valour to tell the world that Nigerian Christians are closer to God. I love the silence from the sultanate. I love the silence the lmams and sheikh have accorded to his Vitriolic and display of spiritual and political nuisance. I love the silence of the president on a self seeking ambassador of disdain who always want to look good. Buhari will not give anybody brown envelope. let him continue ranting. In contradictions and self indictment. |
LIMITS OF INSOLENT INTOLERANCE Imagine a renown, respected Islamic cleric living in the heart of Enugu, using every public forum to insult or denigrate Christians. Only God knows how Enugu residents would react to that. That is exactly what Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, living in the seat of Sokoto caliphate, where the Sultan also lives, has been doing to Muslims since the day he was posted there as the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese. Sometimes, one can't help wondering whether Bishop Kukah was posted there on purpose: to test the elastic limits of Muslims' tolerance. The man has allowed his inferiority complex induced by both his midget physique and minority status, to cloud his senses of reasoning and propriety. Kukah also suffers from acute siege mentality or persecution complex, always acting as a self-appointed spokesman of all the "oppressed" Christian minorities of northern Nigeria. His recently renewed outbursts against Muslims cannot be unconnected with his loss of relevance and free passage to the Villa, whose gates were thrown open to him by the wily old man, Obasanjo, a tradition which president Jonathan not only maintained, but also improved on, with additional keys to our national treasury. Bishop Kukah has never lost an opportunity to disparage Muslims and especially Hausa-Fulani for whom he harbours inveterate, implacable hate. However, what is most baffling is that Kukah is a Catholic Bishop, not a Pentecostal prophet. He completely jettisons the pristine teachings of Jesus Christ on peace, forgiveness and love for one's neighbour. Instead, he always preaches hate and intolerance and incites Christians to violence. The Bishop has every right to be angry and mad with president Buhari for snubbing him and plugging the pipes that were supplying easy money to him, but he has no right to take out his frustration on innocent, peace-loving citizens, in his strident efforts to set Nigeria ablaze. Meanwhile, kudos to us the Muslims, especially those in Sokoto, that teach him and his fellow-Christians a lesson in and the virtures of tolerance and peaceful coexistence. |
If you claim to be a Muslim or Christian and you indulge yourself in sin of hatred even having evil thoughts against your neighbour then you are living in sin and your claim to love God is a lie. Both Muslims and Christians have to learn how to control their words, thoughts and actions. It is only then we will begin to really understand what Islam and Christianity is all about. Pay no heed to the false prophets of these days that speak so much on prosperity and wealth while they ignore Salvation. Many of the people at the grassroots are now realising that when it comes to sharing the loot of Nigerian treasury, tribal and religious differences disappear and our elite become one. As to be expected, members of the political elite are not giving up. They are using their financial muscle to encourage a campaign of hate through every conceivable medium at their disposal. Mr Tribalist, your tribe is well represented in the list of armed robbers, treasury looters, kidnappers, ritual killers, internet fraudsters and drug pedlars, just as the other tribes you deride. There is no tribe that is all good just as there is none that is irredeemably bad. Every mother does have them! Allah said: "O Mankind, We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is he who is the most righteous of you" (Q 49:13). The most worrying aspect of your myopia is that you are handing over the baton of hate to your children. But you forget that they are in a globalized world in which those children you have villagised will have no place. Has it ever occurred to you that the more you villagise your children the narrower their catchment scope in terms of spread and reach? Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism” (Abu Dawud, 5102). Leaders are more able to help people when they try to exemplify the Scripture’s teachings. Political leaders should set an example of discipleship for the people they serve. Religious bigotry is borne out of nothing but acute material and mental poverty. Beware Mr Tribalist, you may yet fall on your own sword. Has it ever occurred to you that the same person you wish dead may attend your own funeral? May we be guided to the right path. |
Analysis: How the Nigerian media underreported Nathaniel Samuel’s attempt to bomb a Church ▪︎ Case study of top seven newspapers in Nigeria There is a near zero reportage of the botched suicide attack on Sunday at the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Sabon Tasha in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The situation was almost same in virtually all the major newspapers in Nigeria today, Monday, February 3, 2020. For a country facing a perennial insurgency, it is sad to have a print media industry that relishes the generous mention of concocted anti-Muslim terror-related attacks under the guise of a phantom ‘Islamisation agenda’ (whatever that contraption means to its claimants and promoters). It is indeed most unfortunate to witness a phenomenon that smacks of criminal conspiracy and silence, with virtually all the major newspapers in Nigeria, choosing to ignore probably the biggest news story of the day – “Police arrests Suicide Bomber, Nathaniel Samuel in failed attempt to blow-up Living Faith Church”, as reported by this medium few minutes after the News broke yesterday. The Coverage Four out of the top seven Nigerian newspapers that didn’t give the news any mention on their respective cover pages are The Nation, Vanguard, ThisDay, and Daily Sun (though Daily Sun buried it as a rider with ‘just bomb scare’). While two – The Punch and The Guardian barely mentioned it on top and below their nameplate/masthead respectively without revealing the identity of the suicide bomber who was identified as Nathaniel Samuel by the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo. Rather than expose his criminality with a massive cover mention as done by Daily Trust – the last of the ‘top 7′ newspapers, who flaunted the wicked face of the Christian bomber on its cover page, the remaining media outfit chose to give generous mention to other news which might be based on their personal or paymasters’ interest. Those who flaunted the pictures of Pastor Adeboye and other Christian leaders on their covers (The Punch, Guardian, The Nation, Vanguard, Daily Sun) for protesting the ‘killing of Christians’ by the Boko Haram and the state of insecurity in the country should have found it interesting and newsworthy that a fellow Christian was apprehended while attempting to bomb a church in a Muslim majority state. In fact, many journalists and media owners truly believe in the narratives that Christians are the victims. Igbo Akeregha, a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and Abuja Bureau Chief of The Guardian Newspaper said this morning on AIT’s Kakaaki Newspaper Review that, “As we speak, Christians in this country have been pushed to the wall. Whether we like it or not, that is the position…and the killing of Christians isn’t a religious war. When you say a religious war, it means both Muslims and Christians are fighting but as it is, it is one side against the other. There is a clear agenda to wipe out Christians from this country.” One can only but imagine what the nature of the headlines would have been on the front pages of the aforementioned Nigerian newspapers today had the suicide bomber, Nathaniel Samuel succeeded in his terrorist activity. For us at Muslim News, it is another testament of the culpability of a section of the mainstream media in the security challenges facing the country. These newspapers and their gullible but equally sentimental readers with jaundiced notion have *wittingly or wittingly* lent themselves as a divisive instrument in the hands of those who see the existence of one united Nigeria as an existential threat to their hidden agenda, and to those who are surreptitiously working to put an end to our existence as a nation. Perhaps, this is why a public commentator and a social media influencer, Adejare Ibrahim wrote: “Bigots! “Now, some religious bigots have found their voice. The suicide bomber, according to their warped thoughts, is Nasiru, not Nathaniel Samuel again. Some were even beclouded by their jaundiced sentiment to the extent of saying the guy is neither a Christian nor a Muslim. How they got all these facts remains a mystery that needs to be unraveled. “This is the real bane of our common development as a nation. We try to cover faeces (shit) with our mouth or barehand, no matter how smelly or putrid it appears. Must we always lose our sense of reasoning to religion! This is damn too bad. “The Police Authority, through a Deputy Superintendent of Police, made an official statement and Channels TV reported the case: they mentioned the guy’s name as Nathaniel Samuel. Yet, some people are making satanic efforts to shield the criminal by trying to change the narrative. “What, exactly, is wrong with us as a people? What is our aim on this unsolicited defence of a suspected murderer? Is it because he is a Christian or what? What sort of attempt are you trying to make? To show us that a Christian can never be a terrorist, suicide bomber, criminal or a murderer? “The naked fact is that criminality is not peculiar to a particular religion or ethnic group. As we have terrorists among Muslims, so also we have them among Christians. There are Christian murderers, kidnappers, thieves, pilferers, ritualists, armed robbers. Also, we have all of them among Muslims! “You can argue till Jesus comes; that does not obliterate the truth”, he concluded We leave history, posterity and God to be the Judge of all these newspapers with their divisive agenda. https://lm.?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmuslimnews.com.ng%2F2020%2F02%2F03%2Fanalysis-how-the-nigerian-media-underreported-nathaniel-samuels-attempt-to-bomb-a-church%2F&h=AT2wviavfSjk86bFyMKJlAg-HU4jRuPuTcd5FURhZCIY6AYTsRYwYAfZg8lT2g_YmVQXN2XPqE-pURI4mIQrB-R8BKJhH96R7BSXby4sAgtMU78YNOydPRVOz-peUp5m&s=1 |

THE HYPOCRISY OF C.A.N ... In 2013 - JONATHAN WAS THE PRESIDENT, PROMINENT ISLAMIC SCHOLARS LIKE SHEIKH JAFFAR AND ALBANI ZARIA WERE ASSASSINATED, THE MUSLIMS DID NOT PROTEST, LATE GENERAL MAMMAN SHUWA, A CELEBRATED AND DECORATED MILITARY ADMINISTRATOR, WAS ALSO KILLED, THE MUSLIMS DID NOT PROTEST, THERE WAS A FAILED ATTEMPT TO KILL BUHARI AND SHEIKH DAHIRU BAUCHI, THE MUSLIMS DID NOT PROTEST. A LITTLE LATER, SOME FEMALE STUDENT WERE KIDNAPPED IN CHIBOK MOST OF WHOM WERE MUSLIMS, AND A NUMBER OF THEM KILLED, SOME WERE NEVER FOUND, THE MUSLIMS DID NOT PROTEST. BUT TO MY KNOWLEDGE, MORE THAN 10 PROTEST WERE ORGANISED FOR LEAH SHARIBU BY CAN, BBOG, AND SOME OTHER POISONOUS ORGANISATIONS FOR ONE REASON ONLY, - SHE IS A CHRISTIAN. WHEN - HAUWA MAINA A - U.N. STAFF WAS KIDNAPPED AND PUBLICLY EXECUTED, THE MUSLIMS DID NOT PROTEST. .... FOR THE INFORMATION OF THOSE THAT HAVE A RETROGRESSIVE THINKING FACULTY, THE NORTH EAST IS PREDOMINATELY A MUSLIM SOCIETY WITH A HANDFUL OF CHRISTIANS DOTED HERE AND THERE, .... RECENTLY, A C.A.N PRESIDENT OF ADAMAWA STATE CHAPTER WAS KIDNAPPED AND KILLED, C.A.N IS NOW GOING TO TOWN TO ORGANISE THE MOTHER OF ALL PROTEST AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. IT IS NOTEWORTHY TO ALSO MENTION THAT, DURING BUHARI'S RECENT VISIT TO THE U.K. THE EUROPEAN UNION WARNED HIM OF ON PLIGHT OF CHRISTIANS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA, THEY CLAIMED THAT MORE THAN 60,000 CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN KILLED AND THOSE THAT LIVED HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED TO LIVE AND PRACTICE THERE RELIGION IN PEACE. HERE A SINGLE EXAMPLE IS ENOUGH TO DEBUNK SUCH A FAIRY TALE. REVEREND FATHER KUKAH LIVES AND PRACTICE HIS FAITH IN SOKOTO, THE SEAT OF NIGERIA'S ISLAMIC CALIPHATE WHERE THERE ARE MORE CHURCHES THAN MOSQUES. THOUGH HE HAS HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONVERT EVEN A MUSLIM CHICKEN TO CHRISTIANITY FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS, HE HAS NEVER BEEN MOLESTED OR PREVENTED FROM PRACTICING HIS FAITH. IT IS ALSO NOTEWORTHY THAT THERE ARE SOME PARTS OF THE COUNTRY LIKE THE SOUTHE EAST AND THE SOUTH SOUTH WHERE NO MOSQUES EXIST AND MUSLIMS HAVE TO PRACTICE IN SECRECY FOR FEAR OF BEING LYNCHED, THERE ARE NO PART OF NOTHERN NIGERIA WHERE THERE ARE NO CHURCHES IN ALL THE STATES. ITS HIGH TIME MUSLIMS WOKE UP TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES AND MATCH THIS POISONOUS ORGANISATIONS CALLED C.A.N WORD FOR WORD. |
THE BITING HATE AGENDA RAVAGING AREWA. Any northerner is now viewed in the South as enemy. BUT they love DANGOTE'S investments in the region. What has crept into our brain? Are we still human? Okada riders that came from the north are considered as strategies for invasion of southern lands. While the southern in the North are investors, entrepreneurs, expatriates, researchers, etc. The taxi drivers, traders and other unskilled labourers of southern tribes are not strategically placed to invade the land in the North. See the idiotic sentiments powered by hate. May God help Nigeria. |
THE PROHIBITION OF TAKFIR (A MUSLIM CALLING ANOTHER MUSLIM UNBELIEVER). Takfir or the condemnation of a Muslim by another Muslim as a kafir is strictly prohibited in the Quran, the Hadith, and the writings of many eminent Muslim authorities. According to the Quran, if a person says assalamu alaikum to us to indicate that he is a Muslim, we cannot say to him "you are not a believer.'' (4:94). Ibn Umar related that the Prophet (SAW) said: If a Muslim calls another kafir, then if he is a kafir let it be so; otherwise, he [the caller] is himself a kafir.'' (Abu Dawud, Book of Sunna, edition published by Quran Mahal, Karachi, vol. iii, p. 484). Abu Zarr reported that the Prophet said: No man accuses another man of being a sinner, or of being a kafir, but it reflects back on him if the other is not as he called him.'' (Bukhari, Book of Ethics; Book 78, ch. 44). The teaching contained in these two hadiths is meant to stop Muslims from dubbing each other as sinners and kafirs. Takfir of Muslims is also prohibited in the standard, classical works of Islamic law (fiqh) and creed (`aqa'id) accepted by the Ahl as-Sunna. "And among the doctrines of the Ahl as-Sunna is that none of the people of the Qibla can be called kafir.'' (Sharh `Aqa'id Nasfi, p. 121) Imam Abu Hanifa, the founder of the Hanafi system of Islamic law, which has more followers than any other system in Islam, it is written: "He did not call as kafir anyone from among the people of the Qibla.'' (Sharh Mawaqif, fifth part) He said: "Nothing expels a man from faith except the denial of that which made him enter it.'' (Rad al-Mukhtar, vol. iii, p. 310) "It is extremely serious to expel a Muslim from the faith.''(Sharh Shifa, vol. ii, p. 500). |
NEWS Islamic group reacts as CJN calls for constitution amendment to accommodate Sharia lawPublished 11 hours ago on December 13, 2019 By John Owen Nwachukwu The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has reacted to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Muhammad Tanko’s call for constitutional amendments to accommodate some peculiarities of Shariah law which have been ignored for so long. The CJN made the statement while declaring open the 20th Annual Judges Conference at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, yesterday. The CJN was represented by Justice Muhammad Danjuma, the Grand Khadi of Niger State. MURIC backed the CJN’s suggestion, adding that the current constitution was a child of British colonial Christianisation of the country which had failed to take into consideration the multi-religious nature of the Nigerian nation. MURIC spoke through its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, who issued a press statement to DAILY POST on the matter, Friday. The statement added, “The CJN has our full backing on this. The British colonial government bequeathed a legacy of Christianisation to the Nigerian nation. Muslims were not comfortable with it but the British did not listen. “The British did not give a damn. The Northern Muslims resisted and the British invaded the North. “Muslim resistance was brutally broken by the ruthless massacre of thousands of Muslim freedom fighters in Hausaland, particularly in Burmi (1903), Satiru (1906) and Zinder (1917). “Even those who surrounded were not spared as they were mowed down with machine guns. Thereafter, the British victors curtailed Islamic landmarks. “Islam had arrived in Karnem Borno in the year 1085 (818 years before the invasion of the North by the British) during the reign of King Humi Jilmi while Christianity was first preached in 1842 (757 years after the advent of Islam) under the Agacia tree in Badagry. “As far as we are concerned, therefore, the British who brought Christianity to Nigeria spread their religion by force after invading the North, after intimidating the South West and after subdueing the Muslims who had been practicing their faith for more than 800 years. They used excessive force against the Muslims and carried out barbaric and extra-judicial killings. “The bombardment of Lagos in 1851 by Commodore Captain R. W. Bruce during the ‘Boiling Battle’ (Ogun Ahoyaya) and the subsequent surrender of the city was the first operation ‘shock and awe’ designed to cow Southerners. It was equally intended to send a strong message to the North. “The booming of cannon shells and other bombs was hitherto unknown to the city. Lagos quickly put its tail between its legs like a frightened dog and other cities in the South West took the cue. “It was a fait accompli. The Muslim population cautioned its membership against courting the ire of the colonial masters. This surrender paved the way for the creation of the Lagos Colony ten years later (1861). “From then onwards, the city of Lagos which by 1775 had more than fifty Islamic schools, opened the floodgate to the intimidation and coercion of Muslim children in colonial schools. This persecution has lasted to date. “We have gone down the lanes of history because today was born from the wombs of yesterday. Muslims in Yorubaland put up no armed resistance to colonial invasion and forceful conversion whereas Northern Muslims died in their thousands resisting colonial invasion. “This resulted in the bold and ruthless conversion of Muslims to Christianity in the South West whereas the colonialists exercised caution in their dealing with Northern Muslims. “This situation also informed British adoption of indirect rule in the North. Nobody should ask MURIC to forget the history of Nigerian Muslims. Brutalisation of Muslims by the British marauders is part of our history just as the forceful abandonment of Islamic landmarks as ordered by the British Christian evangelists. “It was after the British had killed all Muslims who resisted their occupation of Northern Nigeria and after they had imposed restrictions on the Shariah that they established a Christian-oriented administration. “Western education through which thousands of Muslims were forcefully converted was also introduced to replace Islamic education which was already popular before the arrival of the British. “This was the situation until Nigeria obtained independence in 1960 and the Muslims continued to bear the brunt of subjection to a Christian-oriented system. “Unfortunately successive regimes in post-independence Nigeria have failed to review the system after the exit of the British in spite of repeated demands. As a result of this, the Muslims remain unintegrated, unaccommodated and displeased. “Without attempting to justify violent uprisings, it is our contention that this lop-sidedness is partly responsible for the interreligious clashes which Nigeria has experienced to date, including, of course, Boko Haram insurgency. “The system we run in this country is not only alien to Muslim culture, it has marginalised the Muslim population. Our democracy is deceptive in as much as Muslims who form the largest segment of the population are not integrated into the system. Participatory democracy is the global best practice. But not in Nigeria. “Nigeria’s democracy excludes the Muslims. Our weekends shut Muslims out. It is the entire monopoly of Christians. Saturday and Sunday are free but Friday is not. “The Muslim girl-child goes to school with tears in her eyes because she must not enter the school with hijab on her head. There is no single Shariah Appeal Court in the entire South West and Muslims in that sub-region are subjected to Christian common law in all civil matters. “Muslim marriages conducted inside mosques are not recognised but those held in churches are sacrosanct. This democracy is fraudulent. “Christian women enjoy the monopoly of recruitment into the army, navy, police, civil defence, traffic wardens, immigrations, customs, etc but Muslim women cannot because those uniformed agencies will not recruit users of hijab. Yet Muslim police women and soldiers use hijab in Britain, United States, Ireland, etc. Female Muslim graduates therefore remain jobless and impoverished while their Christian counterparts smile to the banks. “Yet it was not so ab initio. It was the British Christian colonialists who changed the system to favour Christians only. This is not good enough and we need to sit down like neighbours to renegotiate our nationhood. “It is always better to jaw-jaw than to war-war. If we all condemn the Boko Haram style, what alternative have we put forward? “MURIC therefore embraces the CJN’s idea of the need for constitutional amendment. It is even belated. It is part of restructuring. “We hope the restructuring camp will welcome the CJN’s idea because it is not going to be about Muslim demands alone but a comprehensive one. We call for objectivity in this matter. “Those who always oppose anything which is likely to benefit Muslims are urged to consider this initiative with an open mind. Constitutional amendment has all the potentials to usher in peace and tranquillity if we approach it with sincerity.” |
THE HUMAN RIGHTS GROUP AND C.A.N GOT IT WRONG My attention was drawn to the sepatate calls made by the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the resignation or removal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). The two bodies bitterly criticized the CJN for calling for the improvement of the status of the Shari'ah in Nigeria through the amendment of the relevant sections of the Constitution. They described the CJN as heating the polity by thus calling for what they described, laughably though, as the Islamization of the country. The comments of the two bodies reminded me of those of an Ibadan high court judge back in 1990. In the course an expert evidence that I gave before him under cross examination on Shari'ah provisions on succession and inheritance by the renowned legal luminary, Mrs. Folake Solanke SAN, the trial judge, a Christian, expressed surprise at, and profound appreciation of the depth and breadth of the Shari'ah. Openly before the whole court, he lamented his lack of knowledge of a law in force in his own country even as a judge. Consequently, he advocated that every student in Nigeria should be made to study the Shari'ah. How does that compare with the vertuperous attacks of the HURIWA and the CAN on the CJN? What a huge contrast! Who knows better the constitution and the law, a judge or a biased human rights writer and a layman scribe of CAN combined? Section 38 of the 1999 Constitution as ammended guarantees freedom of religion both in belief and in practice. The whole life of a Muslim is governed by the laws of his religion. Therefore, it is the duty of the nation to provide for a judicial system whereby the relevant laws are interpreted correctly and disputes among adherents arising from such laws are resolved peacefully. Hence, there are provisions in the Constitution for the establishment of Shari'ah courts any where this is required in the country to cater for the needs of Muslim citizens. If HURIWA and CAN are not asking that these provisions be expunged from the constitution, why do they want to crucify the CJN for calling for the improvement of the Shari'ah as other laws in force in the country are open to improvement? In what way is the improvement of the application of the Shari'ah for Muslims in Nigeria offensive to non-Muslims? And in what way does it constitute a violation of the the provision of Section 10 of the Constitution which prohibits the adoption of a state religion by the State? Incidentally, the critics contradicted themselves by suggesting that Nigeria is both a 'Secular' and 'Multi-religious'. Are'nt the two terms mutually exclusive? No where in any constitution of Nigeria is the country described as 'Secular'. Those who are pathological hostile to anything Muslim to the extent of denying fellow citizens who happen to be Muslims, rights even as simple as the use of hijab by female Muslim pupils and students are better advised to purge themselves of such hostility for the good of all. Let them bear in mind that Muslims are aware of the fact the Saturday- Sunday weekend imposed on all of us by our Christian colonizers satisfies the religious needs of only Nigerian Christian's. Yet, Muslims are not complaining. So, let non-Muslim citizens of Nigerian cultivate the spirit of "Live and let live". Meanwhile, we should salute the courage of the CJN, commend him for making the call and urge the National Assembly to take quick action on his suggestion and do the needful. By Prof. Dawud O. S. Noibi OBE Former Executive Secretary, Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria & Retired Prof. of Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. |
IS IT THE HIJAB THAT YOU PEOPLE HATE OR THE RELIGION? "Everyone want to be like Mary, the mother of Jesus (AS) but only few that emulate her mode of decent dressing especially covering head" -Na'im. The literal meaning of hijab is to veil, to cover or to screen. It encompasses more than just a dress code; it is concerned with moral boundaries and respect for woman. It is part of community cohesion and modest behaviour. Quran says that veiling or covering indicates the high status of believing women: “… (Oh Muhammad) Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed (molested or insulted)...” (Q 33:59) The early Christian women veiled their heads in places of worship and anytime they were in public and Christian women continued to maintain this practice to some degree throughout the centuries until the 19th and 20th centuries when the practice rapidly declined. We advise non Muslims to take their destiny in their own hands instead of allowing warlike leaders to lead them into unnecessary confrontation with Muslims every time. We invite them to eschew bitterness. We should be partners in lending the voice of reason to the national debate instead of constituting clerical nuisance to the Nigerian nation. We advise them to desist from giving religion a bad name. The word ‘religion’ is from the Latin word ‘religio’ meaning ‘to link’, ‘to tie’ or ‘to bind’. Therefore religion is about linking people together in love and sharing. It is not about dividing them. Religion is about love, forgiveness, tolerance, giving and taking. Let us be good examples for the young generation. Our constant bickering has led to too many religious crises. It has pushed our followers to the precipice of war and instigated them against one another. Why must we live together like two envious wives of the same husband when we should see ourselves as two sons of the same father? This is the etymological essence of religion. This is an example of Muslim women that were call to bar in Kenya but I wonder my country, Nigeria, the reverse is the case. Nasiruddeen Abdullahi Isa 16/12/17 |

WE WON'T ALLOW RELIGION TO DIVIDE NIGERIANS, SAYS PRESIDENT BUHARI President Muhammadu Buhari Monday in Abuja expressed the strong determination of his administration to forge a strong, united nation from the diverse religious and ethnic communities in the country. Receiving the Tijjaniyya Muslim Religious Movement at the State House, President Buhari lauded the prevalence of mutual understanding among the followers of the two major religions in the country, Islam and Christianity. “It is generally said that differences divide people. We in Nigeria understand that there is no way a misunderstanding can cause division among us. We are one people,” he said. President Buhari told leaders of the delegation, mostly Senegalese, that the Tijjaniyya religious order was not new to him or to Nigerians, citing specific communities around him who practised its ways and commended them for being orderly, peaceful and constructive. “The requirements of our people, whatever religion they follow, and to whatever ethnic group they belong in Nigeria is the same. ‘‘They need security, education and participation in an inclusive economy. On this, we are being very fair to all Nigerians,” he said. The Nigerian leader welcomed the prayers of the religious group for his wellbeing and for the peace and progress in Nigeria. He urged them to convey his best wishes to President Macky Sall of Senegal, saying: “ I assure you that I am very close to your President. He addresses me as ‘Baba’,’’. The leader of the delegation, Sheikh Muhammad Lamin Inyas, son of one of the greatest Muslim religious Leaders in West Africa, Sheikh Ibrahim Inyas said their father brought them up to love and appreciate his large following in Kano and Nigerian cities. “We are part of this country. We have come here to renew ties and the bonds of relationship. This is our reason for the homage,” he said. The delegation prayed for the realization of best wishes and aspirations of President Buhari, and for unity and solidarity among the universal followers of the religion. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic human rights organization, has reacted to the expulsion of two female Christian youth corpers from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Ebonyi State. MURIC declared support for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). MURIC leader, Professor Ishaq Akintola, in a statement on Tuesday, said those expelled have the right to satisfy their conscience regarding what to wear and what not to wear in public. “There is freedom of religion in the Nigerian Constitution and NYSC is flagrantly violating Section 38 (i) and (ii) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. NYSC is behaving like the notorious Gestapo. It is time to liberalise”, it said. “It is not just a religious matter. Morality is involved here. NYSC seeks to destroy our norms and values. Our sons and daughters who were trained in good Christian and Muslim homes are stripped nude when they go for NYSC. This is unacceptable. Something must be done urgently if this is the mission of NYSC. “It is absolutely wrong to force our daughters to appear in short knickers in public. It is against strict Christian and Islamic teachings. It is also an assault on the dignity of their human persons. They feel humiliated. It is a big shame. NYSC is flagrantly infringing the Nigerian constitution. “NYSC was introduced to instill patriotism and discipline in Nigerian youth. But what kind of discipline can NYSC instill in corpers if the female members are instructed to wear atrociously short knickers that expose sensitive parts of their anatomy to prying eyes? This is a direct way of encouraging immorality and corruption. “We invite CAN to join us in the fight against corruption and immorality. We can stop moral debauchery in Nigeria if we can all come together. Greed, avarice, massive accumulation of wealth and criminality will reduce drastically if Christian and Muslim leaders speak with one voice against all vices. This is better for Nigeria than being at logger-heads all the time.” “We commend CAN leadership for speaking out in support of the two Christian girls who wish to dress decently. Nonetheless, we call CAN’s attention to the plight of Muslim female students who are facing persecution in South Western schools on account of hijab. It is a tale of two girls. “The Muslim girl and the Christian girl from good homes. Both of them wish to dress decently. They feel assaulted if they are disallowed from doing so and they are both prepared to face the repercussion for challenging the status quo. “This is why we find it curious that CAN has joined issues with Muslim parents who have gone to court to challenge tyrannical school authorities in Ibadan, Abeokuta, etc who lock out female Muslim students for using hijab. “While the girls’ parents have gone to court to challenge the schools’ illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional decisions, CAN (which was not sued in the case) has approached the courts asking to be joined in the suit as interested parties on the schools’ side. “We find it paradoxical that the same CAN has asked the Christian girls expelled in Ebonyi to sue NYSC. Now, how would CAN feel if an Islamic organization should also approach the same court stating reasons why the case should be thrown out? “It is obvious that Muslims have nothing to do with the Ebonyi case in the first place, so why join issues over it? But why did CAN join schools sued by Muslim parents whose daughters are being persecuted? Is it for Jacob or Esau? “We call on the new director general of the NYSC to intervene in the issue of the two Christian girls expelled in Ebonyi. Those two girls should be recalled. We also advise the new NYSC leadership to set the machinery in motion for a review of the NYSC dress code in line with the issues raised by religious groups.” http://muslimrightsmuric..com/2019/11/muric-supports-can-on-expelled.html?m=1 |
MUSLIM STUDENTS SOCIETY OF NIGERIA (MSSN) AIR FORCE GIRLS COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL, ABUJA CHAPTER WEEK NINE (9) ASSEMBLY PRESENTATION BY MSSN CLUB ON: TOLERANCE AND FORGIVENESS The literal meaning of tolerance is “to bear.” Tolerance is a basic principle of life. It is a religious and moral duty. It does not mean compromise. It does not mean lack of principles or lack of seriousness about one’s principles. Remember, tolerance toward falsehood is intolerance. It means accepting the fact that human beings, naturally distinct in their appearance, situation, speech, behaviour and values, it means to have the right to live in peace and it also means that one’s views are not to be imposed on others. We have to tolerate others. Tolerance is the gracious knot which binds the family, community, society and keeps the nation intact. The strongest among the servants of God are those who not only have the strength to suppress their anger when they are tested but also possess capacity to forgive. Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense. If we can sincerely seek forgiveness inwardly and outwardly and forgive those who anger us then will have a peaceful society. Tolerance and forgiveness cleanses our souls from the Satan and his negative thoughts. It is important to disregard vain criticisms and this is the first step toward being tolerant. Forgiving people does not mean allowing ourselves of being victims of oppression, nor unreflecting on injustice committed against us. Otherwise, by allowing oppression to take place while possessing the means of stopping it, the non-reactive one may be as bad as the oppressor, if not worse, because he had the ability to stop the evil, yet decided to let it be. Lessons should be learned and preventative causes should take place in order for one to remain immune from the harms. However, one should not result in resentfulness feeling, nor in thinking of taking negative revenge. Of course, this is not done without difficulty because it is hard to understand why those who have caused us grievances do so in the first place. But this is where the battle with our inner self can take a positive turn and allow us to elevate our iman (faith). Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said to his followers: God had ordered me to maintain ties with those who breakup ties with me, and to give to those who deprive me, and to forgive those who oppress me (and seek my forgiveness). (Reported by Bukhari) When we open our hearts and pardon others, we are granting ourselves an inner peace. This is how we can prevent malice from suffocating our hearts, which is crucial because hatred has the ability to make us internally ill. We think that hatred is a means of revenge against those who have harmed us, but by begrudging them we are only harming ourselves. This is because our enemies will never feel our anger, and they live contently as we suffer. When we forgive others, it brings relief to our souls. The word ‘religion’ is from the Latin word ‘religio’ meaning ‘to link’, ‘to tie’ or ‘to bind’. Therefore, religion is about linking and binding people together in love, harmony and sharing. It is not about dividing them. Religion is about love, forgiveness, tolerance, giving and taking. Life is short. Let us not waste our energy on keeping malice. If we can progressively minimize our malice every day, then soon we will bear no hatred in our hearts. This is how we can end conflict amongst ourselves, since it is a day to day issue we face. After all, sometimes our own actions can provoke another person and we may not be aware of how we contributed to the conflict. Naturally we tend to judge the faults of others, while being blind to our own faults. We forget how we have wronged others and we only remember how others have wronged us. In the same manner, we forget the good things that others have done for us and remember only the good that we have done for them. It is an innate human error. But let us try to remember our own shortcomings before we reflect on the shortcomings of others. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: Whoever does not show mercy (on this Earth) will not be shown mercy (in the Hereafter). (Reported by Bukhari). And we must keep in mind that however we treat others is how God will treat us. So when someone hurts us, let us try to meet their oppression with kindness and forgive them, even if they are not sorry. May the Almighty help us to be of the best character and manners for our families, friends and all people around us. May He continue to protect us from evil and immorality. May He also protect us from the evils of those who commit evil; men and women, the ones we know and the ones we don’t know, from among the humans and the Jinn. |

Below is a research paper from NIPSS Kuru, Jos on the herdsmen/farmers *"conflict?"*. It's quite instructive and does recommend a way out of this national security threat. In deed, this is why institutions like NIPSS were established in the first place. Please read through The National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS Kuru. Jos. Guest Speaker. PROGNOSIS OF FACTORS SUSTAINING THE SEDENTARY FARMERS AND NOMADIC HERDERS' CONFLICT, TOWARDS A STRATEGIC RESPONSE Protocols Introduction Historical Perspective/Herding Sedentary Farmers Nomadic Farmers Nomadism Conflict as a Wrong Diagnosis Doctrine of Tort: Trespass and Aggression Legal Views Sustaining Factor/Problem Statement Aggravating Factor: The Fuel/Grazing Cycle Contributory Factor: The Profit/Greed Factor Prognosis • Positive Prognosis • Negative Prognosis Conclusion Introduction The fast pace of change & National Developments in Countries around the World necessitated the establishment of National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies in 1979 for Qualitative input into the National Policy. It serves as a high level centre for Reflection, Research and Dialogue. The National institute has once again demonstrated leadership by choosing the prevailing threat to national security between the farmers and the herdsmen for the first brainstorming session in 2018. The issue of the herdsmen has been sporadic, widespread and recurrent in Nigeria. It has also become intractable, from Abia to Adamawa, Benue to Enugu, Niger to Plateau, Taraba to Ondo and Ekiti to Zamfara. It has been tales of woes, weeping and gnashing of teeth. HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE A pastoral Fulani family is the traditional herding unit. This unit divides task by gender, allowing the men to manage the herds by finding grazing sites, they build tents and camps and provide security through knives, bows and guns. The women are laid back to milking of cows, weaving and marketing of mats and sourcing for food. Cattle is the dominant composition of the Fulani herd in Nigeria and are largely females of about 60-70% and males of about 30-40%. The Males are largely reduced through selling for consumption purposes. These livestock provide a bulk of the beef consumption in Nigeria and hence a veritable source of animal protein for the nourishment of the population. SEDENTARY FARMERS These are settled farmers who practice agriculture in one place in which fields are not rotated. They farm the same place continuously in contrast to shifting cultivation. Sedentary farming started in Angermanland, northern Sweden, during the Iron Age and medieval period based on pollen analytical investigations (Jan-Erik Wallin, Umea University, Sweden) and it is still commonly practiced in Nigeria and several parts of Africa. One thing common among the sedentary farmers is poverty. It is the rate limiting factor to ownership of several plots of land for shifting cultivation and thus increases their hunger, anger, desperation and vulnerability to been killed by the herdsmen. NOMADIC HERDERS These are livestock farmers that move frequently from place to place without a fixed pattern and are principally of the Fulani extraction in Nigeria. There are two types of nomadic farmers 1. Pure nomadic- which engages in random movement of cattle. 2. Semi Nomadic – which engages in planned transhumance movements between one grazing ground to the other in a seasonal cycle, from highlands to lowlands and vice- versa to their camps or homes? NOMADISM Occur because of the following factors; search for abundant grass and water, to avoid tax, harmful insects and hostile weather, for social relocation, to increase sales and to maximal profit etc. CONFLICT AS A WRONG DIAGNOSIS Is there any conflict? There is actually no conflict between the farmers and the herdsmen. There is also no clash. For conflict to exist, the following must be satisfied. • Recognized opposing interests between part |
I believe we shouldnt always be antagonists of govt policies aimed at bringing solution to unnecessary killings of human beings in the land. Herdsmen/Farmers crisis didnt just start during pmb's tennure. What some of us fail to realise is that job opportunities will definitely be created in any area a well run modern livestock rearing settlement is located. Vet doctors etc will benefit. Some naive state governors who suppose to think of how it can boost their state revenue and negotiate with FG are politicising the issue.Yet none of them can profer any solution to the crisis. |
We live in a world where 2 + 2 = 5 Just as 1 + 1 +1 = 1 If you are confused, check this: Who is god?, Jesus Is Jesus the son of Mary?, Yes Who created Mary?, God. Who is God?, Jesus Jesus is the begotten son. Yes Who is his father?, God. Who is God?, Jesus. Jesus is a servant of God?, Yes Who is God?, Jesus. Jesus died on the cross?Yes Who resurrected him?, God. Who is God?, Jesus Jesus is a messenger?, Yes Who sent him?, God. Who is God?, Jesus. Did Jesus worship while on earth?, Yes Whom did he worship?, God. Who is God?, Jesus. Did God have a beginning?, No Then who was born on 25 DEC?, Jesus. Who is God?, Jesus. Where's God?, In heaven How many are there in heaven?, Only one God.* Where's Jesus?, He is sitted on the right hand of his father. Who is God?, Jesus. Then how many are they in heaven?, Only one God Then how many seats?, One Where's Jesus?, Seated next to God. Then how are they seated?, On one chair Its only understood by those with the holy spirit. Who is God?Jesus. What a confusion? |
I, Jesus who is believe to be God created man and woman with original sin. Then I destroy most of them for sinning. Then I impregnated a woman by myself as her child so that I could be born. Later, I will kill myself as a sacrifice to myself to save all of you from the sin I gave you in the first face. It is shocking to see that many people believes and defends this crazy illogical miscalculation. |
The scholars differed concerning the ruling on pregnant woman and breastfeeding mothers if they do not fast. There are several opinions. 1 – That they have to make up the fasts only. This is the view of Imam Abu Haneefah (may Allaah have mercy on him). Among the Sahaabah, it was the view of ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him). 2 – That if they fear for themselves, they have to make up the fast only, and if they fear for their children then they have to make up the fasts and feed one poor person for each day. This is the view of Imam al-Shaafa’i and Imam Ahmad. Al-Jassaas also narrated this from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him). 3 – That they have to feed the poor only, and do not have to make up the fasts. Among the Sahaabah, this was the view of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him). Ibn Qudaamah also narrated this in al-Mughni (3/37) from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him). Abu Dawood (2318) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas and ‘Ali that this phrase – “those who can fast with difficulty” [al-Baqarah 2:184] was a concession granted to old men and old women who find it difficult to fast, allowing them not to fast and to feed one poor person for each day instead, and the same for pregnant and breastfeeding women if they are afraid. Abu Dawood said: i.e., for their children – they may not fast and may feed (the poor) instead. Al-Nawawi said: its isnaad is hasan. This was also narrated by al-Bazzaar who added at the end: Ibn ‘Abbaas used to say to a concubine of his who was pregnant: “You are like one who cannot fast, so you have to pay the fidyah but you do not have to make up the fasts.” Al-Daaraqutni classed its isnaad as saheeh, as stated by al-Haafiz in al-Talkhees. Finally, choose the one that is okay for you among the three opinions I presented and don't forget Nana Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (SAW) said: "If the prophet is given option to choose, he use to choose the most simplest" |

Case of the arrest of about eight Christians in Bauchi in an attempt to blast the COCIN church on Sunday, February 26, 2012.
