I learnt UBA lost some key accounts of Kano state GOVT then however SLS was able to get key accounts from other northern govts with the help of ADO Bayero to make up for the shortfall.

@Na so, how dey you say that? Have u ever been to Bayelsa? Did you see all the completed projects by Timi? What did GEJ do as the Governor apart from drinking and allowing Madam Patience to take possession of all properties.
I am a bonafide bayelsan. you know that the rating of sylva in even yenagoa is close to zero. people like myself are not really comfortable with dickson, but he sure will by miles better than clueless/corrupt sylva.

kelvinc=anafest==otitisteve==moseli.

Sylva is gone for good. he knows that too

Leave which Bayelsa alone? Ask around if you have friends in Bayelsa and you will find that sylva has been a waste of political space. People are very comfortable with this treatment.

When Timi alaibe wanted to contest , he was bold enough to dump pdp and got the LP ticket. let sylva do same if he is sure the people want him.
SportsRe: Austin Eguavoen Quits After Qualifying Failure by naso2(m): 9:52am On Dec 05, 2011
He was told even before the match against algeria that win-or-lose, he was going to be sacked, so i suspect they had some backdoor meeting to make it honourable and call it a resignation.

A Nigerian team has not played that badly in a long while. After a month of camping the boys still played like they just met at the next bus stop 15 minutes to the match.

Eguavon is a failure, though his propects with the NFF still look brighter than siasia's because though sia1 is a much better coach, eguavon is a good "yes man" in the hands of football authorities.

My guy talk na free no mean say make u dey talk anyhow. u hear me?

Govt has stated the official position, can you post the report you saw initially that Okada ban will start nationwide come dec 31?

Instead of admitting that too many posters in here reacted too quickly to a rumour that had no source you are busy debasing the preisdent.

FG Has Not Banned Okada - Minister

THE Federal Government has declared that it had not authorised the ban on the use of commercial motorcycles as claimed by an agency of government, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA).

Minister for Environment, Hadiza Mailafia, told State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday that no decision had yet been taken on the matter.

She was reacting to news reports emanating from NESREA, which is an agency under her ministry, that suggested that the use of motorcycles has been banned in an attempt to control pollution.

According to her, “there is no decision so far, as far as I am concerned about banning the use of achaba or okada.

“Of course, we are concerned about pollution, but we have not issued any statement to that effect.

“The true position is that government is calling on individuals and organisations of the entire polity to take care of their environment by, of course, complying with rules and regulations. That doesn’t mean you cannot ride motorcycles,” she said.

She said she did not know how the announcement on the ban came about, adding, “that’s what I am still trying to find out. I wouldn’t know. There doesn’t seem to be a reason for that anyway.”
where are those i cautioned against making hasty comments until they heard the full gist?

The man with the real gist, please tell us.

You are offended that people called GEJ names, yet branded them "illiterates" for expressing their views. Too bad!
Kindly point where/how i branded people that expressed their views illiterates. ABI COMPRHENSION NA PROBLEM HERE?

Oga i no know the real gist, but from the posts i see, none even has it. so is it not wise for people to exercise some caution or atleast someone quoting  the report verbatim for us to see the picture clearer?

really for something someone clearly heard over the news so we shouldn't comment on it? Mind you motorcycles have been banned in some areas already , I hope you haven't forgotten that
Really? what exactly did the person hear? someone else has said its not a blanket ban on all okadas but for certain kinds of engines , so which do we beleive?

My point is , people should exercise some caution , get the full gist and then react. All these hasty venoms are not appropriate.

Nigeria has too many senseless literates.

If educated people act as rascals on the web , for a s tory they still dont have full grasp of, then how should the illitrate okada man react.

People are just posting rubbish and calling GEJ names without understanding what the new law covers.

Ahhh finally they learnt something good from ACN. grin grin grin
Bros comparing what pdp did in bayelsa to what ACN did in the entire SW is akin to comparing sleep with death.

Primaries were held in Bayelsa . yes with complaints of irregularities which is expected in Nigerian politics howver if you look for the word "primaries" in ACN's political lexicon you most likely will see a "page cannot be displayed" message.

Personally i dont fancy this dickson guy, i thot Igali or Bruce would have been ok, however a lot of this politicians crying foul would never have dreamt of picking a governoship form had GEJ not "dribbled" sylva and Alaibe out of the way.

secondly some of them boycotted after allowing baby lawyers interprete sylva's fraudulent injuction.

Abeg make dem go rest.

Diskson may not be the perfect replacement people would have wanted, but there are only very few things in life worse than that misfortune called sylva.

If Gej was senseless for  stopping the aregbe' show (thats assuming the minister's action has presidential assent ), then what do we call you for this shameless,  careless call on boko haram for presidential assasination. we have too many children in here  i must confess.  you are calling for rain when people like you can hardly withstand the morning dew. i pity u.  I just wonder if we have mods here .

Tunde Bakare was at sometime a member of deeper life but he did not leave to start his ministry from there. He left deeper life for RCCG and left thereafter to start his ministry.

I am not aware that olukoya had any ties with deeper life.

For me,Siasia shd b excused and Sunday Oliseh appointed,he has d cerification and better pedigree as a player.
My friend dont sit there and talk like you knew 2-1 was enough to qualify.

What he was gunning for was 3-1 which automatically would have made us group leaders without considering the results from other groups. NFF and our journalists failed in this regard also.

2-1 would have been enough becuase of the sudan- Ghana match which Ghana won away2-0. Even with Ghana's pedigree no one expected that result knowing the harsh  weather in sudan and the strength of  sudanese team that held Ghana in Accra .

If NFF like let them sack him, but i unrepentantly still state that at the moment sia1 is the best nigerian coach.

Omooba77:
It is good people are factual now. If you live in Lagos and you drive everyday, you will see what we are saying. Even die hard supporters of BRF now understand what we are talking about. Malu Road,Apapa Ajegunle Boundary was done in the 90s,but most of the roads done has late as four months ago are now fill with potholes, wasting our taxes. I heard one of the Commissioners pleading to bear with them until after rain. In actual fact, construction of roads in Lagos should be cheaper than Edo state, where you have to cut down trees.
You are even talking about malu road, i feel that one is even fair. If you drive down mba road trying to connect OSHODI expressway. That awodiora stretch backing BERGER yard has been dismal for over 3 years now. infact anytime i ply that route I keep asking what exactly people see in this FASHOLA man. Considering the over 400 billion budget of Lagos annually. I can confidently say Fashola is not doing well.

There must be something about this Dr Tunji Olagunju. Virtually all regimes have been recycling him since 70s. Late General Musa Yar'Adua plucked him from ABU as private  Assistant in the Mid 70s. IBB used him as Special Adviser and Minister of External Affair in late eighties, later Minister for Internal Affairs in till IBB left in 1993. Obasanjo also used him as High Commissioner to RSA in his civilian coming, Umaru Yar'adua continued, appointed him Special Adviser on NEPAD. He has retained same position in GEJ government.
