March 28th would be an historical day in Nigeria as the Presidential election is set to take place. President Goodluck Jonathan and APC aspirant Muhammad Buhari are the obvious front runners to battle on the day. Amid the elections, Nigerians have made it so easy for the aspirants (Buhari and Jonathan to dictate by involving themselves in meaningless and unintelligent debates that makes you question sanity. You shouldn’t look far but Nairaland. Immediately a sensitive article is slammed on the site’s frontpage with the tag Jonathan, PDP, APC, Buhari, be ready for scathing comments between fans of both parties. Even the ardent supporter of President Jonathan knows his tenor has been a mediocre one, even the Man himself in several interviews has begged for time to improve. But with the BOKO Haram recurring menace, questions would be asked if he is the man for the job? Surrounding this, you would expect Nigerians to unite or debate about this in the most sensible of manners like this: Jonathan has had a horrendous tenor but do we give him a second chance; Promise Stable electricity and I will vote, if not every Nigerian would boycott that Election; Buhari is a tough guy and would certainly harden the Military me think; We should put these people for ransom, promise us 24/7 electricity, jobs, squash Boko Haram and we would all vote for you, otherwise nah.. No. Instead it’s ridiculous attacks between both fans; some going deep to dig redundant facts to prove a point, an event meant to improve the Country has been turned to girls fight. Nigerians unintelligent attitude has handed both Buhari and Jonathan an easy pass. They are not coming under severe scrutiny or questioned to the teeth on what they can really offer, both camps just prey on either’s misdemeanor, and trust supporters to follow suit. Yet Nigerians wonder why it’s the same story. |

Adaeze003:Only because you wrote a quite dumb statement and needed to give you the reality check of it. Hey and its a public forum you know. |
