Yesterday, while looking for something interesting to prey on the internet, i came across a letter. Not just an ordinary letter, but a dared open letter to Living faith’s pioneer Mr Bishop Oyedepo. This letter contains proof and evidence that they are apparent demonic structures in the church’s land premises. In a strange twist of fate, this letter was criticized by almost anybody that came across it, calling the writer another attention seeker without actually paying attention to the writer’s message. That is the typical behaviours of most Nigerians, we are so deluded to a point that we feel opposing what we believe is absurd. It’s not. In fact, even the people up there are criticized daily. Letters like this whether true or not are always inevitable. Still, Nigerians feel betrayed and upset when people tend to criticize their belief. If we embark on that, then we are still living in the 19th century. No wonder nothing is progressing in this country. People are too scared to express their thoughts and opinions on the internet due to fear. Are people forgetting we are in the democracy regime? More appealing, you can get criticized for quoting a speech from any of our corrupt leaders by Nigerians- July was the month, and everybody got into the Patience Jonathan endless grammar fail banter. Majority smiled and cheered to them, after all with the current hardship in the country, people deserve jokes like this to force a smile often even if it’s for a while. Not surprisingly, a small section begs to differ. They feel you mocking the first lady and it shouldn’t be so because she is obviously god, and then they come up with lines like ‘you can never reach her status and you only jealous’ and blab la bla. And when you compare the situation abroad, you realize these so called leaders are lucky. Patience Jonathan and Mr nscdc wouldn’t thrive abroad. In fact, i suspect one or both of them embarking on suicide. Those people abroad would make life stink. You don’t go on Live TV and can’t remember the website of your organization and company. Thats like saying Obama might forget to fasten his seat belt during takeoff on the airforce one. However, in Nigeria it’s different. Some even helped rain curses on the guy who created the popular nscdc song. They feel he is just another attention seeker. Understandably, people make mistakes. A child could forget to do his homework. But an adult shouldn’t forget sacred information’s like that. Besides, how a top tv channel forgot to hand over their possible questionnaire to the interviewer is beyond me. So when a top-notch pastor is ridiculed on the internet, it’s expected. Don’t go wild and suggest the writer is an attention seeker. Rather, look into criticizing the writer’s message. A highly esteemed pastor like Oyedepo will be criticized. And when you look via google earth for this claim, you can understand the writer’s plight. Those images seen are appealing. Anybody and i mean anybody could wake up on a faithful morning and bring up facts. If you look closely in the comment section on Vanguard on this news story, a user believes the Dana Air way ill-fated crash might have flown over oyedepo’s cannan land. So he ostensibly believes the victims of the crash were used for ritual purposes. And trust me, the user could back up this claims with evidence and proof. I could bring up a claim that everybody who eats rice is involved in road accidents. So Rice should be abolished. And when you literally observe, people involved in accidents must have eaten rice atleast once- Welcome to the 21st century

aanumama: The attention seeking blogger trying to make himself popular by starting a topic on tonto.Don't worry you already make the front page on NLANDtook the site link off.never posted that to get attention on the blog |
Tonto Dikeh RT this article and fav it on twitter so I decided to share Firstly, am not expressing any benevolent attitude towards Tonto, but we need to address something really important. And also don’t get all worked up, the “god” used in the title is clearly in small letters. Tonto is always getting the hair-dryer treatment from Nigerians, especially Bloggers. They say all sort of abhorrent statements towards her- She is slutty, her tattoos are horrible, she is exposing her body to get fame, she is a run-away actress, and the rants goes on. You ask a Nigerian to list the top ten most influential people in the country, you get this – Jim iyke,Stella damascus, Ramsey noah,Linda ikeja,….. The possibilities of Tonto falling in the top ten pecking order is feared. But as far as am concerned, Tonto is the most influential individual, and Top artist in the country presently. But why? This writer is crazy? Allow me to explain briefly: You bloggers would admit that stories on TONTO DIKEH whether positive or negative always get the highest views, comments, and likes. An irrelevant topic like this ” Tonto dikeh is eating amala {photo below} “ is bound to get more views, comments and likes than this "23 people die in kano" Besides, maybe you should ask the popular Nairaland forum members to verify. Any thread created that includes the name ” Tonto” is going to make front-page. The members over there have complained bitterly about it, but to no avail. More weird, some members went ahead to suggest that Seun (owner of the popular Nairaland) is probably having an affair with Tonto Dikeh. That is false, they keep those topics on the front page for obvious reasons – To get more hits and views. It’s that simple. But still, you would still find most people, especially bloggers criticizing her, when you actually using her to promote your blog. Without Tonto Dikeh stories on your blog, admit it, your blog is useless. She is the Golden Girl, her name alone forks out curiosity and attention. And just yesterday, a story popped up ” Tonto Dikeh falls on stage at iyaya’s concert “. and in minutes, every blog in nigeria had that story pinned to their front page. Why? Because they know the worth of that name presently. Cut Tonto some slack, she is obviously not the Almighty God, but at what she does? She is god. |
Ferguson’s decision to step down from his coaching role at manchester united looks to have invoked hot fire in the United squad. Top Players Like Robin Vanpersie didn’t hesitate to hide their disappointment on his decision. Robin said: “I had to gasp for breath and I shook my head. Had he really said what I thought he’d said?” “The room fell deathly quiet and then everyone became emotional. “Sir Alex then had a long talk with the squad. I found it a very special speech and felt privileged to have witnessed it. “It was an historical moment for football, even though I was not happy to hear his message.” He(Robin) obviously wouldn’t be asking for a transfer request. And you find that a bit funny because his primary decision of moving to Manchester was to work under Fergie- and since Fergie is gone- he has to adapt under new manager David Moyes. His other team-mate nicknamed shrek by twitter users isn’t feeling the same. I knew from the moment Fergie decided to play Robin as the main striker, and place Rooney in a more deeper role in the midfield that it was never going to work out. Rooney has clearly reiterated his desire to play as the Main Striker or he’s leaving. And when you look at United’s bench comprising of Welbeck, Hernandez, then Robin Vanpersie, that is going to be a major headache for David Moyes. Moreso, Big players have got big egos, you don’t expect keeping Rooney on the bench since he has refused that deep- lying midfield role. He is a big players and if he isn’t played in his preferred position, then he might opt to leave. Robin on the other hand had a fantastic season where he was the major catalyst that spurred united’s early league acquisition. That means, he falls first in the pecking order in the attack department. And that also means, Rooney falls second or third (clearly can’t be last heh). Then in a strange twist of fate, the same manager who called Rooney an arrogant player, and also sued him once is set to be his coach next season. That is like Pouring hot water on sour wound. Although, pundits may suggest they may both work out their differences, which I find possible. but then, Rooney is more like an enigma, aggressive, arrogant, you name it. he’s totally unpredictable, he could decide to hand in a transfer request today, and block it tomorrow. And Remember, a big manager like Fergie had torrid times with Rooney on few occasions. So expecting Moyes to contain his behaviors and do the daddy-son thing is impossible. That leaves Rooney with two big decisions- Stay or Leave. If he chooses the latter, they are numerous clubs wanting to secure his services despite his gigantic wages. Arsenal, according to the media, are in pole position to strike a deal with United. Owner Ivan Gasidiz gave Wenger the boost of the Club’s ability to afford Rooney’s transfer fee and wages. A move to Arsenal is quite ideal. Olivier Giroud has struggled on few occasions and isn’t that lethal or clinical striker. Unlike Rooney who possess those abilities. So a starting place at Arsenal is guaranteed unless Arsenal get Falcao, then he should be worried. (heh) Rooney is still in a productive football age and staying at Manchester involves two things – Endure whatever Moyes decides even if it doesn’t match your satisfaction, play second-fiddle to Robin. He clearly wouldn’t want any of those. So your thoughts, should Rooney stay at Manchester United or seek for Greener pastures elsewhere? -nasforAMBV |

Editorial : No disparity between football and life The round leather game is turning into some cultural belief thing. Football isn't some ordinary walk-over shindigs where you roar while the game is on, and stop when the game is over. it is more than that, it's something more like passion and belief ; something people look forward to everyday, talk about, and even practice. Maybe you understand now why I called it a " cultural thing " heh? For those lucky Arsenal fans out there who has seen the Gunners lift a trophy, well you should count yourself lucky. unlike me, who hasn't been privileged. I grade myself in the young gunner category, nurtured and brain-washed by Arsene Wenger. Not in the negative way though. Now "Heartbreaks", the most overrated word used by mostly females. They talk like Love "heartbreaks" is the most painful event in life,no its not. And if you think it is, try supporting Arsenal. Or maybe your team is looking set to lifting the formerly named Carling cup trophy, and then, just then, you concede a late goal with just one minute left on the clock. Now that's more painful than meeting your wife and your pastor in bed. A friend criticized me last week for laconically noting that football brings "harmony and destruction". Allow me to quote his words " Femi you words sound absurd, there is nothing in this world that can bring harmony and destruction. " In Nigeria, Hardcore football fans would boast about, How, Strong and powerful Manchester United is over Arsenal or Vice-versa. The schadenfreude attitude is also common here. Most of this irrelevant arguments often lead into violent situations. New year's day, I was watching one of the famous epl derby's in a popular viewing centre in my vicinity, but I didn't enjoy the game, simply because, this two guys (One an Arsenal fan,the other spurs fan) continued cursing themselves on bragging rights. As expected, they ended up fighting. Well, When Nigeria lifted the africa cup of nations just few months back, I saw this two gentlemen singing the Nigeria National anthem and also drinking whiskey together. A cousin of mine who happened to participate in the just concluded Jamb exam, told me about how difficult the maths exam was. I smiled and teased him of just "over exaggerating". But His reply which I found quixotic wasn't far from what I expected, he said something about " Maths being the most difficult life experience". Yeah a lot of people have suggested that too. Well maybe you should try coaching an amateur team to battle with the Chelsea's defense sharpened by former gaffer Roberto di-Matteo. That is more than Mathematics, you need to get your tactics and players ready - Calculating the distance your midfielders are meant to cover. containing possession. warning your defense of a possible paroxysm attack. finding a great playmaker who is to play the box-to-box role. add coaching your defenders on set-piece threat. Zonal marking and the rest. And that is just the beginning. Some parents (few) are ready to sacrifice any little cent to send their children to school. Most of them need to work two jobs to send their wards to school, that is dedication. But a friend (OLU) told me he had to keep his lunch money to watch a Uefa Champions league match- well that in my opinion is dedication too. No matter how much is involved. I would cherish Obama sacrificing his seat in the economy class in a plane than millions of naira. There is nothing really under the sun that doesn't relate to football events. No difference. We talk, sometimes cheaply, about wars between the indigenous tribes in Nigeria. The latest being between Tiv and Fulani in the north central of the country. If you believe keeping the fulani and tiv together could bring war, then avoid keeping a Manchester United fan and Manchester city fan in the same room, that could erupt a volcano for christ sake. Cheers. -F |

npn: are you a student of a Nigerian university? if you are then i think your studentship should be withdrawn, how can you not know what SSANU means. This is dumbest question i have ever heard, it means (Senior Staff Association Of Nigerian University). It is a union of all senior staffs(teach/non teaching)in Nigerian universities. So if they strike it means your VC won't come to work and your HOD & all your senior lectures will not come to class. Aboki!Couldn't you explain to him without being aggressive? Idiot |
