[s][/s] Story for the gods, who dey ask you expository essay? how is it my my Biz with you residing in UK (washing plates and the dead smelling white men). Mind you I voted PMB and I would never wish him failure, not for even a microsecond. I was merely pointing attention to one of his campaign promises. Once again your craze Na for Ballington House Hospital since your case done pass yaba left!
Again, what I observed, the brain of an illiterate. Apparently, to your own timid and low-level thinking, Nigerians who reside or school abroad are involved in "Menial Jobs like Washing dishes and Dead Bodies". Not surprised that somebody with this assertion wants a quick resolution to Nigeria's predicament. Just resume the office and perform magic you promised lol. Probably due to lack of exposure on your part, would stop here.

That's bad, 6 month rotational exercise! Thought Buhari said he would end the insurgency in two month. No wonder he said he said his campaign manifesto isn't Qur'an or Bible..... And from the way they are planning, its likely the insurgency is going to last for the next four years. as for you Nasiru or wetin dem dey call u.. Your craze no be for hia, make the m.od.s call your caretaker for yaba left make dem con cari u b4 u run enta market.
Its Nasri. And r etard, for starters, am in the UK, your Nigerian banter (Yaba) is useless to me. By my observation, you're one of those bigot illiterates who raise opinions out of their asses. Looking to wind people and create a hostile environment. Keep on pouting about the new President's snail-like approach you say, take him word by word if you want, be my guest. If you hoping he fails so you can flex your muscles about what a great President Jonathan was, you're having a laugh. Remember you're part of this and your future is in this new government. You don't need school to lecture you about this, as I observed earlier, olodo.

PoliticsRe: Why Is There No Fuel Scarcity In The South East? by Nasri100(m): 12:44pm On May 24, 2015
Txonyi:
there is no fuel scarcity in s/e because of alot of things which include
1 good planning. in anambra where i stay, we buy fuel for 120 per litre if we spend much its 150 thats because we have a well planned distribution system devoid of govt interference.
2. we dont believe in fake "change" promises of apc so we do our things for us by us
3. we have an inbuilt survival panel which Chukwu himself programmed in us
4. we think outa d box just like someone rightly pointed out
5. we run refineries (call them illegal if you wish) which 9ja govt cant run just like someone said.
6. we know how to do biz and we got money so the marketers trust our ability to pay cash promptly
7. because we are from the east and thus wise! ha ha ha
that reminds me, while power supply shortage is reportedly experienced in 9ja, we in the east get am for light! tanx to our EEDC and while radio stathons are reportedly planning shuting down, our own radio biafra is busy expanding its signal strength!
biafra sure pass land of promise
Please bail me out. You saying there is 24 hours electricity supply in the east and there is cheap Fuel? Wow. Might aswell leave the UK judging by your assertion.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: 6 Reasons Why Discrimination Against 2.2 & 3rd Class Graduates Should Stop by Nasri100(m): 5:41pm On May 22, 2015
ugoonuoha:
While intensifying your networking, you might as well drop to 2:2, so you stand a better chance of getting in! *sarcasm alert* Honestly speaking, with the way we keep churning out graduates, some companies will soon start advertising for just 1st class grads only. Most times, the people that get the job from the whole pool of candidates are FC grads anyway. So better smart up. PS. I agree Masters can also give you an edge or at least be an equalizer for 2:2 folks.
Most likely and certain to graduate with 2:1 but 2:2 doesn't mean i would not get a decent job. Besides with my 2:1, no company owes me any job, so if they decide to pick first class graduates only Who cares? There are other ventures and things to exploit life. I like thinking outside the box and against the norms.

If people without education are making Money, a graduate unable to do that is an embarrassment.

ugoonuoha:
All these people rationalizing MEDIOCRITY are very silly. That you managed to secure a job with a 2:2 or 3rd class doesn't change the FACT that the job market is tougher for those without 1/2:1. For Christ's sake you can't even get in (most times) to prove your mettle.
O&G, FMCG, Banks, multinationals etc. ALL require 2:1 or better at ENTRY-LEVEL. Only govt agencies and 2nd tier coys compromise on that standard. To buttress the point ThoniaSlim made, opportunities abound for First Class grads esp. For example, I know Delta state offers automatic Overseas scholarship to all indigenes that graduate with First Class. Even FG PRESSID amongst others. That's if you choose to further your studies. Most Engrg/science related guys are snapped up by oil coys n paid Millions. So to all aspiring graduates, try and make a FIRST CLASS at all costs - it truly makes a world of difference.
I was told Networking is the ultimate goal in job hunting and am not even out of the system but going to graduate with a 2:1 yet. But reality is in contrast to your assertion. I have done a survey and realized that 70% of the people in the Gas sector and Physics-related jobs actually graduated with a 2:2 but due to influence of people and some Masters, they got the job. So its very confusing. Nigeria is actually fraud. I better intensify my networking practice and know people.

Like I alluded to our graduates are doing well at what they are trained to do(cannon fodder for the capitalist system) aka very insanely cheap labor.
They told me I carry shoulder up(former officer cadet pride)

I am telling you(alone civilian graduate to be) you de carry shoulder up

if I had listened I would not have sat home for almost 4years

I would be a boss(selling ordinary recharge card or kerosene)

instead I am a minion in a library trying to start kerosene biz that I could have done and been farming 4times what I am now so if you like keep saying you're a graduate so you won't do menial Jobs that pay na slave work like op own de wait una
Everything you have listed above is entrepreneurship...I never disputed that aim...We both got ourselves wrong. I thought you launched a scathing attack to graduates with 2:2 and below. Sorry about the mixup. I understand you now.

You must have come from an extremely backward state for them to prefer 2.2 and 3rd class. I am sure the jobs are low paying and possibly menial/ slave work. The 2.1 and first class graduates have all gone to the more developed states to seek for better opportunity.
What state is that? Zamfara, Borno, Yobe?
I don't agree with her post, but what about the Bankers, 2:1 collecting 24k per month. You didn't come across the topic on Nairaland?
Stop tagging Nigeria as a perfect country.

If my certificate (Industrial Physics 2:1) won't fetch me atleast 150k a month, (anything less is a farce), I would gladly become an entrepreneur, actually what I plan to do after school.

And I quoted you earlier because of your ludicrous assertion. I am not even out of the school system but advising people below 2:1 to seek menial jobs is quite deluded with no adequate proof or backup to it. Yeah they miss out on top-notch companies like Chevron, KPMG e.t.c. Aside that, you telling me other companies don't ask for 2:2 and below?

as a small business do you think you can afford the bandwith/server required to sift through this mass of job seekers without running your human resource budget aground

they should just accept their fate and enter farm or go learn handwork

its not fair but thats the life that we living(survival of the 2.1 and above)
its sad but it is what it is ,a fricking time bomb
Who should enter farm and work? The 2:1, 2:2 or 3rd class? Smh. Nigerian mentality. If you a graduate with a degree and cant pull your own weight, you an embarrassment.

CareerRe: HND Holders Have More Opportunities Than A B.sc 2.2. See Why.. by Nasri100(m): 4:39pm On May 14, 2015
LastProphet:
My brother got a 2.2 from a fed univ of tech, is a maths guru and read E/E but the school was too tough and even graduating with 3.0 CGPA was a feat of sorts in that school. Despite this the guy has hardly had interview opportunities in the last 5 yrs. Reason is that most people grad with 2.2 so employers just reduce number by asking for 2.1. Nowadays getting a 2.2 is a very bad thing I can tell you. Many people I know with 2.2 hardly get interviews. The edge for HND however is that in small firms where much professionalism isnt needed and where pay isnt too much, HND are now preferred NOWADAYS, but just like I said most of those places offer low pay. But on the other side, there are organizations where poly graduates can hardly enter AT ENTRY-LEVEL, and even if they do there are roles they are never given. Like multilateral organizations like world bank, UNDP, ADB, USAID, DFID, etc will hardly hire HND or even when they do they cannot sit with university grads. So there is a lesson for everybody to learn if you are not sentimental sha
Disagree. I have friends that graduated with 2:2 and are currently selecting jobs. Its all about networking. Besides, courses like Engineering, Physics and Maths actually have high demands of people in the second class category.
CareerRe: HND Holders Have More Opportunities Than A B.sc 2.2. See Why.. by Nasri100(m): 2:48pm On May 14, 2015
olaolu39:
With my experience so far in the job market, it is not a new thing that the opportunities created for an HND holder are getting wider than B.Sc holder who's got below a Upper second class.

Reason:
Many companies do not see a reason why they'd hire a graduate with high cost incurred when HND holders are there to give them a cost minimizing effort, more so a 2.2 graduate may not do any better.

Nowadays, Companies are found of hiring a contract staff whom HND holders are only invited/suitable, leaving behind the so called University graduates.

Somebody asked, 'why am I clamouring about having a University education in the first place??'

The truth:
1. There's always be 2.2 products no matter how.

2. Opportunities can be created with whatsoever qualifications you've got.

3. There is a job for everybody.

4. There is always a time for everybody's career breakthrough.

5. If with your certificate you are still stagnant, you may end up not getting a suiting job forever, no matter your qualification and grade.

6. If you have a 2.2 grade and people tell you how unlucky you would be in the job market and you believe them instead of devising your own strategy, it can even kill your own morale of achieving and aiming high.

Lesson:
1. If you are still in school, and people tell you it's not about grade, but people you know, and you believe them, I guess you might end up joining the groups of unemployed/under employed citizens.

2. You had better start thinking of how practicable your course can become when you graduate.

3. If you are a serving corps member and you are swayed away by the activities of NYSC, and not life afterwards, I pity you. The truth is that by the time you finish and just starting, you might end up frustrated, unlike if you start scouting as a corper, you won't be under any pressure.

......Tip of the iceberg by PstLao.

Expect more...My thought and findings
You lost me when you compared HND with B.Sc. You are really drunk.
