People don't seem to get that this young man is being abused. Discipline doesn't mean beatings, there are more effective way s to discipline a child without beatings not to talk of a 21 year old young man If the guy was assesed psychologically i would not be surprised to find psychological issues. He is an adult and he is at the stage of life where he should be learning how to stand up for himself and what he believes. This beatings could lead him in long run to accept emotional abusive relationships with people because thats what he is used to and he doesn't know better. It would also wreck havoc on his self esteem. 4 Likes |

KingAdegoke:While its true that governments can go great lengths to hide truth and cover up stories there is usually a reason why a government would take this line of action. I actually believe that not everything NASA says officially is true, there would definitely be cover stories but at this scale its just implausible. The very fact that he quotes a flat earth theory clearly shows brainwashing. We actually do not need pictures from space to know the earth is spherical. SSS 1 geography would give more than 10 different reasons the earth is spherical and pictures from space are just one of them and these 10 reasons can be independently observed. Believing and promulgating such absurd theories stifles progress and confuses young minds making them waste time on already answered questions instead of building upon what is already known. |

mdaada:Why are some of us africans stupid and believe clearly dumb conspiracy theories. To me it takes a different level of stupidity to think that moon landings never happened and that the earth is flat and that nasa is feeding us lies. I do not see how someone would think that a government would spend millions building a rocket just to deceive the general population. It doesn't make sense, for crying out loud there is a mountain of evidence that moon landings occoured, there are videos of astronauts on the moon, samples of rocks from the moon, videos of the saturn V rocket blasting off to space plus lots more evidence that man actually reached the moon. Technogies developed by NASA are even in mainstream use today e.g infrared thermometers and we have someone saying NASA is a scam. Its just absurd bordering on stupidity I don't even want to start on the flat earth theory because anyone that has a BASIC secondary school education should know that the earth is spherical and not flat and i am not ready to be anyone's geography tutor. 4 Likes |

frostland:Humans have literally gone nowhere in space as we have not scratched the surface of space. Our universe is so big our human minds cannot comprehend it. For instance there are more stars than all the grains of sand in the worlds beaches. Some of this stars if not all have planets orbiting round them. They may also have natural satellites(moons) orbiting round them. Try to now comprehend how many planets and moons our universe could contain then you would realize that alien life certainly exists we just haven't discovered it yet and we may never discover it. Our universe is just too big for us to be alone. If you are a creationist you can say that God always create things for a reason and there are so many planets created that God must have have created life on one. If you are an atheist who believes in evolution you'll also agree that the conditions that gave rise to life on earth aren't unique and must have repeated themselves in the billions of worlds we have in the universe. Its very possible that aliens have visited us and help shaped our civilization but there is really no scientific or mainstream accepted proof and much of the 'evidence' are by conspiracy theorists and are riddled with lies but some pieces of 'evidence' stand out but usually can't be verified. 2 Likes 1 Share |

There are some unanswered questions in this story How did the doctor determine that sexual intercourse occoured 2yrs ago and that the suspect was responsible. Its not as if they found his semen in the girls genital. Or did the doctor determine sexual intercourse occoured because she had an S.T.I. Then he would have to explain how he dated the infection to be 2 yrs old. Or did he determine sexual intercourse occoured because of a laceration. That should have healed by now and anything could have caused that. Just trying to think of how a doctor would determine that sexual intercourse occoured 2 yrs ago. The only way i can think of is that he asked the child but for a 3 yr old child to have good memory of what happened 2 yrs ago is not likely. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Fighter Jets Bomb Bokoharam Terrorist Location In Sambissa by natedalo: 12:48pm On Jul 08, 2016 |
heatflux:Even the us uses the cheapest means to take out targets. Thats why they have rockets, smart bombs, cruise missiles all of which can take out a target. For example the u.s won't use a cruise missile where a bomb would effectively take out the target. Reason being a cruise missile costs upwards of $600,000 and a bomb probably less than $20,000. The cruise missile would be reserved for high value well defended targets. The point is an armed force is supposed to fight in the cheapest and most effective way. In this case using fast jets built for air-air combat isn't effective neither is it cheap. The nigerian Mi-35 attack helicopters are better suited for this purpose. |

ChimaAdeoye:Nigerians hardly appreciate anything. The first step in development of an area is access roads. Roads open areas for commercial activities boosting trade which would still end up creating employment. If the youths are given money to set up farms and there are no roads to enable them convey their products to markets or roads for people to come and purchase their products what good has been done. 3 Likes |

There is nothing honourable about this guy judging by the way he insulted the girl. For crying out loud he said the girl's life was useless, called her ass fat, thats not the way a honourable guy behaves. My best guess is that the girl is very unattractive with low self esteem else she wouldn't still be offering herself after those insults. That is if this chat is real. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Boko Haram Releases First Beheading Video... by natedalo: 7:02pm On Jul 12, 2015 |
PStacks:First read up on the nigerian army before you begin to shower them with praises. Prior to this boko haram insurgency, there was a lot of decay in the nigerian army. Modern equipment was not being purchased to the extent that the army was reliant on the t-55 mbt which is a tank designed in the 1950s. Equipments that are critical for a modern army include tanks and artillery and what nigeria possessed prior to this boko haram insurgency were either too few or obsolete e.g t-55, vickers mk. III, palmyra. The most recent equipment the nigeria army had purchased before boko haram included the otokar cobra and the scorpion light tank. These two vehicles are lightly armoured and cannot even withstand .50 caliber machine gun rounds which are common with boko haram. I believe you can now see that the nigerian army is only effective against ak-47 wielding miscreants and not diehard machine gun wielding terrorists. The army is great only in name but not in action( hopefully that should change). Even currently the army is still very underpowered. The modern equipments purchased are quite few though it is actually these few equipments that turned the tide against boko haram prior to the elections. If you think i'm lying just compare the nigerian army with her contemporaries in africa like the algerian army, the egyptian army, even the former libyan army. You would see that all those awards were just flattery. NB: When i say luck, i mean it is not impossible but is highly improbable |
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Releases First Beheading Video... by natedalo: 8:11am On Jul 12, 2015 |
PStacks:The only weapon known to be in boko haram possession that can bring down an airplane is their 23mm cannons which are mounted on technicals as shown in their videos. A 23mm cannon without any fire control system is not effective at all in airdefense. It can only luckily shoot down low and slow flying aircraft and some if not all of those weapons have been captured by the army. That is the only weapon boko haram is known to possess with significant anti-air capability that may have shot down the airforce jet. I say may because investigations were not carried out and the jet could have crashed because of mechanical or systems failure. In reality boko haram is not a very effective fighting force. The only reason they gained so much territory is because of poor strategy and tactics employed by the nigerian army. Proof of this is the fact that boko haram was successfully routed when experienced technical advisers from SA were brought in to aid the army. |
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Releases First Beheading Video... by natedalo: 5:35am On Jul 12, 2015 |
PStacks:And this is the way ignorant and dumb people reason. Rocket propelled grenade that can take out a helicopter. SMH. In this modern age where information is freely available people still wallow in ignorance. Let me enlighten you. Unguided rockets which boko haram posseses are not effective in attacking helicopters. The rpg you mentioned is unguided and can only bring down a helicopter that is hovering and even this requires a huge amount of luck. The weapon used for shooting down helicopters is called a manportable air defense system (MANPADS). So far boko haram is not known to possess one in their inventory if not our helicopters would have be going down. Our helicopters in reality are not capable of being shot down by boko haram except when they deploy their 20mm cannons which seem to have all been captured by the army. 1 Like |
Education / Re: Labour Faults Moves To Cede Unity Schools To States by natedalo: 8:17am On Jul 10, 2015 |
twoondei:I attended a unity school, FGC Warri to be precise. The quality of education i obtained was equivalent to people that attended private schools in lagos where they pay more than 100,000 naira as school fees yet i didn't pay more than 5000 naira as school fees. The point i am making is that unity schools provide good quality education at an affordable price and privatising them would cause the cost of good quality education to increase which is not good for ordinary nigerians. 1 Like |
