See Chalobah's first contribution. Sublime |
Nihilist:Well Fabregas has not started, Matic is in the mix against Hull and we are ahead, comfortably. Individual efforts bailed us out today purely because it is the first time Chelsea ever lined up lack this. You can see the tactical indiscipline over the place. But this game had shown one thing, Mr Conte is very adaptable and he is learning quickly. |
Nihilist:What is the right team? |
Gooooalllll |
Nihilist:For real? |
Goooalllll |
donjazet:We are not not using full backs here. They are wrong backs - Moses and Alonso. |
Shiit! It's a 3-4-3 |
Change in tactics, Hazard will play through the middle I think. Not sure if it's a 4-4-2 |
Nihilist:I got that. ![]() On the topic. Unbelievable. Can you imagine a worse case of conflict of interest? I mean, it suggests that potentially, the dude might be prepared to sign a shiiit player, if the returns are more than securing a better player. That's messed up. |
donjazet:Perhaps it is the way you are wording your intentions (not like I understand it anyway). Everything you are typing seems like you are condoning what Sam did. At the very least, it looks like you are asking people not to talk about what he did because no one is clean. Either way, that's not how society should work. That's not how England works. |
Nihilist:How interesting indeed! |
Nihilist:Actually, for someone who runs a company, I should have known better. Considering the amount of income tax payable, it is impossible he on the permanent payroll of the FA. Actually, it would be stupid. You are spot on. |
lalaboi:I wan play Devil's advocate abeg. . . ![]() Why is everyone saying this £3m to £400k thing as if the £400k is small money? Don't get me wrong, I am by no means supporting his actions but I can see the logic. According to UK tax laws, £3m a year puts him in the 45% tax bracket. Net pay after tax and NI deductions comes to £133,380.57 per month. So Sam requested bungs equal to 3 months salary - one quarter of his tax-free yearly pay. So NO, the £400k is not as small as people think. He is wrong for taking bribe but considering figures, is he really greedy? ![]() ***Devil's Advocate things *** |
june20:Are these pictures of your actual works ? |
bigkesh:The words in bold letters, are genuine, incontrovertible evidence of a pre-disposition towards the arguments. It is all geared to make Emenalo the evil one even when facts stare people in the face. No be today we don dey argue these things. We were here when Chelsea submitted bids of up to £40m for Stones. There are several reports surrounding Everton's reasons for not selling and/or Stones' desire to join or not join Chelsea. Some quarters will make you believe that if Chelsea went up to £50m, Everton would have sold. I like to believe this as well (forget for a moment whether the deal makes sense or not). For the purpose of this discussion, let us focus. Who recommended that Chelsea stops at £40m? Emenalo? Come on fellas. Let's be factual for a minute and evaluate exactly when we came across this whole Emenalo debate. Did we arrive at this debate on the back of results from duly researched facts or have we been unconsciously influenced by the words that have been spoken the loudest? Those words above are made to look as though, Jose wanted good quality but someone decided against it and gave him dross instead. When in fact, Chelsea went out to try and make the deal happen. This was the case with Pogba and Marquinhos. Bids were tabled to respective clubs. It's in the papers. However, it seems if the deals went through, they would have been Jose's signings but as they didn't go through, it as Emenalo who decided to bring dross in instead. Why do we continue to tow this line? |
bigkesh:Locking up shop, that 11 will work. Offensively, apart from counter-attacking system, that is disaster waiting to happen. The only thing I blame Conte for is sticking with this 4-3-3. If he's going to fail, I will prefer he does so, doing what he knows how to do. I think we should be inventive and risk a 3-5-2 instead. Zouma Terry Azpili/Luiz Kante Chalobah Moses Fab Hazard Mitchy Costa |
Good work speaks for itself. I am very impressed. Do you have contact details to share? I want to consider engaging your services. |
bigkesh:Why is this point lost on everyone? I will say it for the umpteenth time. Fab is not the problem. Instead, the point is that Conte deserves an apology for raining curses on him and citing Fab as the solution. Simple. Fab may not be the problem but he isn't the solution. Simple. All other topics you guys are raising may be valid but doesn't address the crucifixion of Conte during the Liverpool game. If we took the opinion of 75% of people on here, Fab only needed to lace his boots and the rest will be history. As it turns out, that is not the case. To the other points, if you think Fab is a midfielder for a 4-4-2, then you are on a long thing.Conte is a 4-4-2 master. He can see this from a mile away. 3-5-2, I agree but Conte doesn't have the players for that either. And NO, Moses is not better than Willian. But that furthermore highlights the shiit we are in. Considering Willian is the most unproductive first 11 wide player in Chelsea in over 15 years. But many will make you believe the wing position is a luxury. Even you thought buying Mahrez was a waste of money, when I was saying Mahrez is one player we should splash on. I will try Alonso over Ivanovic but then again, I can understand why Conte doesn't feel the same. Conte did not request Alonso. Alonso was only brought in after bids to bring in his Plan A players failed. |
Nihilist:My point is valid because it does not say particularly about why Matic should not play but fundamentally in support of why Conte knows Fab cannot start. Difference! |
Chelseafan1:Bros abeg siddon. You didn't remember tactics on the day of the Liverpool game. You were screaming play Fabregas, play Fabregas, as though, that's all he needed to do to get back to winning ways. Emotional ninjas are screaming over the place, instead of keeping a level head and analyzing historically. When I was screaming two three, years ago that JM is killing Chelsea with his tactics and filling the team with uncreative elements, y'all were screaming pragmatism. Now you are hailing Pep. You forgot the same Pep said Chelsea needs 10 new players. In case you don't know, he meant creative players - the type JM never liked. Hailing Pep but failing to note that Conte is compromising on his principles - 3-5-2 & 4-4-2 - and playing 4-3-3 instead, to accommodate the crap we have. Sit down and watch carefully mate. |
nitlad:True but the way niggahs were willing to put Conte's head on a plate for not fielding Fab, you would have thought he was making a basic tactical error. I remember stating specifically that the whole idea it's to not concede 3 goals before Fab is able to create a chance. The man knows what he is doing. I just feel sorry for him because he allowed the cries arm-chair analysts get to him. |
When I was telling them to chill on the emotional sentiments of playing Fabregas, they said I was talking nonsense. Yes Oscar and Matic are not creative but the answer is not Fabregas. The answer is right in the middle and we don't have those players. And you can only blame one person for that. |
Bookmarked. Following diligently. |
Chelseafan1:No vex bros. But na you dey find fight na. I wouldn't have responded that way if you simply asked where I live. But you chose to employ snide remarks. |
Chelseafan1:Bros I have lived in the UK continuously for over 10 years. Why are you being silly? |
Ibime:Congratulations Ibime. She's gorgeous. May God Almighty watch over her and protect her. Welcome to Fatherhood. Send me invite if you will, make I come the ceremony. |
Nihilist:It's not true. This whole logic is false. Unfortunately, you already have followers. Everyone wants a Rashford. The odds of that happening is less than one in five years. The reality instead, is that Wes Brown will be part of a United team that wins the league. So will Johnny Evans. Pedro will be part of a Barcelona team that wins multiple trophies. Bertrand will be part of Chelsea team that wins the Champions League. Daniel Carvajal (forget his Bayer stint) was a product of the academy and now a part of the Champions league winning side and Super Cup. Saul Escaplez - Atletico Madrid, and so on. Last time I checked, these are not Messi level players, neither did any of them have a Rashford-esque entrance. This, in reality, is how it works. Because the whole concept of youth is that instead of wasting £20m on Baba Rahman, you can play Nathan Ake or Jay Da Silva for free without significantly weakening the team by declining to pursue that deal. That you can have Nathaniel Chalobah in the team, doing a job with few appearances here and there, and save 80k per week for a few years on Mikel. This is the essence of youth and this is the reality. And the concept is not limited to feeder teams. Once in 10 years, we'll probably be blessed with a Zidane or an Iniesta. But that's not the essence. Most times, you get the odd youth who plays for 3, 4 years. Saves the club money from making stoopid purchases. These players eventually get pushed out by competition and the need to bring in a better player. Regarding the slots for the young players - oh yes they already exist. Look up the laws regulation govering HG players. While it isn't cast in stone that they have to be from the Academy, it does not make financial sense for clubs to fill these slots with purchased players. The difference here is that we don't just give game time to those players. |
Nihilist:I believe that's where our argument comes from - the unconscious desire for young players to be 'special'. Not every kid from the academy is going to be a Rashford or a Messi on their debut; take the world by storm, make a big announcement and go on to super stardom thereafter. In reality, 95% of young players are expected to be the "in-betweeners" - right inside the spectrum of special and utter dross. Most of them are expected to come in and just do the basics right. Take your chance, look decent, don't look out of place, don't make stupid mistakes, don't overplay and do not be lazy. Shikena! With hard work comes consistency. With talent along with the confidence derived from the support, you get set apart from your peers. However, there has to be a system in place that allows you to come in and "do the basics right" in the first place; rather than current expectation of being 'special' out of the blocks. This in reality means that a handful of spots is kept specifically in the team, for young players. They will be allowed to come in and make mistakes but ensure they learn from it. Some will grab the chance, most wouldn't. Some will dash out straight out of the blocks but most you will have to persist with. What is certain, is that we will never find out what could be, if that initial chance and persistence is absent. Without this system, we will continue to go round in circles on this topic. |
Chalobah did not even display 70% of what he is capable of. I have watched him for years. You see his technique on the ball? You know right away that is one proper footballer. Thank God he came in and had the composure to play, cos what RLC did, made an extremely bad show for the "Play the Youth" campaign. Give his place to the next in line and send him on loan (It looks like he will never recover from this laziness). And hell, there are loads of them queueing up to take that place. Marios Pasalic/Lewis Baker/Jeremie Boga/Musonda to begin with. Hell even Thorgan Hazard has a buy-back clause. That attitude is already in his way of making it ever since he signed his million pound contract. The same attitude Islam Feruz take spoil im career after dem give am British passport. Some players will have a bundle of talent but I suppose a Ravel Morrison will always be a Ravel Morrison. |
