darefestus: I honestly believe Nateevs and Coogar have been Vindicated by the performance today..Don't be surprised to see the biggest argument over Torres breakout even when he scores. Good thing we didn't score one more. The brigade would have turned up subtracting his goals and attempting to suggest that we could have won without his goals. The opposition's wall is built so high, you can barely make a case for Torres even when it makes perfect sense. I commented on the increase of vertical passes I have seen since Benitez took over. Especially over the last 3 games with attempts to release Torres early on goal. It was met with stiff resistance, with claims nothing has changed in the way we play. It's all a strategic design to provide a ready-made excuse to blame Torres even if he finds scoring form as though he has chosen not to score all the while. |
jackbauersballs: Perhaps Torres isn't getting the service he wants, but surely HE should adapt to fit the team and NOT the other way round: jackbauersballs: Juan Mata says: "With Drogba we were conditioned to play in a certain way. . |
I don't need to be referred to any post as an explanation of what you said. I am basing my opinion on the back of what you said. According to you it is "NOT A GIVEN" that Torres will score against Sunderland. You then cannot at the same time conclude that Indeed if he doesn't score against Sunderland, then he is well and truly finished.... |
jackbauersballs: The upcoming game against Sunderland will provide a big opportunity for Torres to build on his confidence following his good showing earlier this week...If you want to make a case of "an expected event" - "NOT GIVEN" as you put it - then you have to withdraw this quoted statement. You can make both points of view co-exist within the same interpretation. Also, sometimes your argument seems as though any striker incapable of scoring against Sunderland is rubbish. It may not be what you set out to do but it's turned out to be that all your points are not within the same context. What you are now trying to do is make them all seem like the same thing. They aren't. |
dyabman: @CoogarI don't think anyone is arguing that in not scoring goals over an extended period of time, a striker's confidence suffers a hit. However, there's a reason he got there in the first place. How do you help him get his confidence back though? One problem we have now is that people have taken his dearth in confidence as a lack of ability which is clearly wrong. . We are not talking about a dude who got plucked out of some inferior league. To help him get back, there will be constant confidence-boosting sessions outside the pitch and on the pitch, endeavour to create chances, more chances than he may need. We will accept that because of his shattered confidence, he will lose glaring chances many times. Yes patience is waning but we persist with a style that aims at getting the best out of him. It's funny how the same people who believe his confidence is gone agree that creating an average of only 2 chances in a game is enough for him to score. If Torres ever gets back scoring, I am waiting patiently to see what reasons folks will attribute it to. |
Here's hoping Torres gets a goal against Sunderland. Albeit against a very very poor side in Nordsjaelland, I saw remarkable improvements in the intensity of play and more importantly, the willingness to release the ball early in the final third as evidenced by the quick pass from Moses to Torres for the first goal. Before then, he was through on goal but was adjudged offside. I am hoping that this is actually a deliberate attempt at play rather exposure of extreme weakness of the opposition (not that weakness of the opponent is no contributing factor). I want to see the directness in play witnessed mid-week, the pressing, intensity and very crucially, the increase in the number of vertical passes in the final third. If we can keep up this elements of our play against any calibre of opposition, we will win games and we will get Torres scoring. Let's see how tomorrow unfolds. |
BlueDiva: 50 million pounds isn't 5,000 pounds.Let him justify it!One of the things that riles me up. So Roman has a blood rush to the brain and buys Darren Bent for £60m, you would expect Darren Bent to justify £60m right? |
OMO IBO: torres and his bloody obnoxious i-used-to-be-a-prolific-striker has seen off 3 managers. . . 3 bloody managers. This is news. As a matter of interest, who are these managers? |
BlueDiva: Actually, Torres' goals are inconsequential. Not even the staunchest fans of Torres will be wetting themselves over 2 goals against arguably the worst side in the league and yes you are right that we all want to see him score winning goals and important ones that define our status. However, with regards to Torres, it's futile to keep arguing about what goals are of important or not considering the fact that he is coming from a low place. I just want to a vivid line drawn right in between stark hate for Torres and dislike for him not fulfilling his role. The latter attitude hopes he gets back and do the business. The former doesn't want to see his guts, regardless. For all the arguing about the unimportance of the goal, I just like to have seen what sort of reaction Torres would be greeted with had he been presented with the same opportunities to go 2-0 up, he fluffed it, Nordsjaelland came back into the game, we drew and then Juve lost. |
Now Torres goals are inconsequential after we lost eh? When we were all hoping Sharktar wins, the goal were important. Let's not pretend that we do not know that Torres scoring goals is in everyone's interest. For someone's who suffered a massive drought in goals and confidence, it's important that he gets goals however he can and in any game he can. There is nothing to suggest that any strikers bought in January 'WILL' hit the ground running. As we are out of the CL, the primary focus should be a top four finish at the very least and Torres scoring goals, irrespective of the strength of the opposition is inconsequential at this moment in time. ----------------------------------------------------- I see the main focus of debates being ignored again for the pleasure of clutching at straws and meaningless pleasantries. Maybe this is "the real thing" . . It never ends does it? |
dayokanu: Ope oooooooooooooHehehe. Goal keeper error? Nothing to do with the brilliant pass by Moses, the pace Torres picks up to get on to that, not his initial attempt to lob the ball but a goalie error. Well. . . |
coogar: mark hughes didn't play him too - same as hodgsonStill counting. . . |
OMO IBO: Remember studge at Bolton?Which is exactly the problem I think Sturridge has. Apart from the known fact that Sturridge never justifies his chances in terms of team play, there are other things about Sturridge that managers see that we don't. Benitez will be the third Chelsea manager who refuses to play Sturridge. Ancellotti didn't, RDM didn't. |
BlueDiva: CFC has a 90% chance of being kicked out today.I am hoping for a lot of luck. Hopefully, Sharktar can do us a favour. If we don't make it, winning the Europa will not be bad like you said. It's still a trophy. |
dayokanu: Like i told you clutching onto "Week in Week out" Isn't football analysis. When it comes to the real thing you are always found wanting\Clutching at straws eh! The obvious thing you do when you have no answer. You spent the entire night yesterday telling how I posted August instead of July. I told you I admitted my error. You rode on it till the early hours of the morning. Now you complain about clutching at straws? How you never feel embarrassed beats my imagination. Poor you! If only there was a link to acquit you of sheer stooopidity, we would have seen bold fonts on here and a barrage of insults. However, there's none. You are misinforming people. That JM fit 9 untouchables into his squad every week. Peddling false info and stats and presenting it as facts. When I tell you it is tactically impossible to fit those 4 players into a JM 4-3-3, you argued and rushed to the internet because you assumed you found an outlet. I called you out immediately, instead of apologizing that you rushed to conclude, you are hiding. All because you saw the squad list. Yet you talk about "the real thing" . . . Are you forking kidding me? This is simple display of tactical nous where it matters and you already fumbled. Yet you talk about the real thing. What phucking real thing? I didn't even need to think it twice. I called it immediately while you were busy celebrating with bold fonts. Now it's all gone quiet. And you beg me not to clutch at straws. |
dayokanu: Every opinion you had are always baseless and always waiting for someone to come back it up.Follow your own conviction and back yourself up. How does starts = games? When did I say Hazard has 29 starts for Chelsea? Can you verify that 9 untouchables play in Jose's team WEEK IN WEEK OUT? Can you verify that Chelsea played a 4-3-3 against United? Answer. ------------------------------------------------------- It is evident once again that you have no back up for your claim and you are hiding again. The moment you smell an opening, you are here with a link. No stats can back up your claim. How did JM play 9 untouchables in his team week in week out? |
Ninja why are you being salty about this? I even put two smileys to show that it was said in good spirit It was just my opinion so I don't know why you dey form Adams Oshiomhole for here Are you the only Chelsea fan here? If you no wan pay homage na by force? Even Mystikal said only Ibime is making sense here those where his words not mine Ahh so you are the one that hasn't got an awful lot very very wrong right?
It's become apparent that you and I cannot have a conversation. Do I have to keep explaining this to you? What is the difference between what Mystical said and I saying Ibime is a very intelligent poster and gets many things right? |
Nateevs has no conviction about anything but he was wrong on 1. Lampard 2. AVB 3. RDM 4. Torres. Yet he doesn't have conviction about anything. You see what happens when someone talks too much? |
dayokanu: Thats the thing, Nateevs never has a conviction about anything. Ask him what he thinks about anything, He repeats what ever rubbish coogar saysYou have come alive as soon as you sensed an opening and the bold fronts are now active. When you despeartely needed a way out and you were asking me to define "untouchables", you found no link, no bold fonts. Suddenly you think you have found something. So I ask you another question can you confirm that Jose Muorinho played a 4-3-3 against Manchester United. As always, you will find no answer. You will come back with bold fonts. How many questions have you evaded in 24hours now? How does starts = games? When did I say Hazard has 29 starts for Chelsea? Can you verify that 9 untouchables play in Jose's team WEEK IN WEEK OUT? Can you verify that Chelsea played a 4-3-3 against United? Watch the bold fonts come out. |
Are you mad cause I didn't pick your post?? you are the only person I see complaining hereNobody gets it right all the time and he did own up to his comments on Drogba. Besides where you on Drogba's side? You have to admit his assessment on this Chelsea team was spot on or isn't it what we are seeing now?
That's just plain childish mate. I was thinking we could have a mature discussion here. For many of the spats we have on here, I still had the humility to say in my post that Ibime is a very intelligent poster. For you to come back with me being angry about what not is way out of line. The reason why I tackled your post was in reference to you asking us to pay homage. Then going ahead to qualify the depth of the ingenuity with a proverb. Someone has to say it's OTT stuff. Especially as Ibime, though very astute, has got an awful long very very wrong. |
dayokanu: I know when it comes to real football analysis you would be found wanting but when it comes to repeating Week in Week out thats where Nateevs analysis starts and end.Hehehehe. Did JM play a 4-3-3 on that day? There's your answer. Based on the fact that on the balance of the season, JM played a 4-3-3, it is impossible to fit all four players into JM'S 4-3-3 WEEK IN WEEK OUT Explain how you think JM fitted 9 untouchables in the team WEEK IN WEEK OUT You are in no position of criticism. How you manage to continue beats my imagination. You only go for quotes when you see an opening. I have asked you multiple times. There's no stat alive to back up your claim that the 9 untouchables played WEEK IN WEEK OUT. So you began hiding. The moment you find an opening, you rush to the internet. Meanwhile, you are leaving the bone of contention unattended. How can Ashley 21 apps and Ballack 23 apps in the 06/07 season have played WEEK IN WEEK OUT, even though Jose said they were untouchables? That is your EXAM. |
Why don't you bring out what he said since the Big Bang? He called Chelsea's deficiencies and sounded the alarm bells early when some of you ninjas where getting boners about Mazacar and how they would combine with Torres
Everybody body gets things right once in a while dude. Every single fan on here has said at least one thing right. The fact that you stumble on what Ibime said that came right is no award for best poster. Ibime is an intelligent guy. Very intelligent poster. I will be the first to admit he gets things right. There are however, so many things he got and gets very wrong just like anyone. It doesn't matter when it occurred. There's no justification for what you said. |
dayokanu: Oh If this isnt the definition of stupidd I wonder what is.Hehehe. You are still hiding. Let's go back to the first question. What percentage of appearances would a player need to qualify as one who plays WEEK IN WEEK OUT? Jose did not talk about how frequently they played even though he called them untouchables. Let's analyse your stupidity. 06/07 was the only time those 9 players all played under JM. In 06/07, Lampard had 36 apps in the league, Essien had 36 apps. Ashley had 21 apps, Ballack had 23 apps. Jose knows these stats and will not stoopidly say that his 9 untouchables played WEEK IN WEEK OUT In-fact, tactically speaking, it was impossible to fit Ballack, Essien, Makalele and Lampard all into JM's 4-3-3. So that immediately flaws your phoolish logic. The reason Essien had many caps in that season was that he played at RB for a long period. This makes your whole assertion very inconsistent. So I want you to prove how to came about the fact that Jose had 9 untouchables in his side WEEK WEEK OUT Simple requirement. |
What's with the subliminals? Are you illuminati? How can anyone with common sense call sending Lukaku to West Brom an RDM failing when we don't know who even made the call in the first place?? I'm not even Anti-Emenalo and I also don't get this camp talk. Lukaku is an EPL greenhorn at 19 makes perfect sense to send him on loan
Bros take it easy. I used your post to forward a message. My response had nothing at all to do with you. |
Ibime is an OG! So you said this as far back as May? You ninjas should pay homage or pay the doctor Truly what an old man sees sitting down a young man would climb the Himalayas and not see it
Yeah yeah. He saw this as far back as 2008. Lemme spell it out: Drogba's touch is not up to league 2 level! I have said it before and Ill say it again, Drogba without stamina is as useless as John Carew.Ibime is an OG! We should pay homeage. ![]() |
dayokanu: Is this not a moronic thing to say. I have asked what do you interprete Joses comment to be, you cant say it but claimed I falsified his comments and intentions? Is that not stupidd even looking at it from your moronic prism?Jose said many things. Jose says things for the media, things to spite other managers, things to spite his own players. So what Jose says about untouchables does not matter. There is nothing complicated about what is being asked. Tell us how you came about the fact Jose had 9 untouchables in his team WEEK IN WEEK OUT!. Jose never said he had 9 untouchables in his team week in week out. If you add that, you have to have the baalls to back it up. |
dayokanu: Like Coogar has attempted to do, Can you interprete what Jose meant by the 9 untouchables. Assuming you can think for yourself or should we take coogars thoughts as yours?I have to remind you that you have misinformed us all, goofed, lied, falsified Jose's intentions and comments, that you've added your piece to the whole story and then I have to help you interpret what "9 untouchables" means? Are you being deliberately thick? Whether Jose had 9 untouchables is not the issue. The issue is your exaggerated claim that he had them in the team week in week out. So I ask you to be a gentleman and back up your claims. How difficult can this be? |
dayokanu: Jose Mourinho said he has Untouchables in December 2006Hehehehe. Evasive tactics. Come back here and list the 9 untouchables who played in the team week in week out and quit your endless attempts at defining untouchables. Everyone is fully aware of what JM said. You have gone a step further by saying they play week in week out. To verify, you cannot. You are hiding from place to place and quoting others for cover. It's another goof from you. Same way you didn't now until yesterday night, the difference between "starts and games" dayokanu:Come back and verify. |
what is wrong with sending a 19 year old ninja on loan at a club like Chelsea. People are too dimwitted to realize that it could actually be a blessing in disguise as he would wind up with more playing time and would return a better player most likely! Even if he had stayed where is the playing time he woulda had as we all know about RA's man crush on Torres! Even Sturridge that's higher up the pecking order has hardly had playing time so where does hope lie for Lukaku?
Hmmm! According to mofos, Emenalo was a fool for sending Lukaku out on loan and buying Moses. Now we have someone from the same camp who believes that actually, it was the right move. Well unless he's not in the same camp. Or it could just be that mofos don't know what they are yarn. . . . again! |
dayokanu: Is it that Nateevs cant think for himself that you have to verbalize what he is thinking for him??I am sure if I took someone out of a mental institution right now, he will decipher the question I have asked repeatedly in only a few seconds. Let me indulge you. Yes Muorinho said he had untouchables. What I want you to verify is that dayokanu:Any clearer now? Let's try this again! |
dayokanu: What kind of verification are you looking for? That Jose Mourinho called 9 players untouchables or what? The verification that dayokanu:Verify Please. And also that dayokanu: |
dayokanu: Is it hard for you to state what your point is? Or are you telling us that you have no Point? My point is this. dayokanu:Verify your claim. Simple. |
