Ibime: So this is what you wanted to say all along. There's no cover dude. There were tons of argument on here about what Roman wants. It started by me saying that I hope all can see now that by delaying the inevitable appointment of RDM is reason enough to show that what Roman wants is not the holy grail and is more concerned about how what is won. This sparked off a series of debates. I argued that RDM though deserves a chance but on the back of how the CL was won, does not deserve "the job". I do not understand your desire to erase an event that happened just so you can suit your argument and call it a cover. I have been consistent. -------------- With respect to the midfield. I did point out the midfield was working but it didn't elude me that there was no tactical and methodical way to our attack and that we were just relying on the individual brilliance of OMH (Something Coogar and Debo have repeated many times). In spite of winning the CL, this will eventually be RDM's failing. I talked about this consistently at the beginning of the season. Instead, you said I was nitpicking and making unnecessary noise as it was only preseason. When the results started coming in, you turned to us and called us fools and impatient id10ts and hailed RDM as a "common-sense manager". Now we suffer a dip in form and suddenly it's the players' fault, it's Emenalo's fault, it's Torres fault. What happened to the common-sense? Are you suggesting RDM reads this forum, saw my posts and decided to play what I suggested? I don't understand the focus of your argument. |
Ibime: huh? What do you mean you all figured it out? Do you need to go and review all the spats with Debo and BlueDiva? I don't know what you mean Ibime. Regarding Roman's decision, in the summer and now, I wish I could say he isn't justified. |
BlueDiva: Roman didn't get this far in life by being sentimental.Torres is reportedly on a £155,000 a week salary for 5 years. He's only spent 2 of the contract. You cannot move him because no one will pay his wages. He won't go on loan because Chelsea will effectively be paying a large chunk of his wages. Torres is not going anywhere soon. |
Well. I think we all see now why RDM was giving a year's contract with a year's option. Roman is ruthless. There were a lot of heated debates on here with Debosky, Diva and Ibime that RDM's feat in the CL earned him an appointment, I argued conversely that the delay in giving him the position is evidence that the club is not convinced on the tactical ingenuity employed in winning. If anything, RDM was given the job because a contrary decision would have been bad PR for the club. If what you all thought was right, then RDM reserves the right to a year of fooling around in-spite any bad results. RDM's response to back-to-back interviews told you all you need to know. I don't think this is a shock decision. The writing was always on the wall. He was never a Roman choice. RDM just needed to not get a few things right and that will be it. |
Ibime: He balances attack and defence perfectly as seen against Napoli and Spurs. I would rather look at Emenalo who puts the squad together. You can read all ma posts in July what I thought about the squad, not this reactionary dem say dem say wey boys dey yarn. Earlier in the season RDM did his best to balance the team but some guys nearly tore his head off.I still cannot believe how you continually refer to RDM's ability to manage a team, formulate a system of attack and defense on the back of two games from last season - Napoli and Spurs. You cannot defend a manager on the back of 2 games. It's wrong. We are talking about a full season where numerous decisions have to be made. We have seen this before. Avram Grant took Chelsea to the final of the CL after JM was fired. Imagine someone tells you AG knows how to balance attack and defense because of a short spell at Chelsea. Also, it's time to quit this Emenalo thing. RDM will live and die by the decisions he makes. Emenalo has got nothing to do with this. |
dayokanu: This can be linked to RDM's rookie and stuupid decision to leave his teams attack in the hands of TorresDayo, there are far more things than Torres' form. Torres is not the first striker to not hit form in a team. RDM had Sturridge, Moses and could even do with one young player at times. Far from a striker's problem is the ability to organise the defence which historically, RDM is not renowned for. While many camped behind RDM, my opinion was that camping 11 men behind the ball is no evidence of tactical nous. When the chips are down, only those who can formulate a method of attack and defence will scale through - Torres or not. |
OMO IBO: Actually, we played better without dud.We played well? Christ! We did not win and as many will say, that's what matters. We DID NOT play well. Like I said at the beginning of the season, the jury is still out on RDM. The real tests will come when we start dropping points, losing winnable games and we have to pick ourselves up and find form. It's all well and easy taking over when the team is at rock bottom. Now there will be fights, mumblings, blame and defiance from players. Let's see how it all unfolds. ------------- |
debosky: No Torres for most of the game. . . .abeg someone should come and tell me how well Chelski performed in his absence.Bet you would have seen Dayo all over these pages. |
That's 4 clear chances we've missed. |
Ramires slipping at the wrong moment. |
The question is if he starts slowly would he be given time to bed in? I don't mean Torres time but significant time nonetheless. I agree that the price might be too hefty but he justified it at Athletico who says he can't do it here? The guy is the total package. Takes freekicks, penalties and is not afraid to get physical exact opposite of Torres
Everything you say is on point. However up until the time a club £50m for your services, you have no obligation to perform. Falcao will be walking into Chelsea with two kinds of pressure. 1. Justifying the price tag - hence hit the ground running. 2. The constant desire to stay consistent. My point is, until the very moment, Falcao has never had the need to impress. He does so freely. AS you stated and as true with Sheva and Torres before him, it was never the lack of ability to score goals. If he (Falcao) can surpass mental hurdle, he can be anything he desires. Nothing is sure. |
dayokanu: Chelsea at the moment play the most fluid midfield in the league and it's stupid to compare Chelsea of MAZACAR with Chelsea of Lampard Essen Ballack and Malouda. This is a good piece of quote. Very useful for an inevitable verbal tussle in the foreseeable future. |
How can you compare Sheva to Torres? How much playing time did Sheva have? Sheva was dire but I don't think he was as bad as Torres there was never a time when Sheva had sole ownership of the forward position like Torres is having now Shevchenko 9 goals in 48 games Torres 11 goals in 58 games Plus Torres was 3 years younger and still was supposedly in his prime when bought
I didn't. I am just drawing parallels with events leading up to a Chelsea big-money transfer. Sheva and Torres both had problems with their scoring form in the few months preceding their big money transfer to Chelsea. I hope Falcao's drought ends pretty soon. Personally though, I hope we never buy him. The figures quoted are just too much a risk and it defies all logic that's been followed regarding Chelsea's new transfer policy. Plus there's no guarantee he will do well. I cannot spend the next 3 years of Dayo on these pages have a Falcao moment after each game. ![]() |
Lol its not from lack of trying tho. Saw a bit of the game but had to switch to F1
You think Sheva and Torres' decline in form as happened from lack of trying? |
Well in typical Chelsea style, as news about Falcao to Chelsea gathers pace, Falcao suffers a little drought. |
BlueDiva: You no longer support Assanal? You see what I mean? I had no idea. |
Google is your friend who una face for May 19?
Bros I don't need to try to remember May 19th. I just don't remember playing Arsenal that day? |
BlueDiva: It took you almost 2 years to realize that. Not quite. A lot of the exchanges between both sides of support centered around Torres ability or lack of. This is the point where I come into the argument. I have never exempted the obvious case of a mental hurdle. |
OMO IBO: Maybe I just woke up. . . ![]() |
So you have finally seen the light Kunta Kinte that Torres is actually the problem ![]() I want yall to qualify so we can pay you back for May 19. I would be gutted if yall fail to advance
I am not sure I have been paying much attention. What camp are you with these days? |
Okay. My point of view on Torres. I still believe very strongly that it isn't the inability to time runs and run on the back of the last defender that is the problem. The case will be overstated if we post that video again of the liverpool Torres again. Torres' problem is immensely "mental". A little finesse will do (like the Sturridge exhibits) but DD didn't have finesse. I will have to be insane if I do not accept the views of the anti-Torres camp about shots per minute of play. There are many times in the past Torres could have got the shot out but he hesitates. I also believe that Torres could use a little more of the right runs. Torres' problem can only be solved by Torres himself. |
The game in Turin cannot afford passengers abeg. Chelsea need at least a draw else it could be disaster and I think a draw is doable as Juve's attack is not that sharp they really have no consistency from either Vucinic,Asamoah,Giovinco or Matri so long as yall don't give them gifts in the defence
At what point did A40 begin having sympathetic emotions towards Chelsea by the way? |
FBS: you talk but you aint saying nothing. olodo.Hehehehe. Phuck me!!! Your opinion? Ninjah are you freaking kidding me? Let me tell you those who have an opinion: - Coogar, Debo, Ibime, Dayo, BlueDiva, Ritchboy etc. For all I care, I might say a st.upid thing all the time but the rights of scolding only belong to the intellectually astute. Those who have "opinions". I'll rather face my death than pay attention to the ramblings of a self glorifying yob who sits on the fence - always! Talking to me about the truth. . Ninjah Please! |
dayokanu: How far with FernandudJeez! It's amazing how much time you devote to this. Every single day, you have nothing else to talk about. Even Chelsea fans have less to say. For the record, someone signed in on my PC. |
FBS: the truth is bitter. take it like it is typical black man.Hehehehe. Truth? Ninjah Please! Truth from a guy who never has an opinion! Delusions of grandeur. |
FBS: Is you talking about nateevs? dude knows zero about football aside blowing long useless grammar and ranting about FFPTypical black man! His views are different from mine, then he knows nothing. |
Ah! your posts are becoming shorter. Good! When every time I talk about this season, I have called it a rebuilding one, in that same season, you think I will stick my neck out and say "this will happen"?. . . You are the one clutching at straws mate. |
sleekdot: Mr nateevs is denying what he said initially under the guise that he said it in August and not last season, Tell him thats an idiotic place to start from.Ogbeni. He will get chances from the intelligence of Mata, Oscar and Hazard. I did not say when. He will score goals from the chances he gets, I did not say how many. I did go on and say, those goals, when he scores them are capable of regenerating the Liverpool Torres. What explanation do I owe you? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everytime I have mentioned Torres this season, I have never stuck my neck out to say this will happen. Now you are trying desperately to find dirt, when I littered caveats all over the place. Dude, there's nothing to admit. |
Ibime: Niggas like speaking EnglishDumb ass! If I "anticipate" something, it means I "said it will happen". I did say I will pass judgement on Torres after he pairs with Mata and Sturridge. You said I said "IT WILL GO WELL" . . You searched my posts to 2010, you cannot find anything and now are claiming I am speaking English. Amadioha fire your fat ass. Same way you claimed I said Lamps was to blame for the Juve goal instead of Mikel. I bet you looked that up too and can't find a quote. Find where I said Torres "WILL FIND FORM" with Mata and Sturridge. Now you resort to "me said this", "he said that" when simple link will prove it. Phucking, slimy, fat bootlicking liar. -------------------------------------------------------- How's RDM doing with his best tactical switch of Ramires? He undid his best tactical move or is that you spewing garbage as usual? |
sleekdot: I have provided proof of what you said and its quite pedantic to say I said it in August and not May? Are you serious? This is as low as it can get especially when the argument wasnt about the time frame but about the statement made. Like they say in accounting substance over formDude I am going to get really ugly with you. Go and read where and how I used "is capable of" and stop asking me silly questions. If you drive dangerously, it "is capable of causing death". You drove dangerously, it didn't cause death and you are now asking me Nateevs "why didn't I die?". Are you reading your own posts? |
sleekdot: So why isnt Torres delivering "What he is capable of" despite having the intelligent midfield you gushed about? And I will gladly refer you to to this. . . nateevs: I am still waiting for you to tell me what you saw last season. When you do, I will respond to that and then to this.It seems you fail to grasp simple things. You cannot just run your mouth and say someone said something without having the balls to back it up if there is proof. Failure to do that, you must have the humility to apologize for your feeble attempt at slander especially when I gave you a chance redress your point of view. Now you expect me to respond to you? You have to be kidding me. |
sleekdot: So Nateevs defence is based on that he said it in August and not last season. My head will blow out if I have to explain to you again. 1. I didn't say anything last season. 2. What you said I said bears no resemblance to what you posted, as evidenced by the phrase "is capable of". How better can I explain this to you? |
