Incredible sense of awareness and technique to execute the speed of thought. |
Jesus what a goal! Incredible. |
sleekdot: Still waiting for Nateevs to explain hisI am still waiting for you to tell me what you saw last season. When you do, I will respond to that and then to this. If you don't, come back and state here that you made a mistake and you were wrong, then I will will deal with your new requests. |
Hehehehe. Dude's spending the night in my history. He's now in 2011. |
Ibime: Of course, they were playing against Andre Wisdom, Suso and Sterling and bunch of no-hopers. Thats why Lamps murked em in FA Cup shebi.Who were they playing against? Spearing, Henderson, Martin Kelly, Rodriguez, Jonjo Shelvey? |
Hehehe. So this proves what? That I said Mata and Sturridge "WILL MAKE TORRES BETTER"? You are a step behind. I thought you didn't have time. Meanwhile you were searching the globe for my posts. I know what it means to find posts that match your argument. You have been at this for ages. Keep searching. |
BlueDiva: Even a Chelsea legend has spoken.Anyone can say anything. Last season, Frank Leboeuf said on talksport that Chelsea will not win a trophy! |
coogar: except that patrick collins did not remember liverpool won their last 2 league fixtures @ the bridge, general lampard played then and contributed nothing! without him this season, they gained a point - food for thought!Yeah! Patrick Collins suffers from selective retention. |
sleekdot: So the cop out was that I said last season instead of this season? You are laughable. When I put the two statements one on top of the other and tell you that the two do not resemble each other, you still think the cop out is last season. Can you not read? My initial response to you highlighted the the period we signed Oscar and Hazard and the unlikely scenario of what you are alleging. You had a chance to withdraw. You didn't. You went through history hoping you'll find something. To the main point. Dude I am sorry if cannot read the all important phrase - "is capable of" - and this is exactly what I referred to in my initial response to you that I may mention potential but you are now saying I said "HE WILL SCORE". It's shocking that you cannot see that in that sentence, I have absolved myself of blame if Torres does not go on and score. What's what is that you are posting this as fact. You will not find any post claiming what you suggest. You, Diggz and the fat boot-licking liar. |
Heheheheheheheh. This is totally laughable. Dude stop cracking me up. I am falling off my chair in awe at extreme stoopidity that leads one to come to a conclusion that this statememnt. . . What Torres did against Newcastle to win the penalty that Hazard scored is very reminiscent of goals No 12 and 15 in the video posted above. When I see Torres in a blue shirt having the confidence to pull that off, I know he is finding his feet. Torres will get a lot of chances from the football intelligence of Hazard, Marin, Oscar, Mata but what is far more important is that the goals he scores from the sheer amount of chances created is capable of bringing back the Torres of old that creates chances for himself - The Liverpool Torres. bares in any way, shape, or form, a resemblance to . . . Last season you told us to wait till Hazard, mata and oscar play behind Torres before we see the goalscoring power of Fernando Torres ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Are you freaking kidding me? Now you carefully drop a caveat in there, asking me to put a spin on it when you have realised yourself that what you have said I said is not what you found. Dude stop please! First you said I said so "LAST SEASON". . . Now you requesting that I don't put a spin on it. Do you guys not need a rest? |
sleekdot: So no be only me see amTalk is cheap. What did you see? Tell me exactly what you saw, find the post. |
Ibime: [b]You said we would be better off without Lamps,OK. It's time to tackle this head-on even if it means I leave work late. I am waiting. Find the post where I said we will be better off without Lamps. |
sleekdot: Nateevs I was going to ask youI see this thing running around a lot. Can you please remind me of the post that you saw this? There are many things Ibime repeats now and again that I do not have time to refute. I do not remember saying that. What I do remember doing is granular analysis of the number of balls that reach the 18 yard box. However, the hate for Torres' scoring form or lack of it prevented many from absorbing the those points. I may have stated that buying better passers of the ball will definitely improve Torres' scoring, I do not remember saying it last season as we only bought Oscar and Hazard this season. So that is clearly a lie. If I remember quite clearly, I have never gone out on a limb and stated how well Hazard, Mata and Oscar will do, let alone how well they will do with Torres. The best of what I would have stated is that there is potential and that potential cannot be realised this season. I have stated many times that this is a rebuilding season and winning trophies are the least of my expectation. When you have seasoned liars like Ibime in the building, anything can stick. For instance, only a few days ago, he said I blamed Lampard for Mikel's mistake against Juve in the CL. I did not and he cannot and will not find a post that supports that. Yet he said it. |
Ibime: So because Valencia got lucky that the ball went through Luiz leg who was too busy trying to hide his hand to prevent handball means Bertrand is the eediot whilst Valencia is the gangster.7 points behind Utd for a bunch of school boys are doing fine mate. Hazard - 21, Oscar - 21. I have done this before but I will do it again. Get some perspective dude and if you cannot, I will give you. Oscar is 3 months younger than Kakuta and Hazard is only 6 months older than Kakuta. Kakuta, we refer to as a growing footballer. To be talking about Hazard and Oscar in the realm of being 7pts behind United speaks volumes of their contribution. Both midfielders are age mates of Danny Welbeck and both 2 years younger than Tom Cleverley. To be critical of their game is disgraceful at the very least. If you like go and resurrect Makalele, a revolution has occurred. It does not involve the old boys and will not forever. The quicker you get over it, the better. How many midfielders have the Lampard instinct? Do their not finish off games? Your love for Lamps is admired by many but when you begin to use Lampard's game as the "only yardstick" for securing 3 points, it moves away from extremely annoying, it starts to trend into insanity. No two players are completely alike. Why must Hazard, Oscar or Mata be like Lampard? Why must they have that killer instinct? They don't need it. If there's anything they need, it's to improve on their work rate, movement and final passes amongst many other qualities. Goal scoring midfielder are a bonus to the game, not an imperative. If they can score (and then can) then yes. When they don't they should endeavour to carry out their primary responsibilities well. Abi you have gifs on all their performances and lack of killer-instincts as well? |
I am sorry dude but this is way out of order. On that second move 1. Its a basic rule in such situation someone has to make the near post run which would open things up, the defenders run towards him, if he beats them to it at the right angle he can have a near post tap in. Chicharito doesnt need to be told this. How come you only mentioned Chicharito. Hernandez has exceptional movement but you then extending this to "basic movement" is pushing boundaries mate. Van Persie doesn't make nearly as good a run as Chicharito, yet outscores everyone. I can mention a bunch of striker who score regularly as well that may not have made the near post run. Don't call it a basic run, call it an optional run. 2. Its basic common sense that Bertrand would slow down else "if he continues at that pace" he can as well run off the field or lose composure to deliver a good cross and its the players in the middle aka Torres that has to increase their speed and make things happen At which pace? Did you see that in the gif? In a bid to blame a striker, you have assumed that the wide player is running at a pace so much that he is "needing to slow down" to get a cross in or lose composure. I am amazed at how you can deduce all that from the gif. For all I care, he may have been jogging towards the ball. Also, how do you deduce that Torres did not increase his speed from the gif as well. This is all complete hogwash my friend. 3. By drawing the defenders with him the middle would have freed up. I have seen lampard score from this sort of position several times when Drogba makes the near post run and Lampard is free just inside the box to pick his spot and shoot. Thats a basic thing in football except when you have a mediocre striker And I have seen Drogba, Van Persie, Tevez, Henry, Bergkamp, Van Nistelrooy all score goals from the exact position Torres was by not making the "obvious run" - the near post run you refer to. So please, don't tell us what the striker is supposed to do. If you knew that much, you will not be discussing with us on NL. You 'll be coaching strikers. How many near post runs did Torres make when he was banging in goals for Liverpool. You would thinking he knows all about near posts runs. 4. Torres Waiting for the cutback is stupid in that situation when there are 2 defenders also waiting for the cutback. the sensible thing was to run for the near post. He should only wait for a cutback Only if Bertrand was able to beat his man and bear him on goal. If bert did that then the 2 defenders in front of Torres would have to run to cover the near post and block Bertrands free path and shot which would leave Torres free for a cutback It wasn't stupid. On the contrary Torres was free. Torres is a good header of the ball and if I was in Bert's shoes, I will be putting in a nicely flighted ball - head height - into the area Torres was attacking. The defenders already running backwards will find it hard changing direction to run out to defend. Torres was already running forward. Hitting it with the right side of his head will be hitting the target at the very least. Infact, if anyone is to blame, it's Bert for not delivering in time and having to reach the byline before deciding to release the ball. This is about creative passing and I have seen Valencia do this over and over. Something we should be encouraging rather that finding the easiest target. 5. When Torres now finally decided to make the run, where was he running toward? Away from goal!! Is that not retardded? The trajectory of Torres run would take him towards the skysport banner considering the position of the keeper the post and the space left, he has made an otherwise simple chance much harder to hit Dude, this is a blame at all cost venture. If anything, Bertrand delayed. What you are doing here is blaming Bertrand for not crossing the ball quickly. You and the writer have made Bert into an accomplished passer of the ball waiting for the right run of the striker to place a perfect delivery. So what happened to the final pass. Where did it go? Even with the skewed attempt at rubbishing Torres' run, the delivery could still have reached the area for Torres' attack. Did it? And you blame Torres' run for it? I cannot even do this any more. This is an exact scenario in Utd colours. See what Valencia did in spite of Luiz being on him and see what run RVP makes. https://i.minus.com/iheQfvs4ABTP4.gif . For the first chance Torres has some blame but not as much as the second one. The first one was lost because Torres doesnt have the Chicharito instinct nothing I can blame him for. He doesn't have it such chance requires a high level of poaching skills cos the margin of error (to be offside is thin) and requires Offside specialist like hernandez, Inzaghi, Nistelrooy to hit that At least you realize and I assume that your agreement with the first post signifies a classic case of scapegoating without granular analysis of the unfolding events. |
What a lopsided, half-baked piece of attacking analysis. Absolute shambles of a point of view. Irrespective of this being Torres, the first conclusion is wrong in that if the striker makes a yard of a forward-run towards goal, he'll be offside. How someone cannot be objective enough to see that even from the picture beats my imagination. The second piece is just a joke for a number of reasons. 1. The writer of the article assumes there's "only one" sort of run to make in that area - the one he (the writer) deems the correct move. 2. The writer assumes that even though the wide player had only moved about 2 yards towards the line (very clear to see from the 2 pictures), the striker should have double that distance into the box. How possible is that in real time? Bearing in mind that we are talking about max 3 seconds of play time, the writer wants Torres to cover an enormous amount of ground as at the second picture. The writer assumes that the Torres is quicker than the wide player. 3. The writer assumes that the striker may not have anticipated a cut back, which if happened, would have turned out to be a brilliant run. 4. The writer fails to document what final ball was produced. As seen in picture 2 of the wide, with his left foot could have dinked it in the path of Torres, setting him up for a left foot volley. However, with showing the final ball, it immature to conclude that Torres' run was bad. It's even worse to blame Torres for the breakdown of the move when a clever player would have found an inch perfect player. My point is, with careful selection, a bunch of gif images can make a good player look bad and conversely, make a very bad player look good. The analysis is subjective at best. |
Ibime: Last Belgium match I watched hazard was playing as a striker hence I put him up there. It takes him away from the left where he is losing goals. What's the difference between that and Moses who has never played there before. Before I think of Moses I would play Sturridge if it's just about getting a finisher. The reason I moved hazard there is to get him away from the left wing. Same time shoring up the left wing I'm getting central midfielder who runs beyond the 18 yard box as Oscar does mot make that run. There are loads of tap ins to be had if a midfielder with the right runs and anticipation makes those runs.Hehehehe. Proper rant. Dude wants us to put Hazard up front for the whole season on the back of "one single" game. Proper eediotic analysis, when Sturridge and Moses are on the bench. So we sacrifice all Hazard's attribute in midfield and push him forward. For what phucking reason? Just so Lamps can play? Why don't we move Mata forward in a 4-4-2 while we are at it? We can bring Essien back from loan and play him alongside Lamps and call it the re-union of the old-guard. Olofo! Dunce. To play Lamps effectively is to revert to a 4-3-3. (The only formation Lamps can fit into by the way) We currently play a 4-2-1-3. Lamps cannot play in the hole as he doesn't have the technique to play in tight spaces, neither can he play in the double pivot as he doesn't have the legs to track back when he bombs forward and loses the ball. So the only way to push Hazard up front and accommodate Lamps "effectively" is to revert to a 4-3-3. Therefore I ask again, why should we revert to a 4-3-3? What possible tactical advantage does it give us at this moment in time? The only thing Lamps can give us now is goals - that's all. Are we not scoring enough goals? Are we not moving the ball well in midfield? Ah! I see it's the defence. . . The sucker talks about conceding the most goals in Chelsea history so bringing Lamps back is going to stop that. . . Are you freaking kidding me? Even if sturridge was the one upfront I would be dropping mikel for Lamps so it's not about hazard. You always build around your winners and champions.Blah blah blah. How many trophies has Lamps won at Chelsea that Mikel has not been a massive massive part of? Oh! Lamps is the "only" winner right? You see how very mad you are? You refer to Lamps as a winner, you surround your team with winners but you drop Mikel. . Phucking hypocrite. You only say what you have to say at a point in time to convey a point of view, whether insane or not. Very soon, this fat bootlicker will be telling us Lamps went to score the goals and did better than Petr Cech in goal. Odaran. Dude, go and lie down. |
I always laugh at Managers who take off an attacker in the 80th minute against ManUtd hoping they can defend till the end. They never achieve it, yet they continue to do it. I cannot understand the mindset. |
debosky: ^^ Mikel is not the issue here - it's more what RDM is asking him to do. Do you think Mikel by himself wants to make runs forward? I don't think so.It's a delicate issue for him to discuss. Finding himself right in the middle of his distaste for Mikel and unwillingness to criticise RDM. This situation is akin to last year's situation of why AVB was asking his players to do what they couldn't do. When I argued that it was the case of tactical inflexibility and adaptability of the players, they said I was insane. 1 year later, the same thing is happening but this time, it's okay to make Mikel the culprit. If Mikel is so horrible at what he does now (something I don't see) why don't we just call for RDM to make him do what he does best? Totally incoherent argument. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The second issue is an "anything to accommodate Lamps" thing. Personally, I do not see what's so wrong about what we are doing now that needs dire changing. As Torres is not firing, he is an easy scape goat. If he calls for dropping any of Oscar, Hazard or Mata in midfield, people will be asking for proper reasons. So let's drop the scape goat, Torres and instead of playing a striker in place, get Lampard in. How ridiculous! If Torres is being dropped, Moses, Sturridge and Patrick Bamford are getting the spot in that pecking order. Lampard will be coming in to freshen things up so as not to burn the young kids - like when Mata got the much needed rest in September but that's about it. Altering the set-up that clearly works for the sake of Lamps is insane at this point in time. I don't see the disaster that requires a total overhaul of the current functioning system. |
Ibime: Lampard is a true professional. A player who improves everyside of his game. You are a phucking slowpoke. Who are the "others" you refer to? Oscar and Hazard? Phucking hell, they are 21. Are you this much a butt licker that you don't know when you are crossing the line and trying to draw comparison between a seasoned professional at the top of his game with kids. Get some perspective dude, if you don't understand the scale of what you are doing, Oscar is younger than Kakuta and Hazard is only 3 months older than Kakuta. Carry go front. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So England fans think Lamps is not all that because of Gerard not because Lamps is not all that. Hehehehe. You see, there are some things you cannot miss in football - a talented footballer is one of them. When you have to explain, back up with stats, involve moronic comparison and call others idiots over the "seemingly obvious talent" of a player, then that player is probably not all that talented. Who argues that Iniesta is not that good? This one here is just pure madness. Si IMO Lampard was more influential than Makelele because he did everything a midfielder was supposed to do, tackle, press, assist and score |
Hehehe. See all the flimpsy quotes. One great shot, presses very well, defends very well. Please! That's supposed to entice me. Dude, write me stuff I haven't heard about. I have been listening to this garbage for a decade. It reminds me of the answer pundits on TV give when asked about Lampard. They respond by saying "all those goals from midfield" and that's just about it. The few who have an affection for him start by saying "I think Frank's underrated" . . . Well why is he bloody damn underrated? That is my point. |
coogar: fa cup best player? player of the month? what else? player of the morning? And like you, I consistently praised his ability to stay fit and act as an example to modern day professionals. He scored goals, plenty goals, many times important goals. Except as opposed to those actors, I know where I draw the line. Most influential midfield player? Give me a break. Ask England fans what they think about that? |
Ibime: 2010/2011, Lampard had hernia for 4 months. When he came back Chelsea was fifth in the table and scared of not qualifying for UCL. From January to May and 13 goals later, Chelsea finished second, only losing the title to Manure in a game at Old Trafford.Nothing to do with Malouda's 13 goals. Chelsea's highest goal scorer that season. Drogba's 11 goals, Kalou's 10 goals. Somehow, only Lamps' goals are of consequence - (and they are 10 in the PL by the way, not 13). See how he painted a picture of Lamps came back from injury and saved the day. Dude I was watching that season as well and I do not and did not see all you paint. ------------------------ Ask your colleagues at work what they think about Lamps. There's never a straight answer, unless you are a Chelsea fan. Lamps is the only player I know who gets constantly defended using "only" stats - time and again. |
Ibime: I like to catch ninjas. Few weeks ago, you did not mention all these, it was all Lampard you put the blame on, so once again, please tell me how the defence has improved since Lamps checked out?Dude, we have dealt with this issue like a gazillion times. Even when Lamps was 30, you could not convince me. You will try even harder now. I will not have childish discussions with you about how "Lamps dragged Chelsea" when opinions like that could and would only come from the lips of a Chelsea fan. Mention this to a non-Chelsea fan (how Lamps dragged Chelsea and the likes of Kalou) 9.5 times out of 10, they cannot remember. Quit in venting stuff. Who would forget in a hurry those times when the likes of Ritchie and I come here to ask where Lamps was every time a big game was played? That same Lamps is the one being milked over like this. Abeg man, I am exhausted. Your defence is comparing Mata, Hazard and Oscar at times in their first seasons with Lampard's most successful. I cannot have moronic debates. Compare what Mata, Hazard and Oscar have been to Chelsea to Lamps first 2 seasons at Chelsea, then we can have a debate. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To further state the moronic elements of this argument. In one post, Lamps did not do it without support. One of the many points of unflinching support that Lamps had going forward to score a goal was that someone stood back, maintained discipline and contributed into successful seasons. Something he himself notices by saying. . Ninjas who concede just 15 goals in a whole Premierleague season. One of those ninjas is John Obi Mikel. Someone who's taking a absolute spanking from this dude in 2012. Mikel has been slow since 2006 and I have maintained that Chelsea cannot play in the opposition half with Mikel holding. . . .since. . . erm. . . lemme guess. . . 2006!!!Really? Chelsea cannot play in opposition half with Mikel holding but Lamps is credited with all the success in the same period. How did Lamps win all the accolades if Chelsea did not play in the opposition half? Ogbeni, we are having the same "moronic argument" and "slip of brain" moment. We are just doing it with our favourites. Simple. |
azpekuliar:You beat me to that Bors. Just heard it on TalkSport. I find that news incredible. Time to analyse. |
BlueDiva: You can afford to say that now because he is old. That's not ingratitude. It's spelling it like it is Diva. Especially as the topic of contention is midfield influence. Please read my post again. 20 goals a season does not equate midfield influence. Xavi will hardly get a goal but you cannot doubt his "midfield influence". Need I go into the long list of influential midfield players who had nothing near 20 goals a season? His goals were instrumental but that's were it stops. This is my view. Abrasive? Harsh? Insane? I am trying to care. I thought everyone knew this already. ----------------------------------------------------- Juxtapose my views with that of the dude losing it entirely by blaming our recent defensive indiscipline on Mikel as though Mikel showed up overnight. Mikel has played DM since 2006 at Chelsea. He's not lost a yard of pace yet this man thinks he is "the sole reason Shaktar were far superior against Chelsea". Nothing to do with Shaktar's movement on and off the ball, ability to move the ball better, their tactics and setup, Torres firing blanks, "OSZAMA" (That's cool by the way) playing together for the very first season, David Luiz sometimes trying to deputise for Torres, our lack of proper wide players. Absolutely nothing to do with all this. No! It's Mikel's fault. According to Ibime, if we swapped Fernandinho with Mikel, we will win the CL again. Please mate. |
Ibime: Some of our very good friends who like to look for problems in a certain no 8 every year convinced us that problems do not lie in our inept defensive midfielder but in our no 8.So now it's Mikel's fault. Hehehehe. Your tenacity to make illogical arguments beats my imagination. . . always! Mikel can't defdend, can't attack. Well that's a new one. Before you continue with your rubbish, you might want to check how many of the goals Chelsea have conceded lately actually have came from counter-attacks. Maybe it's Hazard's fault too. . . Maybe even RDM's fault. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeez. We are playing for the very first time in our history with an attacking midfield core of an average age of 22. Mistakes will be made, gelling will take time. Defensive responsibilities sometimes will be ignored. Tactical errors will be made. However, progress will be made. That's all that matters. This is supposed to be a transitioning season. To be top of the league, unbeaten until the ManU game and our midfield and playing style becoming the toast for football punditry over the world, my friend we are surpassing expectations. Siddon there dey cry for No 8. We've flipping moved on. In fact, No one remembers we have Lampard in our squad any more and what is happening now is exactly what I have been trying to prove for years - that Lampard is not as influential and instrumental to our midfield play as you make seem and therefore is perfectly dispensable. It's taken just one season to prove that. Instead make you embrace, you dey make noise every single game week all in a bid to remind us that we miss No 8? Dude wake up and smell the coffee, we don't phucking miss him. Stop the annoying witch hunt against Mikel. We went out for 3 pts last night, we got them. We've been beaten only once in the league. Only twice in all important competitions. Our midfield players are bedding in, leading the assists/key pass/midfield stats and you are here moaning about sh1t that don't exist. Everyone's talking about David Luiz' horror show, you are blaming Mikel. |
Oscar? OMG! What a player. It's just the way he makes difficult things look really easy. |
3pts desired, 3pts earned. Good input by everyone involved except David Luiz. |
Ibime: In want run. Hold am, hold am. Comot in shirt, strip am, strip am. Whoze am, whoze am. Bring tyre, weterem petrol, bring matches osiso. No let am run. We must burn this shekpe lover today!Hehehe. Aftermath of cheap crack. ![]() |
Is there nothing else to discuss? |
Hazard's move and pass for that goal and then the dummy by Ramires, then dribble and the goal all make for first class highlight stuff. |
