Let's not mix 2 arguments or apply different contexts. According to Nateevs (paraphrasing), "DD and Lamps used to shine for themselves but Torres teamwork is better and maintains the shape better"

We now pass the baton to the Torres generation to show us that his teamwork can prompt the team to be the most creative team ever in Premierleague history. Simples!
In Torres' last five games lemme pick out off the top of my head a few key contribution he's made.
Pass to Luiz for Mata, for our first CL.
Pass to Luiz for the second CL goal.
Goal against United.
Goal against Swansea.

Watch Ramires' goal against Swansea and tell me how Torres did not make that goal possible.
His key pass to find Ashley in acres of space made sure Ashley's and Ramires' pace provided the goal.

That dude is the most talked about footballer on the planet. He cannot even listen to the radio for a few hours without hearing his own name. He's supposed to be out of form and cannot pass a ball to save his life yet he's already racked up 2 goals, 2 assists and 1 key pass. If it's possible to find stats of how many times DD and Torres will find a team mate, I think you will find mate that Torres shytes on DD every single minute.

DD's work rate is overrated dude, please. I am a Chelsea fan who doesn't watch our games from a stat point of view. I watch every single one of our games at least three times. I cannot tell you how many times I have spotted DD drop his shoulders or annoying raise them when he can chase and re-collect the ball. Go and speak to fans who go and watch games and let them tell how lazy Drog can be.

@you and BlueDiva

In a team where shape and movement is not of the essence, what you create is garbage. What you create is a team of individuals with a set-up built around the "good guys" - in this case, Lamps and DD. Go watch Arsenal and United and see how effective they can be without their key players. Do you know how many times, DD and Lamps went missing and we could not win games. That's garbage. That's not a team and you as a fan should be concerned about that. How did you feel when you had to explain to opposition fans that we could not win a game against a weak side because Drogba was not playing. What sort of team is that?

What AVB's tactics have brought is a system that does not rely on a target man and a goal scoring midfielder. For that reason, anybody can slot into it. It will take some time to perfect, it will take a lot of understanding on the players part but when they get it, it's longevity my friend. And longevity should be every fan's utmost desire. Way and above just someone who scores.

It's a system that works, it's a system that will get even not technical players like Ramires score goals because he will find himself in positions. Because it relies on movement, it relies on the shape. You cannot tell me AVB is wrong and you guys are right. Apart from Lamps age, it's already evident AVB can tell Lamps and DD don't fit the system. They will play less parts  in this season.

If Carllotti had remained, Malouda, Kalou, Lamps and DD would have played 90mins every game. AVB's been in only five mins and won't play the four of them. You are talking about stats, lemme give you more stats:-

Malouda 9, 15, 14. No of goals 08/09, 09/10, 10,11 seasons.
Kalou 9, 11, 12, 12, 12 No of goals from 06/07 - 10/11 seasons.

According to you folks, these guys have to play based on those stats. I mean we all watch Malouda and Kalou for pete's sake. You think AVB doesn't read these stats? Malouda what? Give me Arda Turan any single day.

As for Nateevs asking me for Lamps England "results", just put it this way - Lamps goal record for England is almost equal to Torres goal record for Spain! Hehehehehe!
That's all you can come up with eh?
Tell me, where Lamps has functioned as an effective midfielder without a target man.
Shebi everything is stats.

Oya find stats for his England performance.
Every wrong about Lamps shows glaringly outside Chelsea.

Shut up Ibime. Torres at his best is a million times better than Drogba has ever dreamt of being. You want him to spearhead the team to EPL record? How long has he been at the club? How long did it take Drogba to find his feet? In fact if I'm not mistaken Drogba has only scored 20+ goals in 2 seasons at Chelsea after 7 YEARS!

It's a fukcin' disgrace!!!
Even though I disagree with you a million times, on this occasion, dude have an e-champagne on me.

The only thing you forgot to add is that Ramires has no results. Only a poor statistician would use one event as his sample base. All I know is that since Ramires joined Chelsea, we have played the worst ever since the Vialli era. That is the result that counts for Ramires. Should Ramires go on to cop 15 goals and make 10 assists this season, I would even buy a Ramires shirt next season even if he only makes 30 passes per game.

As regarding Berbatov, that analogy was poor. Berbatov made Robbie Keane into a £20m player.
You are directing this at a wrong person. I am not a statistician. I only do team statistics, I evaluate personal statistics only when it's not at the detriment of the team. I will not ignore 5 lost chances by a wasteful midfielder and then praise him for scoring two goals for himself. There's a point when stats take the back seat.

What if Ramires continues to make the most awful passes yet scores 15 goals come end of season, you'll join the band wagon eh? You cannot expect me to eat up the "result matter" shitzo. I see more than that dude. I see longevity. I see depth in squad.

I don't do stats mate. I open my eyes. I can't stand for football that makes Chelsea evidently weakened without Drogba and Lampard. Arsenal and Chelsea time and again fielded a second string team who beat weaker opposition, we had Drogba and Lampard on the bench. I am sorry if I don't subscribe to that rubbish.

There's a clear difference between a team built over 10 years to suit the styles of Lampard and Drogba, and them being naturally effective players regardless of tactics. Remind of Lamps' national team stats once again.

It's so nice when we feel right about what we argue. Every Chelsea fan is guilty of the same shyte Ibime. For instance.

Ibime:
A wise man once told me that only a fool argues with results.
Really? Ok. Ramires scored two goals.
Let's all drop our argument.

Meireles scored zilch this season.
With respect to arguing with results, Ramires is Chelsea's best midfielder this season. End of.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 9:29pm On Sep 25, 2011
The thing is when one complains about one person getting a goal at the expense of team set-up, it does not mean the other end of the spectrum applies. I want to see you use the ManU example, not the Arsenal one.

Many teams will pay anything to get a Berbatov or Owen in their team. Infact, with a good midfield each one of them will get 15 goals in a season. However, the big picture is they offer nothing else to the team apart from goals and the big picture is what I always see.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 8:19pm On Sep 25, 2011
Many of us Chelsea fans will pardon any style of play, any footballer, anything in boots as long as they score a goal. It was the same with Lampard, the same with Drogba and now Ramires.

SMH.

Yes corrupt politicians should get stiff sentences in the case, the Chief Justice is way out of order. In a country where people don't know what their place is and what they should say in public, you will end up with more chaos. I am ashamed to be associated with a country where a member of judiciary makes such suggestions in public.
