How good were United today? Gosh breath taking football.

Like I said on our thread, I was not expecting anything better than a draw.
Chelsea, like United in Jose's time here, are rebuilding.
It's a bit too early in the season to meet United.

I knew we would be punished with the high line.
The good thing though is that we are at least working towards improving.
This is the first time I have seen Chelsea in maybe about 10years playing open football at OT.

We will improve. I just hope our owner doesn't get excited in the balls again and truncates the process.

Who is this reetard?
Do i know you? Every creep comes to this thread to make a comment.

Danny is selfish and overzealous, but i will take my chances.

You guys keep saying Torres will come good. When?
Aguero already has 8 goals, Dzeko 6.
Torres is not Aguero. I remember you and Ibime telling me Aguero was overrated when I was singing his praises then.
Topic for another day.

Rooney went through almost a 6, 7 - month period of goal draught last season. Dzeko was a goal scoring machine for Wolfsburg. When he came to City, he could not buy a goal. I have asked you to search when last Drogba scored a goal.

Every Striker goes through a period of draught. The good news is Torres, unlike Sheva, is just 27. He has time on his side to pick his form up. We have to play to the strengths of our strikers. If Hernandez was a Chelsea player, he won't score a single goal.

Torres in the last two games has scored one goal and had two assists. On another day, he could have had a hat-trick today. . . Easily. Coming from not being able to kick a balloon, I see that as improving.

Did you not see how he walked past two United defenders and forced a magic save from De Gea and still managed to be focused enough for the rebound? That to me is improving.
Then we can conclude every MoTM performer's made to look good by a lethargic opponent. undecided Nani as a player never seem to get his due credit. His assists and involvement in everything Utd is top drawer.

A stat to bite on:
I didn't mean it in that way. I take back what I said. I was letting my frustration about Ashley's performance take front row.

All these talk about Torres being good is crap.
He scored a classy goal and then had the worst miss in history.

Torres should be playing the last 15mins only.
Play Sturridge upfront and allow Mata and Anelka support.
And how do you think Danny will fare upfront by himself?
By equal measures I could tell you that Danny had a very terrible game trying desperately to impress rather than keeping it simple many times. He needs to keep his head down and stop believing his own hype. If a kid comes through from the academy that is better on the flanks (and Danny is not a winger), he will be lost soon enough; find himself competing for the central striker role and will find himself out on loan again. He has to learn how to keep it simple and real quick.

Meanwhile, Torres plays 90mins come what may. He single-handedly could have staged a come back today.

nani wasn't great? did you watch the game?

nani copped the man of the match in which he was involved with everything united did today.
he utterly destroyed your left side of the pitch. . . . .his 2nd thunderous shot led to united's penalty!!!
All I am saying is that was largely due to the fact he was made to look good.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 6:23pm On Sep 18, 2011
How poor was Ashley Cole? He was shocking and Nani was not even that great.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 6:11pm On Sep 18, 2011
I will not say I am speechless because I am not. I will lay the entire blame of this all on AVB. Dude has to be manager or not. He needs to strive to be a 'get it right the first time' manager with regards to selection. . . . always! Don't rely on making corrections, get it right the first time.

Lampard is this game was a monumental mistake. I said it all week. We not play a high line against United. The will punish us and we will tire.

Secondly, if you play a high line, you have to have a tireless midfield. They have to be chasing every ball from the first minute. If you play a high line, your pressing must be tireless. . . and Lamps today was a shocker. United had two men wide, to attack and also curtail the over lapping runs of Ashley and Bosingwa, yet Anderson and Cleverley still over ran our 3 men midfield. Shocking!!

Meireles, no matter what Ibime tries to make you believe, is not a DM. . . . Dude was all over the place. If you are using a player in that position, then he's got to sit. Mikel in this game was the right choice.

This result will rock the dressing room and questions will be asked. Players will question his decision-making especially when you've just lost disgracefully to the champions. Time for him to to zip up and show those balls of steel. The old man-loving-men will take you for a ride and you will soon be out of the door.

Years ago when I was telling them all it's the players we have that are the problem, they thought I was a false prophet. United are refreshing time and again with youth, we stick with old cargo and continue to expect different results. I am not going to rant too much because I didn't expect a win and I know we are on the path to change.

Roman has to come out and back his manager and slowly show the old guard their medals of honour and totally flip the script.

Don't believe what fakers want you to, Torres was absolutely world class today. I care not about the miss.

That technique by Torres is reminiscent of the old Torres.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 5:05pm On Sep 18, 2011
I could have sworn AVB was reading my rants. Torres scores.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by nateevs(m): 5:01pm On Sep 18, 2011
I mean just look how Smalling runs past Lamps to head the ball from the free kick. He could not match the reactionary speed of Smalling. He just watched Nani run past the midfield to score as he kept jogging. Meireles was showing Nani to his right leg. . .

Anyone who has watched Nani for a minute knows he can pull that sort of magic out. Do not show him his right leg. Mikel will never do that. And all because Lamps didn't close up.

Third goal . . I can't even begin.

He gets the ball and decides forever what to do with it. United have the quick thinking hats on. This is not a game for those who are thinking in attack before executing. It needs technique, it needs toughness, it needs speed.

Lampard out!

End of first half. 3 things.

1. Meireles is not a DM.
2. Lampard has gone from grace to grass. Slowest player on the pitch by a mile.
3. Ramires should not be in a Chelsea shirt.

We're not doing badly.
This is the kind of game we need a powerful striker. . . Drog.
You say that because Torres is not in form.
This game does not need a powerful striker, it needs a striker that can score a goal. You will be surprised to learn the last time Drogba scored a league goal.

I am quite surprised we are playing a high defence line against ManU; especially when we are attacking with full backs.

I am very sorry but I have heard English graduates say pronounciation. A step further, they thought they word was "pronounciation" when I correct them that it was pronunciation.

I heard an Mike Parry, a seasoned journalist, on talksport arguing with Mike Graham that the word was pronounciation instead of pronunciation. He even argued that it had to be pronouciation "from the word pronounce".

Ariba is right people.

I have heard English graduates say things like

"Should of" instead of "should have"
"Would of" instead of "would have"

I have seen them use "you're" and "your", "there", they're and "their" interchangeably and "where", "wear" and "were" interchangeably.

Romeu 20yrs
Mata 23yrs
Miereles 28yrs
Lukaku 18yrs

Average age of 22yrs.

A mix of old and young is a perfect blend.
I can bet my whip that United can't beat Chelsea at OT.
Josh 18
Betrand 21
Danny 22
Luiz 24
Ramires 24

Some people have a fixture in their head about the "Chelsea team ageing". They carry it on season after season without researching facts.
It's like a village myth.

I am not so confident of a win. Chelsea are in a rebuilding process. New manager, new style, new players, new transfer strategy. Old players bowing out, young players on loan. This United game has come too early and I feel a draw will be a good result at this moment in time.

english is actually my 10th language.
i learnt igbo, punjabi, bengali, pashto, gan, oriya, xhosa, zhuang and a bit of hebrew before english.

small letters/capital letters/bold letters all mean shyte.
this is not an essay competition. as long as the grammar and sentences are clear enough for a dog to read, the rest is academic.

brain spasm?
miss natasha, is that all you can come up with?
Of course they mean shyte you lazy arse bigot.  grin
Why don't you start using present, past and future tenses interchangeable as long as you make sense.
If syntax is crucial in effective language presentation, then follow through. Don't type wenger. . . . type Wenger.

But you can't be bothered can you. . .  grin grin grin
