Ibime:Really!!!. . . . Now that's you coming back to where I have always been. . . If RA doesn't spend. . . The next manager will out as quickly as he came in. . . . |
@Dayo I am not saying we should stick with the bad. . . I am only saying with a little tweaking here and there we could make bad turn good. . . . Simple. Ok that's it! . . It's done now. . . Who do we bring? |
How can we for goodness sake be thinking about Grant? |
It is better to stop the rot now and start again with a good manager with a good knowledge of the transfer market, strong physical preparation, and good tactics.How can you guarantee we would do this? |
Are they worse than Man Utd in 2003/4 season? Having led the table till the 1st of January. . . . .We fell 12 points behind league leaders(Arsenal) by February. We lost to Wolves at OT, lost to Pompey, lost to Liverpool. . . We lost NINE games that season. Did we sack Ferguson??
WORD!!!! |
The only positive thing I take from this is that RA is still interested in Chelsea. . . so all talks about him wanting to sell Chelsea should stop now. Apart from that, this is not the way to build a brand. The only way this can make sense is to bring back JM. I am going to stop ranting about this now. . . unless of course someone says something ridiculous! It's been done. . . and the next thing should be "Who should come in next?" |
We could have finished sixth this season. LFS could have been allowed to sort a few things out next season. See what players we can let go and a few we can bring in. Mix up with a group of younger players we have. . . . and challenge for the title on all fronts next season, with players that are really hungry. He could win the PL next season. . . there's nothing to suggest he couldn't. . he could even win the Champions League. . . but this disastrous desire for instant success from fans and owner is appalling! The sacking of LFS is not result-related but for the fear that we won't qualify for Champions league and that will hamper the clubs target of breaking even in 2010. . . . but there's nothing to suggest he wouldn't have. With this road we chosen to journey, a new man in any new club will inspire the players to put in their best to be the manager's favourite. . . we will therefore go on a string of good results. . . soon after we will come back to the level we belong and with the first string of bad results, and the manager knowing what kind of fans and owner he works for, the panic begins. . . . and we will go all over this journey again. Unless we spend like we did when JM was here, we can't achieve anything! |
@FBS. I agree with everything you've said about LFS. . . but let's say we get to a stage where we make a mistake with the next appointment and it turns out sour. . . what do you suppose the management does? |
FBS:Oh! We will all celebrate! . . . . Now you answer my question. . . . what if he fails? |
@Diva, You really do not give a damn if we finished fourth? Why sack Scolari then? Our jobs are not like Managers' jobs. . . Our jobs can be likened to that of the players. . . you don't perform, you get dropped or benched! The Manager's job on the other hand is like impeaching the President one year into a four-year term. Stability is essential. what if we employed another world class manager and he doesn't succeed again? So who in your opinion should take over now? |
@Ibime. . . Avram Grant? . . . . You really think he should come back. . . Zola will be a disaster. . . 3 years later it might work. . . . he is not ready now! Gus Hiddink, my all time favourite, could infact, have the same problem as LFS, not having coached a club team in a while. Steve Clarke. . . . good number 2 never sure about manager! Who next? . . . and what if we end up finishing sixth? . . We would have contradicted the same reason we fired LFS. |
@Ibime, Let's say Scolari won't have made above 4th. . . . I want to ask you a question, who will we bring in now? and what makes you feel so confident that guy will finish above 4th? |
@Dayo . . . Let me tell you. . . It's £10m . . . that's what he gets!. . . . A man who couldn't buy a football, now we pay him that much!. . . How did this money suddenly show up! It's a nightmare. As unpopular as my assertion could be on the issue, it is a very very bad decision. To fire a manager in the middle of the season is bad leadership. Our problems go beyond LFS. . This is utter rubbish. We are not fulham for heaven's sake. Whateva happened to patience? This rubbish. . utter rubbish. . . and for all of you thinking this is good, this is not the way to attract world class players and managers. |
@Muki, Me? . . . . I will win the CL PL and FA. ![]() |
Bring it on everyone! . . . . I am waiting. |
Chelsea as an outfit are CLASSLESS. Why sack Scolari?? Ferguson has finished THIRD before in this league for f'ucks sake!!! The stop-start-stop-start nonsense is killing Chelsea. Bleep CHELSEA.
Well you know what I have always said. . . . Laughing stock of the PL we are now! |
@Ibime. I just decided to catch up with SSN and news on Tony's sack. . . . only to see the breaking news! . . . Gus Hiddink and Avram Grant on Chelsea's short list! . . . SSN |
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!! SCOLARI FIRED!!! |
Anyone yet?. |
@Dayo. You are nailing yourself even further. . . . I said he doesn't perform for Chelsea. . You asked why he was always inspired for Germany. It's the reasons you are giving. He doesn't play for country often. . so when he does, it's different. It's different from playing a league game for 90mins on weekends. . and then a Carling Cup game on Tuesday and another league game on Saturday. |
@Dayo. If Ballack scored last in the euros and he doesn't play week in week out for the national team . . why then are you asking why he is inspired when he plays for Germany? A 33 yrd-old playing week in week out can't cut it. Simple!. . He will burn out. @Debo. A large section of Chelsea fans screamed "you don't know what you are doing" to LFS yesterday when he took out Quaresma. Suppose he fields Kakuta and we lost. . . what will they say? The key reason they are not bothered is because we do not have enough experienced quality to replace the guys living on past glory. |
dayokanu:I didn't say ballack is not inspired. I say he drags. . . . and what has he done in Germany this season? |
@Diva, LFS's purchase of Deco is due to his inexperience in the PL. I am sure he knows now that if you are not Bolton or WestBrom, you don't buy a spent player, else he'l burn out soon. |
@Diva, We are very old. You look at Ballack and the way he drags along and you say we are not old. Ok. Let's set the record straight. Can we stop talking about how we got to the final of the CL last year? We were poor in the final. We had only one shot on goal in the first half and that was the goal by Lampard. We had only four shots on goal throughout the 120mins. . . and that was with the in-form Drogba and Lampard. ManU could have been 3-0 up in the first half. We were only lucky to take it into extra time. We have been poor for a while but I wonder why it was so difficult to see. We started depreciating in the year Jose didn't win the league. I remember Ibime and I having a very big argument of his comment saying we have the best midfield in the world. I was ranting over the summer for us to sell Lampard and Ballack because it will force us to bring in a younger and more enterprising midfielder. We didn't! One reason why you should believe we are old . . . Sir Alex said so. Give LFS a chance and he will deleiver. . . . this same guy dropped an old Romario to take younger Kaka to the world cup. . . Well now there's Kaka. |
@Diva. Alex is the man to have. . . but Alex can't win the league with our team. . . . You know why? Well because he said at the beginning of the season that we are too old to win the PL. And you wonder why he is a genius! ManU don't have an untouchable, if we play without Lampard or Drogba, fans will be calling for the head of the Manager. Lampard has to play, if he fumbles and doesn't do well. . . he still won't be subbed. ManU fans worship their club. . . . we worship our players! . . . Difference! |
@Muki, I was thinking about Tosic and Kus. . whateva at the same time. . . |
@Diva, If you say it's not becos they spent, then you are saying it's unnecessary, which in turns means alex doesn't know what he is doing. He has a good, vibrant, young squad, with players that can run for 102mins. If a coach wins the CL and he goes ahead to spend £30m in the summer, you say he doesn't know what he is doing. They constantly replenish, that's the point. We don't. Remove this team and they can name another 11 that will flog the premiership one by one. ---------------------Tusack Neville---------Evans-----Evra---------Fabio -------------------Hagreaves--------------- -------Anderson--- ---Fletcher------- --Nani------------Rooney----------Tosic---- Ask Chac and Criz. . . After this 11 I named, they will still have players I do not know on the bench. . . . and you say it's not because they spend. This second eleven will win at least one trophy. . how many teams in the PL can do this. A team must be good first, then Coach! 3. Evans |
follypimpi:Well that's what you get when you win the champions league and you go ahead to buy another £30m striker. . . you don't spend, you can't compete! |
Common Hammers! |
Bent is Shit! |
@Chac. .
Chelsea need a player like Lennon, Modric, Ashley Young or Agbonlahor. Can u see the width of Tottenham's play?? They have stretched the Arsenal's back four beyond their elastic limit. Lennon has wrecked Clichy's career and Modric continues to own Sagna. . . .THAT IS HOW TO WIN GAMES.
Just look at the pace of the game. . . exactly what I have been talking about. |
Keane! |
