Good point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

That is exactly what we have been saying. He was the best. It could change this season but he was the best.

@akolawole
Thanks for that post.

@jackal

You say ruud scores out of nothing and you say put him in the box.. Where's the most likely place to score a goal.  That's not scoring out of nothing.

This is scoring out of nothing.

Drogba is a player you guys do not just understand. Drogba and so is Berbatov are players that can manufacture goals. They can score from nothing. Drogba will score even when his team plays nonsense. RVP and Ruud will only score when their teams play well.

Last season, Drogba was the most feared striker in the world. And when all of you are shouting RVP and RUUD without the mention of Henry are trying to say RVP is better than henry as well?

Let me hear someone say it. Then I know something is wrong on this thread.

@banderas

Is arsenal not an u21 team? We could did not beat you last season. Good point but as long as you remain u21 you will not win anything in the english league or in europe. No mata aw many passes you exchange. I do not hate. It's just the truth.

@ruddie

Accepted eto might have been better than drogba if he wasn't injured. So why was it not given to adebayor ? did somone forget he is an african? What about benny mc carthy? Is he too old for an award?

I no just understand

I rest my case. There is no point being sentimental. When henry was on fire evrytime I pray he should never play against us. I never utter the words out he is not the best, because he was. If you do not accept, I rest my case.

@wormedup

We were together on the Lamps issue but I diagree with you on this. Who in your rating is the best Striker. Until this season ends, drog is.

Drogba is more likely more likely to score a goal in any match than anyone els in the world for now. The story might change tomorrow but for now it is the same.

Let's do this little assesment. Any chelsea fan out there, if you have to drop one player not to play a match for chelsea, would it be drogba in eleven chances. Your sincere answer to the question wiill give you an insight into what I am saying.

Chelsea haters, If you found out you were drogba was not playing in a match against you would you say THANK GOD or WHATEVER

Let's all be frank when we discuss this thing. If it changes tomorrow then there's perhaps somone else. For now drog is more likely to score than anyone else in the world.

Sit Drogba down and let sheva and pizzarro show him how it is done. I don't even know how to laugh. You are talking about perhaps the best striker in the world now and you talking about someone showing him how it is done.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 12:08pm On Sep 03, 2007
Which team do you support? Don't tell me arsenal. Cos we are not talking about U-21 youth championship here. We are talking about established footballers.

Banderas:
Jackal - I actually disagree about the Chelsea midfield. Chelsea actually dominated the midfield - Young and Agbonlahor seemed to play almost as strikers, and for periods Villa appeared to be playing 4-2-4 instead of 4-4-2. The main difference is that the chelsea midfield was all about physical presence, and Reo-Coker is not exactly a pushover, so that didn't work out well.

Also, those two boys on the wing, Young and Agbonlahor were simply too fast for Chelsea to handle, same as SWP was too swift for Villa to handle. Terry was kept out of most of the game by the threat of Carew (That was a major battle in the chelsea defence, and they cancelled each other out).

Razorr - Belleti was effective against Luke young for most of the first half, and a lot of the second, but as I predicted, age started to catch up with him, and his legs could not keep up the chase for the entire game. One nip pass, one cross, two nil to the Villa.

And Cashley was predicting an unbeaten run this season,
Young and Agbonlahor were almost absent in the first half because each one of them was busy either marking SWP or Malouda. It was difficult for them to go forward because of the potential of a counter attack.

The reason the flanks were busy was bocs of mikel's presence. As soon as mikel went off, the flanks suffered lack of feed and YOUNG was just on holiday.

I do not blame JM for the 4-3-3 as he did not have a choice.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 9:49am On Sep 03, 2007
In my opinion the reason it went so bad in the second half was because of the lack of center midfield passes. Lamps is a good player but I still don't think he would have turned the match around.

If you watch very well the key to the deft passes in the center of midfeild was MIKEL. As good as Lamps is, no one can say he possesses the midfield passing abitlities of Mikel. Lamps only has sweeping passes across the flanks. Even JM once said it is not easy to press mikel because his sense of awareness, vision and one touch style makes it almost impossible to press him.  As soon as Mikel went off, the passes thru the midfeild stopped. Another player that could have tried to match that is Joe, unfortunately, SWP was off and Joe had to go to the right.

It left the midfield with kalou coming and conceeding possesion and clearly it was not Malouda's day. The whole system collapsed.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 8:18pm On Sep 02, 2007
Razorr,

Without being sentimental, there is no way in the world I will think SWP is in the same class with JOE. Joe seems to find it hard to come out of injury to top flight football. On the other hand, SWP is in the form of his life but as transformed as he might seem he lacks vision and that is what you can't take away from Joe. SWp has this bustling run at defenders that Joe does not have but it amounts to nothing when you have such talent without a sense of delivery and that is what makes a player versatile. SWP is 24 and by now he should be decided about what his role is in football. He is not decided  about that now.

Joe is an established player and way above the class SWP.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 7:56pm On Sep 02, 2007
Razorr,

I think Drog is trying to add some flair to his style of play. It is not working for him as he conceeds possession a awful lot too often. He should go back to his strength and one-touch football.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 7:53pm On Sep 02, 2007
Liverpool always has a problem with consistency and Arsenal will lose home and away to Westham.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 7:40pm On Sep 02, 2007
@razorr.

i just got consumed in the whole thing. You know jackal now.

What went wrong was that we had finished tactics with a 4-4-2 and in final stages of preparation of positioning and movement on and off the ball in the 4-4-2 arrangement with Lamps when he had the Injury on friday.

With no more time since we had to travel on saturday, we had to hurriedly go back to the 4-4-3 since everything was built around Lamps. Alex had to come into defence instead Ben and the rest was to hope we win.

We did not unfotunately. It happens once in a while. Two seasons ago we lost disgracefully to middlesborough and still won the premiership.

Lamps will be back for Blackburn. And hopefully Ricardo carvalho and Sheva. And we take it from there. The only thing that saddens me is that Lifapoo is on top with a match in hand
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nateevs(m): 7:14pm On Sep 02, 2007
@Mukina.

I totally accept that we lost plus we did not play well to draw let alone win.

@jackal,

Are you trying to tell me If you guys lost against Tottenham and Sunderland, feggy's job won't be threatened? Are you trying to tell if arsenal lives this season through without a trophy, Wenger's position is as strong as he was when they had the unbeaten run?

Can you say sincerely that when Muorinho won the first season he was sackable? Whether a coach is sackable or not is dependent on the results he produces not the number of years he manages a team.

Now don't get me wrong I am not putting JM in the same class as Fergie and Wenger. JM was perhaps still a translator when Wenger started coaching and maybe trying his luck with soccer as a youth when Fergie started. Having said that, one thing is common to all coaches. They are sackable. Everyone of them. The threshold of achievemnts is what differs in every team. While wenger can go three seasons without a trophy without a single trophy and still be manager, JM has to win the champions league to keep his.

Get back to me I am waiting.

Jackal:
@ nateevs,

You have a point but all of a sudden . . . . .u don't.

Chelski is a strong club no doubt . . . . .but the under-currents in that club doesnt allow things to flow in due process.
The margin for error is so slim . . . . . Do u realise Kapo of Birmingham condemned Glen Johnson permanently to Pompey? tongue
Before today's match . . . .Roman and Mourinho had a rift about Chelsea's game flair.
Roman wants Chelsea to play the way Arsenal and Man Utd play the beautiful game . . .That brought about Dinho's transfer rumour.

With this defeat, we don't know what Roman and all other decision makers at Chelsea would say.
The difference between Mourinho and managers like Wenger and Ferguson is huge.
While Ferguson and Wenger are UNSACKABLE . . . . .Jose is extremely SACKABLE.

Jose has been able to hold on to that job because he delivers.
he has lost 5 points this season already plus he plays a boring tactics.
How long do u think a multi-billionaire can wait when he can get CAPELLO, LIPPI or MARIO ZAGALLO as a manager.
Is this the end of Mourinho's era?
If you knew JM in Porto. You will not say he plays boring tactics. You only play according to how to think you will win. Plus you can only use the players you have. I am one of those chelsea fans that believe and always that we need a player with flair that provide a link between a very resilient defense and a potent attack.

Now what you call boring tactics has already won five trophies. It's so unfortunate the holding structure of the Club is the way it is. I was a chelsea fan RUUD through RANIERI but If it muorinho leaves chelsea tomorow morning, I will sincerely miss him and every true football fan of the premiership surely will because he has brought something that never existed in the premiership - the competitve edge - but we will still remain chelsea.

Mr Jackal,

If I told you Rooney and Ronaldo would miss three matches in a row at the beginning of the season, you would have given the same odds. 1/100000000000000000. If I told you ManU will have the most terrible start to the premiership in 16yrs, at the beginning you would have given me the same odds. I squashed that point.

You spent £65m in a season's summer signing only to have the team weaker when the new players play. I have never heard of it. £65m and week in, week out you pray fervently your first team players can come back so that you can "triumph". What then was the £65m meant for? Whichever way you look at it. I know you are gong to tell me it's for future development or back-up.; go and ask Mr Arsenal, (Wenger) PL's youth team coach, you do not need that much to do that.

You are talking about 5coaches in chelsea. I will not say it is not true but you cannot say you can't imagine what pandemonium would have happened if you drew or lost to sunderland and spurs.

Gallas talks about chelsea not having class? I'm so glad he has found himself with a team of class. He will not smell any trophy till he retires.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by nateevs(m): 12:01pm On Sep 02, 2007
You have your own problems to deal with and you are praying for our downfall. You all have gone from playing and scoring a lot of goals to saying "3 points was needed and we got it".

What makes you think Rooney and Ronaldo cannot come back only to go out again? Spurs are the only supposedly big team you have played this season and you have always struggled. I want to see what happens when you play the big teams. Our new signings are already off to bright starts. Despite our injuries at the beginning of the season we will still managed to work our way to the top of the table. So bad you guys do not even know what it feels like so far (I doubt you'd ever this season anyway) and that's after all the noise of spending £65m to bring in players.

If we draw against Aston Villa, it still does not mean you will win the premiership. What you guys have not seen in the season yet in a team to go one or goals in front of you and you having to play catch-up. You find it hard to score goals against teams that have not scored you yet let alone looking for goals from behind. Chelsea has always matched that and you know it.

Let's see aw the season unwinds.
