I'll be in Dubai with my family for a few days from December 25. Any suggestions on tourist attractions that would be worth our while? We'll be staying in Bur Dubai for 3 days, then Deira for another 3 days. We also plan to visit Abu Dhabi briefly and return to Dubai same day.

The card option might be a better option cos changing Naira to Dollar here is a serious business 1 dollar - 175 naira instead of 159naira den geting to the UAE. And still converting to AED I guess the Loss would be more dan 1600naira. just an analytic suggestion

Yes; but it will dispense dirhams and not naira, we have address this issue before in the thread, if you choose to do the ATM level, below is what my friend paid when he used UBA Africard:

Amount withdrawn: 2000AED

Atm charges: #1,600 naira.

For every 2000AED the charges was #1,600 naira,in my opinion, it does not make economic sense, do the maths yourself, l will suggest you hold your money in US dollars, arrive and convert it to dirhams, that is the standard procedure with so many immigrants to the UAE,but, if you prefer to go with what your account officer told you, the choice is yours. I was told by my account officer dat I can witdraw money from my naira account any where in d world using my master card. Dos dat apply to UAE too? Cos I don't wannna carry cash and den find out that I can't use money on my master card

Guy keep running ooo. I have met same post around May this year and I tried working wit the guy but his own name was AYODELE CHARLES. He was/is based in lag I almost fell for him in paying the $500 but I decided to pay it cash to him, dats wen he began giving me stories that he is a busy man dat he can't fix a meeting that I should just pay d money to his account. Of which I almost did but wit Gods intervention I ended up using the 85k to buy a Dog that gives me joy till date.

justi4jesu: They sell their passport off when they become stranded after being duped by an agent and some persons they weren't well prepared financially thats why we advice people to hold minimum of $2000 whem embarking on their journey to the UAE.

justi4jesu: Thats exactly the advice we have been pointing out to intending travellers that they should be careful with their passports because once those scammers and fraudsters get hold of it, then it is the end because they will sell it out to others who intend to travel back to nigeria. Thats the business they do.

1. The immigration situation in the Country. If the Immigration laws are not friendly please dont even think of going there because you will suffer a lot of Shit if you dare.
2. Job opportunities in the Country if their unemployment level is anything you can do with.
3. Getting you Stay permit if is also flexible.
4. Tolerance and level of class divide.

With all this conditions i suggest Mongolia for any Nigeria who want to settle down on time in a Foreign Country.

From Mongolia you will get Visas to difficult countries like South Korea, Japan, Vietnam. ETC. getting Visas to travel from Mongolia is like buying crayfish. so i suggest Mongolia for all Nairalanders.

So how do I get a Mongolia visa?

justi4jesu: Yes the same thing the Local said that if its residence permit or direct Employment then they have no issue with it but they want to discourage and end the issue of illegal nigerians living here in the Uae.

So I would advice anyone luckily to have made it here in search for a job should do your search well in order not to go back without a job and be disadvantaged to make it here again because I dont see how many single persons would be willing to spend huge amount of money to bring himself and a parent all in the name of visiting the Uae for 2weeks or 1month.

Some persons find it hard to sponsor themselves talk more of sponsoring themselves and a parent.

Its absurd.
