DragnetisaKuk: Realme X2 Pro is not owned by Xiaomi. Realme is a separate brand that manufactures devices aimed at having high value for money just like Xiaomi's sub brand Redmi. Thanks for the education. It is no 9 on the list anyway |

FryMosquito: Xiaomi that is busy studying Nigerian market, when they will land fully, I don't think any brand will see their back for naija. This is my observations I just hope the prices do not sky rocket. When I got my phone, I had enough cash to get Apple or any other brand but I decided not to be stupid with the offerings. See the Antutu benchmark ranking for May. Xiaomi has 4 phones in top 10 worldwide for Android.

edoairways: I replied that dude who was salivating by implying that xiaomi has 20 persons. I saw your post on the marketing techniques of xiaomi, that strategy is good one however it takes time for it to work. Other competitors are watching and would come up with tactics to twart such effort. Xiaomi should better change their strategy before it is too late I get you perfectly now. |

edoairways: There are many persons that don't visit or know of nairaland, hence, relying on this alone doesn't count. I gave a simple illustration of the last presidential election, how Atiku was leading in polls but the reality was different. Those who mentioned me implied that this poll counts hence the reply The poll isn't a sample opinion of Nigerians. Nigeria is a country of around 2 million people. Nairaland is not even up to 2 % of that. So, we never said it is a representation. It only shows that the phone is gaining grounds, has support and loyal customers. If you had read the Op's opening line, you wouldn't need to have even said anything. Comparing politics to this was a wrong analogy. Politics is a game of sentiments and a lot if factors are involved. Also, politics is not a game of opinion but a game if numbers. It is only a fool that would have thought that Buhari would lose the election in the last polls. Most of the idiotas that voted online didnt even have a voter's card. |

edoairways: That is not the reality. The percentage of votes is insignificant when compared to millions of Nigerians in the villages, towns and cities. If you were to go by online poll, PMB wouldn't have won the presidential elections. These are facts I hope you read the OP well when he started the poll. If you had read him well, you wouldn't have said this. Moreover, for Xiaomi, a farely new brand to lead the polls says alot and you cannot downwash that with your inconsequential opinion. |

Mustiboy: Although the Nairaland phone doesn't necessarily reflect the market share of each smartphone brand's in Nigeria, this poll is still gonna go a long way in giving us an idea of how each is performing, in regards to customer loyalty, acceptability, to mention two.
Without mincing words, scroll down this page, find your chosen smartphone brand's logo, and like it to vote.
Who's in??
I'll updating the thread from time to time. Poll ends this time tomorrow.
Can mods move this to FP? The poll is just for fun anyway. Poll started 12:03pm. This is 1:15pm. Poll was supposed to close after 24 hours. Poll is over 1 hour due. Update the results and close the thread . The people have spoken. After that, do a rejoinder thread to be moved to the front page..... Title should read something like Xiaomi wins Nairaland phone poll |

snookcg: Xiaomi is certainly the new cool budget premium android phone. I bought the Redmi note 8 pro around march,2020 for 83k and have been able to upgrade to android 10. I sure say Xiaomi do mistake with that phone because the thing dey rock gorilla 5 glass front and back. Hahaha. No mistake at all. I'm a computer scientist and 1 year ago when my phone was stolen, I did a mad research for 2 months plus before I decided that Xiaomi was the way to go. My research started from Antutu Benchmark to non sponsored reviews on YouTube and so many other things. Truth is, Xiaomi is also highly respected in India. Indians are very tech savvy people and you cannot package trash for them at an exorbitant price because they know so much about phone build, processor etc etc. Apple has less than 2 % market share in India(a country of over 1 billion people). This is not because more people cannot afford it but because they consider the offering as trash based on the functionality. How can you sell a phone that comes with less than 3,000mah battery at a huge price? 16gig Rom too and some other useless specs. When you sit and look at the functionality of a Xiaomi phone and the build quality, you will wonder if the company even makes profit at all. Xiaomi offered a Gorrilla glass 5 at less than a 100k; something other phone variants will offer close to 200k. No lag, nothing at all on the phone. Phone never gets hot even when charging. Comes with fast charging. I also bought an extra 30W charger that charges so so fast. When people hold your phone, first thing they ask is.... What phone is this? , I like it! Xiaomi is the first brand I will see that users personally campaign for the brand without being paid because they are overly satisfied. Moreover, the poll has done justice! |

I am a phone freak and change phones every 8 months or so but this is the first phone that I have used for 14 months and counting without feeling the need to upgrade. Team Xiaomi/Redmi all the way! We share the same phone. Hahaha. This one will clock. 1 year in few days time. No issues. Nothing! |

You can use your data and time to attend to a more important issue though. OH... There were 2 questions. I see you were trying to confirm if he was the official marketer or not. How about the second one you said you will get back? Why was he banned and why is he yet to return? If they turn out with the same reply, then we can treat the account as someone who is doing this of his/her personal interest. What has this got to do with XiaomiNigeria being banned?? Did he say he is officially representing the company or did he dupe anyone Don't shift the goal post Oga. |

saipn: Elders in the house help me look into this questions QUESTION 1In the first sample, to get the top right number, You add whatever number you have on the bottom right to the number that is opposite it(top left) and then you multiply by the bottom right number again. From 1st diagram, bottom right = 3 number opposite(top left) = 1 3+1=4 now, this 4 will be multiplied by bottom right(3) to get top right = 12 Again, (7+2) x7 = 63 and again, (5+5) x 5 = 50 To get the bottom left number, You do (bottom right) - (top left) Whatever number you get, you then multiply by itself to get bottom left E.g 3-1= 2 2 x 2= 4 In second one, 7- 2= 5 5x 5= 25 in third one 5-5 = 0 0 x0 = 0 Solution to given question(X+3)x X= 40 X(X+3)=40 X 2+3X=40 X= 5 BECAUSE 25 +15= 40 Answer= 5QUESTION 2This one is straight forward. 2 numbers at the bottom when multiplied will give top left X x 3 = 21 x= 7 Answer= 7 |

Youngsage: Haha. Bro, you can imagine! A moderator that ought to be as civil as possible when attending to questions from forum users, knowing fully well that the forum users have varying comprehension of some of the NL lingua. A telecoms customer service rep will never shout/insult a caller no matter what the case, insult, vernacular etc. The worst they will do will be to transfer the caller to another rep! Simply because they are trained to do so. As for the mods on here... I reserve my comments. This one is so terrible I've been seeing a lot of back and forth with phone battles in here. I knew something was fishy when the Xiaomi thread was unjustly deleted. The bitter truth is that Tecno and Infinix manufacturers paid so much for marketing and that's why sometimes you see their threads being moved to the front page. They also pay all those phone reviewers money to do a video and before you say Jack, it is already on the front page because money has exchanged hands. I don't know how much they pay though. For a long time, Xiaomi brand had people promoting the brand even without being paid. Reasons being that they are having a good experience with the phone....which is an absolute truth. For example, I use the Redmi note 7 pro and as I talk to you, I don't even know where my charger is because this thing barely goes down. Moreover, it never gets hot even when charging. The charging itself is super fast. The speed is excellent with no lag or anything. The screen is a gorilla glass 5. I don't have a single iota of scratch on it and so many other things. I also have a 6 gig Ram and 128gig storage. Haba! I convinced some of my colleagues also and they bought the brand. Mind you, I made a research for more than 1 month before buying and no regrets. Back to the Mod..... They've been completely overwhelmed by the sudden change of table and I think the pay masters are beginning to query why the sponsored posts are not seeing the light of the day. So, this is part of their own way of handling the situation by deleting Xiaomi threads and banning XiaomiNigeria for opening a harmless post and asking harmless questions. Modified : I just received android 10 update. Another plus to Xiaomi |
