I will like to apologize for a big mistake I made on this thread.

I let my preference of some players get in the way of my Love for the Super Flying Eagles. I recognize I was wrong and I want to own up and apologize. I am not ready to drown in guilt.

This is a team we love because every player on the squad is a true Superstar. My eagerness for Chidera Ezeh and Godwin Saviour to come to the World Cup, made me celebrate the dropping of some players like OKon, Alfa and Pygbara. However, they are all part of the team. I was suppose to feel sad they lost their places and hope those selected make them proud in the competition.

There is no Superstar in the team, only a Superstar Team, including the technical and coaching crew. Every goal that happens is because of the team and not a player. When a goal is scored, we should not celebrate the player but celebrate the team.

Let us not watch out for a player to shine but the Super Flying Eagles to shine.

Fly Eagles Fly.
Lol. Apology accepted. I felt so bad Alfa didn't make that team. He was so excellent in that midfield.

II am not being critical of Coach Siasia as a person or a tactical mind. I am saying, this Super Flying Eagles team under Coach Siasia will lose their identity because he will fix in players who are not better than them. Vanzekin is an atrocious keeper. He was never going to turn into a top flight Goal Keeper. Obiora Nwankwo was never better than Alfa Yakubu in controlling midfield.

Catch Siasia has a second chance. If he tries tampering with this team, he will lose my respect.
I wanted to mention that Nwakwo guy the other time. Thanks for reminding me. That guy never got his spot on merit, he has god fathers, despite the way they pushed him into the teams, he doesn't still seem to be making it. If I open can of worms on this thread, a lot of heads will roll. Naija I hail!

The Flying Eagles eventually got to the finals of the under-20 World cup, after dispatching of the USA in the semi-finals, 2-1, off two goals scored by Mutiu Adepoju. The gallant Flying Eagles eventually lost to Portugal, in the finals, 2-0. But was adjuged by Nigerians, as having put up a very courageous effort at the World cup and thus surpassed the collective expectations of their country men and women!
The much plagued and taunted Coach Disu, at the reception, organised in Nigeria, to welcome back the gallant team, asked the Nigerian press the ironical question:" Where are those of you that said I wasn't tactically sound enough to tinker the Flying Eagles?" He got no reply! !
The essence of this narrative, is to motivate the nations' under-20 team, as they get ready to confront the world, at the under-20 World cup, in New Zealand. Nigerians expect this highly talented team to do well; and hopefully, with hard work, determination, the usual Nigerian never-say -die spirit and with lots of luck, a la" Miracle of Damaan," one has no doubt in his mind that this highly talented team would do well and hopefully go one step further than their 1989 and 2005 counterparts, by winning the much coveted trophy, for the first time, for Nigeria! This we hope and pray for.
UP FLYING EAGLES, UP NIGERIA !!!!!!
Thanks for the beautiful narration sir. Very interesting piece!

Was it Laddan who left Ajiboye on the bench for that nonsense Emeka Okafor?

Was it Laddan who dropped Ibrahim Rabiu on the bench at the World Cup. Ganiyu Useni was one of the best players of the team. Siasia did not invite him.
Yeah, sometimes, those coaches behave like sadists and that was why Keshi didn't allow Nacho play at the world cup( bad belle things). If you watch all these players well, you will observe that they understand the basics of football...their ball control and other skills are impeccable while same can't be said of our national team. A couple of my friends play football and usually get invited for national camps and I can authoritatively tell you that the worst coach so far was Henry Nwosu( no money, no camp).

the last time i watched him play in a competitive match was against Senegal@d AYC FINAL. He was played as lone striker. As I watched him play that night. I had that strong feeling that if he can keep his head cool it won't take much time before he reach stardom. He is good in holding d ball, a good positional player. His height is a plus. But I've not see him using his head.
Taiwo Awoniyi is quite good in the air. During the last Fifa U-17 world cup when our main striker was injured, Manu brought him in and the first goal he scored was a fantastic nodder which he placed well and that was the 3-3 equalising goal against Sweden.

I felt so bad when I saw that Abdullahi Alfa didn't make the team, that boy turns like a rubber, his left foot is so magnetic on the ball and he is an expert at sending do -loops. If a player of such calibre couldn't make the team, I can only imagine the top notch qualities of those that did.All the best to Alfa, all the best to the team..
PhonesRe: Nigerian Twitter Users Blasts MTN by naturalwaves: 12:04am On May 20, 2015
Mtn is a very useless network I must say. Last month, I subscribed for data plan ( night plan) + 1.5g daytime . Till it expired, I couldn't do anything meaningful with it even plain sites like nairaland and google takes ages to load and you can never use it to download, sometimes, the upload rate is always reading betwen 0 to 20kbps. Can you imagine? Their customer service is so useless and and those agents don't know anything and can never profer any solution to a problem, the only thing they know how to say is....we are sorry for the inconvenience okay? Even the engineers at the service centres don't know jack. Till the data plan expired, I was able to load google 6 times and nairaland 4 times and that was all. This same useless Mtn made me lose out in the last online competition as I couldn't load my answers till the time elapsed. When I laid my hands on an Etisalat modem, I couldn't believe my eyes....it was reading up to 1Mbps and even more and the speed was just too much. Etisalat is far better.

If d length of a square s increased by 20% while its width s decreased by 20% to form a rectangle, what s the ratio of the area of d rectangle to d area of the square
The side of the original square be X.
Original area of the square is (X)^2.
A part of it is incresed by 20% to make the lenght. Therefore, the new lenght is (20/100*X ) + X= x/5 +x = 6x/5
Likewise, the new breadth is X - ( 20/100*x) since ot was decreased.
Therefore , the new breadth is x/1 - x/ 5= 4x /5.

Now , area if the rectangle = lenght * breadth = 6x/5 * 4x/5 = (24x^2)/ 25.
Ratio of area of rectangle to square = (24x^2/25 )/ (x^2/1)= 24x^2/25 * 1/x^2=24/25. Therefore, the ratio is 24:25.

Two brothers invested a total sum of #5000 on a farm project.the farm yield ws sold for #15000 at the end of the season.if d profit ws shared in d ratio 2:3,whats d difference in d amount of profit received by d brothers
Profit made = 15000- 5000= 10,000 naira. It is this 10,000 that was shared in the ratio 2:3.

The first bro will receive 2/5 * 10000= 4000 naira.
The second bro will receive 3/5* 10000= 6000 naira.
Therefore the difference is 6000-4000= 2000 naira.

The only issue I find with the test is the poor network and inability to access the test. All those crap about instruction is shameful for a graduate like you.

From d argument so far I think itz a highly technical process.I ve read through d comments and dis are my observations.
1. d op made a case as regards d 1st instruction if followed judiciously of not being able to go back to no.17 because u must get to no.20 b4 answering.
2. you ar nt surposed to answer no.17 on getting there because d instruction says read all before answering. No.20 could av said don't answer any question and dat is d final instruction
3.Dis is d bomb. Anoda said dat on gettn to no to no.17 u wil get a congratulatory message 4 keeping to instruction so dis is likely d intended and if not they ar contradictory.
I must say "thank you" for following up the argument logically but those that got the congratulatory message according to the inside source must have gotten the message after selecting an answer for no 17 not just on getting to no 17. If an answer is selected for no 17 without getting to no 20, then the main instruction which states that all questions must be read before selecting any answer has been violated and that itself implies not following instructions which means that there is a conflict in the instructions and candidates were left between the devil and the blue sea. The truth is ...Sterling bank tried to prove smart by giving out a trickish test (there is no crime in giving a trickish test, infact I like such) BUT the trickish test wasn't well planned with respect to conflicting instructions and they only ended up embarrasing themselves. If the so called test pattern and instructions is subjected to a thorough analysis, they will come out wrong.

The truth is I'd have failed this test if I took it.

From my observation:

They expected candidates to read ALL questions before answering.

At no.17, you're to answer it(no.17) by virtue of 'obeying the last order'.

Putting a Back Button would have given those that realised their mistakes at no.17 the opportunity to return to previous questions and Uncheck their answers.

#MyObservation
That virtue of obeying the last order you mentioned is the scam and contradiction in the test instructions.

Bros.. You failed by not reading and following the instructions (I admit that i would have failed too)... Learn your lesson and move on. What do you even mean by "ultimate instruction"..
Next time read between the lines and follow instructions.. I have seen cases like this, some of my lecturers did something similar in school. If question 17 says that you are to answer this question, then answer... you dont really hit it when you say that it would have been wrong to answer 17 as a result of the "ultimate instruction". Just learn and move on..
If the instruction says you should make sure you read all questions before answering any, were you supoosed to answer question 17 without reading all first? You guys won't cease to amaze me with your yeye logic, the bank goofed as the instructionswere contradictory and you are hee defending a misinformation. Goibg by your logic too, questions 1-16 requires that a candidate choses one answer from four options, so, we are expected to discard the main instruction and keep on answering abihuh Your defence is weak sir, try another one.

I don't mean to offend anyone. But let us think about if applicants were to answer all the questions correctly don't you think that people will get someone else to attempt the questions for them as the test is unsupervised? I am of the opinion that that is a way of eliminating most of them and I don't think even the examiners knew that it will be as bad as this.
Yeah, there is a possibility of that happening and that is why companies usually organise a self supervised test after the one that was done remotely. UAC used the same method in the last recruitment they did.
