akoji1: Thanks man...I should brace up Yeah, and you have to be very careful at the training school, don't be carried away. You must not score less than 65% in each of numerous courses, you can retake a failed course just once and you must pass it the second time. You also have to follow all instructions strictly particularly during exams because once you err, you would be automatically dismissed and that's the end, they dismiss people at the slightest misconduct and this is not the time to go start dating your classmates, you need concentration. You will enjoy the training, the meals, the fun, outings etc. If you score best in any of the courses, you will get a gift. There are fantastics prizes for overall 1st,2nd and 3rd positions. All the best to you! |

I was gonna slap the OP if UNAAB (FUNAAB) didn't make the list. There is no how you will talk about best Unis in Nigetia and Funaab won't be there. Moreover, it is even underated. Funaab is far better than most of these federal unis on the list. |

2sExy1: Thanks bro. I understand every other process used to arrived at your answer which is mathematically correct but where I am confused is this. can you explain the mathematical principle used here:
You say Let 2^x = P. That's fine. But how is X then = sqrt P? Thanks. That's what we are saying bro. The rule I used there is wrong.I hurriedly tested it for two values and it worked, so, I didn't bother testing for other values again until mathefero pointed it out. I tested it for values of 2 and 4 . E.g. If 2^(X) = 4, I said X = sqrt 4 = 2 and if 2^ (X) = 16, X = sqrt of 16 = 4. Unfortunately, it was just a coincidence that we got the same answer as the rule is wrong. When you test it with 2 ^ (X) = 8, you know X is supposed to be = 3. If I now say, X = sqrt 8, I won't get 3.So, the rule I used is wrong and we have to find another way to solve that problem. |

mathefaro: I'm sorry bro, there's still an ojoro in your solution o. if 2x = p then x != sqrt(p) ( x is not a square root of p) you might want to check it out using numbers. 23 = 8 but the sqrt of 8 is not equal to 3. smiles Yeah, you are right, it should be if X^2 = P, the X = sqrt (P). That was what was on my mind. Although, I tested the rule with values of 2 and 4 and it worked, that was why didn't bother testing with other values again. Thanks for pointing it out. Men, I no go chop today o. |

Gerrard59: Use the inequality values to obtain some figures. When you plot the graph, if there is no break at all when you are drawing the linem then the function is continuous but if there is a break in the line, the function is not continuous. You can check online for how to go about it, I am sure there would be more than enough materials. If I am free and settled, I may attempt plottiing the graph too (not promising o) but if I do, will let you see it.
Thank you very much. Although we were told to plot a graph with the information, which is what I'm pondering. How will that be possible? |

A function of y={×, ×<_1} . . . . . . . . . . . . . . {2-×, ×>2}. Judge whether the function is continuous at ×=1. Differentiable at ×=1. Thanks for the assistance. . I think the function is continuous but not differentiable at x= 1 cos after differenciating f(x) , there was no place to slot in 1 at all as it gave outright figures. Check what I got below and review with colleagues as it has been long I did this.
