Please is there anyone here that recently got visa using a Credit Card in his or her own name?
Is it true that an applicant will be denied visa if the credit card is in the applicant's name.
Gurus in the house, please answer.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Naturelins1: 1:30pm On Jul 04, 2021
The reason why they were denied visa might be that they have not paid their full one year tuition fees or maybe the price of their accommodation is very expensive compared to that amount.
If you do the calculations on the amount needed for one year in the Polish website, it actually shows that 3m is enough for a credit card unless they don't use what they posted on their website shaa
necz:
What month did these people that you know who applied with 3M get VISA. I also know people who got visa with 3M last year and early this year. But as it stands NOT ANY MORE.

Except maybe the fellow you're talking about used 3M CC and Pay Slip together. That's the only thing I can think off and assume this your fellow did.

Just last week, a lady and a dude were denied with 3.7M and 4.6M respectively. So my advice just as GentleJin said Please get a CC limit of nothing less than 5M............But if you think otherwise then Goodluck

Are you serious?
How true is this please?
I saw so many people here saying that your sponsor must bear the same surname.
blessednendowed:
Your sponsor does not have to bear your same surname pls note
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Naturelins1: 12:07pm On Jun 21, 2021
Not everyone has someone that bears the same surname and earns such huge amount of a salary like 400k a month to act as a sponsor to them.
E.g my dad's salary is around 200k and I have no other relation with the same surname that can act as my sponsor, that's why I'm using the credit card option. I get your point but the sponsor stuff is also very difficult for some people.
blessednendowed:
Please note guys the problem with self sponsor is not that you cannot use self sponsorship. The issue is that self sponsorship can get complex and wrap you into a lot of mess if you do not handle it with care. Why? Because when you are self sponsoring you also have to show the source and you have to show continuous access to the required funds you need for your entire studies.

Having A sponsor with employment and using their payslip for example shows the embassy that there will be continuous access to funds needed for your entire studies because this person is a salary earner so there will be consistent income coming in.

Let me enlighten you on why self sponsorship gets complicated ok:

1. If you are self sponsored and you use payslips. This means you currently have a job. Therefore if you are going to use your own payslips, then you have to also accompany that with a leave of absence from work (meaning your boss has to permit you leaving for studies) and you have to proof that your job will still be guaranteed available to u when u return back to nigeria. Then remember that leave of absence has to be a a paid leave of absence because you have to show you will continue earning a salary even while you are away on studies.
You see how complex it gets when you are self sponsored.

2. Now if you are self sponsored and use credit card you still have to some how show how you got this money. Additionally, if you are using credit card and self sponsoring and you show enough money on the card for 1 year for example what happens to the other years of study how will you fund that. Do you see how self sponsorship may be complicated.

3. The one way I have seen self sponsorship kind of work and someone made mention of it here too I think @necz is if for example you if you get a credit card in your name and perhaps get a notarized letter from a sponsor stating within the letter that she or he funded your cc with the required amount. In essence it just helps to show the source of your funds.

Guys self sponsorship can be done but it gets messy if not properly handled as a result lots of denials occur with self sponsorship. Having A sponsor just makes things easier....

I hope it makes sense now..

Which school are you going to? University of Wroclaw?
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Naturelins1: 7:32pm On Jun 15, 2021
Please for someone going for two years masters program in Wroclaw Poland, how many months are we expected to do in the travel medical insurance stuff and which company is the best for that please?
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Naturelins1: 10:26pm On Jun 12, 2021
Please will 3 million Naira in a credit card account be enough for someone going for masters in University of Wroclaw?
I've already paid 3650 Euros for the first year and still have 3,500 Euros to pay for the 2nd year.
lindasweden:
A lot of people got their visas with N2 million (self-funded) because their tuition fees and accommodation appeared to be one of the cheapest in Poland. If you really understand the information on the Polish embassy website you would understand how easy it is to do it yourself. It is not all about a huge amount of money, but it is all about personalizing the calculation of the figures on the polish embassy website.

For example, the website states that:
7. Documents confirming the possession of financial resources to cover the costs of return travel and costs of stay in Poland (to be selected from the list - there is no obligation to present all of them). The minimum required amount of financial resources is as follows: 1) PLN 2 500 for the return trip, 2) the cost of accommodation shown on the basis of hotel or rental agreement, 3) PLN 701 for each month of stay (PLN 701 x 12 months = 8 412 PLN):

To personalize this according to your university, say the University of Opole,
return trip PLN 2,500 + Uni Opole student hostel PLN 390 per month X 12 months = PLN 4680 + living expenses PLN 701 per month X 12 months = PLN 8412. When you add all together the result will be = PLN 15592.
Using www.xe.com website PLN 1 = N112. So 15592 X 112 = N1,731,937.72Kobo
Source: Polish Embassy website. https://www.gov.pl/web/nigeria-en/d-type-national-visa

You see that it is not even up to 2 million naira. The above explanation is only going to favor the University of Opole admitted students if self-funded. The amount is expected to increase if someone is sponsoring you because that person is expected to have some money for himself after sponsoring you. This is what the polish embassy automatically expects you to know after reading their funding aspect.

Therefore, if you had read over and over this platform and didn't find the solution, have you read over and over the Polish embassy website?
Thanks.

Goodmorning all, I have a question please.
How do we book an accommodation and how many months are we expected to book if your program is for two years.
Secondly, are you expected to pay for the accommodation before getting to Poland?
Please the gurus here should assist me with an answer, thanks.
TravelRe: Polish Student Visa by Naturelins1: 8:46pm On Jun 02, 2021
But from what I've read on this thread, I don't think they accept Statement of Account. I already have up to 2.8 million in my account but everyone is talking about a credit card certificate. You can explain further please
lindasweden:
You really do not need to do any credit card thing. Just get someone or a family member who will deposit some money into your own bank account (between N1.5million to N2million). That will be enough for your Polish student visa application. You seriously do not need to show some transaction history in your bank account because you are just a student, and you are not applying for a business visa.

Good afternoon everyone, please can someone enlighten me on this Credit Card stuff.
Can I withdraw all my money or close the account immediately after getting the visa, and if I pay in like 3 million into the account, will I be able to withdraw the whole money or is there any amount that will held by the bank which is non withdrawable?
