You're welcome.
19CannyMum:
Thanks for responding. School has sent verification twice. Both email and courier.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 8:35pm On Feb 09, 2021
I tried all Nigerian banks cards, none seemed to go through, and a few friends said the same thing.
So a friend in the states helped me to pay while I paid the equivalent, she also helped some couple of friends too.
You can use anyone you know in the states
Debbieeeeeee:
Please what bank card did you use ? I’m asking for someone
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 7:48pm On Feb 09, 2021
I did mine recently, although I'm evaluating two certificates, I paid about #78k
crownchika:
Please who has applied for WES Evaluation recently? What is the current cost and what is the current exchange rate? Tnx.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 7:44pm On Feb 09, 2021
You should contact your school and ask them to verify they sent the transcript.. Without that verification from your school, WES won't continue with your evaluation.
19CannyMum:
Please has anyone ever been in a situation where WES rejected verification that was sent by courier? They acknowledged receipt but reverted application to 'on hold.' When I called they said they have requested for another verification from the school. (Ayam jes very very tayad).

JudiTee:
Oh wow, had no idea. Apologies for the post.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 2:06pm On Feb 06, 2021
Just to be sure, so one can automatically be nominated by a province once you're in the pool right?. Cos I have always thought you need to show EOI

AyeeshaB:
Even if you have 5 in all sections of IELTS, always enter the pool as soon as you can. There are various reasons such as tie breaker rule and even with low CRS a province can see you and give you nomination. Never waste time. the second you have your ECA and any IELTS score ready, enter the pool. You can always edit the IELTS once your new result is out.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 7:01pm On Feb 05, 2021
You won't be asked for any PCC, just fill the necessary details and get it sent to WES

aranymous:
Yeah I understand but my sister is still trying to get her WES done, she isn't entering the pool just yet.

Thank you

Just reference letter from your past or present employers.
Bank statement is just for 6 month, to check if you have the stipulated amount needed to fend for yourself when you get to Canada.

However, if you take your time to flip through the thread well, there are lots of infos you can easily digest cos things like this have been attended to.
Gracias

Emmafe:
Please to proof 3years work experience, will I be submitting 3yrs bank statement or just reference letter? Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 4:34pm On Jan 30, 2021
Okay, this is great. I'm also using the cambridge ielts 1 - 15 to prepare ahead.Yeah, asking for a remark for your writing alone won't hurt lol.
Thanks for the heads up, I've shot him a mail.

Princessayot:
I used Cambridge 11 - 15 to practice
Also Wasseynewest on nairaland here was a big help.
I did already ask for remarking for writing. Doesn't hurt to try
Thanks alot.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 3:32pm On Jan 30, 2021
Wow, this is beautiful. Congrats
How did you go about your preparation? A tip or more from you could be helpful.
And it would have been nice if you asked for a remark, just for writing alone so as to max out. Regardless, this is an excellent result. Kudos

Princessayot:

My 2nd attempt at IELTS and I aced it

ennybams:
Hi fam!

Please has anyone requested for transcript from unilag recently? Their portal isn't working here .

Also, please how do I upload my certificate on WES? Just pdf?

Lastly, for Canada express entry, does your grade of graduation matter .e.g. does a 2.1 get the same points as a 2.2?

Good morning to the gurus on here. I'll be needing a genuine advice from anyone with vast knowledge. Please kindly forgive my ignorance and help out if you can.
I intend starting my Canadian journey as well but the issue is I graduate on a third class cgpa of 2.07,Biochemistry. Although, I also featured and co-authored a project that was published. I really don't know if I stand a chance to gain an admission for an M. SC or Post graduate studies in any health related field. Please I really need to be enlightened so as to set my foot on the right track.

I remain loyal and willing to learn. Thanks

It's quite similar to what they have in kaplan's and other textbook. Just get a study material and study well if you really want to score high

tarantino1:
Thanks man.

Thanks so much ......
@Austacus kindly help comment on this once u come across it or anyone with an informed knowledge

Bracha:
The 100cad is okay.

For certification of transcripts, I don't know how that can be done. Austacus could you please help out here.
Thank you.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 8:51pm On May 23, 2019
@Bracha I decided applying to fawashe for a Graduate Certificate in Broadcast Journalism - Television News and i noticed one of the requirement for admission entry was scanned certified copies of university transcripts. My question is how do i get the transcripts certified?.....and i also noticed a deposit of 100CAD was to be deposited without refund, is the app fee not on a high sideor is it similar with most canadian schools?. Thanks.

PS: As regards your last question,he intended using an agent which I am against since i"m well grounded with how USA student admission and visas works. I would not want an agent milking money for things one could easily access on here since its rich with informations from experts like yours.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 10:38pm On May 22, 2019
Thanks so much for ur candid response. I guess with time i would acclamatise well.

I'm looking at PGD for journalism for him......would u be kind enough to guide me

Bracha:
Hello,

PGD or PGC would be his best option in my opinion.

Transcript evaluation is dependent on the school he chooses.

What abbreviations are confusing?

He graduated from a university in Cotonou and had a gpa of 2.63. my question is can he go for an M.sc with this or should he shoot for a PGD?. Also i know when applying to schools in USA one needs to evaluate his transcript through evaluation bodies but i dont know if the same rules applies to schools in Canada?. kindly help out on this as the abbreviations i see on here is quite confusing. Thanks

Well if you are going by air. Once your plane touch down. Walk outsude to the cab region and take a cab to Gariki , Area10 behind Nipost. You would be charged around 3k for the cab fare but i paid 1k5 it all depends on ur negotiating skills and if other passengers would join you. Once you are Gariki Area 10 , ask of Optimal hotel, they charge 6k but i negotiated for 5k. Its about 5 mins walk from the hotel to the embassy or u can take a napep for #50 . I hope this helps. Gracias

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 12:45am On Mar 14, 2019
Wow ...I'd bet your last four semesters results must have been superb since i heard this also aids in increasing one's gpa during the evaluation

BigUgo21:
Your problem is solved.
Just relax! I had similar cgpa of 2.05/5.00 then after my wes evaluation, it resulted to 2.70/4.00. And that my cgpa fetched me admission at Morgan State University and Bowie State University for masters degree. (their deadline is April Ist). If you must evaluate, you're strongly advised to use www.wes.org
Going for a second bachelor's is not an option (my advice though). Hey keep moving forward!!!
hope this helps!

I'm always intrigued when i see people of great intellect...I wonder why applicants were busy worrying as regards the information....its not like they got a mail to notify them on a hold on visa appointments....Nevertheless more blessings to ypu bro and Happy new year Y'all. #SuccessStories

What is being referred to here are the American Centers which are cultural/research centers that are part of the Embassy and Consulate in Abuja and Lagos respectively. It is the American Centers that are closed and that's why patrons(member) were singled out for apologies(Are visa applicant patrons) ?. Normal consular activities, Visa interview, and issuance are not affected. At least for the time being. This is the link to the American center someone posted earlier. https://ng.usembassy.gov/education-culture/american-centers/

Votes wey dem go rig again....well so as not to digress, i pray the genuine ones who intend to study gets their visas approved and hopefully someday we wont need to troop out of our country to a no man's land.

Pefuele:
But I may not totally agree because when PMB went to Paris he told them that they can't vote until they return to Nigeria. So one can infer he may actually want people to stay for elections. However,PMB's desire for people to stay may be unconnected with VISA denials...we can take a 1percent truth in it...
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 9:25pm On Dec 21, 2018
I can't say if this is genuine or not but the reason stated which proposes that PMB asked visas not to be issued due to elections that are up coming seems awkward and invalid.

Pefuele:
Somebody gave me an info that the US ambassador had a meeting with PMB and that he told Buhari that most naija dey use Canada seek asylum via the US and that most naija no dey return.According to the info the percentage stands at 85% wey no return. PMB told the ambassador not to give visa easily in a way to allow more Nigerians vote in February ,2019.I don't know if the source is genuine, though!
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 7:31am On Dec 21, 2018
All you'd need is a new i20 indicating the term tou deferred to.

Beauideal:
Okay thanks. Also is it possible for me to get visa for spring and decide to resume same course in fall?Like even after getting the visa (let's say) but I defer and resume fall
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Naughtyvirgin(m): 11:51pm On Dec 20, 2018
You welcome bro...
As regards the letter...i mailed tge admission officer again today stating clearly how it takes atleast 3days for an approved visa to be picked up...the date got extended to 14th....i can get to leave on 13th after picking it up and reach the states in the morning of the 14th hopefully.

Oegbeyem1:
thanks bro. Tell your school to help you extend that 13th small na to aid your interview. Was it your grad coordinator that told you 13th. You know receiving passport after issued visa takes about 3 business days.
