austino677: embassy approved agent? Lol Yes, there are embassy-approved agents or should I say visa application, centre-approved agents, and they can get earlier dates for appointments. For example, my first ever Schengen visa was for a class trip to France; I could not get an appointment date; I reached out to the embassy, and they shared a list of travel agents through which I could apply. I have at least witnessed this in London and Ankara. They are agents that the VAC at least recognises, and they can get earlier dates and submit applications on behalf of applicants. P.S So I just checked my email and found the initial email I got. It's actually from the VAC, and it clearly states that the embassy accredits the agents.

Apriltreasure: Hello guys, I filled my France visa application form online my departure date is 1 August, I was told to make an appointment with the “FSA” but there are no appointment dates available till 27 July and 8 August in Lagos.. I don’t know if I should go there without an appointment.. I live in Benin I don’t want to risk traveling to Lagos or Abuja just to be ignored please what else can I do? Change your travel date. If you have already submitted, then fill out a new form. If you really don't want to shift your trip then use an embassy approved agent; they can get an earlier date for you. |

jesuisroya: (Urgent please, Thanks).
Hello everyone. Can someone please tell me if it's OKAY to book a hotel for my visa application even though my sister and her family live in the UK? I plan to travel with my two kids and my mum. My sister is in Birmingham with her family. It's taking time to get the required documents from her so I think I would rather book a hotel. Can I book a hotel in London, or in Birmingham? I'm okay with either cities. Do I have to write a letter explaining why I won't stay at her place? Thanks for your kind responses. You can book a hotel. You do not need to explain why you are not staying with her. Instead, you can mention you intend to visit your sister during your stay (the additional information section of the form should be adequate for this) and this is if you intend to do so. If it helps you, I have some family too in the Uk, and when I travel if I am not staying with them, I indicate that I intend to stay at a hotel or Airbnb wherever I am staying and I say this to the ECO. I also mention that I intend to visit my family. |

puffmama: Both are important, that balance isn't enough, you need to have enough for your ticket , accomodation , shopping and local transport and a lot more as you are not expected to finish all you have on a vacation. Not necessarily true about the balance. People have gotten UK visas with similar account balance. OP circumstances plays a big role. Someone that earns for example 450k or thereabouts with a 600k account balance would possibly get a tourist visa, other factors being constant. Perhaps OP can give more details about their circumstances if they want to. That said, I find it interesting when people ask these questions. It's like solving maths from the answer to the question. You want to make a trip, then you should be able to realistically know how much money you need for that trip. No one can determine that for you. Based on that estimate you will be able to know how much will be enough. |

thank you. Food is in my bucket list as well.
I intend visiting another city. Among rome, Barcelona, Madrid and Amsterdam, which do you think will provide best value? Like where I’ll have more stuffs to see and activities to do? I love Italy! So I would lean towards Rome, if you are religious too, Rome is a good option for some sort of spiritual retreat. Barcelona and Madrid are quite lovely(I haven't been to Barcelona or Madrid but I have heard great things). In Amsterdam you can really LIVE.... |

modskiller: The France, Switzerland and Italy, were they on one visit swoop like you getting a SCHENGEN for one of them and visiting the others??
One thing I learned from your Morocco post is that Morocco is easy to get rather than pay any useless agent.
Then as for going to Morocco I can get a Transit visa of Turkey (Kindly advise if possible) when I go via Turkish Airlines.
Also if one can get a Transit Visa for Holland or France or UK, can one choose any of KLM, Airfrance or Virgin Atlantic (please advise)
Also check your email. I sent you a DM Something like that, I hold a multiple-entry Schengen visa. Most of the Schengen States weren't done at a go. For example, Croatia was in January, and Switerzland was in March. As someone who travels on a Nigerian passport, I try to ensure that I always have an active UK, US or Canada visa. It helps with issues of transit. When travelling, I also try to opt for the most direct flight. It saves one headache, so for Morroco, I would recommend Royal Air Morroco as it takes you directly to the kingdom without any layovers. If you have a US, Canada, UK or Schengen visa, I think you can do an e-visa for turkey as a Nigerian passport holder. I hope this helps. |

All in all, I reckon I have been to maybe 20 countries.

Is it possible that one gets a tourist visa to Vietnam for a week or two?

Uchepresido: Good day house. Please I need advice on how to soften my multiple visa refusal from other countries. I wish to apply for UK visa but I have been denied Australian visa twice and USA visa once. My wife has gotten her study visa and has started her education there since February 2022. now I and my 2 children want to join her there. How do I put it so that I don't look desperate? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You are not desperate, you are reuniting with your family. Present it as it is. |

AdesinaOBD: You guys keep saying don't forget.
But please, i need a detailed response.
*The questions again* If you once applied for (lets say) france visa like 4 years ago and got denied. Then now you applied for a uk visa but didn't mention your visa denial from france because you felt, the denial is not from uk... Are you still in line? or you have to mention. And how do this ECOs find out your past visa denials. Is English hard to comprehend? Is the denial question UK specific? Countries share information and not declaring a refusal is a ground for visa refusal. If you don't want to declare it, then you don't have to, each to their own. |

modskiller: Yes. I saw your post on the thread. It was short, simple and precise enough.
I was saying if you had boarded Lufthansa airlines you’d have had a stop over at Holland before the take you to Marrakech or Morocco.
Same airline would have picked you up from Morocco and taken you to France before they finally bring you back home.
This would boost your passport strength as regards travel history. Oh okay, that makes sense. |
