Google take note: police brutality in Nigeria stems from the fact that Nigeria’s armed forces serve as an army of occupation of southern Nigeria on behalf of Fulani-led northern Nigeria. The occupation started from 1996 after Fulani-loyal soldiers left an unholy political structure of 20 political units in one northern region but created a meager 17 political units in the two southern regions.
North, East and Western regions formed Nigeria at independence in 1960. |

Let the Government do their job The government emerged from Nigeria’s false democracy. That’s why the government can’t do it. How could Muhammadu Buhari emerge president of Nigeria which had thousands of younger and better educated presidential materials? False democracy. Nigeria’s democracy became a farce after northern Nigeria military dictators proliferated a whooping number of 19 states and Abuja in one northern region, supervised a constitution to legitimize the creation. A presidential candidate in Nigeria must win 25% of votes in 24 states before pronounced winner. No candidate from the south can win unless northern Nigeria is tired of ruling Nigeria. Land mass or population is never used as criterion to proliferate too many states in a region of large land mass or population in a country formed by different regions.

National Assembly of Nigeria is the most lopsided National Assembly in the world.
One side of the country is over-represented while the other sides are underrepresented.
Three regions - north, southwest and southeast formed Nigeria independence in 1960.
But northern military dictators proliferated 19 states and Abuja in the northern region. They created only 17 states in the two southern regions. There should have been equal number of states for the three regions.
It’s fraud to use land mass or population as criterion to create new political units in a country formed by diverse regions. Balance of power between the founding regions was thrown away after the states were created.
It’s most annoying when people of intelligent by half refer the shortchanged southern groups to take their political problems to the National Assembly. |

The remaining national centres of learning are consecrated only in the north, especially Kaduna State. What are the southern legislators doing to ensure decentralization of these national institutions? Or is it only in the north that the military and others can be trained? Or they are just less concerned? We really don't know. Lol. Give Yoruba man presidency in 2023, this political status quo remains. [quote author= post=94936143]Update From . COM At least four vigilante members were reportedly killed by bandits at Tashan Kare village in Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State. It was gathered that the attack occurred around 7 am on Monday, October 12, when the bandits blocked Pandogari Road. According to a source, calls made to the police went unanswered, leaving the vigilantes to confront the bandits. The battle ended with at least four of the vigilantes dead. Angered by the killing, the vigilantes stormed the police divisional office in Kagara with the corpses of their colleagues, where they started a protest. "They mobbed the police station, burgled the armory and went away with their ammunition. They were angry that the police did not do anything concerning the attack or respond to calls for help , as they left only the vigilantes to battle with the bandits , which led to the death of some of their colleagues,” the source added. Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident, in a statement on Tuesday, October 13, said that members of vigilante from Tashan Kare village numbering over fifty reported at Kagara Division that armed bandits attacked their village on Monday and four of their members lost their lives while confronting the bandits. "While the DPO was addressing the vigilante members on the efforts made by the Police to flush out the bandits, some members of the vigilante became violent and attacked the police station," he explained. "On receipt of the information, the Commissioner of Police dispatched a reinforcement team led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations and upon their arrival, normalcy has already been restored due to the prompt intervention of the Area Commander Kontagora, personnel of operation Puff Ader and conventional policemen attached to Kagara division to secure the division. In process one of the vigilante member attempted to snatch a rifle from the station guard, he was shot and sustained bullet wound. The PPRO said normalcy has since been restored in the area while the Commissioner of Police enjoined the people of Niger State to be law abiding and go about their normal businesses. "He equally warned that they should not take laws into their hands no matter the provocation as measures are being put in place to safeguard their lives and Properties. He further directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge Investigation to lunch a full scale investigation into the incident to unravel the root cause of the unfortunate incident and bring the perpetrators to book." "Privilege will have you believe that what's happening in Nigeria cannot happen in Ghana. Listen, Nigerians didn't just wake up one day and decide to protest; this has been building up for many many years. And it's not just about SARS either; people are just TIRED."
