Hello everyone. My BB browser has been unable to browse for 2 days now. Refuses to load pages and gets stuck with d blank white page. Iv reset my battery several times and confirmed d correct browser settings, yet it still does not browse. My opera mini browses though. What do I do? |
Although no litigation outcome is certain, but with the govt not having refuted that 1. The school came to life tru an Act of Parliament 2. The said Act provides for the name 3. The common law on procedure to amend any section of an Act is to come b4 d Parliament 4. They did not approach the NASS it makes d case for d students easier. And mark my words, d first issue FG will bring in defence of d suit would be a preliminary objection challenging d locus standi ( the right to sue) of the 10 students. If d students surmount that part, d ride becomes easier. |
freecocoa: The mumuness\mumuism of these ones know no bounds.I strongly disagree wit u. This is a democracy. Aggrieved persons are always encouraged to approach d courts rather than take laws into their hands. Weda dey lose or not is another matter. If every Nigerian stood up for his right like this, we wud hv been in a better situation dan we r now. It wil curtail govt arbitrariness if these boys win in d end. |

My friends, I want to buy a car from Cotonou. I don't want to pre-order or send someone. I want to go myself but I would need someone wit sound knowledge of d market to help me make a choice. I will pay of course. If u r interested, my email is blankdem@yahoo.com. I don't want to make a mistake again. Thanks. |
When Alams escaped from prison, did people not celebrate him by dancing and singing? When Ibori was to be captured here in Nigeria by security forces, was it not youths that resisted d attempt and allowed him escape? When Nyesom Wike was invited to be questioned by EFCC for very serious corruption charges, was it not Rivers people that waited for him at d airport wit banners and drums? When Ibori was taken to court here in Nigeria, was it not a man that acquitted him? And did Deltans whom he stole dia money not rejoice? When Bukola Saraki was to go and answer questions concerning his role in graft, was it not human beings that sewed special dresses in solidarity? Wen a man is accused of corruption, wat does d man on d street who is even more affected say: leave am alone, bad belle! Wen u vote a candidate based on 'na our turn' witout considering his criminal records(like Ibori who was a 2-time convict in d UK already) what do u expect? That someone like Ibori will be visited by 'd spirit of leadership'? We already have d leadership we deserved. We deserve d leaders we have |
jamace: Whether elected or selected, once you get into leadership position, the spirit of leadeship should take control of you. You no longer have an option but to lead and lead well.If a man was not honourable b4 becoming a leader, he will not also be honourable as a leader. Do they attend special leadership courses wen sworn into office? As a man thinketh, so is he. Y do u suppose dat an office will fundamentally alter a man's lifelong xter and make him a better man? It even becomes easier to be a bad man because of d trappings and effect and effizy of naked, raw power. It is easier for a gud man to turn bad wen in office than for a bad man to turn gud wen in office. In fact, I bet u to giv any example of d latter. I can fill e-space with examples of d former. How many student union bodies are really sincere n accountable wen it involves money? Yet tomorrow they will turn social activists and start lambasting govt for corruption. If u dip ur hand in a bowl of rotten fruits, it is impossible to get a good fruit. Where will d transition from bad to gud occur? In ur hands? |
Wat is all d fuss about? It is a normal security and routine check. What does she expect? Is it not her brothers and uncles who are suicide bombers from Palestine who joy in killing Israelis? Abeg let her keep quiet! She knows d precarious security situation israel finds herself. Does she not read d news everyday? They shd welcome her with garlands witout subjecting her to checks? What if she had bombs? If Abdulmuttalab were so interrogated, would he not hv been discovered? Abeg, she is a Palestinian and there default settings is Israel-hatred and terrorism. Security shd not be sacrificed for courtesy. Hope she doesn't make another visit! |
Onyocha: you people should be deceiving yourself and supporting brutality and crimes against humanity because your "god" is jewish.foolish people.U are talkin rubbish, and in abundance too. How can u prove that d land belongs to d Palestinians? That u choose to align ur pitiful self wit lies, unfortunate propaganda, and murderous elements that characterise Palestine, does not mean ur opinion must be right. Check ur history well b4 u comment. And mind u, I am a Jew- and Israeli-lover. Makes no diff wat u say. The truth is dat all that land is Eretz Yisrael and no one will force them on d 3rd exile again. Never! |
BlackPikiN: I want to believe boko haram is responsible for this crash.I think u r a human experiment gone wrong. |
Is GEJ now an obsession? I mean, do we bash him for d fun of it or because we really need change? If we need change, den I tink we shd be constructive in criticisms and offer credible alternatives. And we shd remember that he is d head of d nation. Let's try a little respect and objectivity. Many of u here who wudnt get jobs as shoe-shiners wil always jump at d chance to insult d man and his office. Criticise wit objectivity, not personal vendetta. The bashing game is getting boring. We don't talk of anytin useful anymore: we now spend all available e-time trying to outdo each other in GEJ-bashing. Would u insult ya fathers like that even if he did wrong? Even d Bible says we shd rebuke older men with respect. Haba! |
DaLover: The looney's are at it again...well all other attempts to rubbish GEJ's character have failed woefully so far...lets see how fat this one would go.I am totally indifferent to d accusations coming from El-Rufai. But do not for one minute think d smear campaign, sadly, is not working. GEJ doesn't command one-third d popularity he had as recently as December. If he were to hold popularity polls now, he wud be shocked at how down south his approval rating has dropped. |
dadicvila: If 1 IDF soldier dies the 1,000 terrorist must die....No story....ShalomHave u checked d news as of this morning? Israel Airforce has hit two arms factories in Gaza as well as three other targets. |
Head of Egypt's prison service confirms former dictator suffered heart attack while being taken to Tora prison after being sentenced to life in prison Roi Kais Published: 06.02.12, 16:48 / Israel News Tweet Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak suffered a heart attack just moments after being told he would spend the rest of his life in prison, the head of Egypt's prison service confirmed Saturday. The general said that Mubarak had suffered the attack upon arrival to the Tora Prison by helicopter and was treated by medical staff. The al-Youm al-Sabaa newspaper reported that his condition had stabilized. Related stories: 'Mubarak's sentence too light' Ben-Eliezer: Mubarak's blood was let Mubarak sentenced to life in prison Earlier, Egyptian media outlets reported that Mubarak suffered "a health crisis" upon arrival at prison. "Mubarak was afflicted by a health crisis upon his arrival at Tora Prison and is being treated in the helicopter," the report said, quoting a medical source, referring to the helicopter that transferred him to the jail. Egyptian website al Misrawi quoted a security official as saying that Mubarak, 84, refused to get off the helicopter, and that he broke into tears upon arrival at Tora Prison. Meanwhile, Al-Arabiya TV network reported that Mubarak refused to leave the ambulance that transported him to the prison hospital. According to the report, Mubarak was heard saying "Allah will settle his account with them…I served this country." Al Arabiya also reported that Suzanne Mubarak, the wife of Hosni Mubarak, fainted after hearing the verdict. Earlier on Saturday, Mubarak, who governed Egypt for 30 years before a popular uprising toppled him last year, was sentenced to life in prison on Saturday for complicity in the killing of protesters during the January 2011 uprising. Mubarak was acquitted on all graft charges. Reuters contributed to this report

Adehwale: Lets not decieve ourselves, the name can neva be changed, the president of d country has announced his decision and he will never want to loose his credibility on this issue...But he will happily lose credibility on issues of Boko Haram. Did he not reverse himself wen he banned d Super Eagles, wen common FiFA threatened him? And which credibility does he have by d way wen everytime he is enmeshed in one corruption scandal or d other? |
guonno: (private school is almost dead in anambra and rivers state)Y not be sure of ur facts b4 u comment? I live in Port Harcourt. Which public school is thriving? U confuse media self-glorification of politicians with the reality on ground. I can safely conclude that u hv never been to Rivers State b4. Don't get carried away by d news: most times it's all abacadabra and razzmattazz. |
odiaero: If this is true, then that man must be crazy, has any of u been to delta state? No work is done, bad roadsU are a loser, daz all. Bad belle! |
Myself2: Your father,I will lecture you on Egyptian history and politics. You must be a daft dolt to assert the the muslim brotherhood's candidate is the best for all EgyptiansHe doesn't understand all d strands of Egyptian, Mid East, and world politics. Those ones are just Lagos or Ibadan champions. Ignore him. What does he know? |
stagger: You are obviously not watching the scenes of jubilation on Al-Jazeera and other stations.A woman who divorced her husband for being a drunkard will surely rejoice on d day of her remarriage to another man: until she discovers that he is a wife-beater. That is Egypt's lot now. |
Myself2: How many Egyptians are rejoicing?Mubarak is the best president those Egyptians have had so far.He had no option but to rule with an iron fist as he knows his countrymen, being fellow arabs are a problematic lot, especially as mambers of their military gruesomely assasinated Mubaraks boss,Sawdat right before his own eyes, infact he was lucky to escape then with his life.U r so right! Most Nigerians commenting here seem to see d issue as one of simple choices. It is not, at all. The problem with a revolution like d one in Egypt is d slim chance of d emergence of real democratic alternatives. Now they are rid of Hosni, what choices r they left with? A hard-core Islamic extremist on d one hand, and Hosni's Prime Minster on d other hand. They hv to choose between a rock and a hard place. If d Muslim Brotherhood candidate wins, it will mean a rapid Islamisation of Egypt and also, an extremist, anti-liberty, totalitarian Islamic govt and cabinet. Freedom will be severely curtailed. The secular nature of Egypt will be history. And, more worrying is d prospect of hostilities or even outright war with neighbouring Israel, if d Muslim Brotherhood's body language is to be read correctly. Soon, Egypt might find itself in d mold of countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran where citizen's rights(esp women's rights) are severely curtailed in d name of Islam. On d other hand, a Shafiq-led govt is just a continuation of d Hosni era. Thus, they would be voting in Hosni Mubarak's proxy. It will be a throwback to d same regime they shed bllod to oust. The only gud tin here is dat d new leader will not be eager to start hostilities or war wit Israel and wil uphold d Camp David Accords. So what really changed in Egypt? Nothing much! That is d problem with revolutions: who comes next? If I were to vote though, I'd vote Shafiq. |
In theory, everyone is equal b4 d law. But in practice, it is d highest form of naivety to expect that everyone will be treated equal. And lack of discernment brings grief. Even in heaven, d 12 apostles have streets named after them. The poor man had to take solace in Abraham's bossom. I think next time he will be more discerning. If na Major-General military car park there, will he rush to clamp d tires? Poor man wey wan make name! |
The FRSC man was too overzealous. |
Silva79: And some idiots elected dis man? Nigerians aint u tired? We need a revolution ASAP...in a sane country dis bullshit cant happen. I wish i could lay my hands on some guns and bombsWat r u waiting for? U want someone to encourage u first? |

Okimski: The truth is, I have followed This matter very closely both in naira land and other media. Every body is giving their own opinion on where to name after Abiola.
