wirinet: Lets examine the figures.
The total number of votes cast is about 400,000. The total number of registered voters is About 1.8 million. This means about 23% of registered voters that voted or allowed to vote.

The APGA candidate won with 174,000 votes. This means 9.6% of anambrains voted the governor into office.
It also means that out of the total population of about 5million, only about 3.5% of the population is going to be responsible for putting the governor into office.

Meanwhile, the main political parties - APC, PDP and APGA has at least 10,000 members in each local government, and we are told there are 21 local governments in Anambra. So each of these parties should score at least 200,000 votes from their members in the elections, how come we are having abysmally poor voter records? Didn't the ordinary Anambra citizen vote at all? Is it that Anambra people are not politically sophisticated and so they refuse to participate in elections. Or they were deliberately disenfranchised by INEC.

Please anambra brothers help us solve these riddles, it might help towards the 2015 elections.
wrong analysis. your figures are wrong guesstimations, many people follow more than one party during campaign and rallies only to be loyal to one or none at the final stage. you think some of the people you saw at APC were not at APGA ,PDP & Lp rallies?

Having read the above, I had to ask;

Is he not from delta state? what was he expecting? Is he a learner? shouldn't he know better? was he not the one who said if PDP was the last party on the planet, he would not join?

After this, he MAY join some of us who maintain that PDP is NOT the problem in Nigeria; but Nigerians.

Maybe it's time to return to his chamber.. because in Delta state politics if you don't join them, you are on our own.
Politics › Keyamo Accuses Delta APC Of Fraud, Pulls Out Of Senatorial Primary Election by ndcide(op): 10:48pm On Sep 25, 2013
Mr. Keyamo wrote a petition to the APC leadership.

A Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress leaders who organised a primary election to choose the party’s candidate for the APC Delta Central Senatorial Bye-Election.
Mr. Keyamo, an aspirant for the APC ticket, described the primary as “nothing but a sham that is packaged, rigged and concocted to favour my opponent, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.”
In a letter to leaders of the party, he listed several reasons for his conclusion and pulled out of the primary election.
Read Mr. Keyamp’s letter below

The Chairman,
APC Delta Central Senatorial Bye-Election
Primaries’ Committee,
Attn: Senator Osita Izunaso,
DECISION NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE APC DELTA CENTRAL SENATORIAL PRIMARIES FOR THE 2013 SENATORIAL BYE-ELECTION
My name is Olorogun Festus Keyamo. I am an aspirant cleared by the All Progressives Congress to contest the primaries for the 2013 Senatorial bye-election in Delta State.
I have taken a painful but necessary decision not to participate in the primaries to be organized later today at Ughelli because the whole exercise is nothing but a sham that is packaged, rigged and concocted to favour my opponent, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor. The following are my reasons:
(1) That the exercise was preceded on the 24th of September, 2013 by registration of limited number of members of APC in Delta State since there were no registered members before now, being a newly registered party.
(2) That in the said exercise, it was agreed with members of your committee that the slots for the registration cards for the new members would be distributed evenly between former members of the merging parties in each local government area. The said defunct parties are ACN, ANPP, CPC and a faction of DPP.
(3) That, however, when the materials arrived the venues, thugs loyal to my opponent, hijacked the materials, beat up the officials and took the materials to unknown places (outside the approved venues) to fill up the registers and cards. The L.G.As where no formal registration took place at all are Sapele, Ethiope West, Ughelli North (which is the local government area of my opponent) and Ughelli South. Partial registration occurred in Ethiope East before the thugs of my opponent disrupted the scene and carted away materials.
(4) That I have met formally with some members of the committee and asked for the outright cancellation of those L.G.Aswhere no registration took place at all and for us to proceed with the primaries with the L.G.As where registration took place.
(5) That I was however just told this morning by the Committee that full registers of registered members have surfaced in L.G.As like Sapele, Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Ethiope East with strange names.
(6) That I and my supporters do not know how and when these registers were filed up and membership cards issued. This is because my supporters stayed at the registration venues in these L.G.As till late in the night before they went home.
(7) That in the circumstance it becomes a worry to me and my supporters to go into a contest where they were not given an equal chance to register to vote for someone of their choice.
(cool That it is disappointing that the Committee members of the APC connived openly with my opponent to allow such a brazen rape of free choice and democracy to take place.
(9) Other open acts of bias on the part of the APC Committee are:
(i) The venues for registration were not known to me and my supporters, despite repeated demands, up till about 11:00am on the day of the registration whereas, my opponents supporters had filled the venues as early as 6:00am.
(ii) The venue for the sham primaries was not made known to me, despite repeated demands until about 12:00noon today, whereas my opponent’s supporters had thronged the venue as early as 6:00am today.
(10) In the circumstances, I boldly say that any result that comes out of today’s exercise will be a colossal fraud and waste of time. Please, count me out.
This is a notice that no vote should be cast or counted in my favour in the today staged-managed process.
A copy of this letter is being sent to the Interim National Committee of the APC.
Yours sincerely,

OLOROGUN FESTUS KEYAMO

@ double27,
Yes is the answer to your question.

You could get started by visiting www.plctalk.net as yang stated and study some of the threads . you could register for an online training. there are some very good organisations that offer online training. I could link you to some. you could also go for some training here in Nigeria.

However PLC is not about just having certifications. it's a serious business. to be good, it requires so much hard work and consistency. besides certifications don't make a good engineer; that's why I'm seeking apprenticeship.

Ogas at the top, please help me this is an area I love to build my career.
Career › Re: I'm Seeking Apprenticeship In Automation.. Any Suggestion? by ndcide(op): 8:21pm On Aug 05, 2013
nchewi: wot's automation?
#i like ur spirit.
Automation is actually the use of mechanized control systems and information technology to coordinate a process or simply the use of machines. It is most times referred to as Process control. This control system is applied in almost all production/manufacturing factories. (Pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, constructions companies, automobile companies, oil and gas especially relating to drilling) In fact, anywhere electro mechanized system is applied.
Like it is said, the use of machines is to perform tasks and make work easier. Therefore, applying automation is simply to increase productivity in a process and have quality beyond what is possible with human labor.

Since modern automation is controlled by PLCs (programmable logic controllers) I had to learn the programming of PLCs. PLCs are electronic components having both hardware and software used to perform control functions. The automation of many electromechanical processes, such as the movement of machinery on an assembly line or manufacturing system is done through the use of PLCs. PLCs are programmed based on how they are expected to function.

Let me stop here before I become incoherent. I just left Ajah traffic. The point of my thread is that I have a working knowledge that I want to build on. So I’m begging the automation engineers visiting this forum to help me get a place for apprenticeship or internship. I want to build on my capacity, gain real industrial experience. I may not worry about being paid. I will even pay to have such opportunity anywhere.

So bros, can you be of help?

It's all in the attitude, need i say more ?

Employers nowadays, don't train. If you can gather experience FOC, why not ?
[quote author=GboyegaD] That is what most graduates nowadays don't understand. My youngest sister just got a job with a good IT firm for training without pay and she was asking if she should accept the offer. I had to gladly accept responsibility for her well being and transport fare this season telling her that the key thing is to garner experience. People should start embracing unpaid internship as it pays off in the long run.
Sir, This idea rarely work. I and some folks have tried pulling such stunt years back; The managers 'ill hardly take you seriously.
@Gboyega, Believe me, your sister is one lucky one; out of ten thousand. Besides, I doubt she made that request / application herself.

Politics › NULGE Vows To Vote Out ACN In S/west Declares 3-day Warning Strike by ndcide(op): 2:45pm On Jul 27, 2013
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has vowed to mobilise against the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) or any political platform it dissolves to and ensure that the party is voted out of power in the South-West and any other parts of the country because of its open opposition to local government autonomy.
NULGE, making the declaration on Friday, in Abuja, also directed its members across the country to commence a three-day warning strike on Monday to register their displeasure at the Senate’s refusal to approve and allow for local government autonomy.
Addressing a press conference at the NULGE House, Abuja, NULGE General Secretary, Mr Joshua Irapakob, regretted the opposition of ACN and the governor to local government autonomy, especially the directive given to ACN members in both House of Representatives and the Senate to vote in this regard.
He declared that the union will do everything to mobilise and vote against ACN and any governor as well as members of the National Assembly who were against autonomy.
“We will mobilise our members in the entire local government areas in the country to vote against ACN completely. If somebody hates you, what do you expect to do? You too should hate the person,” Irapakob said.
The NULGE scribe stated that NULGE had done it before against some governors and political office holders, citing the example of a former Nasarawa State governor, Aliyu Akwe Doma who, he claimed, was voted out by the workers against all expectations.
He said: “We have so many ways of catching rats. We know that some of these governors are actually against local government autonomy because of the present power they have to exercise on local government council. What we intend to do is that if they refused, any state that will not support local government autonomy, we will mobilise our members against the governors, members of the State House of Assembly in that state, making sure they don’t return.”
