They are yet to announce Jigawa officially. So far, these results are very accurate.
See my previous post for the official Jigawa numbers. OP should not post numbers as official, without making sure that the numbers are from official sources. Simple enough.

fynewaka:
This results are accurate.
Not all of them, see one example below:

Jigawa

CPC: 663,994;
PDP: 244,742;
ANPP: 7,673
ACN: 17,355

Results as announced by the returning officer, Prof. Professor Jibrila Dahiru Amin

@paddy_lo, keep arguing with yourself, all I pointed out was that some of the numbers you posted are not official, nothing more nothing less. Stop being childish.
Politics › Re: Official Nigerian Presidential Election Results by nduchucks: 3:18pm On Apr 17, 2011
@paddy_lo, you probably mean well, but the official numbers announced out of the collation center do not jive with what you posted in many cases. That's all I am saying, I'm not making any predictions so save your gloating for a different occasion.

Be man enough to accept correction, it will take nothing away from you.
Politics › Re: Official Nigerian Presidential Election Results by nduchucks: 3:06pm On Apr 17, 2011
Some of those are not the numbers released by INEC out of the collation center - these numbers posted here are not official.

TRUE! Just waiting for the official announcement by JEGA.

But I've only seen the results for 20 states.

Could you please post the state by state result for all the 36 states here? wink
INEC has the authority to throw out results from wards if they've been presented with convincing evidence of fraud and rigging. I can assure you that this will happen for many of the PDP rigged wards in the north. Celebrations are premature at this point.

Blatant rigging will not work this time around. Jega must handle the final results with utmost care.

Abagworo:
Its funny how PDP is rigging the Northern results. It is impossible for PDP to get 400,000 in Jigawa.I predict there will be crisis and many PDP Bigmen members might be killed.
Abagworo, those numbers do not matter, the numbers that are released from the collation center will determine the outcome. Any official challenges to results with the submission of convincing evidence of rigging will render those numbers useless.

Let's wait for the collation center. Sources tell me that Buhari may edge GEJ by only 500,000 votes which will force a runoff. Time will tell.

CONFIRMED.

PDP has already met condition 2 (25% in 2/3 of the states) going by the results announced so far.  cool
Most observers expect GEJ to meet condition 2. If I were you, I'll wait until INEC reveals the results of the popular votes from the collation center before I begin to celebrate. Note that the INEC has not released any result out of the collation center as of 1pm today. Your celebration may be premature, you may be in for a rude awakening.

sigh. I'm tired of training and reeducating some of you dullards! The point is, an examination of voting patterns in every region shows that the electorate in certain regions is more bigoted than that of other regions. I stand by this assessment.

Pray sir, tell, what is the voting pattern of NW voters? Or are you an ostrich that buries his head in the sand?
Please congratulate Prof. Jega if you wish. The voting pattern of the NW does not diminish the point I made, I hope you are bright enough to see that - its too early in the morning to be educating a grown up about how to read and write.
Politics › Professor Jega - Nigerians Thank You For A Job Well Done! by nduchucks(op): 6:07am On Apr 17, 2011
On behalf of Nigerians at home and all over the world, I thank and congratulate a new national hero, Professor Attahiru Jega for a job well done. You sir, are a gentleman, a scholar, and our new hero.

As collation agents return to the collation center to begin tabulating the results of the election, we anxiously await the final results. We shall stand tall and accept the results and support our new President-elect. If a runoff becomes necessary, we shall come out in great numbers again and vote.

Nigerians, have disappointed our detractors who have been predicting that we will not be able to conduct and organize free, fair, and praise worthy elections. They were even predicting the disintegration of Nigeria after the elections. The said detrators can all go to blazes, we will become great once again and take our rightful position as the pride and joy of Africa.

The voting patterns of some of our SS/SE brothers and sisters shows that there is a lot to be done in educating the electorate in those regions about the importance of putting national interests ahead of bigotry when one votes. I particularly commend the voters of the SW and Northern regions who showed that they are not as bigoted as their SS/SE counterparts.

Once again, congratulations to Prof. Jega and long live ONE NIGERIA

I join you in celebrating a relatively successful election. The real presidential election will begin shortly since no candidate will win a majority of popular votes and 25% of the votes in 26 states. GEJ will will 25% of the votes in at least 26 states but Ribadu's numbers would allow Buhari to narrowly win the popular votes.

All in all, an election well conducted. I congratulate the electorate for Nigeria will never be the same after this.

The Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has said he has no plans to dump the Labour Party for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dr Mimiko who made this clarification in a press statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kolawole Olabisi, described as sad the report of him planned return to PDP saying it was designed to tarnish his rising profile in the nation’s body polity.

The governor stated emphatically that he would never dump the LP contrary to the insinuations contained in the said story.

He explained that it was the leadership of the party that took the decision to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in Saturday's election based on a thorough assessment of the “prevailing political situations in the nation”. And that Ondo State, like others merely ratified the decision which in no way translates to dumping the PDP.

He further debunked the insinuations in the said report that he had axe to grind with the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said Asiwaju Tinubu remains “his brother; partner in progress in the emancipation of the Nigeria people and a patriot who, like him, is a champion of good governance, enthronement of viable democracy and total emancipation of the downtrodden

It is highly improbable that GEJ will receive a majority of popular votes and highly probable that Buhari will receive a majority of those votes. There is also a chance that Buhari may win this election outright, but my money is on a Buhari/GEJ runoff

But when such level is lowered for certain candidates through political and ethnic nepotism, the benefactors of such corrupt political machination shall ever remain socially unfit.
So you passed through Zaria? No wonder you somehow sound familiar, I may have punished you for insubordination a couple of times, if time lines coinside.  cool

You of all people should know that quota system is an effective tool to correct some inbuilt wrongs in advanced societies. When the wrongs have been adequately corrected, the quota system ends. You probably got into NDA because of quota system yourself, albeit, after passing the necesary exams with an above average score.

Yaya dei alhaji. Ka na lahia ko ? N na geshua.

Very smart take there, but it doesn't wash. Why the past 10 years ? Buhari hasn't been in power in the last 10 years has he ? The point is that he was corrupt (overthrew a legitimate govt), caused artificial inflation, rode roughshod over the populace and they all gloated while referring to us as bloody civilians and he was brash and unrepentant about the past.

It is true that he might be a strict person same as Abacha waswitch hunting bank directors and looting us dry. His only regret may be that he was out-looted by Abacha and IBB and we are not going to give him the chance to equalize.
lafia kalao, kai fa?

In all honesty, nothing you wrote up there shows that Buhari is not the best candidate to fight corruption/theft/looting in Nigeria. Do you honestly believe that GEJ would out do Buhari in that area? Don't you agree that corruption is our number one problem?

Given all the benefits you've enjoyed in the North, including excellent education, one would have thought by now, you would have been detribalized/deregionalized.

Yes sir indeed, Onyisi Chuks, you must voyage to Nigerian shores sometime.   Vigilante groups DO exist OFFICIALLY there, and they are duly licenced to carry pump-action shotguns with 12-round magazines, which have been issued in ALARMING numbers to those civilian volunteers, all of whom wear government-issue uniforms, and carry identification cards issued by state governments.   Very often convoys of those Nigerian vigilante groups converge on gunfights while legitimate policemen take flight.

When you have a moment to look up from your law-books during your next visit to Nigeria, perhaps you could flag down a pickup-truckload of those vigilante pistoleros and ask to see their paperwork.  Those brave souls are PROUD of the powers given them by the government, and will gladly show you their official permits and fully legal shooting hardware.
Jakimo, you talked about a recently introduced statutory revisions, and I say this is a blatant lie. Where are the recent revisions you talked about?

Anenih's action was simply an act of thuggery, the robery was not foiled by a vigilante group and Anenih does not belong to a vigilante group. The police handled the situation, they didn't need Anenih to put up a law breaking cowboy show.
Politics › Re: Anenih Foils Edo Bank Robbery by nduchucks: 3:21pm On Apr 16, 2011
Jakumo:
So much for my knowledge about Mr. Anenih. Regarding the legality of his confronting bandits with firepower, recently introduced statutory revisions do permit the existence of ARMED civilian vigilante groups throughout the Nigerian federation, so if Mr. Anenih can produce identification attesting to his membership in such a group, his joining the police in a gun battle is perfectly normal on the mean streets of today's Nigeria, for better or worse.

Civilian vigilante group members now openly now cruise Nigerian cities and towns in pickup trucks, with pump-action shotguns at the ready for high noon at the OK corral. Unlike the police who are theoretically expected to render all arrested subjects to the judicial process, vigilante groups have traditionally been permitted and expected to perform summary executions of "deserving" suspects, while uniformed cops turn a blind eye.
Which recently introduced statutory revisions are you talking about? You don't get to manufacture your own laws pal. The said provisions are none existent, prove me wrong if you can. Besides, this was o act of a vigilante group but the act of an old thug abusing his powers and breaking the law in the process.

Dede1:
No, he should not be prosecuted because he is privileged to carry a gun. I hope you should understand the Nigeria shall become the pride of Africa as it walks into positive humanity as long as privileged few people are secured. In my book, Nigeria is one of the worst dysfunctional societies known to mankind.

Honestly as much as I am not thrilled by the bravado of Anenih because of his position in the society, I can not regard his action as vigilantism. In a good number of civilized societies, individuals, not privilege ones, are granted the permit to carry concealed weapons and allowed to fend off armed attackers in a certain situation. Brazen acts of armed rubbery are rare in such society because an innocent looking bystander could be armed to the hip.
I agree with you post - you spoke well. But did you have to throw in the bolded cheap shot? smiley

Chei! Human beings. smh.

Do you know that he doesn't have a license to carry a firearm? Do you know that he is a retired police officer, so getting a license would not have been a problem for him? Did you read that he did not shoot at anyone, perhaps mindful of the existence of bitter lemons like yourself?

Someone will soon say "Benin-Ore road" or "600 trillion Naira" or "where e get money buy bullet-proof jeep?". All of that is for another debate, a debate I'm unwilling to engage in because I'm not Anenih's spokesman.

He heard a crime was in progress, he intervened. he didn't have to, but he did. That has to be a good thing.

You don't have to like Anenih, or what he represents, to recognise that what he did was a good, selfless thing.

HUman beings. smh.
Vigilanteeism is not a lawful act in Nigeria. The police were there and they did their jobs, Anenih had no business running around like a cowboy shooting guns without authorization and endangering  himself and others.  He was probably out there commandeering the police to thwart the crime in the same manner he would use them to oppress the citizens of the area.

Anenih broke one or two laws here.  You people should stop idol worshipping, no one should be above the law.

You've got to be kidding. How can you say that the massive corruption/theft/rigging of the PDP administrations of the past 10-12 years are irrelevant as far as corruption goes? Are you willing to overlook massive theft of public funds which was the order of the day during the past 12 years of PDP rule simply because you think Buhari became a General because of nepotism?  It does not add up.

I suspect you do not support any of the candidates possibly because of your unapologetic stance that Nigeria must be broken up so that you can have your Biafra. Well, I have news for you -  most of us here in Nigeria do not share that view. As a person who believes in democracy, you know what that means.

Truly, even if you had your Biafra,  constant war would be the order of the day and we'll ultimately have to come to your rescue by reabsorbing you again.

My advice to those Nigerians who intend to crack their voices and split their heads about election malpractices in Nigeria is to consider the idea of disintegration of the cesspit called Nigeria.
Its about time you discarded this idea of disintegrating Nigeria. We are moving forward with or without you, we are conducting the freest elections to date, with or without you, and Insha Allah, we shall become the pride of Africa once again.  Why would anyone not embrace progress, a force that positively moves humanity?.
