These people are preparing the country for the announcement of rigged election results. We will not buy the lies this time around. |
The bold step of the non PDP presidential candidates of withdrawing from the race and throwing their support behind Buhari is the only solution to the PDP problem. If this act does not happen, we can only wish for a run off - I am not optimistic about this eventuality. Buhari must promise both ACN and ANPP substantial carrots to make their support easy to provide. We are indeed at a crossroad to success as a country. PDP, OBJ, IBB, are the main impediment we have had to progress as a country. Many prominent PDP members, OBJ, IBB, and all those business tycoons who are beneficiaries of the current corrupt system are going to do everything in their power to retain power. Insha Allah, they will not be able to stop this Buhari movement just as Clinton could not stop the Obama movement. The future of our children and grand children is more important than the wishes of the thieving thieves we currently have in power. Lets for once, put tribal differences aside and admit that it is time for PDP to go - that party has done enough, its time for fresh air. Nigeria will be great once more. SAI BUHARI, SAI ONE NIGERIA!!! |
Madame Ibru's theft, corruption, conviction, and imprisonment crushed my hopes in women of Nigeria. She proved that women can be just as destructive and corrupt as men. oma se o. |
After receiving $millions from Gadhafi few years ago, Louis Farrakhan rises up in support of his dear friend and brother. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY-_JsNrxiM [flash=200,200] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY-_JsNrxiM[/flash] |
Beaf:Beaf, your defense of the disgraceful embarassment of the President and herself, by the first lady, is pathetic, inexcuseable and pitiful. With people like you advicing the president, it is no wonder that GEJ's gaffes are just as bad as his wife's. Can you people find a way to reach these people who do not have shoes, as you described them, without embarassing yourselves. With olodos like you as advisers, I shouldn't be surprised. Tell your uncle who made you a special adviser, that it is impossible to stop most political waves - Buharism is a wave that is sweeping across Nigeria and appears to be unstoppable. |
@Naijaking, I don't recall seeing Turai on the campaign trail telling people to vote for PDP. First ladies are very public figures and when they stick their necks out publicly, they shouldn't be surprised if they get the attention they crave. Madame Patience' continued embarassment of GEJ is another sign that the man is too weak, a strong man will tell her to stop embarassing herself and others - nolongtin. As you stated in your dear thread whein you announced to NLers that Pastor Bakare's former name was Sindiku, if Madame Patience cannot read, she cannot read. shikena. |
Gbawe:There is nothing undemocratic about what I stated, it is not unusual and in fact democratic for opponents to team up under a common interest to oust a bigger threat such as PDP. I'm only suggesting that, as a practical matter, the ACN at this point is indirectly working for and aiding GEJ in his presidential bid. Gbawe: In any case , if folks are up to speed with the latest info they will see that the ACN and ANPP continue to work with Buhari and the CPC to ensure the PDP is ousted . The Parties have already agreed to work together if a run-off situation arises . I really don't see what more the ACN and Ribadu can do . It is intellectually lazy for many to now routinely talk as if Ribadu and the ACN are enemies of progress while , in reality, Ribadu and his Party continue to do everything possible to oust the PDP.ACN and ANPP agreed to work together to oust PDP if a run-off situation arises, kwo? What if GEJ wins outright as a direct result of the votes siphoned from Buhari by ACN and ANPP? Bold steps are required to oust PDP outright, there is no better way to position Ribadu and/or Shekarau for a formidable presidential run after 4 years of Buhari's, than for ACN and ANPP to withdraw their presidential candidates now and declare their support for Buhari! Both Ribadu and Shekarau have stated very recently that they would step down for a "consensus" candidate under the right condition - its time for them to deliver. I would not be surprised if both of the said candidates withdrew right after the next presidential debate, for maximum effect. Shekarau ==> http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/shekarau-im-ready-to-step-down-for-northern-consensus-candidate/87705/ Ribadu ==> https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-623962.0.html |
To Ribadu supporters: do you realize that Ribadu cannot win the election next month and that all he can do is siphon votes from both Buhari and GEJ and probably contributing to the GEJ's victory in the process? You people are basically and effectively helping GEJ in the name of supporting Ribadu. All reasonable observers do not see any permutation under which ACN wins - so what are really your objectives? Do you actually believe that Ribadu can win in 2011? |
tiatma:Sir Tafawa balewa was known as the golden voice of Africa. No one has been able to fill those shoes ever since his days. His death was very untimely, to say the leas - what an orator! |
All I have to say is that, Nigeria can do better than the crop of people who want to become president in 2011. Our system is worse than rotten if out of all the talent we have in our great country, these debaters and GEJ are the only options we have. Having said that, SAI BUHARI |
The UN resolution is unprecedented in that it not only unanimously approves a "No Fly Zone" but the use of any force necessary to make the resolution effective. We should now expect millitary strikes and destruction of Gaddafi's defence systems, the bombing of several or all of his palaces because they contain anti aircraft machineries, and the bombing of a "few" of his heavy armory. Gaddafi is a goner at this point. In the maintime, I hear that Nigeria, as the leader of AU and the proclaimed giant of Africa, is implicitly offering UN and/or Africom, logistical support by providing useful staging ground somewhere in the ND area as a show of love and support. I hope what I heard from the grapevines is inaccurate, if not, Beaf, MEND and their cohorts will be s.hitting in their pants as we speak. ![]() |
naijaking1:Please don't dodge this question again: do you agree with me that its time for PDP to go? |
Eziachi:Eziachi, nwanne m, you've earned my respect for the above comment. I admire your objectivity in this case - anyone who accuses you of not being objective in matters of the civil war should be deemed utterly insensitive in my books. carry go, my brother. @Naijaking, Sindiku is one of the most beautiful names I've heard in a very long time. Even you have to admit that it is time for PDP to go. |
Never in the history of Nigeria have we seen this kind of crowd consistently coming out at campaign events in support of any candidate. Buhari draws crowds from the North to the West and the South. Jega has informed us that 73million people registered to vote with more than 60% of them from the North. It is becoming more and more mathematically impossible for GEJ to pull this off. The people who always claim that census figured are cooked and officials were counting goats etc, have now had their eyes opened. The mammoth crowd at Buhari's rallys are real people. We are tired of PDP, we need change, SAI BUHARI!! By the way, why is OBJ not on the campaign trail with GEJ? |
Desperation has set in. They are now using tabloids to deceive themselves. Poll ko, Oracle from Okija ni. www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
vigasimple:Its a bit too late for people like you, who should know better, to cry foul and attempt to rescue PDP from their impending loss by calling a potentially winning political strategy, the act of some cabal to maintain the said cabal's interest alone. PDP and GEJ offer more of the same. Your phobia of the NORTH is beclouding your reasoning and rendering you unable to realize that democracy is indeed taking hold in Nigeria albeit in baby steps. The people will determine who becomes the next president and thank goodness, elitists such as yourself make up a very minute fraction of the electorate. People like you, I'm sorry to say, are in denial - you probably think that the mammoth crowd which has been trooping out to hear Buhari speak are paid goons of the "CABAL". Like one of the great Nigerian leaders used to say, Good morning! olodo. (1)SAI BUHARI (2) SAI RIBADU |
It is not looking good for GEJ, the race will be tight and GEJ cannot be sure of getting a majority of the votes. If GEJ pulls this off, I would not be surprised if the legistators amend the constitution to enable an electoral college to pick the president, thus reducing the power of the electorate (the American style). I will not count the Northern politicians out just yet, they've been outsmarting those of other regions ever since we became independent. Those who thought GEJ's misdeed of not honouring the PDP gentleman's agreement of power rotation was sufficient to checkmate the Northern superior political strategists, should think again. Frankly, I'd welcome a Buhari presidency which would send many of the worst looters on self exile or prison. The choice of Bakare by Buhari may be the most informed decision to have been made by the Buhari team. With the understanding that Ribadu has no chance of winning, I reluctanly declare, SAI BUHARI! |
@Becomerich. Go on soun. ![]() |
[flash=500,500] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq5b-_LSwkw?version=3[/flash] AU should be deemed completely useless if this barbaric and unafrican act by Gbabgo does not trigger an invasion of Ivory Coast to uproot the fool from office. |
Why are you all surprised that Akala turned down this debate? Akala is the only one who has anything to lose in participating in this debate. I bet most of you cannot name a single candidate other than Akala, so why should he help those candidates gain popularity. The politically pruduent thing to do is for Akata to take his case directly to the people. GEJ should do the same thing and not participate in any debate at the presidential level. I'm not saying that skipping these debates is the right thing to do, but the most politicallly expedient thing to do, particularly in a country such as ours, where the skipper will not pay any political price. |
volasunkan:You cannot blame sensible readers for suspecting that you are one of Tinubu's goons. Tinubu has a pending case at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, the facts of which have not yet been fully released to the public, but that does not stop people like you from standing up for Tinubu before the tribunal finishes its siting. As a professional and intellectual, one would have expected you to allow the code of conduct tribunal to finish its work before pronouncing Tinubu as a saint. You mentioned waiting for 12 years before accusing the man of operating 16 foreign accounts, as being some sort of valid reasons why Tinubu is not guilty of the offense, haba! One would have expected a God invoking poster like you to wait until the man presents his defense before concluding that the charges are fictitious. if you have any proof that the charges are fictitious, please provide it - it is not enough to dismiss the charges as politically motivated. This is the same excuse that the likes of Ibori and other thieving ex-governors have used for years. You have to do better than this to stand up for tinubu with a good conscience, as you put it. Until you do, we will continue to suspect that you are one of the said goons. Our people talk say wepu aka enwe n'ofe tupu o ho aka mmadu (Remove the hand of the monkey from the pot, before it becomes the hand of a human being). Not sure whether you or Tinubu is the proverbial monkey. |
Tinubu may have unleashed his goons - they and other political jobbers are prowling and attempting to defend Tinubu. Aparently, Tinubu's camp believes that damage control has become necessary. We are keeping a close watch on you people. @kobo, don't waste your time expecting proof for anything from these people, they are paid goons and expert divertionary mercenaries. |
@Beef, I told you to be very afraid. You don dey shake in your boots already. By the time dem deal with una, una go begin go read book for school instead of oil bunkering ![]() |
@Beef, pele o. I know that the presence of AFRICOM will essentially put you millitant bunkerers out of business - I agree with you, you people should be very afraid of that organization. I frankly don't give a hoot whether they have a base in the ND or not. @ROSSIKE, na wettin be ya own sef? Why are you pretending not to know that the Americans have been pushing to establish a Africom base in your backyard? rakumin dajij |
ROSSIKE:I suppose in your mind, the above is a most intellectually advanced reaction to my post. I'll let you continue to believe in its brilliance - I go even clap for you sef. olodo |
