May I hereby postulate that the thread starter has more than a cursory relationship with someone in diaspora and that he/she, in fact, lives in diaspora her/himself

This thread is more than likely an epitome of gross self deprecation, in an attempt to cover up pschological damages of sorts, dementia and/or frustration that could be caused by residency in diaspora.

Politics › Snake Bites Rep In His Office! by nduchucks(op): 1:47am On Nov 09, 2009
A Rep member was on Friday 23 October bitten by a snake in his office. He was bitten by the snake when he went into the rest room attached to his office on the first floor of the new building to ease himself. shocked shocked shocked The cries of agony of the lawmaker attracted the attention of his aides who rushed to the scene to find the lawmaker writhing in pain.

The aides subsequently raised an alarm by quickly placing a call to a friend of the lawmaker, who heads a committee that has to do with flaring and also other members on the floor. They raced to the scene and rushed the lawmaker to an unnamed private clinic for treatment.

Efforts to kill the snake I learnt were abortive as the aides who were shocked into perplexity watched helpless as the snake made good its escape. cheesy cheesy cheesy It was speculated that the snake may have come from the foliage surrounding the NASS complex and may have climbed the wall of the new building during the night and ensconced itself in the comfort of the lawmaker’s toilet. But this hypothesis was quickly discarded as the outer wall of the new wing is covered with ceramics.

The strange incident has not only raised the blood level of the few lawmakers in the new building who learnt about it, but has also set tongues wagging on its mysterious nature of the perplexing occurrence. Many were quick to ascribe a spiritual dimension to the happenstance saying that there was more to the incident than meets the eye.

A female lawmaker who reacted to the story said: "How can a snake be found on the first floor of a place like the new building that is always spic and span? We are talking about first floor and not ground floor o. If it were to have been the ground floor, I would have said: maybe; but first floor? My brother, the lawmaker should check himself!" According to a source, there had been spirited efforts to hush up the incident because "people may read a wrong meaning to it."

Though the Chief Medical Director of the NASS clinic, Mrs. Precious Udobong was not in her office when I visited, other nurses and pharmacists I spoke with confirmed that the Rep member was not brought to the clinic for first aid after the incident. Sources however claim that the lawmaker is now in a stable condition.

Mainwhile:

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says yesterday that the sacked Managing Director of Bank PHB Plc Francis Atuche has allegedly laundered N20 billion depositors’ funds and will have to face fresh charges.
Atuche was arraigned last Wednesday alongside a former Executive Director Charles Ojo on a 26 count charges before a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos for alleged fraudulent transactions worth N80 billion which weakened the liquidity of the bank.

A senior official in the commission involved in the investigation, told Sunday Trust yesterday that Atuche allegedly used existing companies to transfer money into foreign accounts through bogus loans.

The former bank executive is said to have forged documents of these companies without their knowledge to take out depositors’ monies.

The official who did not want to be named said in one of the cases of the fraud, a company, Tegosan Oil & Gas owned by Peter Ololo was used to siphon N4 billion as loan for a tank farm.

However, when operatives interviewed Ololo he denied knowledge of the transaction and claimed his signature was forged.

“The account was opened on December 27, 2007 and was credited with N4billion on the same day, our investigations have revealed that the two signatories to the account were forged,” the official explained.

The source also said, “Another company, Extra Oil Nig. Ltd originally owned by one Diamond Uju had a fake account in the bank under the name Tochukwu Kemakolan and was used to siphon N3.9bn.”

According to the source, using fake documents the former bank chief allegedly stole N3.5 billion each from Future View Security Ltd and Traegec Nig. Ltd.

EFCC’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi when contacted for comments on the matter said, “fresh charges cannot be ruled out in some of the cases involving the bank executives because the Chairman Mrs Farida Waziri has given a directive that operatives should dig deeper into their activities as a result of which further investigations are still ongoing.”
we might as well blame cbn for this report too, since that is the order of the day. cbn for handle every ting hush hush, under under, quietly, so dat shareholders for no lose money at all. na cbn and sanusi dey cause all dis embarassment - why dem go give efcc day kind information na?

i sure say, we no go here any outrage about dis report from usual suspects. according to ololo dem forge him signature, and successfully  transfer N4billion overseas!  shocked  shocked  shocked    i suppose atuche with de able assistance of ololo safeguard dat N4billion wey belong to shareholders - him na worthy managing director.

mark my words again, many of dis ceos go spend cozy time in prison, including some of de old superstars wey still dey get sympathy from people wey suppose to know better.

Fall in share values was one of the predictions we made about Sanusi's uncordinated activities at CBN, now it has come to pass, but you want to re-write history so soon.
hehehehe, no make me laugh abeg.

ceos squander shareholder value and cook books, lied to shareholders and regulators, resulting in artificially high share value.  obviously when de lies become public, the share values must fall. any fool fit predict dat one.

de question is dis: should we hold de ceos and other executives wey lie to shareholders and regulators, wey make billions on naira in loans to themselves, wey mismanage shareholder money, responsible for the fall in share value?  or na cbn wey we go hold responsible?

na de ceos wey don already lead una go cliff and drop una sef. cbn just dey try rescue at this point.  justice will be served when the ceos begin go prison.

by de time wey dem recapitalize the banks, investors fit recoup some of their losses. for now, na to just sit tight. frankly, de attrocities and financial crimes wey de ceos are accused of, is unforgivable.

make una go read de court papers for perspective.  with time some of dem go go prison like bode george, mark my word.

Are you for real?

Now it's the CEOs who squandered the share values? I just can't believe it.
What was the share values before Sanusi stupidly started to mess things up? If you can answer or even research this answer, you would understand your own lies.
we no go get anywhere if we no fit dey honest.

de audits wey cbn conduct reveal say these banks been dey cook their books and no one actually knew de extent of their troubles. you fit blame regulators wey no uncover the issues, but dat one no change the fact say de banks have been in trouble for at least 18 months before sanusi enter cbn. the bank share values had been artificially inflated because public no sabi de truth.

it was simply a matter of time before the bank shares crash in value.  tings had been messed up long before sanusi  enter scene. na cbn loans wey dey cover de yansh of most of these banks.  yawa gas after sanusi stop giving them the loans.

if you no believe these tings, just wait make the trials of these ceos begin.  i sure say you go come back here with regrets. for now, make we await the trials.

when sanusi show rascality by some of his actions, i dey ready to condemn such actions and i don condemn dem, several times.

as far as i dey concerned, time will tell us how good or bad sanusi will turn out as de cbn governor.

my question to naijaking and his likes be dis: where is de outrage towards the ceos wey squander shareholder value to de point say the shares are now worthless? sanusi no be saint, but e good make we call spade a spade as far as the sacked ceos are concerned.

una supposed to be outraged by the mismanagement and possible crimes by these ceos as you are about sanusi's actions, if your outrage is honest.
