What is above your means ?
How much does it cost to generate 24/7 electricity ?
If U have a two kids and a wife, U want to fly, how much will such trip cost U going and coming?
How much will it cost U to feed properly per month ?
How much will it cost U to vacate one or twice a year ?
How much will it cost U to fuel Ur V6 engine car? If U have two, how much?
Una dey make me laugh Shaa. Una never seen anything. U will scale throuth with that money but na survival except U are ready to cut down your standard of living drastically. Such as reduction in hours of electricity, stopp flying, cancelled vacation, etc. these re not living above yr means, they are basic things of life.
My friend in the UK goes to other countries easily within Europe and she doesn't earn much. She flies with ease. Can U see what I'm saying?
Oga you said it all, people just talk because they know no better. To afford basic things of life, just the average that 30m is nothing. With that amount one is not even near middle class

15M is more than enough to ball in a year and u can comfortably save another 15m.no deceive urself.15m is like spending 1.25m monthly.400k is more than enough to fuel car in a month (like around 300litre- where u wan even go with 300litre in a month) 500k more than enough for good quality food
300k for miscellaneous .
Infact how many families even fit afford 1m for monthly spending in this 9ja.
Oga that money is not enough to run expenses especially if you are a family man. 30m is barely surviving, still lower class as the middle class no longer exist.

So that dullard cannot come out and immediately ban rearing of cows openly but only in ranches? When fulani tried their rubbish in Ghana, those ones ordered shoot at sight on both the cows and the headers saying they will not tolerate the rubbish happening in Nigeria over there in Ghana. In our own side no political will do deal with the rubbish decisively.

Funny man, all you just did is to lay out the attitibutes of a criminal running a criminal organization, the mafia comes to mind.
By build people you mean by empowering upcoming criminals over the teaming population Eg Mc oluomo, sago, koko zaria, kunle poly etc? Name one associate of his that is not linked to crime in their past, is it the chief of staff who has had issues of trust when he allegedly "kolobi" a client's money to the extent he was disbarred? Is it one of his close associates, a SW "gobina" who was indicted for credit card fraud in the US? Is it the gov from the east, a celebrated 419 back in the day, abi another SW gov with questionable educational history, abi the speaker of a state close to him, as for that one a simple agbero. In all these you now describe him as building men? A very stupid person your are, and that is not a insult it is just a word you may use to look up the meaning in a dictionary.

Nigerians should learn to always avoid the men of the Nigeria Police Force. Majority of them are frustrated human being. Imagine at the course of duty a innocent baby was killed.

The Police will release press statement now and you will hear how the baby was trying to struggle to grab their gun and at the process accidental discharge occurs.

R. I. P to the baby.
True talk, just avoid them. Those days when I ran a bar, some policemen were drinking there, one in particular was a drunkard, armed policemen ohh. They will leave their checkpoint, come and get high then go back. One day one of my customers came in, saw them and turned back and left. Later I asked him why, he said any where one sees armed police drinking just leave the place sharp sharp because anything can happen.
Walai one week later one of the policemen was drunk and tried to extort an American returnee at their nearby check point. The Americano recorded him. Infact that was the first time a policeman was recorded asking for bribe. It was all over the internet, the policeman was arrested, paraded and dismissed. If I remember right his name was sargent or inspector chiyem.

This woman you have to rest since you are not benefiting enough in the marriage leave the man alone not quite long you get married now you are on social media with your family matter I bet you this your marriage has end like this or soon it happen that Na for for sure
Most ladies prefer to do hookup this days than even to marry because they know that is not easy for just one man to carry their family and their personal problem
So marriage is not by Force stop disturbing us with this half baked story you didn't tell us how much they are keeping for house rent ,saving for hospital bill
One then newly married lady with just 1 kid said she asked her uncles wife who she apparently was quite close to how she survives seeing things were not too rosy or rather the hubby does not give her plenty money. The uncles wife told her the secret which is that you get a man friend outside on a coded level you will be servicing and he will be funding you. Through the money you can then assist in the house and give your hubby less stress financially. Lol

OracleJay411:
Did he use the money to buy food for himself?

Who is blind to see what he's using the money for?
Problem with naija is you and the majority of people including Oga at the top do not know how to handle money. They have not done proper work to build a business from scratch. Of cause you can have a briefcase company and through influence get 50m contract to supply 10 units of 1hp Ac and make millions, but it is different from someone who has 2m and in 2 years turns it around and makes it 20m.
Wise people said Eg coastal road is good, but we are not in the current financial situation to rush into it and others, rather stabilize the economy first, turn it to green from red then you can build those projects, but una no gree.
I will give you real life example between two friends who shared 100m each from a business deal.
One rushed and bought a Benz for 50m and was left with 50m, ofcourse his other bills got high based on his Benz status, even the bills from his chicks increased, policemen in checkpoint giving him wahala or begging for money, his friends nko will not take no for an answer when they ask him for money, even when they go out, they expect him to pay as he has arrived.
On the other hand the other friend did a fix deposit or tbills for 1 year, got 20m unfront. He went and bought a carmry for 10m, then had 10m cash left in his hand to continue chasing business. His bill increase but not as his friend who bought Benz, police don't even look at him as he drives pass, his car is reliable with low expenses etc.
At the end of 1 year Mr Benz has less than 20m remaining from the initial 100m.
On the other hand his friend after 1 year has his 100m intact, he has his camry, he also has over 5m remaining from the 20m he got upfront as he has lived within his means, infact he will place his 100m for another 1 year and have fresh 20m to inject into his business.
Oga naija could have been ran in a better way than what these current characters are doing, running the country to the grounds, sinking it in debt.
Politics › Re: "Tinubu Govt Added More Debt In 2 Years Than Nigeria Accumulated In 55 Years" by nedekid: 1:00pm On May 23
When you are not doing well economically, your business is not moving or slow, you then take loans to build new mansion and new office, buy new official cars for your office and change all your vehicles in the house, new Benz for yourself and BMW for madam.
That is the Nigerian way under baba. Build coastal road and other elephants projects all heavily padded and under paddy paddy arrangement at a time the economy is not in sound footing. At the end of the day deeper in igbese.

You downloaded malware, your account was then hacked ad money stolen from your opay, why not take responsibility for the loss of your owo?
See, let me break it dowm for you, when opay investigates through their backend, they will see the money was transfered using your phone, it will be in the log. Based on that case closed. They will advice you to report to the police for investigation. If they want to go further the most they will do is trace the accounts that money went through and block the bvn, but of course, what happens is that the scammer goes to recruit an illiterate aboki to register bvn and open an count which is then used for fraud. By the time they trace the aboki, he is no where to be found or ignorant of any transactions

Eg Canada, I call him to take my child and put him in school over there if he can afford to, you then say it is entitlement?

You are proving my point. You are on Nairaland and you see the issues people bring here.
He sponsored his sister to school, she cannot take care of his son.
He sponsored the girl's education and she dumped him for another man.
You can get all emotional about this but I am telling you reality that will help you not get disappointed.

You think the world today is the one you grew up in? No. There is community support and your network of people but expectation creates disappointment. If the people you call have their problems and they cannot help you, will you put your destiny on hold?

So my sibling becomes wealthy tomorrow and you say asking him go give me some business or even money makes me entitled?
Nedekid, yes. I know it doesn't make sense to you but yes. The easiest way to live life and be happy is not to expect anything from anyone. That will help you recognize who the real giver and helper is. Many of us put our reliance on people expecting them to do good back the way we did good to them. And for the 50 Cent, I don't know. Maybe I don't need to post anything anymore because I realise that people don't take the lessons they need to take, they get distracted by the lesson teacher. I tried to show you the moon but you only saw my fingers.
,
Bros, at my age I assure you I have my opinions properly formed and thought out. What more do I have to learn about expectations and disappointment that I have not already experienced or known in my lifetime. Yes I have a stupid sibling who is rich and successful in her profession abroad, yes I and others played a role in her education and welfare over there, no one needs anything from her as everyone is great in their own right, she chooses to be of no assistance to anyone Eg a bro wanted to vacation with his family to that country and asked for letter of introduction, she said unfortunately she cannot do that, years earlier my son thought of schooling over there, no way I could talk to her about it knowing her attitude, instead it was a friend I spoke with and guess what, my friend said no way my kid will come to UK and not stay with him, say na from him house e go de go school, that he will even pay, the boy ended up gaining admission into a local private uni and going abroad was not necessary. See any person that starts talking bullshit about entitlement from his sibling is stupid and not well brought up. Does it happen, yes it does and I see your point of having the mindset that nobody owes you, having that mindset helps you avoid disappointment. I agree with you, but it should not stop you from seeking assistance when needed likewise you giving assistance. Yes there are people I have assisted in the past and I will be disappointed if they fail to honor assistance I need from them assuming they can afford to render it, but does that stop life from going on, no. Just few days ago I had dinner with a paddy at Sheraton and he was telling me of how he had to send £10k 3 times over a span of 9 months to stabilise his brother who relocated with his family, so tomorrow his own kids need to move to UK and you say him housing or taking care of them will then bring issues of entitlement and so he should not ask? Only a stupid sibling will say the other is feeling entitled.
My last vacation few moths ago, on arrival my sibling sent an Uber to pick us from the airport streight to his house, his oyinbo wife had set up their son's room for us to stay while the son will manage with his sisters or go crash with his friends. We had to explain to them we had paid for reservations at Enclave croydon (Google the place and book it for your next trip, it is worth it), so since we arrived early before check-in time we stayed with them and they then dropped us off at our accomodation. On the other hand I did not bother contacting the other sibling who I said is very well off before she says we are feeling entitled by entering london and expecting to stay with her in her big house, lol.
Oga proper siblings really help themselves, I know a lady, three years ago her last set of sibling left with his wife from naija, infact it was my house they stayed to catch their flight. This lady after stabilizing abroad sponsored all her brothers and sisters with their families to come. She will go as far as taking 15k loan, pay for school back then when study route was being used, she will even go as far as buying tickets and providing PTA, when the family arrives, they will stay with her until they find their feet and then start assisting her in paying the loan she took, that is how proper siblings pull up themselves, not one that will look at those here and say they are feeling entitled, saying I sent him N50k he chopped it, I sent him N20k and other petty money instead of pulling him up to a better place.

You owe no one. There's nothing like ingrate. You came to life differently. It's entitlement that makes people think someone else has to do something for them. No one owes you anything, the earlier you learn that and know that, the easier for you to not be disappointed in this life. In fact, it will make you appreciate what you take for granted because an ingrate is not usually grateful for what they get for free.

Are we not seeing first borns now complaining that they are bearing responsibilities or regretting that they could have spent that money on themselves but gave it back and it never stops? Be real. Our society is communal and all of that but people take that association for granted but if you die today, they will find a way to live without you. That should tell you a lot. You are not indepsensable. Life can and will move on with or without you.

https://www.tiktok.com/video/7159349897223851310
We are talking of serious issues you are bringing up 50cents and his useless son.
Oga we all owe people just as they owe us, it could be as simple as gratitude.
I know of a man that gave up his village scholarship slot for his cousin, after that the scholarship programs was stopped. That guy went on to be a successful lawyer, sanator and millionaire. I knew one time the guy took his cousin around some ministries trying to empower him. I remember my late father buying a brand new suv and driving it to his friend's house and handing over the keys expressing gratitude that when they were teens it was that man that introduced him to the British gentleman through which he stated life and ended up very successful.
So my sibling becomes wealthy tomorrow and you say asking him go give me some business or even money makes me entitled? Or my brother lives in Eg Canada, I call him to take my child and put him in school over there if he can afford to, you then say it is entitlement? Hang on, this op uses his hard earned 15m to send his sibling abroad, few years down the line he then faces hard times here in naija, he calls his brother for help, the brother he sent to Canada then calls him entitled saying he owes no one?
The same thing is currently happening to men who will use all their resources to train kids, he will starve and deprive himself to educate his kids, then at the end of the day the child says his father is entitled when he is old and cannot earn an income. Anyway that is why lots of men have said they will never put themselves in a position that will require kids to support them in their old age, before they say they owe their parents nothing.
There are people I will call and they will answer me so too there are those who will call me and that call must be answered and within my best capacity go our of my way to solve their issues.
How can siblings be talking of entitlement, people from the same womb? Omo, they were no brought up well.

No emotional answers.

Be selfish. Get returns from your business and if there's surplus, invest it in anyone else.

Emotional response.

You are IyaTola and that means a lot. You don't owe anyone anything but this is Africa. We look after each other. Send him to Canada and put it in writing to avoid stories that touch on why you are doing it and don't expect anything from him. I don't want you to see your brother as a business decision because now you have two options. You can start regretting tomorrow that the money you wanted to use for business, you gave it to your brother, then you start to call him ungrateful and put pressure on him in Canada, a new land that takes time but in the long run, he will not disturb you for life again because you have set him free. Read what I wrote here on giving this morning 👇

Spending money is an emotional decision, be sure you are in the right frame of mind before taking any of the decisions then go with it and don't look back.
Oga life does not work that way, no one is an island, only an ingrate will say they owe no one.
