MasterTeeUSA:
Next time, do you research about hotels...even in the USA, I have stayed in hotels with peeled ceilings, bad customer service...one even told us to come to the lobby to pick our own towels and new bedsheets. Sadly I had to stay in that hotel because the event we went for...that was the recommended hotel. I will pick Marriott over others.

Do your research well, pay for a great experience and you shall have it. I stay in an affordable solar complimented building when I am in Nigeria. Are they perfect? No, because I know I am not paying for luxury. If you want top experience, some hotels will set you back about N200k to N300k a night. Can we stop all these Nigeria is terrible stories?
Are you saying Nigeria is not terrible?
Yes it is good to be patriotic but the fact remains that the country is terrible for the average person, but ofcourse if you are rich you can use money to blind out some of the frustrations. Eg you can pay alot for a top tier hotel, you can run generators at 2k per liter of diesel, you can get an armored car with armed security to guarantee your freedom of movement. But for the average Nigerian it is a shit hole never to be compared with most basic countries, go look at videos of Iran, despite all the sanctions the bombing etc they still have steady electricity. Oga in my premises today alone I have blown 200k on diesel and counting, by tomorrow morning if they do not bring electricity consider it another 200k, that is our reality on ground.
I agree with you that 40k is nothing for a 30min ride, especially for someone comming from abroad, it is a little over £20, if I remember right gatwick to east London cost me £70 by Uber, so 40k naira should be nothing.
Also the op must have stayed in cheap run downed hotel probably due to finances. If as a Nigerian based abroad you are visiting naija the least you should budget for hotel stay per night is 80k and above, you do not go come and want to stay in a 10, 20k run downed hotel then expect to get service from Marriott. Even basic budget hotels like Holliday iin express, premier inn, travel lodge etc go for minimum £50 daily and since it is not to my taste I look elseware. I think op visited naija on a very lean budget.

So who are the people buying the lands and houses? Foreigners or the same Nigerians!
All of the above and some more.
Nigerians based abroad are buying cheap because of the devalued naira. Foreigners too may buy companies and their assets for cheap. You also have the politicians or those close to government laundering money made from corruption on a scale never seen before. Of course you also have the traders that no matter what will always turn a profit.

I wouldn't even think twice. Ill sit him down and remind him of the agreement we had and simply give him a couple of days to leave.

This is happening to you because most likely youre not married nor have a stable relationship. Friends tend to take advantage of you when ure single.

I have a friend that tried to do that to me last week. He actually has his own place with his wife and kids, but him and his wife are always arguing and fighting with eachother. Whenever they have a fight, thats when he calls me to come and pick him up because she takes his car from him after each argument.

So I picked him up from his place and asked where he wanted me to take him to. He said my place. I told him hell no. What am I supposed to tell my own wife? Why will I leave a grown man with my wife while Im at work? I simply took him to a hotel, paid for one night for a room for him and drove home. He hasnt called me since then. Im sure he has found someone else gullible enough for him to take advantage of them.
Nice one.
Family › Re: How Do I Get Rid Of A Visitor Who Refuses To Leave? by nedekid:
See, I have noticed when one goes abroad and you call people, they are evasive, I have noticed they want to know your accommodation arrangement before opening up to you, why? The want to avoid you asking if they can house you. Some will wish to know stylishly if you are on short vacation or you are there to hustle ie long term. When they hear you are staying in some correct hotel apartment, hotel (where their legs have never entered) or shortlet, na that time them go open up make they come see you.
Anyway op, you are in a very dicy position which unless through the grace of God will end in life long quarrel. You see that your guy, even if you house and feed him for a year, the day you cannot take it anymore and ask him to leave, he will hold the grudge for life, if he later becomes rich or holds position, he will not remember the 1 year you housed and fed him, he will tell everyone including his kids how you chased him out or maltreated him, lol.
So you have two options, kick him out or put up with him. You don hook, you can't even use your girl friend as excuse, that one even worse, he will say you treated him bad over woman, lol.
Person I never see for many years, saw her at a mall, she the came with us to my place, she left, next was that she called the following week that she was in town again if she can stay in my guest apartment for few days she was in town, Omo that few days extended to over 3 years, lol. Infact na from my place her fiance come from abroad come marry am, she and hubby stayed there for another 1 year before relocating.
Op, next time avoid the wahala, never house someone you are not willing to keep for long term.

We should not blame them, it is their country and they have made a decision that they do not want illegals.
This should rather be a time for sober reflection, we need to look at the catastrophe that made our country the poverty capital of the world to the extent citizens of the so called giant of Africa are now economic migrants in all corners of the world and seen by locals to be constituting a nuisance.

Insecurity is the biggest challenge.

TERRORISM is a threat to TOURISM
Why are you looking far, anything are a threat to tourism, police is even more of a threat than fulani.
Someone will leave Heathrow, they did not search him, fly to Doha, they did not search him, land murital Muhammed airport, they did not search.
He will then get a car to take him to his hotel, police will stop him in the middle of no where and tell him to bring out all his luggage for search, infact tell him he must come to the police station for comprehensive searching. Now that is a Nigerian, a citizen of this country. Imagine if it is a person that visits from Ghana or Benin republic, drives down to go and visit Eg oluomo rock for tourism or drives all the way to benin to visit the obas palace, no be die the person dey?

No country in the officially welcomes illegal migrates but it’s only in South Africa that the government contracts it’s jobless and illiterate people to do the job of administering jungle justice on immigrants both legal and illegal.

The South African government and its black people are a disgrace to humanity.

Immigrants may leave South Africa but South Africa won’t be better off nor will the absence of black immigrants result in any reduction in the crime rates all over the country.
Why cry more than the bereaved? That have accepted that they are lazy, they are not smart and other condescending issues they are accused of, they even accept "SA wount be won’t be better off nor will the absence of black immigrants result in any reduction in the crime rates all over the country" ie quoting you.
They say it is fine with them, that those immigrants since they are hardworking, wise etc, they should go and use those noble attributes to fix their own countries, frankly I see nothing wrong in that.
You cannot elect old rundown characters, most with criminal past, people clearly stealing or squandering the wealth and resources of your country, people buying airliners as presidential jet when the national carrier does not have even a RC toy aircraft, then when the country is unhabitable, you then go to SA and start dragging shoulder with them, turning their streets to your shitty 3rd world country, putting stain on their hospitals, schools and other social services.
Frankly speaking I think Nigerians all over the world should be sent back to the country, even those with green cards and indefinite leave to remain. Deport their arse back, let nigerians live in Nigeria, that way we will be forced to elect good leaders. See that Oponu seyi law staying here to talk rubbish but his family is living in uk, look at babas son doing city boy up and down, ask where his family stays, two of my paddies one ran to Canada the other to US, after naija economy hit them, yet from another man's country they are still singing bola on your mandate we shall stand..

Car Talk › Re: Affordable And Reliable Cars For First-time Buyers In Nigeria by nedekid: 1:56pm On May 06
If you wanna buy car, look towards China on facebook you see lots of them selling used cars, almost brand new. China has over capacity in car production and turnover. By the time a car is nearly used, new models are out, the leasing companies the collect the old and replace the with latest models, no one is interested in buying those replaced ones.
They once offered me 2016 corolla for $3600 and asking how many I can pack say the go give me discount. They offered me 2022 for 9k and 2020 hybrid for $7500.
Shipping to naija $1,500.

Obi heart was in ADC until atiku tried to hijack the party with dollars

Peter Obi don't play politics of dollars so he left to NDC.

Peter Obi said it openly that he will leave the ADC if atiku attempts transactional politics and he did.

Nigeria is in ruins today because we play politics of "bribe for support" and Peter Obi will never be a party to that.

It is the turn of the south, so atiku can keep his dollars till the next election after 2027.
It is alleged that one Oga in the adc said for him to step down, in any government that is formed nnpc, ports, cbn, ministry of finance etc must be handed to him.
No way Obi will agree to that, it will just be a continuation of previous style of government of corruption.

What you call normal is actually sin before God. To answer for the person you were asking, many people have gone to university and graduated without engaging in fornication. I am one of them. Or do you mean to tell me that every youth in the whole country is a fornicator? Do not be deceived. I suppose you once had a conscience that troubled you not to engage in sexual immorality at one time or the other but you ignored. And now, you generalize your sinfulness for everyone. No, not everyone is a sinner. For many righteous, just and holy youths will make heaven. I suppose you have not read the scripture that testifies of people that did not soil their 'white garment' with fornication. Bro/Sis, forget it, each man will give account of his life before God and you can be sure fornicators will have their part and portion in the lake of fire. No peace for a fornicator. Repent of your sins. Christ's power of salvation through his death and resurrection is able to save you only if you will willingly call out to him '"Jesus! Save me from my sin" . And he will. I am very sure of that.
Haba.. see heavy preaching, You seem to be very skilled at it too. Nice.

Oga we know people like you have never meant well for this country, 10 years ago you were in this forum playing your usual shenanigans, that time naira was 150-200 to a dollar, bag of rice was 5-8k, you supported buhari based on the 30k or $200 monthly salary which was big money for you and your cohorts, buhari and apc ruined the economy, he left leaving the currency at 750 to $1. You were not wise enough to change your ways even though your 30k was now worth a paltry $40, you pressed on an supported the current catastrophe, in which Nigeria has broken all records of being the poverty capital of the world bypassing India. Your 30k is now $20! How can't you see the wrong of your ways, is it insanity or folly? How can a man keep doing the same thing and hope for a change? Is it when your 30k is now $2 you will have sense?
All over the world Nigerians have become a laughing stock being called a disgrace of a country, go on X and see how we are being insulted, even Ghana wants Nigerians to leave, they are saying we should go and face our government to fix our country, the SA are posting videos of our Oga at the top, saying we will elect such incompetence then run to other peoples place to become a nuisance. Walai I am sure if one checks you have feed the country and writing all this your crap from abroad as an economic immigrant in another serious minded peoples country.

Oga, last lasthe has to be charged to court within 48hrs or released (I stand to be corrected) the most that will be done is an autopsy to determine the cause of death, which likely will be cardiac issues.

Do you know ANC, Mandela and the rest were labeled terrorist because they resisted the invading whites? The US, Britain etc all supported white south Africans and sanctioned countries who fought side by side with the blacks and even those like Nigeria that funded the struggle. That is the same situation with Iran supporting the oppressed Palestinians and Lebanese whoes land is been stolen and it's people killed daily.

Anything is better for now than a Nuclear bombs in the hand of a lunatic Iran regime
You have been brainwashed, Iran is not the lunatic regime, the US is. Iran has not attacked anyone over the years unlike the US that has 850 military bases around the world causing problems. Iran is a member of the IAEA, but Israel is not. The US is the only country in the world to have used nukes, Iran has a fathwa against having nukes. You believe all the propaganda of Iranians being genocidal mullahs yet their president is a cardiac surgeon still making out time to walk into the operating theater to perform surgery during the conflict. Iranians are painted to be aboki salvages yet we can see that despite the sanctions to bring them down, to destroy them, their engineers have mastered it all, from rocket science( considered the peak of engineering) to medicine, to even oil extraction and refining. Despite all the bombings go and watch videos of Tehran, they have stable electricity, your country Nigeria without sanctions has none.
Oga Iran is the sane country here and if any country deserves a nuke, Iran is the one responsible enough to have one. Nukes will be their saviour if not the US will never give up until they own what is under the soil of Iran ie the oil, without which the Petro dollar is doomed. Why do you think the US blocaded and invaded Venezuela? Why do you think the US sets up bases encycling Russia, pushed Georgia and later Ukraine to trigger Russia into a war to weaken it.
Oga do you even know Iranians are so sophisticated they have consistently toped countries producing the most engineers? Infact at a time they lead the pack. Today they are number 5 on the list just behind the US, they top countries such as Japan, Germany, South Korea, Germany etc..
